I went to Valentinos for lunch, the drink was extremely small and filled with ice. They had also overcooked my fish. What was crazier than that is that when I recieved my bill was shocked to see that they had added a 15% gratuity automatically to my bill without my permission. I didn't mind giving a tip as I always do but was surprised to see if without any warning. The waiter then proceeded to say that it was written on the menu. I asked for the menu and the manager and sure enough , here it was in fine print. This is a scam. I do not recommend this place for service and I have had better food. Please read the fine print. Daiquiris are small, with whipped cream taking up a lot of volume in the glass. Cheesecake seemed to have been assembled upside down, with the graham cracker crust sandwiched between the cheesecake and the cherry topping. My gripe with this is that I didn't like the crumb's grainy texture mixed with the cherry topping, which is itself fairly smooth and I'm used to pairing with creamy cheesecake instead. They're open 24 hours and when you get off at 4am and are sick of breakfast food, this is nice. I got the crab ravioli and it was lukewarm. The Caesar salad is drowned in dressing but they'll bring you a dry one if you request it. The breadsticks and marinara are delicious. The service is good, our waiter was courteous. Valentino's is one of my favorite restaurant I am so happy that I lived nearby it because it is open 24 hours a day. The food is delicious I don't think there's been any meals that I've had that has not been pleasing. The stuffed shrimp is amongst the Alfredo what do you like seafood chicken or playing outstanding sauce sauce and more sauce it is probably the cheesiest Alfredo I've ever had and I am most pleased and full. The service is outstanding the owner or manager as well as the staff are pleasing and you get service with a smile. It may not look like it has all the razzle-dazzle of a modern restaurant that attracts you like Friday's or some other restaurant but you have this very intimate feeling with great staff that make you feel like you've been coming to the restaurant for years and a personal service that's unmatched in this area. Valentino's gets 5 stars looks can be deceiving but the food and service outstanding! read more

This place has really won me over. I used to come here years ago in the wee hours of the morning when nothing else was open. Now I've moved back to the area and I've been coming here with my family for dinner or breakfast once or twice a month. The service is always helpful and pleasant. One of the servers turned me on to the fact that this place has really good seafood, which I never would have guessed. My son had a crabcake that was really good and reasonably priced. Last visit I had broiled cod which needed some salt but was otherwise really good. My one dislike would be that the baked potato I ordered as a side was definitely microwaved - but they have plenty of other choices for sides. I love that the menu is big and there's something for everyone. The bread sticks are soooo good. We'll keep coming back for sure if Valentino's keeps up the good work. read more

She came out with fresh breadsticks and I could've just ate that but I was dying to have my normal chicken ceasar salad , so when she took my order I was impressed because she recommended for to try my chicken blackened... When I tried the blackened ceasar salad it was like a whole different salad. The texture of the chicken with the Rich and creamy dressing was phenomenol. After my main course she brought out this well dressed dessert tray and recommended that I get the red velvet cheesecake and banana pudding I ate one here and took one to go. Hats off to valentinos world famous banana pudding. I loved it you definitely have a loyal customer here from now on Hillary will forever be my server, and blackened ceasar salad will forever be my favorite. Now off to more valentinos Special. This is one of my favorite restaurants. I have been going to this restaurant for a few years now and have never had a bad experience. When I first began going the place was in need of an upgrade in decor and their bathrooms left something to be desired but since then, they have remodeled, reupholstered, replaced their dinnerware, and gave their bathrooms a major upgrade. Ever server and manager I have ever interacted with there has been friendly. The menu is EXTENSIVE. No matter what you are in the mood for, you can find something. Prices range heavily from an inexpensive burger or sandwich to higher-priced (but still reasonable considering the quality) seafood or steak platters. You receive breadsticks complimentary. You receive dessert fruit complimentary. Someone comes over right away to give you water. I happen to love seafood and pasta. They have a blue crab ravioli and a seafood lasagna that are among my favorite entrees at any restaurant. They also have a boardwalk caesar salad which includes sea scallops, crab, and shrimp and LOTS of it. Decilicious. The wrap platters I have had were good as well as many of the sandwiches. There was a grilled chicken sandwich that was just okay but other than that I cannot think of anything I've had there that was not good or great. Once we were served an expired beer (bottled). Once we told the server she promptly apologized and retrieved a new beer. That would have been enough to satisfy us but when the check came we found out they comp'ed our whole dinner which was well above and beyond what they needed to do but that's just the level of customer service they offer. Dined at Valentino's with my aunts and uncles today. We had the worse dining experience today. I will be writing a letter to the owner and sending information to the BBB and local news channels. In essence, our server provided poor service by not introducing herself to the table, coming back to check on us to see if we needed anything (I had to drink the waters of my aunts and uncles because no one came back to refill my water glass) and she told us on multiple occasions after she miswrote our orders that we were at fault ("that's not what you said") is what she told us a minimum of four times. And we are expected to pay a 15% gratuity for such service, I think not. My food was decent at best. Retraining of staff on customer service must be done. read more

As a retired Navy Linguist, I am most definitely sure they are not speaking Italiano. Having eaten in "Diners" and Restaurants in France, Spain, New York and Baltimore. It may not be a 5 Star they are not a diner. They are a nice and in m opinion, a pretty good neighborhood restaurant. This is my spot, my second home. My favorites are Chicken Parm and French Toast. The french toast is the best. I don't even typically order french toast I am more of a pancake person. I don't know what they do, but it is just the best french toast I've ever had. The chicken parm is another star. I really wish they would offer half portions for some of their meals because they give you so much food. The chicken parm could be a meal for two. There cheesecake is also excellent. So I came with three friends, we were all hungry and my friend was celebrating here last few days in baltimore and we gave this place a shot( never was one to get caught in the hype about these place due to location) but we get our appetizers and everything was fine till the server says basically we had to pay the money for the entrees now before ordering or the good gets out so basically handing us the bill while we were eating the apps..we looked at him like he was crazy because 1. Terrible way to treat a guess 2. I want to see and enjoy my meal before I pay 3. We felt rushed...the crowd in there are and were ghetto..loud and belligerent. We asked for a manager and we explain to him what's the deal with paying before we get our meal, he says it's on the menu..we said show us please...NO EVIDENCE because he lied, now I can't say why I believe this came about is due to the fact there are 4 black young adults and due to the overload of "ghettoness" there we were put in same category as if we weren't going to pay. I felt very offended because I've been to many upscale places and to be treated like this in a shit hole shocked me. He didn't even want to give out the bread..I will never come to this place again, it's nasty, the manager is uneducated and it's just not the type of place you want to be in if you want quietness but we came around 1 but still if the prices are going to be moderately high and you have dequan and shaniqua along with her two hoodrat friends screaming in the restaurant..please I beg you change something, this is not the place at all!!!!!!!!! read more

I lOOOOVE this place more than any restaurant I have ever been to so far. I live in California and I went here in 09, I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo and after the first bite I was in heaven. The consistency of the pasta was absolutely divine. It wasn't too creamy or thick it was just right. The chicken breasts were tender and well cooked. To complete the dish they give you a piece of garlic bread. Yummy! I wish there was a Valentino's like this one in California. The portions are large and their prices are affordable. What I love most about this restaurant is the theme. It's an Italian restaurant and on all of the walls and menu's there are of pictures of the famous Italian dancer and silent movie actor Rudolf Valentino. I haven't been there in three years and the next time I go the MD I'll be going to Valentinos! read more

After reading some of the reviews, im confused. Maybe i got the wrong thing? Because i was not as impressed as most people on here. Then again a lot of them were last spring so who knows. Anyways, it was my first time there, my dad had been many years ago so we decided to try it. We were taken to our table as soon as we got in. The hot cocoa was very good and presented in a nice way. The breadsticks tasted funny like they were old, and i generally don't care for marinara sauce. Maybe if there was something else to dip it i would have ate more. I loved the caesar salad it was dressed very well. I did not enjoy the old ass croutons however. Very strong flavor and too buttery. I would go back again and get a caesar chicken salad, that good. I got the penne pasta with cream sauce and bacon, it wasn't the worst i've had, but it needs a lot of help. The noodles were too soft and it got very hard to get through so i ate all the bacon (cooked fresh, very yummy!) and mushrooms. The sauce was okay but i would love it it if it had more depth or something. My dad had the lasagna and i couldnt swallow it. the sauce was very strong and there was not enough cheese. Our waitress was very sweet and not overbearing. I would try again, but probably avoid the pastas. read more

Not a happy experience. Waiter brought 3 of 4 meals, and after 10 minutes I went looking for a manager. My father-in-law asked for catsup, which came only after I spoke to the manager. The side for my meal was never delivered. I ordered the garden vegetable pasta, which had few vegetables and the linguine was over cooked. The chicken teriyaki got a positive review. I dined here 2 nights ago w/ my Bestfriend as a second choice. I REALLY wish we would've just saved our money and got fast food but, she insisted on coming here to get crab legs. Now we eat here pretty often and I would say that the service is ok. This time around though, the service we received is making me honestly not want to come back. We arrived around 11:30 PM and the dining room was completely empty so we expected to be in and out. NOT THE CASE. We were seated and given menus and water. Literally 20 mins went by and nobody ever came to even ask if we wanted anything to drink besides water. I went over to the bar, where ALL of the servers were just standing around on their phones and talking, to ask if someone was going to take care of us. He followed me back to the table and we put our apps in. AGAIN, we waited 20 mins for finger food. No problem, we're hungry so we'll wait. Once it was all said and done and I got my check I was pissed. I had already said to myself that he wasn't getting a tip from me because he didn't deserve it. But, to my surprise, they automatically put a 15% gratuity on your check. Let me remind you, there were only 2 people in my party. I immediately asked for a manager. She was very polite and listened to everything I said and made me feel like she would handle it. She offered me and my Bestfriend dessert since my check was already closed out.
