They explain everything and give quotes & the decision is mine if I want the services. They are affordable and I get coupons now by mail, but you can also get them on their website. Do not go there my car was working perfectly fine dispite the intake box screws being stripped they still were trying to take off the filter to look at it, one the got it off they huddle around the see what they are going to do they completely take the some of the front end things without checking to see if they have the bulb. Once everything is apart they find out they don't have it and can't be done so they try and put the parts back and once I leave I'm think the cars fine runs good. About an hour later the car jerks really bad and I'm assuming it had to be something with that they did. I go under the hood to see the box for the filter isn't even on correctly, screw was missing , and most importantly I'm stranded on the road at 2 am never am I going here again go to a real shop instead. I took my vehicle here last week for a simple oil chang. I had no prior issues with my vehicle. Durning my service they informed me that they did not have to correct wrench to remove my oil filter which resulted to them cracking my radiator during their aggressive attempt to remove the filter.They deny all responsibility and is giving me the run around. If I would've know they were not licensed mechanic I would have never brought my vehicle to their establishment because now I have to pay an outrageous amount of money to correct their negligence. do not go here if you dont know anything about cars. do not let your kids or wife go here by themselves. i sent my wife theere to get and oil change and inquire about check engine light. i was on the phone with her. they wanted $280 for oil change on her range rover. they said car needs special european synthetic blend. that $120 more than any other oil change we've ever gotten. when she declined. they lowered the price to $150.00. then gave her this song and dance about what was wrong with engine and quoted her thousands. she asked for print out so she can research. they said they cant print it out. she asked to take a picture of the diagnosis. they said they cant they already changed the screen. A service that has been free literally everywhere since the invention of rubber. That alone tells you everything you need to know about their corporate greed spiral. Understaffed, slow, confused, and clearly running on pressure tactics instead of competence. When I finally backed out of the line, a desperate employee chased me down begging me to stay like I was about to cancel their quarterly bonus. I had to explain to a grown adult that charging customers for AIR while making them wait half an hour is not customer service. It is exploitation with a uniform. I have used this valvoline before but I will not again even though it is my closest spot. My last visit I arrived just as another sedan was pulling in. The parked behind a car in bay one, I parked in bay two behind another vehicle. About twenty minutes after arriving I had an employee come to my window and inform me they needed me to reverse. Not thinking much of it I immediately complied thinking the car in the bay may have needed to back up. But instead they guided the sedan who had arrived moments before me into my spot and instructed me to take theirs in bay one. Confused I did, assuming maybe one bay was better for the service they required. Instead after another five minutes the car in bay two finished and the sedan was taken back. Meanwhile they were still working on the car in front of me quite significantly. I inquired with an employee why I was forced to switch and he said it was because the other car had arrived before me. I pointed out they had only arrived moments before me and I had chosen the bay that was moving faster but now I was being pushed back at least another fifteen to twenty minutes after already waiting 25. The employee insisted it was the policy to take cars in order of arrival and I said what about when the line is three cars deep, I am certain you don't switch cars then. he admitted they did not so essentially I was just forced to give up my place in line based on a policy that can only be followed when one to two cars are waiting. I went Oil changers instead and in addition to being incredibly kind, they washed my windshield, asked if I needed any other services and were very quick. read more

The service is good but it is like they up sell on many things - that's good for the car. I am sure the cost is more than do it yourself- I just wish it was cheaper. Part of the problem I remember working in a store that sold automobiles cans of oil back in the mid 1970s and comparing to what I pay now it blows my mind. Well...First of all I've NEVER experienced service like this in my entire adult life where they actually do it with YOU personally watching them. The service was FAST, efficient and courteous. Of course they try to upsell things you may need but they handled it in a professional manner and didn't try to lie, but made it a personal choice instead. They didn't offer to clean or do anything about it. They were supposed to fill my front tires and never did that as well. I will never be coming back to this location. After all I'm rolling in a brand new Cooper. Smh The customer service was non existent. It's been better in the past. Not impressed this time. One last tidbit; the gentleman cashed me out and told me to have a good day. That's the good part. The not so good part is that it was prior to the other guy putting the oil into the vehicle. I regularly get my oil changed at my local Valvoline along with other minor maintenance. This location is not my regular Valvoline. On this occasion I was about to start a four-hour drive and my tire light was on indicating low pressure. I stopped here and assumed that my air was filled. I realize sometimes the light does not go off right away but after running a couple errands nearby the light was still on. Being that I was still in the area I went to America's Tire in the same area. Before I even drove off the light was off. The tech there said my pressure was low so not sure exactly what they did at Valvoline or why I even wasted my time there. read more

So I went to replace it at the same location, and what do ya know, a second leak. Half my oil gone. I waited over an hour both times at the other location. So I had enough with the other location. I came to Riverside and they shared what had happened, that there was a brand that the other location used that does not work well, so they put a different one in. But THIS LOCATION is the BEST! On-site techs are doing their best but they made a mistake in recommending a tire rotation. They opted to recommend me a time-interval based rotation instead of a tread-based rotation. I ended up with the least tread on my front tires and best tread on back tires. Turning, stability, safety is all in question now. I called and spoke with a "Kay" or "Jay" to ask what time they close today as it is Christmas Eve, I got no answer. Once I expressed that I was hoping to get the service reversed they were not interested in my concern. They took no accountability and made me feel like a loser for seeking accountability in their role in recommending an unsafe service. They said I would have to pay for the service again. Keep in mind when coming to a Valvoline that they may try to sell you unneeded services and in this case, a service which in turn renders your vehicle unsafe or accident-prone. A service is supposed to better the situation and not worsen it or exploit the circumstances. Really disappointed in the representative I spoke with as they did not have a team or winning attitude.
