For the average person, it's easy to overlook this market.. but it's a hidden gem in plain sight…read more We get fish here almost every week and try all the types of fresh fish options just for fun. We haven't been let down yet. They will clean, behead and tail the fish all the way down to cutting steaks out of the fish here for free. They actually will even deep dry the whole fish! The prices are really good and they have some cool candies, treats and produce options here. The service can either be really good or really bad, there is no in between. No matter the service, I'll be shopping here lol. They also have a decent little restaurant take out section where we got a few items that weren't bad at all. The whole duck is pretty good and they'll even chop it up for you.

I genuinely liked shopping here, which is what makes this situation so disappointing. During a recent visit, I had an extremely disturbing interaction with security where I was pepper sprayed multiple times, cornered in a bathroom stall, accused of stealing (when I didn't), and even had a KNIFE pointed at me when I was just trying to leave which has ultimately completely changed how I view this place. What should have been a normal shopping trip escalated into something that left me feeling unsafe and honestly shocked by how things were handled. I never expected to walk into a grocery store and leave feeling the way I did. I'm not writing this because of one bad day -- I'm writing it because trust matters. When you've been a regular somewhere and something serious happens, the response and accountability matter just as much as the incident itself. Unfortunately, this experience changed my perception of the store entirely. The company does not want to fire him so be aware when you go that he'll be waiting for you, and nothing will determine when he attacks!

Because my favorite was always being shredded chicken but I did not give a chance on the grilled chicken. Now my favorite will be grilled chicken taco trays. You get 12 piece of tacos filled with meat onion and cilantro plus they will also give us salsa and lime. It was enough to feed 6 people with extras. DoorDash ordering sometime you could not let them know what you want on sauces and any other extra. I think if you order through the phone and pick up the food is way better. You probably will get all what you want on the condiments. I am just glad they have door dash. Ambiance can really tell you because over the years it has always been door dash. If you have a party try out their Fajita combo tray and taco trays.

I ordered the grilled chicken super burrito for my husband, which he also enjoyed, and I got the Carne Asada Torta, which was just ok. I wouldn't get it again because it was really messy! The lettuce were cut in huge pieces and the pieces of queso looked like chicken tenders! The workers weren't too friendly and you're not able to put any of the garnishes (guacamole, salsa, etc) on the side.

We stopped by on a trip as we were passing through and wanted to pick up some snacks. They did have quite a bit of produce, dairy, eggs, breads, cereal, meats, etc, but alas they didn't have the snacks we were looking for, namely chicharones which we eat like chips. I also noticed there weren't that much plants/vegetable seedling starts for sale compared to other GO's. Staff were mostly busy checking customers, but when I stopped a staff to ask for the chips section, he was friendly and pointed the way despite looking busy and on his way to getting something or taking care of some business. The store is on the small side and felt a bit cluttered even though it is organized. There's just not that much space and so some aisles looked kinda of random, with categories of items put together that don't go together that well, for example, having snacks in two different sections of the store. There was not much of a NOSH (natural organic stuff) aisle either, but for a smaller grocery store, it's not bad.

But this is the first Grocery Outlet to enter my area, so I have known of it since the early 2000s. I had just mentioned that this is one of smaller Groc Outs I have ever been in. And for some reason it is harder for me to find things here, or find the right aisles. I think it is because it looks like they expanded their space and took over the space next door. Right when I think I reached the end of the store, the liquor, chips and snacks curl around the corner, not visible from the other side of the store. I'm also not a fan of the parking lot here, just an older style of retail strip type of parking. Tighter and more chaotic when busy. And this location is definitely busy, the neighborhood just fits this grocery mode. Always a line at the registers and just hope they have enough registers open to move lines along. Usually they are pretty good. But the pricing here is still pretty darn good, given you know what you want. I pretty much know what Grocery Outlet is good for and also what to avoid, so I'm not too shocked at their quirkiness. It is actually the draw for me. Newark Groc Out is my alternative but more convenient location. I'll consistently go, but not my choice if I have time.

They have a small food court located on the side of the supermarket, very convenient to sit down and eat. I usually come here for their fresh rolls, Japanese bento plates and onigiris. Although still fresh, their deals for their 20% off are always a steal. I thought it was a weekday deal but found out it's daily and around 5pm. I ended up getting their Mr. Crazy Roll which consist of sashimi salmon and uni over California rolls. It was delicious! I always love coming here for their beauty products and anything cute like Hello Kitty or random lunch bags. My boyfriend always likes the trays of sashimi they have and likes to get those to make lunch or dinner with! Store is pretty spacious and has a great selection of fish, meats, baked foods, vegetables, and fruits (even from Japan)! I'm more interested in the Japanese snack aisle, heh. It is pricey though, so don't expect to get too many snacks unless you're bankrolled. I came for a huge bag of takowaso (my fav)! and some freshly minced but frozen wasabi.
