This was our Christmas Eve dinner spot with my son and his family while he visited. We had been before and this time didn't disappoint either. We did have a reservation and were seated as soon as we checked in. It was busy but our Server was extremely attentive and friendly. She entertained our 8 year old granddaughter and was quick to bring us everything we requested. We started with the Brisket Queso and chips as an appetizer with was scrumptious. Such a wonderful smoked brisket flavor. For entrees we had a Porterhouse, Ribeye and Filet. All were cooked as requested, full of flavor and so juicy and tender. The smoked macaroni and cheese is one of the best sides I've had. The kids meals included mini corn dogs and a burger with was great as well. Their grilled Pineapple Margarita was unique and delicious! Our mouths dropped when she brought out the Chocolate and Carrot cakes we ordered for dessert. Each slice was huge and decadent! Our daughter just wanted our side of potato soup for her meal (3 adults ordered the surf and turf specials) and our sweet server put it in a big bowl for her. The food was just as amazing on our 2nd trip here. The ambiance was even better because no loud cellphone talker at a table near us this time. We are typically in this are 1x a month picking up family from the airport, in 2 years we have not actually went back to restaurant again, we just pick something new to try each time. We've visited this location before and enjoyed our food. We were kind of last minute trying to get Mother's Day reservations but thankfully we were able to make a reservation here. We had a group of about 14 and once we were all there we may have waited about an additional 10 minutes before we were seated. I ordered the steak and ribs, with the chicken tortilla soup as well. The soup had a good flavor and the bread was good. However a few of us at the table had steaks and none of them were cooked right. I ordered a medium well steak and it looked more medium/medium rare. The same thing happened to two others in our party. One sent it back, but when it came back it still wasn't cooked enough so they just had it taken off their bill. Some people enjoyed their fish as it was seasoned well, but my aunt had fish that was over seasoned/ salty. Food just wasn't consistent, but it was packed because it was Mother's Day so I'd still give them another try in the future. I just wouldn't get a steak again. read more

The service was cool I went for my niece's birthday party, I'm not a big fan of Saltgrass (I prefer Texas Roadhouse, it's the Texas girl in me lol) the food was lacking season/flavor/salt. But I didn't complain, it was edible. The drink (Tito's Texas Tea) was weak, didn't do anything but make me hot lol but again the service was good considering the fact that we had a large group. The food is always OUTSTANDING....so delicious! We go about 2-3 times a month and our favorite server is MILES! Very professional, polite young man and is such a fantastic server. I have celiac and they have a gluten free bun they bring out that is SO SO GOOD! Their steaks are YUMMY and don't forget to order a TITO'S TEXAS TEA to drink, They are phenomenal! Very disappointing experience. I walked into Saltgrass near closing hoping to place a quick order, but the staff was standing around the bar and no one acknowledged me. It felt very unwelcoming. Someone eventually offered to take my order, but by then the environment felt rushed and uncomfortable, so I decided to leave. Customer service should still matter, even close to closing. read more

Wow!! What an incredible experience shared with visiting family members. As my first time at this establishment, I had no idea that the steaks would be so good. Sean, our server, touted of the deliciousness prepared in their kitchen and he was spot on with those praises. By the way, Sean was an excellent server and I would recommend his tables. Everyone ordered steaks and I got the bone-in rib eye, w/loaded baked potato and a shareable dish of mushrooms and onions.... succulent! Everyone was amazed with how delicious, seasoned and tender their steaks were, chef's kiss!! We ordered two appetizers for the table: fried pickles and the queso cheese dip with brisket, green onions and pico de gallo, both were very good!! Oh and their house bread is beyond yummy! It was warm, soft and delectable. The atmosphere was inviting, aside from the GM choosing certain tables to visit and not others. I went today around 11:30 am before the big crowds. Our waiter's name was Blake. Blake. He had a great personality and understood how to transition from small talk to ordering from the menu. We decided to have my Mom and her twin's 70th birthday celebration at saltgrass. I made all of the arrangements with the manager, Eric. He reserved a party room for us which was mostly private. Eric was very easy to work with and even called me the morning of the event to make sure he had all of his details correct. The room was set up at 3:30 even though we were 30 minutes early. We were allowed to do separate checks by group which was very convenient for everyone. Our waiter. Blake was absolutely amazing. He was very personable and very kind. Blake and the other waiters were like a well oiled machine. Even though there were 40 of us everything came out quickly and correctly. We started with the fried mushrooms, which were light and delicious and not greasy at all. For my meal I had a Caesar salad with the 6 ounce fillet and sweet potato fries. Everything was cooked perfectly. A few people ordered the pork chops which they said were fantastic. We were allowed to bring an outside cake in which was very nice. They even gave us plates and forks to serve it. Overall, this was an A+ experience and the birthday girl and boy we're very happy with everything. We ordered the brisket queso, ribeye and wagon steak cuts, cranberry salads and an assortment of to-go orders. The steak cuts were juicy and tender and the sides were decent enough but the real winner was the brisket queso that contained multitudes of smoky brisket meat and spicy cheese layers. That said, our overall dining experience left a lot to be desired: Our waiter kept forgetting to bring us things--like side salads and lemons--and seemed to be generally overwhelmed and flustered by the number of people that he had to wait on. He also got half of the to-go order wrong so we had to wait an additional eight minutes for the right food to arrive. I also noticed that his brow was sweaty, he smelled of marijuana and he appeared to be actively shaking. We all felt sorry for him as he seemed like a genuinely good guy who had just never waited on so many tables before, but unfortunately the experience was not a particularly pleasant one. 5/10 Maybe just order their takeout (and check it twice) or avoid the dinnertime rush altogether. read more

We started off with a 6:30pm reservation on a Friday night. Got our Bread, Appetizers and Salads.....Then everything went to hell. We ordered Two (2) 16 oz. Prime Ribs as our entree's. After 40 minutes of waiting, we decided that it was time to go. We asked several times and were told that the kitchen was backed up. That's understandable, but the Prime Rib is already cooked and all they had to do is cut whichever side of the Rib you ordered...Rare, Med Rare, Med or Well. Let me also state that the tables that came at least 15 minutes after we ordered our steaks, received their full meals... The Manager, Deviin was very apologetic and pleasant, but the circumstances are unacceptable. I must assume that the waiter must have forgotten to put in our order? This establishment has to do a better job in training their staff. We didn't take it out on him and left him a nice tip for the items we had. I'm even a Member which I'm guessing doesn't have much weight. This wasn't our first mishap, soooooo THREE STRIKES AND YOUR OUT SALTGRASS. read more
