I came back here after not getting my oil changed at this location for a while just because I haven't been in the area but today it was the most convenient location. Again great job just like when I was here a year ago. The manager was lovely and the rest of the staff as well. They let you know everything thats going on as it's happening. There was some glitch in the system while I was there which they also let me know it may take a little longer, but even with this issue I was still out in a timely manner. And they handled the situation so well. No complaints from me just a good quality oil change. read more

Josh, Esteban, and another nice gentleman who I unfortunately did not get the name of, were extremely helpful. I came right before closing in a panic state, my transmission fluid was leaking. I just needed enough to get home. They figured out how to fill my transmission fluid, despite it being a difficult task just so I had enough to drive it home. They gave me really good advice and were so extremely helpful and helped calm me down. They sent me on my way and didn't even charge me for anything and I so appreciate their help. read more

As with every VIOC, this one was overpriced. As with every other oil change/minor service shop, this one tried to sell you additional services. Saving grace, it was close to instant. $50 for an oil change (with high-mileage oil) is pricey, and I had to say "no" several additional services that I knew I didn't need. But I'll pay the $25 premium over doing it myself/taking it to Midas because it was 10 minutes from start to finish and I didn't need to set up an appointment. Closing lesson - take it to a trusted mechanic for any non-routine service (look on Angie's List if you don't have one), and just say "no" to anything but what you brought it in for. read more

The absolute worst! They have absolutely no idea what they are doing. They left screws out of the piece that they remove to do the oil change and it was dragging. Went back and they supposedly fixed it but no! I was on a three hour drive when it began dragging again. Ultimately, it was damaged beyond repair and had to be thrown in the garbage. Stay away! Really good service and experience. Sitting here in the waiting room and the serviceman called me over to explain to me that he fixed my wiper blade motor. I asked him how he did it, and he showed me the quick fix: simply tightened the motor's cap. I was grateful for his honestly. The thing is, the Mercedes dealership quoted me $400+ to "repair" it. Unbelievable. Faith in humanity restored!! These guys just won my business from now on. read more

I had the oil changed on my 2016 Mercedes G wagon over the weekend. I noticed that when I left the sticker with the next service date was 3000 miles. This car goes 7500 - 10000 miles per oil change so they are clearly trying to dupe people into coming in more often. Also saw another care on fire while we waited for my car to get serviced. Not sure if there is new management there or what but I'm definitely not going back there. read more

Hi had one of my cars 2013 Honda civic brought into Valvoline in Mt.Kisco for an oil change Full synthetic maxlife they charged 85.00 for 4 qts. of oil and filter This place is such a ripoff, think twice before you go there or any place that just say just oil change. I called Valvoline and there answer to justify there price is they tap off all your fluids and do an 18 pt. inspection which they claim is included with this full service which I didn't ask them to do when I asked if I didn't want the 18pt. inspection it's because you know why you have no choice it's included so your paying not just for an oil change for which is why your bringing it there for. I tried to explained to Valvoline Headquarters that I can buy in any store there product Valvoline Maxlife full synthetic 1gal. for under 20.00 that equals 5 qts of oil which my car only takes 4 qts.that's 4.00 a qt. and they want to charge me 12.00 a qt. of oil. All they kept saying is that it's full service that they are providing but then why aren't they listing all of the other things on the bill as a charge, wait they do they put it on the side of the bill by trying to misrepresent that it's included to me, this is permissive and outright fraud. I will never go back to Valvoline for mispresenting themselves as an oil change company convenient or not. I am not cheap by all means but never felt so taken advantage of by a company like this. One of my favorite valvolines to go to. I enjoy the waiting room with the fishes. I've come here a few times and I don't have to wait long nor do I get bombarded with "do you want this service?" They tell me what's going on in my car and then they ask if they want them to handle it or if I will. There's no pressure to say yes. The manager Richard is a pleasure to talk to! Buyer Beware: I went to this location for routine oil change. They informed my headlight was burned out. I asked them to replace it. I have a Subaru and have changed the headlight on my own. It is very difficult and requires one to access the bulb through the wheel well. I was watching the technician while he was on his back pretending to change the bulb. A minute or two later he was done. It took me over a half hour to replace the bulb so I was skeptical the repair was done. After I paid, I inspected the headlamp, it was still burned out. I caught the technician in a red-faced lie. Half hour later, the bulb was repaired while I watching them. It seems the crew here are ethically challenged and will try to pull one over you especially if you're uninformed or not looking. read more

I used to think that a place like this was a good place to go for an inexpensive oil change. I went there today with a $6.00 off coupon for an oil change that I expected to be about $30.00 to $35.00. As soon as the car was in, the mechanic came and showed me the dirty oil on the dipstick. He strongly suggested an "engine flush". I told him to just change the oil. When the car was ready, the bill came to about $60.00 before applying the coupon. When I questioned it, they explained that they had used their most expensive "durablend oil", and that's why the price was high. They never asked me if I wanted their most expensive oil. They also charged an additional $4.99 for a sixth quart. Some time ago, they talked my daughter into changing her transmission fluid by showing her a dipstick with "dirty fluid" on it. It had been changed about three months earlier after a minor accident. Six months after that they talked her into another transmission fluid change. I was furious and raised hell and eventually got a refund. Bottom line... I do not trust these people. They try to scare you into buying additional services that you most probably do not need. As I was paying for my $57.00 oil change, I noticed that they charge 55.00 for an "engine flush". How many people are talked into an engine flush because a mechanic tells them their oil looks dirty? My receipt had the following comments: Recommend radiator flush, Recommend air conditioning service, Recommend power steering flush, Recommend replacement of air filter. I will never be going back to this Valvoline. read more

I used to go to this place a lot and was satisfied, except for the typical prodding to get additional services, but, my last two oil changes have convinced me to go elsewhere the next time. Not only were they trying to sell me on rotating my tires, which I told two of their people not to do, they also spilled fluid either on my engine block or exhaust manifold, which results in a nasty smell even inside the car for over a week as it burns off. Bye bye, Valvoline, you guys should get your act together. Loved the speedy service, but, don't like driving around with engine oil smelling up my car. read more

One of my employees brought a fleet vehicle here. He ended up paying $122.59 for a synthetic oil change. They convinced him that he needed "oil stabilizer" at a cost of $21.99 ($12.74 at Advanced Auto) and also charged him another $11.19 for 1.4 qts of extra oil. ($6.99 for equivalent amount at Walmart). #1. I have managed fleets for years and I have never seen a shop try to sell us oil stabilizer, even at other Valvoline stores. It is not necessary with synthetic oil, especially on a fleet car. #2. The oil treatment equates to another quart of oil, so we were really charged $11.19 for 0.4 qts of oil, expensive stuff for sure! This is not a good way to treat a fleet customer. read more

Valvoline provides a desirable service of getting an oil change without leaving the car at the auto dealer, and without an appointment and they do provide a prompt service. The waiting room is comfortable and the people are courteous. What I find objectionable is the pressure they put on me to up sell other products such as air filters. If I ask for an oil change and oil filter, that is what I want. They do not have a right to disassemble my car to remove and show me my air filter without asking my permission. My husband inspects and changes the air filters in our cars and changes them when he determines they need changing at a lower cost. read more

I had the worst experience at this place ever. They checked the cabin filter and didn't even take the time to properly installed it back. It dropped off when I was driving. So I had to go back and asked the guy to install it back. He acted like it's not their fault and He was doing me a favor. Then you know what, the guy still didn't install it properly. I went back there again. This guy were treating me like I were causing trouble for them. And you know what, it only takes 30 seconds to properly install it and they just want rush you out of the door. The company really should fire this guy. read more

I only gave this place one star because I had to. The management is terrible to say the least and their technicians are inexperienced. My wife went there because of the convenience and proximity to her job. Every time she went to get her oil changed the management would constantly try to "up-sell" services that were not required; most notably synthetic oil from conventional. So, an oil change that would normally cost $35-$45, now costs $60-$80. The worst part is the technicians would supply a sticker that would call for a new oil change at 3,000 miles. Synthetic oil is marketed on the fact that it can last upwards of an 8,000 mile interval between services. Also, with the way motors are made these days, even conventional oil can last at these intervals given normal driving conditions. Many times managers were adamant about these services and would be rude and disrespectful if the services were declined. This is why I also stopped using this place. All this being said, this is not the main ONLY reason for the poor review. On August 15th, my wife went for an oil change and to get her windshield wipers replaced- that's it! Apparently the "technician" -if that's what we're calling them here- took it upon himself to "top-off" the Freon in the air-conditioning unit. By attempting to do so, broke the air conditioner. I am by no means a mechanic, however upon further consultation from a real mechanic, Freon cannot be "topped-off." There is a system that requires the A/C unit to be attached to a special vacuum machine and pressure reading are taken. Further, if Freon needs to be added, it must be taken out in a controlled manner and then replaced with the specific amount taken out. Anyhow, after she left the facility, her A/C worked for one day and then crapped out completely- on the hottest week of the summer. She went back and the manager at the time was actually helpful and offered to resolve the problem. They "tried" to fix again and sure enough failed to do so. When we had to inconveniently bring the car to a local mechanic, we were told that the Freon was practically empty and had to be completely re-charged. That was $80 out of our pocket for an amateur mistake. Again after some consultation with a "real" mechanic it was brought to my attention that people do not top off Freon and not charge for it given the high price point of Freon. This leads me to believe that the technician at Valvoline obviously "screwed-up" under the hood and tried to cover it up with a gesture of a "free top-off" of Freon. Unless you are getting an oil change and only an oil change, I strongly recommend not using this place. You must stick to what you want because for some reason management wants to constantly up-sell unnecessary services to people who would otherwise not need them in the first place. My wife will no longer be going there either and based on the other reviews it seems as though we are not alone in our feelings. BUYER BEWARE! read more
