My Tesla got a nail and had a gash on the side so I needed someone to take off the old tire, put on a used tire I had originally on the car and couldn't find anyone in scv that would do it. I used to live in Sylmar and visited this shop for a used tire and instantly Contacted Miguel to see if they can help. Had no problem helping, was courteous and very quick. Was in and out in 30 minutes and saved over 300 bucks by not needing to buy a new tire. Would definitely recommend if you have your own tire or if you have a car with conventional sized tires. Younger guy charges $35 for a patch, older guy is more reasonable with pricing. You can get same service down the street for $20. The only guy that I know charging that much in the valley for a patch or plug. read more

I got a flat and checked the nearest spot. Vallarta tire at the liquor store helped me out. Realized I had more than 1 with a nail and they helped me out. A bit pricey but having a car and it's maintenance is pricey in general. Will gladly return if I ever have to. read more

They charge 35 for a patch yet the other person told me 30 then a plug is 25 bucks. Really expensive not worth going there honestly. I got into an argument with the owner. They charged me 15 dollar just to see if my tire had a nail. 15 bucks for 6 minutes just to see if it had a nail. I don't even make 15 bucks in 6 minutes. Rip off. read more

Over price also they charging you because of the tire size for the same amount of work.30 dollars per patch and also if you have two nails in the same place is 60 dollars. I had a nail in my tire but luckily I found it before it caused my tire to leak. Brought it here and the guy had it fixed in about 10 minutes and only charged me $10. I was expecting $15 because of another review so I gave a $5 tip. it's cash only but the gas station it's connected to gives cash back on a purchase (with a dollar and some change fee) there aren't many reviews here so I figured I'd leave one and let people know this is the place to go for a repair. read more

What a fantastic business! Earlier today, my family got a flat tire while driving on the 210. As we got off the freeway, we did a quick Google search and found Vallarta Tire. Not only were they able to get us in immediately, the level of service from Miguel and Manuel was amazing. They helped analyze our flat tire and we determined it was ruined. Since my wife didn't want an uneven set in her car, they pull the spare off and put it on for us. Amazingly fast and we were back on the road driving to N. California. I have been here 2 times. Both times the guy who helps me is extremely rude and unprofessional. Seeing that they are 1 block away, I don't mind. But now I feel like I am being taken advantage of. They didn't have the tire size I needed so I opted for a smaller size for the mean time. A used tire the size of 225/40/18 for 55 bucks?!? Overpriced but no choice! I come back for my second visit and I park to the side so I can walk in, and talk/ask them if they can help me. He immediately yells at me "what are you doing, back up the car into the garage" so I just comply, I figure I'll never come back. I bought a correct sized tire online, and ask him to switch it for the smaller sized tire. 25 bucks for a simple tire swap. Overpriced AGAIN. And then he tries to keep the smaller tire I was changing out, I paid him and he said "ok bye" and I asked him "my tire is in the trunk right?" And he says "oh it's over here" had it in the next room over not visible to me? I understand business is tough, but this isn't the way to run a business. Poor customer service, over priced, sneaky practices (trying to keep my tire I'm sure to resell it again to some poor guy like me) And I'm a real nice guy. I'm glad I'm older and mature, if a 19 year old version of myself went through this, it would not have ended well. Everyone beware, plenty of other tire shops in the area. Don't let the 5 star reviews fool you, mostly one time customers, no local repeating customers. read more

I had a slow leak in my tire yesterday. Manuel fixed me up, found the nail, and was conscientious enough to check the whole tire for other leaks. He found one!! Plugged that up and $15 later I was back on the road. Very good, fast, nice service. I'll recommend it to my friends. read more

I was in emergent need of a repair for one tire that was losing air pressure (from about 40psi to 13psi). I looked on Yelp for a tire repair shop and found Vallarta Tires. They were getting ready to close soon but said they would wait until I arrived. I got there in time and within minutes they found the problem (a wide screw), repaired the tire and I was on my way. The guy was really rude to me during my visit there. I popped in hoping they wouldn't be occupied because for the most part when I stop by and get gas at the station they are stationed at the business is pretty slow. I couldn't stay much longer because I had to go to work so I said to him in these exact words, "thank you, I'll be back later" to which he replied his first and only words to me, "who was here first? " implicating the man in front of me he was assisting had priority which I appreciate, but never during my time there did I try to give off the impression that I was agitated that he was busy with someone else. I understood that. When I asked him, "what?" in confusion to his statement he repeated himself in slightly more agitation, "who was here first?" and asked the man he was helping the same question, the man looked just as confused by his statement as I did? The audacity? Was this guy seriously asking because he himself didn't know? I've been here before and the man who attended me then was very polite and friendly, we even talked about his grand kids, he has pictures up on the wall in his office and they're really cute, but this other man was just a big jack ass. I seriously meant it when I said that I would be back. Even if he would've nodded in acknowledgement without making eye contact I wouldn't be writing this negative review and they would be the price of a tired richer, but the fact that he was extremely rude and made the assumption that I was at all being pushy or hasty and retorting in his ill manner got them this review. Sorry buddy, you just made the list. I live literally up the street and me and my husband go to these tire places all the time because of their deals, I know one tire place though that we won't be going to anymore. I'll be sure to tell my husband not to go either. To the owner, it was nice meeting you, I hope you and your grandkids are well, but hire someone else or maybe have this disgruntled employee come in on days when he's not on his period. read more
