Walking into Val's is a great experience by itself. The smells from the cheesecakes are amazing. The service is excellent. From the point where I walked into the door I felt welcomed. Every flavor looks delicious and before I was able to snap a photo, the cheesecake was eaten. I also bought some in jars to take home.

Been to Val's before and of course it was amazing! I ordered the whole cookies and cream cheesecake for my family and they KILLED IT because it was so good! I can't wait to be back!

FIVE stars across every board. Every cheesecake slice is amazing. Val keeps the flavors and options new and plentiful!! I'm loving the location right on Akard for selfish reasons lol it's close to work and on my way home lol. Great service, always greeted with smile ms and friendly faces. It's a nice and clean venue great for a quick grab and go. Val's has just enough room to host his cool classes, partner with other small businesses to showcase. And be a hub for encouragement and joy.

I visited Val's while visiting Dallas maybe 9 yrs ago at the original location. Here I am 9yrs later purchasing our annual thanksgiving Cheesecake from Val's. I don't live near so I'll usually stop by when in the area. I've tried probably every flavor and they all are bomb! My favorites are Bae Bae, peach cobbler and Turtle. The service is always great and the cheesecakes are always fresh! I will continue to support!

Absolutely the best cheesecake in DFW, hands down. I was thrilled to discover recently that Val's still offers their incredible cheesecakes even after the Greenville location closed. The customer service is consistently warm and welcoming, and every cheesecake option I've tried has been exceptional. You truly can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Highly recommended!

Amazing establishment! Arriving late night just prior to closing Val was gracious enough to take my order, as he and his team were walking out the door. It was late therefore menu items were limited, however the Sea Salt Mocha was PHENOMENAL! The mocha flavor wasn't overpowering, however it was the drizzle & graham crackers crush on top for me! Perfect way to end the weekend.. oh & Val came out to take a pic with me!

Its been over four years since Val opened and they now offer slices/whole cheesecake! I got a slice of strawberry cheesecake and it was so delightful! literally melt in your mouth and so smooth. The turtle can be sweeter than the plain cheesecake with fruit toppings. Honestly, I'm a simple gal so their plain cheesecake will make me so happy. I want to buy a whole cheesecake next time.

So if I tell you that I found this place by scrolling through Facebook (you know those ads we all hate) but I watched the story of how this place was founded and decided that I would stop by next time I was in the area. So the shack is located right off Maple, however this is limited parking in front so you are better off parking around the corner and just walking there. When I got there I had to wait a moment to catch the attention of the lady inside. We talked about various options and I decided on 3 (yes three!) jars - the classic strawberry cheesecake, the cookies and cream and the turtle. She told me that they would stay good in my fridge for 2 weeks or I could freeze them and they are good for 2 months. As for seating, it's limited at this location. I mean it's called the shack for a reason however there was one table and a few chairs for you to enjoy your treat and watch the cars as they pass by but I took mine home to enjoy in the comfort of my home (which equated to drowning my feelings while watching the cowboys get beat). So as of this review I've only had the classic cheesecake and it was delicious. Just enough cheesecake where I didn't feel like I would have to walk a mile the next day, it wasn't so sweet that you couldn't take more than two bites and overall just a great consistency. I won't lie, I wish that there were more strawberries but it was just so good I wanted more. The only draw back. What to do with the glass jar once you are done with it? Yeah recycle but I wish that there was a way I could turn it in and get a discount on my next one because I will definitely be back. The jar cost $6 and some change and the slice was $8 so I may splurge and get a slice vs a jar but I wouldn't be mad if someone presented me with a jar as a pick me up or "hey I was thinking of you!" Great product, definitely worth the try! So I've gone back and had the cookies & cream. Could be that it sat cold in my fridge for a couple of days however this was a much more dense cheesecake. A little too sweet for my taste but good none the less.

This is my new favorite dessert spot in DFW. The cheesecakes are fresh and taste amazing. We tried the lovers lane (red velvet) and the bae cheesecake. Both were delicacies and overall melted in your mouth. The candied walnuts were probably the best topping I've had in cheesecakes. Also, they're contactless which is huge during the current situation. You order over the phone! I brought the cheesecakes home and everyone loved it! Check out the pictures! Found this gem on Instagram last Monday since it was National Cheesecake Day. We went to the Maple location after dinner to get dessert here. I am so glad we found this spot! We ordered two jars; Greenville Ave and Lovers Lane. The Greenville Ave jar was a mint chocolate flavor. The Lovers Lane was a red velvet flavor. They did not disappoint! Now a couple of days later I found out if you bring your jars back they will offer you a discount. So naturally I went back and had two more flavors lol. This time it was Lemmon Ave and Bae. The Lemmon Ave hit the spot! So if you like lemon flavored desserts this will more than satisfy you! The Bae flavor was decadent and will definitely fulfill a sweet tooth craving. Now I'm left again with two empty jars so I guess I'll be going back again for more flavors and that sweet discount lol. Val's also offers slices and custom orders. Parking is pretty limited but there is an open lot right behind the store.

Great customer service with a smile and great cheesecake! Val's is a small, walk-up shop with SEVERAL cheesecake options! Most are served in a cute glass jar, but you can also buy slices. Prices are a little high (hubs got a slice and I got a jar, total was $15.50), but well worth the treat every once in a while. The "BAE" was sooooo good!!! Candied pecans, vanilla pudding, and caramel all atop tasty cheesecake with a graham cracker crust. Mmm mmm, good!

My family and I were in the area and decided to try Val's cheesecakes As we were approaching the establishment, we saw a young man run in, throw on an apron and proceed to take our order. My Dad reminded him that he hadn't washed his hands and the guy stated that he would. . I ordered BAE, which has vanilla pudding, caramel and candied pecans. My dad tried the salted mocha. For 2 slices, our total came to $18. Both of us were underwhelmed and had great expectations. We both felt like we could've just gotten one from Walmart.

If you are looking for the world's best cheesecake, look no further. This hole in the wall bakery has the Holy Grail of cheesecakes. I have frequented Val's for as long as I can remember while moving to Dallas. My boyfriend first introduced me to this Cheesecake Heaven after I complained about being fed up with these high end Dallas bakeries that charge too much just for a morsel of basic sugar and canned fruit. Not. At. Val's. I don't know Valorie (can I call you Valorie?) but she made the blueprint for all cheesecakes and anyone else attempting to create such decadence fails in comparison. Do yourself a favor, order enough for some today and tomorrow, because you will be disappointed and may throw yourself in a fit of rage after consuming the last bite.

It had a nice, warm, and welcoming feel, which made it a comfortable spot to sit and enjoy a quick treat. The staff was attentive and took my order pretty quickly, which I appreciated. My Americano came out hot and had a really good bold flavor. I love adding cream to my coffee, and once I did, it balanced out that strong kick perfectly. The beignets were made fresh to order and took about 7 minutes to come out. They were hot, soft, and very fluffy, almost more similar to a donut than a traditional beignet. Since most of my beignet experience comes from New Orleans, Louisiana, I definitely had a different texture in mind going in. I personally wish they had been a little crispier, especially around the edges, but they were still decent and enjoyable. Overall, I had a good experience. Between the welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, good coffee, and fresh beignets, I would definitely try Le Bon Temps again without hesitation.
