DO NOT GO HERE!!!. All shady staff. I went for oil change and they said they also rotate tires. I am a mechanic and can rotate my tires. All they did was undo the lug nut and put the same tires back instead of moving back tire to front. I was watching the whole time. I mentioned it at the time of payment but the lady claimed her mechanic switched the tires front to back and also told me to come back next day for my tires to be toque down. Other tire places has their toque wrench ready and toque down same day. These guys are not tire people and I wasted my $30 and I don't believe i got the expensive synthetic oil I paid for either read more

took my dodge ram there for a oil change and the kid was trying to get the oil filter in about 6 times apparently he never put it in correctly after and after a oil leak I took it to my mechanic and he said it ruined the oil filter adapter/cooler and it cot me 700$ to replace it. don't take your vech there manager and customer service did nothing at all for even after I brought the damaged part and showed them . Terrible. Been here a couple times for oil changes, no issues with the oil change. Staff are very pushy about fixing other parts of the car, etc. after I said no, I was asked again about my light above my license plate because it was out, I agreed to pay for them to fix it. At this point, they already offered me 10% off my total. The workers ended up breaking the lights and needed to order a whole new part. The manager was very apologetic and informed me the parts would be here in a few weeks. This was back in February. I called mid April to ask, maybe the parts came in and they forgot. I was informed the parts weren't in yet and they would call me when they arrived. We are now in May and I haven't heard a thing. Meanwhile, no one has kept in touch with me or offered me anything. Looked up a local oil change spot and drove over. After waiting a bit I pulled in and was greeted . Was told the only oil they offer which would work in my car is full synthetic for $89 . I drive a Chevy Equinox one of the most common care in America . After saying that is too much in. Heartbeat she offered to drop the price $20.00 . I left and won't return. This place is great...if you can wait to get in. Seems to always be swamped with a wait time of over half an hour. If you see two cars or more lined up outside of the bay, go another time or find another place. You'll spend more in gas (keeping the heat on during the winter) idling there than what it would take just to drive to even another one of their locations that may not be as swamped. Like I said, once you're in, the service here is excellent. The only issue is how popular they are. Too bad the location doesn't have enough room to add another bay or more staff to accommodate the demand here. read more

I took my "new to me" 2020 Chrysler Pacifca to this facility because the engine light was on showing an oil issue. The manager, Jeff, went above and beyond to troubleshoot the issue and called it correctly: cracked oil filter housing from the prior oil change at the dealership at which I just purchased the van the day before. Fortunately, the repair was covered under waranty. Overall, a very positive experience at this establishment and I highly recommend them. read more

I didn't appreciate being pressured out of a tire rotation because the line was getting long and being told that it wouldn't make a difference. I didn't appreciate that when I took it to a different establishment for alignment, they told me I needed my tires rotated. I didn't appreciate that valvoline employees began changing my cabin air filter after I said I didn't want to change it. I'd recommend trying a different place for a simple oil change. read more

Ben, the manager, was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. I'm a young female, so whenever I go to auto repairs I'm usually jipped. He pulls his weight in the shop and was patient with a new employee that he was in the process of training. Valvoline employees also gave me a discount because I'm a student. Wait time was about 10 minutes on a Saturday morning. No complaints. read more

Went to Valvoline in Liverpool and the inspection station was down. So I went to the Fairmount store and Josh said they only had three stickers needed to be reserved for re-inspections and told me to go to Auburn where Thomas said the inspector left at 1:30. So needless to say, I traveled 50 miles for nothing, never got my inspection and wasted time and gas because of their incompetence. Beware!!!! read more

I really don't know where to start. I've been going to Valvoline off of Crouse for over 3 years. I'm an Uber driver and my car requires an oil change every 3 to 4 weeks. So in those three years, no issues with them. One day their lines were too long so I tried the Valvoline on Erie. This is where things went wrong. They tell me I have a beat up skid plate and missing bolts. I asked how many, they said about 8. This was odd to me because the undercarriage work was done this past January by CarStar on W Genessee. Through my insurance company. So this made no sense. The guy asked for zip ties and put them where the missing bolts were. The second time I took the car in for an oil change on Erie blvd in Dewitt, I was told that I was missing 4 bolts. The third time it was 3 bolts. And now every time I hit a bump in the road you can hear the skid plate moving. I don't know what to do at this point. I don't want to go back to Valvoline, but everywhere else takes forever. I don't know what to do. I don't get under my car so I don't know what's going on. So I no longer trust Carstar or Valvoline and I need this fixed. read more

Pros: Fast oil change and you get in and out quickly. Always have coupons available online or via text. Staff is very professional and friendly Cons: not competitively priced, there are several other shops within a few miles that have oil changes for a fraction of the price. Even with a coupon they are only $5 cheaper than my Honda dealer. Regardless of location they ALWAYS try to sell you more than what you came in for. My son took his car in three different times to get an inspection and either nobody was there to do it or the computer was down. I took it in and finally got it inspected and it failed because of the third brake light. Ok. I had the bulbs at home but was willing to pay just to get it done and over with. He said he could replace it but then said he couldn't cause it was an led strip. It is an led strip but it's individual bulbs so he could of done it if he knew what he was doing. ( my teenage son fixed it at home) I went back the next day and they told me the guy had just left!! So that's five trips I've made and I don't live close by. This is at the Auburn, NY valvoline. I will be going elsewhere for inspections. read more
