This post is referring to Ryan from Jiffy Lube and Gerardo from Mountain View, I will post review for both businesses. First of all, HUGE thank you to Ryan. Without throwing a certain Eastvale car shop under the buss, Ryan essentially saved me from a potentially dangerous situation and who knows, could have saved my life because of the negligence of the previous shop I went to. I got all of my tires changed 2 months ago, I took one long road trip 3 hours one way, 2 hours on the way back. On the way back my car started making a tapping noise. My dad inspected, noticed a bolt missing from one of my tires, and I took it in to the original shop that day (yesterday). The shop claimed to check all my tires and replaced bolt, claiming everything was fine. Nope, still heard the sound next day. So I called original shop, main guy was busy, while waiting for call back I decided what the heck and called Jiffy Lube as I was near by. Ryan answered the call, I explained the situation, and my mistake as i am not good with car stuff he said "well, we're mainly for oil changes but how far are you? Come by I'll check it out". First off, he did not even have to do that so thank you Ryan for being kind and offering to look right off the bat. He was super helpful and friendly from the jump. Immediately, after listening to the sound and taking a quick look at the tire, he saw that 2 of the lug nuts on the tire they 'fixed' were stripped and damaged. The bolts weren't holding. My rim was loose. Essentially, if this guy never checked and if I had gone back to the original shop, who knows if they would have tried to cover it up and my tire eventually fell off?? Huuuuge safety hazard! Did they even really check? Why didn't they tell me my lug nuts were stripped on a tire they 'fixed/checked' yesterday? IN ADDITIONNN, the original shop claimed they rechecked all my tires. Tell me why this time one the guys noticed that on a DIFFERENT tire, there was a bolt the wrong size. Essentially, if I got a flat tire, my wrench would not be able to take that bolt off or on because of the size difference, aka i would have been screwed. So, did the original shop reaaaallly check all the tires? The original shop was incredibly negligent and I will do my part in making sure they know that. Ryan spotted the problem, was incredibly helpful the entire way, walked me over to Mountain View where Gerardo took over and helped me out. Gerardo ACTUALLY checked all my tires, fixed my lug nuts, gave me the proper bolt, and even mentioned the status of my break pads, etc. I truly felt taken care of. Upon explaining that to my parents, my mom said, "like they were taking care of their sister" and honestly, yeah. I didn't feel like they were trying to take advantage or sell me services, they truly were taking care of my situation, on the spot. Something the original shop failed to do, twice. Gerardo took care of me at Mountain View and because of his help I felt like I left the shop in a safe car finally. Honestly, if Ryan would not have said "how far are you? I'll check it out" who knows, the original shop could have continued to be negligent and cover up and eventually I would have been on the road with a tire flying off at 70mph or stranded with no way to change a tire. Shoot, you potentially saved my life Ryan haha. Ryan from Jiffy Lube and Gerardo from Mountain View, I cannot thank you both enough for your kindness and helpfulness. I'm not at all good with car stuff and i wish there was some way i could express my appreciation and gratitude more than this puny review because you both deserve more credit than this. They were easier to get an appointment with even in a SUNDAY. Diagnostic to get my fuses diagnosed was $99, but they were fast and found the problems. Wasn't too busy in the office and they really went the extra mile to make sure I left with what I paid for. In the end it was a few blown out bulbs and a blown fuse. They recommended replacement and I agreed. Will def come here again. read more

I went to this place as a second choice because the Mountain View tire shop in Eastvale had an extended wait time. The staff at this location asked me if I was dropping my car off. I said no and that I needed a tire checked for a leak. The employee said sorry the wait time to check your tire would be three hours. The employee said he only had one mechanic working. This is unacceptable. read more

Bryant is the man, an exemplary manager. I got a new set of tires and need them to aligned (of course), no where could take me in same day, but then I called Mountainview - Bryant answers. He got me in the same day. I walk him, immediately greeted by him with a smile and professionalism. He gave me a quote and time estimate for the service; to say the least the most painless and quickest process ever. A while back, I made an appointment that they refused to honor. I thought it was a fluke, but Just today, I, again, made an appointment, took time off work, went in, and was told that they were refusing to honor the appointment. If you are going to only provide service to walk in's, then don't allow people to make an appointment. Agreed to do the labor and waited til the job was finished to try and squeeze another $180 (in labor) for a $7 seal that was accessible during the original job. Never going here again. To be more specific from my original review ^ i went in to have an axle I had purchased on my own and couldn't return installed which was a better option than having the shop supply another one. When you remove an axle there's a seal between the axle and the transmission completely accessible during this job. If there are any issues, you will see them during this process and it is a simple fix while the axle is already off and less than $10 for a new seal. The fact a problem seal causing a leaking transmission was observed and mentioned after the job was completed wanting another $180 dollars in labor to take the new axle back off and waste time was completely ridiculous. Update: The work was done already by another mechanic. I really have no further comment or future interest with this business. read more

I've been using Mountain View tire for over 12 years and yesterday I was so let down. I waited for over three hours for an oil change, tire rotation and brake inspection. When the employee, Javier finally told me I needed new brakes I was showed some numbers written on a pad of paper. Those were supposed to be the measurements that were to indicate that I needed new rotors. I called my husband to get the ok...he said to go somewhere else. I was upset because I trusted their work at this shop and I waited so long already. It took about an other half hour just to get my car and get out of there. So I went to brake masters. The guys there said my rotors looked brand new. They were able to resurface them. I did not need new ones. This saved me over $300 dollars. I feel so disappointed that Mountain View was talking advantage of me. Why? Because I am a woman? Well....I won't be back. read more

Terrible service. Called ahead of time to schedule an oil change. When I arrive they say they're completely booked and can't work on my car. Mind you there's 5 car ports and only 1 car being worked on. I ask him how long the wait would be and he says if you wait we don't have time but if you drop it off we'll squeeze it in. I shopped around for a place to get my brakes done and this place offered a fair price and a quick turnaround. They explained what they were going to do clearly and even showed me while my car was in the lift so that I could see for myself what work would be done. The price was fair and competitive to other places and so far so good my brakes are doing great and not squeaking like at other places I've used. They have also replaced a couple of tires for me and changed my oil, and their work on those services is just as efficient with fair pricing. Definitely will return and I would recommend. I also want to mention that I have a Land Rover, which can be difficult to find service for, but they have come through for me here. read more

What they're not equipped to do, they're up front about and will recommend an alternate location if they know one. Charlie, Tony, Jacob are friendly and professional. The prices are fair and I've been treated right every time I walk in. I had some apprehension about them being purchased by Monro but thankfully the men I know stayed on board. I ran over something on the way home from Lake Arrowhead on a Sunday afternoon, and the little indicator light came on in my car to tell me to check the tire pressure. I got home to Easvale just fine, luckily, but heard hissing from my tire. While I tried to figure out what to do -- try to fix it or wait until the next day because it was late in the day on a Sunday already -- my wife called this place just to see if they were open. They were, and I decided to chance it. I didn't know what to expect, but Richard took my info, gave me an accurate time estimate, got my tire patched up, and got me on my way -- all with the utmost professionalism. Apparently I ran over a razor blade and I just needed a patch. This place USED to be my go to for any car fixes and checkup. I haven't been here in a while but I noticed there was new workers. It's not the same anymore as it used to be. They used to be considerate of my financials and would let me know what's the most important and that's it. Noowww they give me a whole list of things I supposedly need done that racks up almost $2.5k. Sure some yes, but the others? They didn't even catch that my coolant system was messed up in that list, when I noticed my car was starting to overheat. I decided to just deal with it myself and go to someone I trust. My mom even got her coolant drained and refilled by someone she trusts. And she goes in for an oil change and they tell her she needs a coolant change too??!! And brake fluid? When she juuust got it done? Seriously? And my mom said they were being rude about it when she said no to the other stuff. No I'm sick and tired of getting ripped off by mechanics. I go to a trusted mechanic instead, (what I should've done in the first place) and he tells me the people who "fixed" my car left springs loose and hoses not connected. this place is overall crap and a scam. I seriously have to recommend them. Great service very responsive. I came in because I needed a coolant system pressure test. I had thought my coolant reservoir was cracked. They told me it would take an 1.5 hour to do it. It took 3 hours total but they were double testing my car and making sure that there wasn't a problem. My cars coolant system works and they found the problem. They didn't even charge me because my car just had trapped pocket of air. Love this place and they are super nice. They DO NOT honor an appointment time and will stick you at the end of the line even if you have the first appointment. The worker I dealt with was rude and should be sweeping floors instead of dealing with customers. I have gone to this location since 2007. No more.
