My partner brought me here for lunch after visiting here a few times. Saw Shop Public House used to…read morebe an actual saw shop. They have used lots of decor in remembrance of the previous business, like the big saw outside and the saw lights. Quaint establishment w/ patio seating, small bar (4 seats), good amount of tables, wooden floors. Greeted immediately with a smile. Menus, utensils and water provided quickly after we sat. Our server shared the special of the day, what wasn't currently available and when asked of his favorite quickly responded with some gems. My partner knew exactly what she wanted - Pineapple Cauliflower Salad22 (Crispy Asian cauliflower, mixed greens, cabbage, carrots, peanuts, crispy rice noodles, sesame seeds, crunchy garlic, pineapple pico, green onions, and edamame with a Basil-lime vinaigrette 1/2 Cauliflower salad). I had a bite and it was very flavorful. The cauliflower looked like orange chicken. This dish is vegan btw. I was torn between the fish and chips and the Jalapeno Bacon burger. The server said it was a favorite earlier so I went with it. (Grilled Short Rib, Brisket, Chuck patty served on a toasted brioche bun with melted cheddar cheese, bacon, fried jalapenos, lettuce, tomato, and onions with our overloaded sauce). Man was this good! The burger was juicy, the thick cuts of bacon and the sauce. Everything complimented one another nicely. They make their ketchup in house throughout the week. You can tell too! It has it's own flavor that outdoes regular ketchup. The fries were crispy, lightly salted and just enough. Service was friendly. We were checked on throughout our meal to ensure the food was good and so were we. They do offer a rewards program we signed up for. This is definitely going to be a go to spot for us. Can't wait to explore the menu!

It did look appetizing, but the taste was really off. We were there during their live band night. That was a great time. It is too bad that the ahi was so rough. On the other side, one of my family members had the special pork dish (some sort of pork tenderloin) and it was bland. The dish was pretty pricey and for the $40 that is was, it could have been flavored. The fried cauliflower and garlic bread were fantastic though.

The Gaslight Grill popped up, about a 20 minute drive away with a four-star rating. I looked at the reviews, pics, and menu and decided to give it a try. What a fun little place! The menu is great, offering a huge array of burgers and sandwiches. I had a patty melt, prepared perfectly on grilled rye, with grilled onion, and Swiss cheese which chose to upgrade the side to onion rings. My meal was fantastic! I was shocked and surprised and elated when I took my first bite! I wasn't expecting it to be that good. Others in our party had a basic cheeseburger, reportedly also exceptionally good, alongside an upgrade of sweet potato fries, that were awesome! A hot dog served on a toasted roll with very enticing condiments and freshly fried french fries, that looked absolutely appetizing! Our six-year old enjoyed his mini corn dogs, and my adult son liked his French Dip with upgraded side of chili cheese fries. All the food was really good. The atmosphere was great. An old bar that has been transformed into more of a grill, with great selections of beer and wine; no liquor it seems, which is ok since the food is as good as it is! On to service. The staff all seem to be on the younger side, but they are doing a great job with customer service! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and will definitely return. Give 'em a try if you're looking for a good meal (not fancy) in a clean, fun environment!

We came in the evening around sunset and sat outside since we had the pup. This is a great spot for lake views. It's casual and there's a decent amount of outdoor seating. Inside, we only passed in and out but it gave more of a restaurant and bar vibe for the locals. Service was friendly. To eat, I got the Turkey Bacon Avocado Sandwich. It was a good sandwich, basic but had the fixings and the fries were crispy. Companion got the Fish and Chips. Honestly, the quality and taste surpassed both of our expectations. The other items looked fine, typical American fare but a bit pricey for what it's worth. For those looking for a bite or drink with a nice view, I recommend Stowaway Grill only if you're in the area. They have a nice patio and parking outside. Find the off Lakeshore Blvd.

A busy locals spot, we were not greeted walking in but grabbed a table and someone came over with menus a few minutes later and asked if we wanted coffee. About five or so minutes later another person stopped by our table to take our order. Our food arrived timely enough but was literally dropped off by another person with no interaction. Paper menus were well used. After looking it over I went for the Dads favorite omelet, with applewood smoked chicken sausage, mushrooms and onions, jack and cheddar. Hashbrowns and toast on the side. A big breakfast, it was okay and met my needs that morning but just okay. Not the most friendly folks, no hello walking in and no thanks or good bye going out. It is what it is but it does effect my returning. 3.5 Stars rounded down for the non effort 01201

The service was friendly, the only thing we realized after the meal was that no one checked on us after we got our meals and therefore we had no opportunity to order more beverages or ask for anything we might need. The meal was ok, honestly I expected more after reading the rave reviews, but I found my California Crepe to be just so-so. Also, the iced pumpkin spice latte didn't have any pumpkin flavor to it. On the plus side, the portions are huge and the menu is very extensive. I appreciated the amount of vegetarian options! Even though I didn't rave about my meal, I'd still come back to try something else. A few in my party had the chicken fried steak and they said it was very good!
