They said they service our brand/model and said the visit would cost $149, to be applied to any repair. When the technician diagnosed the unit, he agreed it was the compressor. He gave us an estimate and collected his $149. We thought Appliance King was going to do the repair. But less than 5 minutes after they left, they called and said they do not service our brand/model. So, basically, they stole $149 and our time in bad faith.

For an $1,800 dishwasher, that's incredibly disappointing. Now I've got a new dishwasher that's less intelligent and less useful than my old one, and I'm confused that nobody at Ferguson thought to mention that for only $100 more, we could get a much better solution.
