Side of bacon and a mocha latte.
    Alexis G.

We stopped by Valley Bistro for Sunday brunch in mid-December, and it was as great as ever. The parking lot was completely full when we arrived, but after circling a few times, we lucked out and snagged a spot as someone was pulling out. Despite how busy it was, the wait for food was only about 20 minutes--which, surprisingly, is the longest I've ever waited there. Even more surprising, the food arrived noticeably before the drinks, which was a little perplexing but didn't take away from the overall experience. We ordered a kids' egg sandwich with extra chocolatey chocolate milk, which was a hit. My breakfast companion went with the classic breakfast--two dippy eggs, bacon, wheat toast, and grits--along with a mocha latte. Everything was hot, fresh, and exactly what you want from a cozy brunch spot. This was also the first time I've ever sat in the dining room to eat. It wasn't a bad experience at all, especially with the festive holiday décor adding to the atmosphere--but if I'm being honest, warm-weather porch seating is definitely my favorite way to enjoy Valley Bistro. Crowded for a reason, consistently good, and always worth the visit--Valley Bistro continues to be one of my go-to brunch spots.

The food was OK. I wasn't a big fan of the taste of the waffle. The cheese and bacon helped with the waffle was very firm and had an interesting after taste. I was not a fan of the taste of the coffee flights. Some tasted water down and were too strong. The staff however, were really friendly and the food did not take long to come out. The dining area was open and clean.

I can't believe that I've never reviewed Valley bistro as it's one of my favorite places! My daughter and I went this morning for breakfast. There was a line, but it moved quickly. We love their grilled muffins and today we had the double chocolate muffin. It was moist and delicious. My daughter went with the classic Benedict to which she said her eggs were perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. We went with the side of their tater tots, which are always good! I wasn't real hungry so I went with the avocado toast with a fried egg on top. It was a little heavy with the lemon aïoli today but the chili flakes give it a nice cake and it's always fresh. Even though it was busy, the staff did a great job with making sure that the drinks came out and had a steady flow of food, leaving the kitchen. You would think it would be noisy, but it's not it really is a place you must try over and over again. The menu is creative with weekly specials.

We returned to Valley a bistro to dine in after far too long. I think the first time I was here was at least 5 years ago and I love how the restaurant has grown and changed, as well as how it's stayed the same. The quality of the food, and drinks, has stayed high. I had a Latte with oat milk and lavender. It was delicious. A nice tasting coffee not entirely overwhelmed. I wasn't expecting the lavender flowers on top, which was very pretty. I ordered the Salmon BLT with a side of tater tots. The serving sizes were so generous that I felt that a box would be prudent. There are boxes available near the counter where orders are taken & specialty drinks are so skillfully made. The tots were crisp with a nice crunchy exterior and soft potato inside. The sandwich was served on thick slices of Texas Toast and a sizable portion on salmon. The vegetables on the sandwich balanced the fish between spring mix of greens and avocado. The tomato, aioli & melted cheese gave the sandwich moisture. The bacon was smoky and crisp. My husband had the New Yorker and a side of home fries. He often chooses the New Yorker and had no complaints. The restroom was clean and well stocked. The floors & tables were clean and free from the detritus that sometimes accumulates after a lunch rush. The staff was friendly, active, and helpful.

I haven't had a single thing I didn't enjoy. We had the Mother Clucker sandwich with tots, the French toast trio, Rudolph's cold brew and Comet's Cookie Craze. The menu is SO BIG that we will definitely be back.

Valley bistro is a restaurant that 9/10 you're gonna be impressed with what you get. Unlike some restaurants that have extensive menus so the food doesn't get the time ( extra love and attention it deserves) this is not one of those places. All the food is delicious and you can tell love is put into every dish. The service is friendly and helpful, this place sometimes can have a line out the door but I'm telling you it's worth the wait! Ambiance is warm and cozy. If you're in the area, stop in!

This place has been on my friend's to-try list for a while, and it was well worth it. They served our coffees overflowing and both were absolutely delicious. I got the crab hash and, holy smokes, it was one of the best things I've ever had. You order at the counter, take a number, and they bring the food out to you. You'll need to grab your own silverware, napkins, etc., but the staff is happy to bring anything else you need when they drop off your meal. We'll definitely be back soon.

The food was great and delicious. The service was amazing even though there was a big line. The place was clean and it's also a family friendly place.

I love it when I can check out a restaurant/experience that I see on TikTok/FB! Some Sista-Friends and I hit 81 North to check out Valley Bistro to do Brunch and let me tell you it was worth the Hr drive! It was very busy but the flow was good and the food was delicious! If you go, don't let the line scare you because it does go pretty fast, you order at register and then you go get a table and they bring the food out to you. Drinks are self serve and don't forget to check out their awesome selection of muffins, stuffed muffins, cakes, pies, etc., but I'd recommend taking that with you to go or you can enjoy it there with there coffee selection and different coffee flights and drinks, etc. I enjoyed the New Yorker, which is a pastrami breakfast sandwich and I also got the salmon BLT , I tasted a little bit of that and it was really nice with the lemon aïoli, but I mainly brought that to have at home . My sister Friends One got the chicken and waffles, one got the New Yorker too, and they got a shrimp and grits to share they felt that their food was very delicious and they would definitely go back to try other menu items. I did get me a lemon poppy mascarpone stuffed muffin to go and a hot honey peach cheesecake which I have never heard of before to go so I'm looking forward to trying them this weekend. The food was delicious, but most importantly the fellowship, the laughs and conversations was just what my spirit needed Go check out Valley Bistro

We wanted to try this place for awhile after seeing a lot of content on Facebook. We came on a Saturday morning, so it was busy. But we were only in line for about 5-6 minutes which isn't bad considering the line was almost out the door. My latte was phenomenal, and the food was also fantastic! I do wish the chairs in the dining hall were a tad more comfortable, but otherwise it was clean, modern, and spacious! Definitely will be returning

Went for lunch and got 2 different pizzas, they were both so different and delicious. It came out quickly and wasn't too busy. There were so many good options for both breakfast and lunch, definitely would need to go back!

What's the ambiance? Reservation only? Sundays best or normal attire?

It's counter service so no reservations. Casual attire and atmosphere. Weekends are the busiest ... so there could be a wait to get your food.

Should we expect a long wait? I'm excited to try this place out with my family!

It can feel like a long wait but there is so many people waiting for food so in reality the food comes at a reasonable time. Depending on the time you go, if it is busy expect to wait 20 mins in line to order and then another 20-30 mins to get your…

Do they serve breakfast all day or does it switch to lunch at a certain time?

Staff were also on top of things as they brought out drink refills before we needed them. My Wife got the stuffed French toast and she said it was delicious. The French toast was cooked really well and it was loaded a lot of cream cheese and fruit. When I asked my Wife if anything in particular stood out, she said it tasted like it was home made. I went with the baked oatmeal, which had coconut flakes, raisins, cinnamon, and had slices of banana and strawberries. I thought it was pretty tasty, but there are bottles of syrup on each table and drizzling some over it really hit the spot for me. This is definitely a spot that we'd go back to, especially since the is sizable. The menu offered a lot of other options, including crepes, and I feel confident that their other items would also be good.

I've been driving past Morning Fuel on the Carlisle Pike for the last few months. I'm a frequent…read moredriver out that way and every time I passed it, it always looked closed. So I wasn't sure if it was one of those businesses that kind of flopped and nothing had replaced it yet. Alas, I recently found out that it is, in fact, still open. And you know what they say: don't shop on an empty stomach. I was on my way to karns, and I concur. I decided to stop at Morning Fuel so I wouldn't make any hasty purchases while shopping. So I walk in, and the first thing I notice is the music. It's blaring early-2000s-ish rock music. Think Evanescence. Pseudo-angsty music, basically playing at the volume you'd expect in a club. The decor is like a really corny First Watch (live laugh love signage and pictures of measuring cups filled with grains) perhaps with little more edge. And there are straw wrappers and bits of food on the floor, kind of like the Texas Roadhouse peanut situation, except it's not peanuts. Shortly after I was seated, they swept the floor, so I'm assuming it wasn't intentional lol. So, yeah. First Watch on crack? Maybe? First watch's angsty step sibling? First Watch with obnoxiously loud music and a little harder of an edge. And honestly, First Watch and Morning Fuel are part of the same genre. You know what you're getting. And the genre is over priced diner. As far as the food goes, I got the stuffed French toast with blueberry drizzle, and it was really good. It did its job. Nothing spectacular, but a perfectly good breakfast. Overall, I'd say Morning Fuel is pretty average, but these places are kind of a genre unto themselves, and I can see why people like them. It was also a little cheaper than First Watch, which I like but don't really go to. This would not be a recurring haunt for me by any means, but I think it will be for some people. So if you like Evanescence and nu-metal more than you like the Jonas Brothers and other corny folky music, that's what they're playing at Morning Fuel. If you like black floors and a little less of a rustic vibe, that's what Morning Fuel is about. If you like the product that First Watch serves but don't necessarily like the First Watch vibe, you can go to Morning Fuel. Similar kind of product. Packaged differently. Maybe a little cheaper.

However, I may have turned my back, but I did not forget you, CSG. I remembered the good times, the trophies, awards, and accolades for your delicious sauces, and the excellent reputation that you've had all of these years. It was finally time for "The Return." Last night, a completely enjoyable meal and great service at the bar. (The dining room was very busy, and there were several seats open at the bar). It was actually our first time sitting at the bar and I believe this will now be our regular spot to eat and drink here. Got 6 Hot and 6 Creamy Garlic Parm. These wings were the perfect size for me, a little on the small to medium side, and they were cooked well. Not perfectly crispy, but close enough, and the flavor of the wings themselves were tasting fresh and delicious. I always loved their traditional hot sauce and this was my first time trying the creamy garlic Parm. The creamy texture was a little too much for me, so probably just get the regular garlic Parm next time. No issues with flavor, just a little thick and messy. (Somehow, I got that sauce on my shirt and on the back of my neck.) The Blue cheese was a great dipper for the hot sauce but I should've ordered a large cup. I also got the Cacio E Pepe Beef sandwich with fries; it was huge and awesome! I think I would order that every time I go here in the future It was so good. I'm glad that we can now place this restaurant back on our regular rotation list. See you again soon!

We used to take the kids here, there was something for everybody and a fun atmosphere. Fast forward a few years and this place has really gone downhill. Three staff was all very young and seemed to be in a rush. OK - we can deal with that, although it wasn't even as crowded as usual on a Sunday night. We ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich (which was listed under handhelds), with the "chilli mango coleslaw" option. We also had a pork belly sandwich and smash burger for our toddler. We weren't given an option to get that medium and wete told "it just comes one way" "because it's smashed". Other restaurants always ask you how you want your burgers even if it's listed as a smash but ok - I can also live with this. The last thing we ordered we a Buffalo chicken wedge salad to share. It ended up being our undoing for the evening and the straw that broke the camels back. The "Nashville" chicken sandwich was a greasy, thin slice of completely unseasoned chicken. It wasn't spicy like it said, it was pretty soft and soggy instead of crunchy, and was totally unsalted. It was worse than when I was doing no salt from a high bp diet post partum. :( the bread fell apart and was sopping wet... I guess from some pickles and lettuce on the bottom of the sandwich? It was anything but handheld and so I ended up just scraping what chicken off I could and leaving the rest. My "chili mango" coleslaw had no mango, no spice, and was just regular plain, unsalted cole slaw. I recieved 2 teaspoons of this in a plastic cup on the side and regretted not ordering the fries instead, which looked to be a good portion size on my husbands entreé. My food order was terrible overall. 0/10 My husband said he liked his sandwich. The fries were a 6/10 because they were crunchy but they were cold. Our kids menu smash burger was all grease, and came well done. Our kid ate a few fries and they were less greasy. 3/10 The worst part of the meal was the salad... The Buffalo chicken was tasty, but the whole salad was onions and sopping in dressing. We then found a black molded rotten tomato and honestly we were sick to our stomachs after that. Like I was insisting the salad at that point and ended up finding that but what else did we already eat that was just totally rotten ?? 2/10 only for the chicken salvaging the flavor for this dish. When we told the waitress that this was distressing, like we came out to get our of the house with our baby and this was the meal (so disappointing) she did not automatically offer to take the rotten salad off the bill. We asked her to please remove it, and to her credit she did so after putting us in an awkward position to have to ask at all. We liked that this place supports local artists. For that, 2 stars For these reasons though above we will not be back here for dinner. Sorry Evergrain, we will miss you!
