Horrible service they didn't put my skid plate back on my car correctly after an oil change and it costed me a tow truck and just under a 1000 dollars in repairs. I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone. Would leave negative stars if possible and the company denied my claim that one of there employees didn't do their job correctly. Started going straight back to my dealer never had a problem as stupid as that one since. read more

An quick update because I'm disappointed... for two reasons: 1) No longer is does this place fall into the "instant" category. My last visit took just over one hour (after being told "it'll just be 15 mins..."). That's a LONG time for a simple oil change that, at this same location (which I've been coming to for years), used to take a fraction of that time. 2) For the first time ever I have oil on my garage floor... In the several years I've had oil changed on several different vehicles this has NEVER happened. I took it back (literally only put 14 miles on since the change) and they said everything was fine. Yet I'm left with an uncertain feeling now and will be watching for more spotting. For both of these facts I'm hesitant to return to this location. I'm not sure where this degradation of service has spawned from but it is very disappointing. read more

Can I give negative stars? I knew the moment their technician took an hour and a half to "change my oil and run fluids through it" that they were doing something wrong. I drive a basic 2018 Ford Escape with 75k miles, and the guy couldn't figure out how to screw back on the cap to my oil (he had to ask another technician to step in and try to help, which he couldn't either). My car did not drive the same after and was punchy. My engine blew yesterday while I was on the highway and came to a complete stop in the left-hand lane; I had to get it towed and now have to buy a new car. I get regular oil changes and checkups; this should not be happening. Do not go here, they do not know what they're doing. read more

I followed the arrows to an open bay and started to pull in when a uniformed employee ran out screaming "Stop! There's a hole there!" We'll , of course there's a hole. We took our truck to a Valvoline location and they didn't put the drain plug in correctly and all the oil leaked out of the truck leaving us with a check engine sign and oil sitting underneath the vehicle. Well, 400 dollars later and it's fixed. We filed a complaint with corporate and they asked for our dealerships name and number so they could contact them and they'd reach out to us. They didn't contact our dealership, I confirmed with them before this review. But they told us "this is out of our hands because you already got the problem fixed". 1. We're we supposed to trust them with our vehicle again? And 2. They NEVER called the dealership to investigate. I've never heard of a company not reimbursing people for mistakes THEIR techs made. What's the point of even filing a claim with a company that doesn't give a shit about their customers. Completely ridiculous. Our whole family has had their vehicles serviced at valvoline and have never encountered this issue, but believe me, no one in our family will be going back and we're going to continue to pass the word along. Thanks Valvoline. Really appreciate it. Update: Valvoline doesn't take responsibility of their actions if you have to take care of the issue yourself. No, they want you wait on their people to diagnose the vehicle, and then to TRUST THEIR TECHS to service your vehicle AFTER they're the ones that damaged it. Sorry, we won't be trusting our vehicles with any Valvoline considering you guys can't even put a drain plug in correctly. Take your vehicles literally anywhere else than this company. read more

If I could give 0 stars after this experience, I would. I was a customer for years since moving to the area. However I will make it a point to never return again. I took my vehicle for a tire check. The Assistant Manager at the time also took a look at my fluid levels. He said I needed coolant and windshield wiper fluid. It was no charge at the time of service. 1 week later, my car overheats and there is brown sludge coming out of the coolant pipes. Towed it to the dealership, where I was told I will need to replace the engine, coolant pipes, radiator, thermostat and heater core, as the sludge is throughout the engine. It's inoperable. I called and opened a claim with Valvoline. An estimate of repairs was given to me which I forwarded to Valvoline. Valvoline's Area Manager is saying he viewed the vehicle and determined the issues are not from the service. They are not taking any responsibility for the repairs and subsequent rental costs. I called the dealer to confirm; they state no one has been out to view the vehicle at all. Which confirms that someone is trying to get out of doing their job. This shady business will not receive another penny out of me. read more

Quick, easy and efficient oil change! Every other place along 38 in this area had a 1-2 week wait to get our oil changed. This was great because we had no wait and did not have to leave our car. TLDR: Got an oil change, skid plate was not re-attached properly & had to be replaced. Valvoline corporate, and store management have given me the run around for 4 weeks, hung up on me, and will not reimburse me. I live very close to this Wheaton, Illinois Valvoline Instant Oil Change location, my 2019 car needed an oil change. Everything was smooth, employees were kind, helpful and courteous. I didn't drive my car for 2 days, and as soon as I hit a speed over 40 miles per hour I heard terrible scraping. I immediately went to my dealership and they confirmed that the skid plate was not attached properly in the front, and when I reached a certain level of air resistance, it was scraping the pavement. It needed to be replaced. I immediately reached out to Valvoline corporate and was called swiftly by Wheaton store manager Andrew. Andrew was extremely apologetic, told me he wished I came back to their location as they could get the parts cheaper; but would get me in touch with Area Manager Tim. I did not hear anything for 9 days, so I got back in touch with chat support and they said they'd follow up for me. I got a call back that afternoon from Wheaton store manager Andrew. He was upset, he believed that it was settled because I did not come back to him to fix the damage. I reminded him what he told me, and then he changed modes into doubting there even was damage, telling me he needed the physical skid plate (which was replaced) to pay for any damages. I offered him all of the documentation with itemized information and price and he declined me and insisted I bring him the skid plate (he knew I did not have this). While offering to provide the proof and contact information for the service manager that replaced the skid plate, Adam said "You know what..." and hung up on me. I immediately called corporate and they were extremely apologetic, promising me that they would make sure Area Manager Tim would follow up with me and then follow up with them. Another full week goes by and I didn't receive a call, contacted Valvoline support again and was told "We can't help you because it is a franchise, Tim is the ultimate authority and we will make sure he calls you". Here I am almost a week later and I've heard nothing. I don't write reviews, I don't intend for this to change my situation, I just want to warn other people in the Wheaton / Glen Ellyn, Illinois area to get your oil changed elsewhere. Mistakes happen, but these people will give you the run-around for a month, hang up on you, and never own up to their mistakes. Valvoline has no interest in what happens to their customers after they have their money. read more

I've aways been a dealership goer, which is such a time suck. Sitting for hours to get an oil change is not feasible with a young child, so I'm glad I found this location. I was able to pull right in, get my oil changed and be on my way very quickly! The staff was nice. I enjoyed sitting in my car for the process, it 100% minutes eased the stress of not knowing what's happening or how long it'll be. Prices seemed fair enough (log on to their site for coupons!!). This review is because there was not a single mask worn until I told the person assisting me that I distanced and she would have to take my mileage verbally instead of sticking her unmasked face in my car. She then put on a mask, but the beauty of the "no touch" Valvoline oil change is completely voided if employees seem to ignore that we live in a HIGH transmission locale! I can get 2 oil changes from an auto dealer in the area for what it costs here....why are we willing to pay? NO TOUCH....COVID. read more

I have been dealing with the regional manager concerning a faulty oil change and it has been a nightmare. I have spent countless hours over 3 weeks trying to get a resolution, but no one seems to care. I was told on a few occasions somebody would call, even told once that a message was left, IT WAS NOT. The worst customer service from high end management that I have ever experienced . To make a long story short, when my car's oil light when on 2 months after an oil change, I checked and it was almost dry. I went to my mechanic and checked for leaks but there were none. It appeared as if the drain plug was stripped, and not able to be removed through normal methods. The oil was so dark in the oil pan that my mechanic doubts the oil was changed at all. Valvoline denies doing the faulty work and says we should have brought the car back to them. I did not do this because I thought there was something wrong with the car, so my mechanic was the logical 1st choice. I went to Valvoline second to give them the information. They did not believe me. I have never left a bad review, it's not my style, but I am honestly shocked with how poor my experience has been. read more

They don't try to sell you and push you to spend money on filters and such that you don't need. They were professional, polite and up front. They topped everything off including air in tires. I called Valvoline Instant Oil today with a unique problem. I needed to change my oil, but could not get my hood open. I called to make sure they could at least try to help. Spoke with Andrew the service manager, he without questions said bring it in. When I arrived he had my hood open in less than 60 seconds. They did a quick and efficient oil change, covering my entire car. Andrew could have easily said we can't help you, and I would of understood. Thanks for the great work!! read more
