Maybe it's just not our cup of tea but we tried this place with a 8 or so people. Only one (teenage girl) liked it. It just didn't seem to have a ton of flavor. Some had fruity flavors other had chocolate and we all tried each others desserts. None of them were very good or justified the price in anyway. It's a very lovely place to visit. Fun decor and friendly people. I am always a 'shaved snow' lover, it's just so much fun to eat, it's fluffy and soft, melts in your mouth quickly but gently. First of all the regular is huge and I couldn't finish it. This isn't shaved ice like a snow cone. The ice crystals are much smaller and fluffier. It almost reminded me of a sherbet, but it was more icy than creamy a sherbet is. It's really difficult to explain the texture. But it's cold, refreshing and it tastes amazing. Okay, I was unsure of what shaved snow was but I'm glad I found out. I ordered the Pollar Affogatto without the brownie bites (not gluten free as it's a topping and not a flavor, the menu does state all flavors are gluten free) The dessert is light, airy, and delicious. My party ordered the unicorn dust (sweetest of the bunch) Kit Kat and pollar affogatto. The regular size (about $7.00) is a great size for one person or for 2 kids to share. It's located inside of a shopping center so if you're not careful you will pass it. There is a small dining area inside and about 3 tables outside on the patio. Decided to swing by Vampire Penguin tonight as my last local small business purchase of 2021 and I think it may be my BEST purchase of the year! It's tucked away in the back corner of a shopping center, but don't let that stop you from swinging through. I picked up the pina colada snow, and my photos don't do it justice...it was huge and it was DELICIOUS! I don't know exactly what I was expecting, but i was very, very happy with the product. The mango popping boba was a game changer for the pina colada! The toppings added a great texture contrast against the snow. It has an ice cream like texture, but it's very light like shaved ice. It's the best of both worlds! I ate my entire bowl and didn't feel guilty at all (even though I probably should have!). The facility was clean, no frills, but a very comfortable environment. Found this gem while looking for desserts in the area. This dessert shop is adorable with a vampire penguin theme. There is quite the variety of snow desserts. I have already had one (strawberry cheesecake) and am about to purchase another to eat on my drive back. The Halloween theme, spider webs, vampire penguin plushies and the GIANT. GOTHIC. COUCH. So great for photo ops with said desserts. The four young ladies (Jaiyah, Jensen, Maddie and Alora) working here were very pleasant and friendly. This place is awesome. It serves some like Korean shaved ice, so instead of ice shavings with water, it's milk or flavored. The texture is heavenly! It's so much better than regular shaved ice. The decor is not really my thing but who cares. I prefer the fruity flavors over chocolatey/rich ones just because I think it pairs better with the milk ice. This is a very different kind of treat. Not overly sugary and light enough that you don't feel overly stuffed. The variety is amazing so there is certainly something that's going to catch your eye. My husband had the cinnamon coffee cake and said it tasted exactly like it. I had the toffee which had a very nice coffee flavor to it and I really enjoyed it. They do have several sizes.
