I called. I had got a price of $75 and a coupon that will give me 20% off. When I arrived, they told me the same oil change would be $89 and I could get it down to 71 with the coupon. I had a horrific experience here and I will never be back. Valvoline appears to have hired a group of organized hustlers who worked together to disable my car and try to force me into buying a $229 battery. The technician made me get out of my car and got in and tampered with things inside my car. He had my entire break and steering system locked and the power to my car shut off. I went to the O'Reillys across the street and it is a good battery, as the pictures will show. I'm most afraid of the threatening stance the manager took today because they have access to my address. He insisted that my concerns are trivial and basically, too bad. He doubled down on the cheesy upsell tactics. They were working in tandem and I definitely intend to file a police report and contact the franchisee. This is unacceptable, it felt like a total, illegal strongman attempt. read more

Customer service could definitely improve. And they should hire people who know what they're doing. They don't deserve to be in business on how they're running and getting away with faulty work. My friend had the bad experience and I was in the car when the whole thing started smoking. Thankfully we were okay after we had to take it to a guy friend who fixed it. Apparently they put new oil on top of old without draining all of the old oil, which in turn caused it to overfill and billow out white grey smoke. I wish I took a video for her. Please don't go there... I don't change oil and I know this is messed up. The store is fighting it and it wasn't worth putting out more energy and money to get back $50. My advise? Just DON'T GO THERE. They will screw you, & they don't pay out from their own pockets, they just care about their name and their low paying job over the welfare of your vehicle and your rights. read more

Today I tried Valvoline for the first time, and I'm very impressed with the service I received. As a young woman, I get very nervous to go to Mechanics and any car shop, if so, whenever I am treated with respect and dignity, I am overjoyed. Today I was helped by Nicolas and Brian, and they were perfect gentleman. They explained everything in detail and my car is running smoothly. Thank you guys so much! My oil change came up to 70 something dollars, I forgot, I have the receipt I just have poor memory lol it's a lot for a synthetic blend, but they also checked my tires and they checked the engine and showed me the different compartments that I might need to consider fixing in the future such as my engine filter. I checked Google maps to see the live activity as far as how busy it was long story short it said it was not as busy. Long story short, it was the best experience! I've taken my vehicle to pep boys and the car dealership prior. I also had a 20% off coupon that they honored. A 15 minute oil change that took over 75 minutes. There were only 3 vehicles when we showed up, and one left as we arrived. Then it was just two of us. For over half an hour, staff struggled to properly operate their transmission fluid exchanger on the other car next to us. When asked if we'd like a tail light replaced, we figured sure, why not? We're gonna be here until Jesus Christ returns to the Earth so yeah might as well right? Come home and find out they couldn't even replace a tail light without also screwing that up. Can't trust this place to replace a light bulb. Don't let them touch your engine. You might get their 1 competent employee, or you might not. Don't risk your vehicle on such a gamble. Go elsewhere. Try the homeless camp down the street near Bauman's Hardware. They'll probably do a better job. read more

First time even coming to Valvoline and I was skeptical since I had a bad experience to a similar company but decided to try them out. Customer service here was FANTASTIC. I was helped out by Bree (hope this is the name I saw on your shirt, Carlos, & Michael. All were super attentive, detailed with the process, suggested services and weren't mad when I passed on some, and they all even helped me with my coupon I had. Im giving this one a 4/5 because no matter which one I go to they are friendly and professional. This particular time, I went and I brought both my cars. My wife drove one and I drove one. They said they'd give a bit of a discount. They gave me my military discount in both vehicles instead off the added discount. I realize they didn't even need to say they'd give a discount un the first place, but they honestly just gave me the same discount I already normally get. If this was any other place, I'd probably never give my business again. Though small, a lie is a lie, and it bothers me. will not ever return to this location for a simple oil change again! 1) technician did not drain oil and filled 3.7 quarts of oil on top of the old oil. vehicle smoking from tail pipe and loss of power. called to complain to corporate, customer care as well as the store on iowa in riverside. no sympathy at all, acted like i was lying about it and offered to come over to my house the following day to assess...when i tell them no thank you for the home visit, (pat) assistant manager increased his sarcasm towards me and continued to defend the technician (brandon) and said 4 times on a recorded line that he watched the "dvd" of the service on my vehicle and it all looked good to him and added that in the video, a technician showed me the dipstick "on video" like that would have any baring on what had occurred during work performed. (pat) then criticized the bolts that honda uses on my skid plate from the dealership, like that had anything to do again with work performed. along side the 3 extra quarts and the darkest/dirtiest oil you can imagine, i noticed the skid plate was now missing bolts and was partially hanging from the bottom of the vehicle. after speaking with customer care, corporate and the assistance manager at valvoline location, i am left with zero assistance on what to do about possible damage caused to my motor. after having the work done by a professional, i am still left with this experience and possible future problems with my vehicle. the next step is going to make a claim with the bureau of automotive repair to help expose this horrible experience. $110.00 oil change along with 2 days of missing work because i wanted to save time and have "valvoline" do my oil change and rotate my tires. read more

My car was behaving badly yesterday (1/7/2021) -- first telling me to add oil via the display messaging, then smoking as I left the gas station, and, all the crazy procedures just to check the oil level (which Mike helped me with). Mike was very patient, and spent his valuable time diagnosing, confirming, and resolving my issue: I had over-filled my oil. And, his co-worker filled my tires with air while the oil was drained -- a true measure of efficiency and resource allocation. I couldn't be happier, and I am indebted to Mike and his crew! I usually go to spOILed and pay a little over 60.They give me the same kind of oil as well as checkng and filling up my fluids. Besides the fast service I got here I paid over 100 and got less done. None of my fluids were checked because I had to fill them up myself and I noticed it was time to buy a new battery.. Why didn't they let me know these things? especially with the price I paid.. First experience: They drained the wrong which was the transmission fluid instead of the oil by pulling the wrong plug when they were giving me an oil change and ended up having to have a different mechanic having to come from a different store to come assist and ended up giving me the better top of the line quality because THEY messed up. Last and FINAL time: If I could give 0 stars I would. I only come here because I have no one to watch my kids and I need oil changes so I come here. (I'm done now) they were supposed to flush and put new radiator fluid and when they did that they poked a whole inside of my radiator and now it leaks!!!!!! Every time I've gone to this specific location I've always had issues with my car after. I'm not entirely sure the mechanics there know what they're doing or they are not handling each car with care. The communication is terrible and I recommend to go to a dealership instead. I never have been a satisfied customer there and regret funding them. They change oil fast, which is why I still gave them some stars. Why I didn't give them the extra 2 is because they are SNEAKY. My wife brought our car to get our oil changed-- they said they tested our battery and that we needed to change it ASAP and that it was operating well below the normal range. When my wife told me when she came home I proceeded to check the voltage myself and it was perfectly fine.. well within the correct range in fact! They discovered I had a bad battery, nail in my tire and of course was way over due for a oil change! Plus I travel all over the place due to work! I had them all replaced at a good price along with a discount due for being a essential worker/1st responder! Highest recommendations, great customer service and knowledgeable.
