Wow there's a lot of vacuums waiting to be picked up.
    Marc Aka Max H.

So how did I end up at this place? Well, my contractor/advisor/consultant asked me "do you think Dennis would like a central vacuum system installed in the house?" And I thought, "hmm, I never thought of that, Dennis does love to keep the house spotless and our vacuum has always been an integral part of our relationship, so let me check it out. Why not?" Note, before I continue, at the risk of sounding sexist, I do vacuum and know how to vacuum, but I'm not "allowed" to vacuum in our house. Why? Cause Dennis feels I don't vacuum "properly" and he likes to do it himself. And what isn't "proper" about my vacuum technique? Well, I might not get every last speck of dust from under the bed. Or I don't move every piece of furniture to attack that minuscule dust ball. Or I don't vigorously vacuum the sofa. You get it, right? So you learn which battles to fight and which ones to concede, so I don't vacuum. But I want my man to have the best vacuum my humble civil service pension can afford! So my awesome contractor/consultant had Yorem, the owner of this business, come to our house, which doesn't have an interior wall remaining, gave him a plan, and he came back with a proposal. And I figured let me go check out how this system works and what the various options were and whether this was for me. When walking into this shop, located not far from King's Point, one is immediately attacked with the clutter of a sea of vacuums all sitting patiently, upright, having been repaired and waiting for the return of their mistress or master to take them home. It was incredible. It was a jungle of units. You couldn't see anything other than these units and then on the walls from floor to ceiling were displayed parts and vacuum bags. Like a zillion of them. I thought I had walked into some movie set of the revenge of the vacuums. And there was hardly an inch of space to stand. Really. I kid you not. And then there were the occasional sewing machines hanging out here and there, also waiting for pickup. Like hey, people still sew? Who sews? What do they sew? Why do they sew? Do Yelpers sew their outfits together before going to an event? Some of the women with those ripped up jeans should consider doing that. (Do you really think they are attractive?) My friend Marsha who is close to 70 wears old wears them and I always ask her if she needs some $ to buy a new pair of jeans! And the guys with the t shirts which have holes in them should just toss them away, and if they can't part with them, wash them before an event. Buddy, I'm not into your body odor, regardless of what you've heard about me, but let me not digress. Too much. Why don't people bring stuff that needs sewing to a dry cleaner and have those nice quiet men and women who alter clothes do it for them. Feed the economy. Don't buy a sewing machine. Anyway, Yorem explained how the central system works, even took me to his office to show me a video, and answered my dozen questions and showed me my floor plan and how he came up with the system he proposed. He was very patient, and explained everything. So, am I getting the system? No. Why? Dennis doesn't want it. And why he doesn't want it has nothing to do with this business. Bottom line, if you have a vacuum needing repair or are clinging to a sewing machine for whatever reasons you have and it needs repair, go here. They have been in business a zillion years and can't be dishonest like the one star reviews indicate or they would have closed down a long time ago. They have another location in East Boca so you can go there if it's closer to where you live. It's a locally owned business and should be considered if your vacuum is sick and needs care. I don't know what they charge, but if all these 90 year old folks from Kings Point are bringing their units there, they can't be that outrageous cause these folks have lived through a depression and know how to save money. I'll let you know what kind of new vacuum we eventually get. I'm sure you're holding your breadth.

Low key. Experienced technicians. Looking out for your best interests and teaching if you're open to it.

Poor customer service. Takes way too long to get the repair quote or even if it can be repaired. Don't understand their business concept.
