Last time I was there there was a guy with a beard who looked like I was boring the f*ck out of him. He was annoyed that I didn't buy a windshield wiper and then didn't even bother to go over the maintenance recommendations or try the upsell like they usually do. They wouldn't have put air in my tires unless I asked for it. I asked him if they had any coupons and he said he didn't know. How hard is it to just say "google it and you'll find one." I wonder if this is the same guy that was trying to tell me that synthetic wasn't any better than conventional. Don't even get me started on the time they lost my oil cap and then I'm guessing screwed a replacement on, stripping the threads. I found out when all of the oil drained out of my car and I had to replace the oil pan. There's a new girl working there who's super sweet and another guy that's likable enough. This (Chandler st. Worcester MA) was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I brought my parents' car in for a routine oil change, and during the service they cracked the oil filter. I sat in the car for over two hours while they attempted to fix the issue. In the end, they told me there was "nothing they could do" and that the car would need to be taken to a mechanic. Because of this, I lost multiple days of work, and they are refusing to compensate me in any way. Their excuse was that the filter cracked because the oil change wasn't done on time, which makes no sense given that the damage happened while the car was in their care. There was no accountability, no solution, and no concern for the inconvenience they caused. I strongly recommend staying away from this place. read more

They made a hole in my oil cap. The guy I believe couldn't get my oil cap of so I see them with a wrench or pliers in their hands twisting something off Then they say that I have to replace it because the thread is off. My bro in law smelled oil a couple of days ago and apparently they clamped it so hard they made a hole and didn't say anything. HAD OIL LEAKING for days and didn't even know. I even tipped the guy. My go to is always Valvoline because it's close by. This evening I came in about an hour and a half before they closed. Only two guys were working & were incredibly polite & easy going. The worst part about being a woman and going to get an oil change is trying to avoid being 'mansplained' into extra things that your car 'needs.' Didn't get that this time. I've been going to this location before it was bought by Valvoline. The staff and management turnover is very fast. For the most part the staff and manager would do a decent and most of the time great job. My last visit not so good. They usually suggest additional services but not this time. The person draining the oil underneath took a lot longer than usual and the person added more oil which I thought was weird. A few days later I noticed a leak in my driveway so I brought it to my regular mechanic. He said whoever changed the oil never changed the filter and my mechanic had to change a gasket. I'll be dropping off my car at my mechanic for oil changes from now on even if it takes longer. The speed and convenience of this place is not worth it. read more

Amazing customer service and top notch vehicle services. Went in for my first oil change and tire rotation on a brand new 2018 Kia Sportage SX. Staff highly detail oriented and very professional/friendly. Most of all great hours and it's drive through. Working an office job it's impossible to get to the dealership. No appointment necessary. I'll always only do my oil changes here and never the dealership. Only major maintenance intervals will I use the dealership services. I'm not sure why this place has mixed reviews but my vehicle and I were treated like a king. Price wise it's not any cheaper than the dealership but I get to watch and hear everything they do. What impressed me the most was after they put in the new oil the tech came over to the window and showed my the oil level on the dipstick was at full capacity. Went to this hell hole thinking "oh I'll get a quick and easy oil change". While Im there I figured oh what da heck I'll get a tire rotation too! What an idiot I was thinking it would go smooth!! The worker starts kicking my hub cap with his steel toe boot and shatters the hub cap. Not only did the manager tell me he couldn't discount me for the oil change or tire rotation he expected me to go home and research the cost of the hub cap.... Purchase it and then come back and show him a receipt for the hub cap. Absolutely outrageous. I'll look into what I can do to screw them over like they screwed me over and damaged my car. read more

I dont know the name of the worker, but when explaining why I needed synthetic oil instead of conventional, just cause I was "Asian" he assumed I should know what kind of services to get for my Hyundai. What does that have to do with knowledge of my car? Simply cause im "Asian"? Disgusting. Never coming back to this Valvoline again. Also $95 for my service? Quick, efficient way to get an oil change! Jason was wonderful in giving me a coupon with me having to ask, not to mention Terrance & Imani were very helpful and friendly. A bit pricey but they changed my oil while I didn't have to move along with replacing my wipers and changing out my filter. Strongly recommend coming here for car services! read more

On 2/4/18, I went to a store on Chandler St in Worcester to get my engine coolant flushed. I expected the service to be done well, and while traveling out of town, my coolant gauge stopped working. I took it to a local shop and was told that when my coolant was flushed, it was not flushed completely and it is now clogged, which is why I was not receiving any temperature readings on my vehicle. I currently am paying 300 dollars to have this problem, that was most likely caused by careless work by one of your employees, corrected. read more

This is really disappointing. I used to always get my oil changes at this location when it was Oil Doctor and the service was exceptional. Oil Doctor had good prices and would vacuum my vehicle, they were also timely in the fashion that they got the job done in. At the new Valvoline I have 2 now pay $75 for my oil change, they don't vacuum, make me stay in the car throughout the whole process. Not coming here again read more

My daughter took her car to this Valvoline for an oil change. I provided her with the specific oil type she needed, which was standard oil, not synthetic. She told the technician what she wanted and he proceeded to over talk her and essentially bullied her into agreeing to a 99.00 synthetic oil change. He told her that her warranty would be voided with standard oil. This is false and he lied to her. The car is quite old with high miles. We take good care of it, and I drove it for years before passing it down. Not once did the car have synthetic oil. My daughter is young, and felt intimidated by the exchange. She returned home in tears after literally spending her last dollar on a high priced service that was not required. I have read the reviews and others have had similar experiences. This is the highest level of deception and should not be tolerated. Please do not support this shop! I plan to report to the shop owner as well as the BBB. read more

They rotated the tires on my wife's car, but neglected to tighten the bolts. Their job was so bad the car physically wobbled when driven. When my wife returned the car they simply tightened the bolts, instead of inspecting for damage. I contacted the corporate number who assured me that someone would follow-up within 24 business hours.
