First time coming to an instant oil change service, for context. I arrive and there are three cars having their oil changed at the same time, with no one else waiting in line. I line up behind a car and am waiting 10-15 minutes without anyone having come up to me at this point. Eventually, another person drives up and is immediately greeted and let known where to go, before I make confused eye-contact with the person who greeted them, given I wasn't told anything. After a few minutes, the man working there walks over to my car and lets me know to get into a different lane that will be finishing soon, so I do so. Turns out the person who arrived after me was placed into a lane that finished first, while I was placed into a lane that still needed more time, despite the additional time I spent waiting without having been instructed on where to go. Seeing that someone who had just gotten there was immediately greeted while I was only greeted shortly afterwards, despite having been in line for more than 10 minutes was already not the best experience, but something I was willing to let go. Realizing that I was given a spot where I would be waiting for an additional length of time after the person who got there 10 minutes after me was awful and enough to get me to leave. For context, if you are going there alone as a woman and don't have a newer model car, I would advise you not to go by yourself (or without a male companion). I came in for an oil change yesterday, January 12, and was the only customer in the bay at the time. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly and professional, so this message is not meant as an attack, just an important FYI. As is typical, I was offered additional services, and this time I agreed to have my air filter replaced. During that process, I personally observed the technician struggling to reinstall the air filter. He even told a coworker that he was having trouble getting it back in properly, and it was clear there was difficulty getting the part seated correctly. After I left, I noticed some mild shaking while driving, but it wasn't severe at first. I drove to Anaheim and, on the return trip, the vibration became much worse once I reached Corona. I assumed it might just need time to settle, so I waited until the next day. Unfortunately, the shaking worsened, especially when accelerating, and my check engine light came on. I took my car to my Honda specialist today, and he found that the intake tube connected to the air filter had been damaged. This was not an issue prior to my visit, my car was running perfectly before the oil change and air filter replacement. I'm not here to assign blame, but the timing and circumstances are concerning. I now have to pay out of pocket to repair damage that did not exist before this service, and it occurred immediately after the air filter was handled and struggled with during my visit. I wanted to make you aware of this situation so it can be reviewed and addressed internally. I will not be returning for future service, but I believe you should know what happened. read more

do not go here if you dont know anything about cars. do not let your kids or wife go here by themselves. i sent my wife theere to get and oil change and inquire about check engine light. i was on the phone with her. they wanted $280 for oil change on her range rover. they said car needs special european synthetic blend. that $120 more than any other oil change we've ever gotten. when she declined. they lowered the price to $150.00. then gave her this song and dance about what was wrong with engine and quoted her thousands. she asked for print out so she can research. they said they cant print it out. she asked to take a picture of the diagnosis. they said they cant they already changed the screen. ( i heard them say this while on the phone with her ) then she asked if that was the reason for the check engine light was on. they said they dont know . they dont have the cord to diagnos onthe check engine light. = so how did they know what was wrong previously ?? = i told her to just get her oil change and leave. she called me back crying. my wife is a very attrative petite asian lady who drives a luxury vehicle. she said valvoline manager corey humilated her. told her she can afford an expensive car but cant afford the maintenance. told her to buy a toyota next time. told her nice car. told her she looks like she has money . but she's broke. read more

Usually come here for oil changes due to the convenience and speed of service. Today was different. I was served by the manager, Brian, and Patrick performed the oil change. It normally goes well and smooth, and the was the case today. However, I especially wanted to shout out Brian. As I was looking around and just watching everything, he was bouncing from bay to bay, encouraging his employees. Saw him give multiple high fives to the workers and just generally encouraging them as they provided service. Everyone seemed to be on task and enjoying their jobs. Staff was ok, pushy when it came to purchasing a new air filter, the technician came to my window and said "man, that's a dirty air filter" Asked me twice to check my lights after the first technician stated that they were all fine. Towards the end of the service, they mentioned that they noticed a leak of my transmission. I found it odd since there have been zero leaks in my driveway. When leaving my next destination, I noticed a puddle of clear liquid and noticed the leak when i pulled into my driveway. You know, it took these guys about 2.5 hours to change my oil, because the kid changing the oil jarred one of my sensors out of place and the car started convulsing and shaking when I tried to drive off. I drove back, and they spent about 2 hours trying to figure out what was going on. I'm not faulting the technician. Accidents happen. But the owner drove in to see what was going on and didn't even acknowledge me. He didn't apologize, ask how I was doing, nothing. He didn't even offer a partial credit for eating over 2 hours of my time in a place that prides itself for quick oil changes. And to add insult to injury, I expressed my displeasure to the technician, and he told me he would get a partial credit on my Visa. That credit never came; it was all a bunch of BS. Lesson learned! Go to a mechanic that knows what he's doing. read more

2 minutes ago NEW Took my wife's navigator in for an oil change and tire rotation today and It was a terrible experience. Waited 15 min and drove in. The tech scanned my car, checked all my lights and opened the hood. After talking with me for a few minutes and realizing that I'm a regular there he tells me he has another customer in the far lane who was waiting alittle bit longer and I would need to pull around and wait again. He said' "your a cool guy, a regular and I'm sure you will understand just go ahead and pull around". It caught me off guard and I was surprised that even though my lane moved a bit faster then the other guy, I couldn't believe they were gonna hold that against me and stop me in the middle of my service just to make the other guy happy. So I asked the tech well how about closing my hood so I can drive around and he said it's ok just leave it open so we don't have to open it when you pull around. After I pulled forward I got out and closed it myself. This was the worse service I've ever had at a car maintenance related business and I would never go back. I own 5 vehicles and always had these guys service them but never again!!! Jiffy lube here we come!!! read more

I had my oil and oil filter changed here yesterday (7/22/2022). It cost me an arm and a leg, granted my vehicle is a GMC pick up w/ diesel motor, 10 qts of synthetic oil. This morning I found an large oil spot on my garage floor. After checking I found oil filter loose. Thankfully I found this as I'm going on a long trip. I came to get an oil change on my Ford Flex today, and I was politely greeted by a very nice gentleman (who ended up telling me he was the assistant manager when I left), he asked if I'd ever been there or to a drive thru oil change at all, and I said no. He was extremely friendly, informative and not at all pushy to get me to purchase any additional services. The oil change was VERY fast (I'd say less than 10 mins), and the other employee, who's name I didn't catch but was a female was extremely kind was well. He was informative without over selling items. The crew that changed my oil went through all of the filters, they did a thorough safety inspection, topped off fluids. I've taken my car here a few times, and the staff is amazing. Patty helped me yesterday, and her customer service was out of this world. Very polite, showed sincere care for the small talk we were having, and I left feeling great about my interaction. I looked at other reviews and they are laughable. I work and build old cars as a hobby, and have every tool necessary to do routine maintenance, but hate doing it. I have no issue paying extra, to sit and relax, have good conversations, and have my maintenance done. If you are worried about paying a convenience fee, do it yourself, and stop complaining about price. A price which I feel is very reasonable, and very well laid out BEFORE they did any work. All in all, the employees seem happy, and I think it's an excellent entry job to lead them into a mechanic career, and Valvoline obviously takes care of them. They did not force or encourage additional work, but they did inform me that I have a small oil leak (which I knew about). The rear engine sear is leaking a bit.. The work was done quickly and they ensured the work was done by showing me the oil level. I really like their invoice system. I got an email from them detailing the work.
