(3.75 stars) I was in the area while reading the weekly Yelp email when it mentions a great pizza deal in Orange. Hey, I'm in Orange right now. After checking the map via Yelp Mobile, I realize I was less than 2 miles away from a great cheap meal. I couldn't pass it up. So I drove over and found it; a small Pizza shop next door to Subway (thanks Subway, your guy on the corner flipping the Subway Sign helped me catch the sign of Valentino's too). The inside isn't any where near a date place; in fact, it looks more like it was beat up and hasn't been dusted in years. There are some old arcade machines and about 8 chairs and two small tables inside. The rest is the counter and the oven where they cook the pizzas. Fortunately, the cooking side looks very clean and organized (especially compared to the side customers place orders). The prices are decent, but the real steal is Special #1; 1 Large pizza with 1 topping - $5.99+tax. The toppings are typical too, except they also had anchovies, diced chicken, beef, and garlic as toppings. And I actually didn't see the garlic until after wards so that's why I ended up with a diced chicken pizza. I got it to go and when I finally opened the box, I was amazed how large the pizza was. I mean, for $6.51, I figured it would be smaller than CPK pizza. Nope, this pizza was at least 13" in diameter. I took a few bites of the first slice; oooh, the dough is so soft and fluffy. And the sauce ... it tastes great; nice and mild and isn't too acidic. And it looked like it had fresh herbs; I'm guessing oregano or basil. The cheese was a nice then layer that was melted although it wasn't overloaded. Actually, because the pizza was so tasty and light, gobbling down three slices seemed like nothing. Do I dare go for a fourth? No, I had to go back to work so no food coma for me ... yet. I saved the rest for later. The only complain is how skimpy the chicken topping was. Every slice had about one to two slices of chicken and that's it. It wasn't completely covering the pizza like a Round Table. But then, it was only $5.99+ tax. For a great price and with as much flavor as it had, Valentino's knows how to make a pizza deal that almost anyone couldn't refuse. read more

Why would you order anything other than the $5.99 one-topping large pizza? I mean, really. It's delicious and super, super cheap. It's only $1 more than Little Caesar's, but it tastes like it cost at least $15. I live and breathe for this stuff. The only thing that makes me sad is that I know after I graduate from Chapman in May, I will probably never eat here again. It's messed up and sad, but more than likely true. Sigh! read more

This place rocks with the take out, one topping $5.99 Large pizza! It's never too doughy or too saucy. My Husband and I first found this place when we lived near there. We now live about 5 miles away and purposely go there to get our pizza. This place is even cheaper than Costco's take out! Great for parties! read more

Like most people before me have said the price is very inexpensive. For the price the pizza is far better quality than some of those corporate chain pizza places (especially papa john's). I like this pizza. The crust was perfect, the toppings fresh and the cheese was nice and gooey. The employees were friendly. Good pizza at a great price. I will be ordering from here more often and put it in my "rotation" of pizza places. read more

I just stumbled upon this place, and wow, what a treat! I just got a delicious vegitarian calzone with extra jalapeño peppers for only three bucks! I got the small size, but it was plenty big for a filling lunch. Very friendly service. I may even make the drive from Long Beach to come here again just to visit Valentino's. read more

This is the best take out Pizza in Orange! Its always hot and tasty!!! Its very close to my house but they are always fast with delivery so I let them deliver most of the time! I would highly recommend Pizza form here. read more

This has taken some time to get to the review here, but it needs to be addressed. A couple months ago I ordered a pizza had some issues with the idea of the way they charge for extra toppings, and was confronted by the young kid working the front counter, very disrespectful and rude. However it does not end there once my roommate arrived to pick up the pizza he too asked about the extra topping charge and asked to speak to a manager as the your kid was rude and disrespectful to him as well. He picked up the phone called the manager who h inturn called the police. Even the police said it was a waste of time and left. Well we spoke to a manager at another location and she seemed to think this was all bad business. Assured us that the owner would return a call on Monday. As I said it's been couple months and still no call. Here is the thing the food is good but I refuse to patronize a local business that not only employes rude and disrespectfully staff, but even the owner does not care enough about his business to try to make things right. Good food aside I won't be treated this way it's easy enough to find good food elsewhere. read more

I have to admit for a cheap pizza ($6 for a large) this place is pretty good. The quality of the pizzas overall is good and the ingredients are fresh and delicious. We have tried this place a couple of times and I will continue to patronize it. read more

I'm a little biased since I grew up on this pizza, but the quality over the years has been the consistent, top notch. $7 1 topping carry out deal is one you shouldn't sleep on. I called this specific Valentino's twice and they hung up both times. By the third time they finally took my order. I usually go to the one on Chapman but they wouldn't deliver because I live closer to this one on Tustin Street. The pizza came in time and it was quite good. Valentino's has been a family favorite go-to pizza place for years! Their pizza is consistently fresh and always made just how we ordered it. The crust has just the right amount of chewiness, sauce is tangy and seasoned just right, and they found the perfect balance with the fresh cheese - not stingy but not too thick and overpowering. You can't beat the large 1-topping pizza pick up special for only $7.99. Occasionally I'm put on hold when I call to order but I look at it as a good sign that they're busy! Great pizza for work luncheons. Cheap, warm, pretty good, and friendly efficient service. I ordered the veggie, the meat lovers, and the bbq chicken. All pretty good. But I have had way better like 3 Saucy Broads in Fullerton. Now that's more gourmet and more my style. But I think this work well in an office setting where mass appeal is important. read more

Pizza was good not great, I ordered 3 medium pizzas and side order buffalo wings. Well it took them over an hour and half to deliver, pizza was warm not hot.. what upset me was no call because pizza was late no chilli pepper flakes or parmesan cheese. read more

We order delivery from here last night and we were not disappointed. The estimated time of arrival was on point. The pizza was piping hot not like it was sitting around cooling off. The pizza was delicious and they give you options for your crust which I liked. The price was another huge selling point. Love this place, they make bomb pizzas at Little Cesar prices. If you call in and pick up your order you can grab a large one topping pie for 5.99 and that for a good pie, not a greasy mess that you would expect for such a cheap price. Love this place! This is my go-to for pizza delivery. I always get the pepperoni and garlic. They use fresh garlic and chop it up. Amazing. The combo and BBQ chicken are also delicious. Decent and affordable. I have never had an issue placing orders or picking up. If you want a cheap yet yummy pizza for 5 bucks this is the place to go. As far as all the complaining people should know you get what you pay for. Want a better pie go to zitos and spend 20 bucks on a large. read more
