Probably one of the worst Valvoline experiences I have had. The Oil Technician started off decently friendly. However, when he asked what type of oil change I wanted and my response was I believe this vehicle is only full synthetic - it was like I insulted him. How dare I ask what he was checking to advise I do my own fluids for the standoffishness to begin. He seemed to have difficulty getting my oil filter out, so much he was shaking the entire vehicle trying to get to it. He could not be spoke to. I asked a few questions and he blatantly ignored me. If a customer has a concern, the least that you could do is have the conversation. He wouldn't look at me, let alone offer any type of response. I asked three times before I was given a half ass answer. The only thing that they did right was my tire pressure. My 1st time at this location. GREAT SERVICE! All young gentlemen and a young lady who could not be nicer, more efficient, and careful with my new car's 1st oil change and tire rotation. I will definitely be back with my wife's car and will continue on with mine. I was actually able to drive right into the bay - no wait at about 10 am! I tipped my "Topside" Service Team Member, Brandon, $5 and asked for my printed receipt as I was leaving but he said he emailed it to me. Just before I released this review with a 5 Star rating, I thought to myself, let me check that receipt. I am glad I did! The changed my rating from 5 STARS to 3 STARS is because when I checked my emailed receipt, I found under "Maintenance Checks - Oil Drain Plug & Gasket, "Checked-OK" (as you would expect from a new car with 6,700 miles) yet a charge, "Replaced Drain Plug Gasket $.99" and a "Extra Oil Charge $.90". Don't you just HATE surprises and to be nickel & dimed! I'll have to THINK about giving these folks another shot. I will certainly insist of getting a hard copy receipt before I leave IF there is a next time. I even questioned the amount that I owed and was told it was the Sales Tax. Hmmm. He was extremely polite as I was on the phone and not paying any attention to what he was trying to clearly explain the service to me. I came in for an oil change for the first time in this location. in a bit of a rush, and I was taken in immediately. Nick the Manager was awesome and informative. Do NOT go to this Valvoline. They are highly unprofessional, rude, and do not like customers using a Groupon voucher. The staff joked about customers coming in using this offer and LOUDLY expressed how annoyed they were about servicing customers with it. One staff member asked another when this offer was going to be over. When he found out it expires in October, he said "f**ck that, we're not honoring this thing on Sundays anymore. I like these people and location. There is always an undertone of exploitation or up-selling in the car/oil industry. Just be smart and read a bit so you are aware beforehand as with any oil change joint. You would be a fool to think ANY service location would allow any deferred maintenance or would choose not to change a filter with 50% service life. read more

Typical scam. Every Valvoline shop I've been to says the same thing. This includes shops in MA and NY. ....Serpentine belt needs replacement, transmission fluid is burnt and should be clear, needs replacement, etc. My car was fully serviced recently so I knew it was B.S. The most obvious part of the scam wasoneof the technicians said he could replace my serpentine belt for a discount and for "cash". Not only are they ripping customers off with unnecessary upsells but the employees are ripping off their employer. read more
