Valvoline is just ok. I wanted to get my oil change before heading on a road trip, so went here for a quick one because I don't have a carjack at my new place. My boyfriend usually does maintenance on my car, so I was surprised on how much an oil change can be haha! I get it, though - businesses need to be profitable. One thing that they said needed a replacement was my battery, but I purchased a new one in July. I was really worried, so I went to NAPA auto parts after to check it and they said that it was fine. Also, I went to do a couple errands after my service and my car kept making a weird noise near my glove compartment. I went to check and they reinserted my cabin filter wrong after checking it. I took my car for an oil change today and found out that 9.5 quarts was drained when my car only takes 5 quarts. My last service was done here a couple months back, so only tells me that the oil wasnt drained properly and they added an excessive amount of oil to my engine. I talked to the manager who gave me a bs answer to the problem and was of no help.DO NOT service your vehicle here they dont pay attention to what they are doing but they put a lot more effort into trying to sell you a bunch of other services and take your money!!!!! Avoid this location at all cost , literally. I went here nov 17tb for my oil change , when I got my spark plugs changed elsewherel, he noticed there was oil leaking from my car , literally dry no oil that was dec 30th , i wasn't due for another oil change until at least the beginning of January , I wasn't at the mileage nor the date to get it changed., my issue was this , they would have STILL did an oil change with an active oil leak instead of letting me know that was the issue. I had to spend way more money getting my car fixed with new parts , & new sensor as the oil was dripping down and hitting the sensor.. they're a 15 min oil change , although it's fast and " convenient " the name speaks for itself.. other than that , I can't be mad at who helped me because I'm sure they're trained about doing oil changes only , will not return !! read more

This was the Valvoline I went to last year because I was new in the area. I had a very bad experience just a few hours with another Valvoline in Corona/Norco area. However, I am giving this Valvoline a 5star. Why? They were about to close but when they still accommodated me seeing I have gone to Valvoline for my oil change services. Jeremiah is the epitome of a service manager. He LISTENED to my concerns about my car. Chase the CSR came alongside and made suggestions about my tires and break pads. No hard sell pressure just good calm advice on options I'd like to consider. The bottom side mechanic Edward, I didn't see but he got my oil changed in good time. Is there a no star option? I was recommended by my husband who brings his work trucks here. I've had the worse experiences ever! On the first visit THEY FORGOT TO PUT OIL BACK IN THE CAR. I had to bring it back and waste more of my time. The second time, yesterday they did not tighten the bolts to the Skid plate. While driving the fastrak driving 65mph it started to come off the car. I was scared with my kids in the car. Needless to say it messed up my busy day and was put in a dangerous position. I do not trust these guys!! read more

But because I've been pushing off some necessary but not mandatory services, I also got my tires rotated, air filter and cabin filters replaced, and my automatic transmission fluid replaced. Terrible place, service started of normal. After my oil was drained I noticed the tech using off brand not full synthetic Qrts. of oil. And mixing with valvoline full synthetic. ' I said hey wyd that's the wrong oil" and they dismissed my concern. As if I had blond hair... I had my kids in the car so I tried my best to be professional. I paid for the service. (Even tho they didn't do what I paid them to do) I started a claim with valvoline and since management had been calling for me to return to make it right" but I don't trust them. Avoid this place. Pro's: Very nice techs and quick in and out service, very convenient. Cons: poor quality control. They checked my air filter and left the air filter hose clamp loose. Also failed to re install one air filter box screw. Discovered issue when sensor lights went off. Ultimately a 5 minute fix at the house but could be bad for most people. read more

I sent my daughter to get her oil change, alone, for the first time today. She knew to ask for the full synthetic so that she wouldn't have to worry about getting another for approximately 6 months. She went in, told them what she wanted, paid $103, and when she got home, she seemed concerned. The little window cling they gave her said to come back in October, just 3 months time. That seemed wrong, so I called the store and talked to the manager. She was nice enough, explaining that for liability reasons they can't say to bring it back in 6 months time. Okay... I have a 3 year old Subaru (I go to the dealership for my oil changes and pay under $100), I get the full synthetic... my window cling says 6 months. What's the deal with this place? We've taken our cars to this location for years, my bad for not noticing that the place that was in this location has changed ownership. At $103, it's clear they charged her too much for an oil change that must be done every three months. She told the guy she wanted the service that lasted 6 months. IF it didn't, why did he not take the time to explain to a young person that they didn't offer it? She could have elected a different type of oil, or had the option to call a parent, or even go somewhere else for service. In any case, we will find another location for her future oil changes. I did my oil change their not too long ago and basically I was charged a lil over $300 for get an oil change from them and they didn't even rotate my tires. I've never been to a Valvoline instant oil change and I have to say, the experience here was smooth and easy thanks to Alicia and her team! I'd been taking my car to the dealership for years but as my mileage gets closer to 100k, I decided to start going to a personal mechanic. Unfortunately they aren't close to my house and as I was nearing 6k since they last did an oil change and tire rotation, I needed to get in somewhere quick. Alicia broke down their oil options best for my car as well as the scheduled maintenance that came up which was recommended by my car's manufacturer. I declined those services as I'd like to have my mechanic look at my vehicle overall, but it's really good to know they offer these other services for when I can't get in at my mechanic with my schedule. I had no idea they offered these additional services aside from oil changes. Their full synthetic oil is a bit pricier than my mechanic but for the convenience and the great service they provide, I'd say it's worth it. I also found an awesome coupon on Valvoline's website that helped me save a little over $20. I will definitely be back in the future when I can't make the time to drive out to my mechanic. I had a great experience today at Valvoline instant oil change. The young men that work there were so sweet and respectful as well as professional. I just drove in there and stayed in my car while they did all the work. At the end they showed me my oil dipstick and it showed they really did change my oil unlike jiffy lube!!!! Overall, the people working in the OIL Change Bay were very polite. Expect the upsell on cabin and oil filter, wiper blades ect. The cost for 5.8 qts of full synthetic was on the high side even with a 20% coupon, so I assume the coupon was baked into the price. I had to wait about 20 minutes to enter the bay and maybe 20 minutes to have the oil replaced...not too bad. The thing that dropped them from maybe a "3" to a "2" was the visit reminder window sticker suggesting return oil change in 3 months or 3,000 miles. The vehicle manufacturer in the Warranty & Maintenance Guide recommends oil & filter change with synthetic oil in 10K miles or 12 months under normal driving and 5K or 6 months in mostly short trips like Uber. I used to change oil every 3,500 to 4,000 miles when I used conventional oil back in the day. Synthetic oil is much more finely processed thus the extended mileage between changes. Even Synthetic blend is generally changed between 5,000 and 7,500 miles. I believe that suggesting that synthetic oil needs to be changed at 3,000 miles or 3 months is extremely deceptive on the part of this company. It makes me question the integrity of the business in general. read more
