the worst car buying experience ever. I signed a contract with 5.5% rate, after week they called me and to come in and sign paperwork again. Once I got there they notified me that the rate they could approve me for was 8.25% with the payment going up $70/m after I spent 4 hours there to arrive at the payment I originally signed for. No one apologized or owned up to it, they just blamed the rate jump complete on me even though they my credit report upfront and are constantly using the same credit unions for their financing. Instead of lowering the cost to bring the payment down, they continued on running my credit with other financing institutions. Finally after 3 weeks of going back and forth with these people they decided not to do anything about it and I returned the car yesterday. I've never had a Yelp account but just created one for this occasion because it is sickening to see the lack of integrity from upper management all the way down to the sales people. The rudest people I've ever dealt with. Leasing this 2016 GMC Denali not only proved to be a disaster as far as performance, but also with the people in the service department at GMC as well!!!! I deeply regret not just going through Infinity for our 2nd vehicle. I have had to deal with the service department 3 times since I've had this truck in about a year-and-a-half. Due to issues and every single time has been a disappointment I've been misinformed I have been given promises that were never fulfilled and treated horribly! when I try to give the service manager feedback saying hey when your customer is upset having a employee be rude and make a snarky comment is not helpful. Walked in to look at older c6 corvette. There was one clearly visible on the lot, options were not my first choice. The salesman said they have a couple and asked me into the office to find where they were, after I would not sit down in his office to discuss particulars, he claimed they only had the one. I asked to drive it... We start heading around the block directly around the dealership, he says to turn back into the dealer, I said "I would like to go on the freeway" he said "we can't because our administrative assistant had left and he could not get a plate", You have got to be kidding me???? HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE customer service from KEVIN MARTIN in Van Chevy-Buick-GMC's Service Department. He's very condescending, rude, arrogant & disrespectful. When we moved to AZ 6 years ago, we had our Buick Enclave serviced at Van. Since then, we leased a vehicle from Van, bought a vehicle from Van & serviced our vehicles with Van. However, after Friday, Van will never get our business again. We'd had a bad experience with Kevin previously, but we gave him the benefit of the doubt & assumed he was simply having a bad day. After Friday, it's clear to us that either every day is a bad day for Kevin or he's simply not a good guy. For him to say to my wife (in front of our kids no less) - "...what do you want me to do about it?!" Kevin, you're a Service Manager at Van Chevy-Buick-GMC. Please provide professional & courteous service to customers - because that's your job! It's a shame for Van, as we're planning to trade-in 2 cars for new vehicles. Kevin's behavior ensured that Van won't be getting that business & needless to say, we will take our service needs elsewhere. Our hope is that someone at Van intervenes with Kevin & saves other customers from the inexcusable & offensive behavior my wife was subjected to on Friday. Called and spoke with Seth, mgr. Looking for one of the $5,000 off 2017 Acadia Denali. He had a couple so I drove over. Liked the car and still like the car. Did not get the $5,000 off the car and am trying to deal with Corp. Van's people don't return calls. Mike in finance is the guy that cancels extras that you don't want. I spoke with Mike and he was going to email me the document I needed to sign to cancel the extras. I gave him my email, called and left him a message with my email given to receptionist to be sure. Hope this gets resolved at the corp level. Thankful I live too far away to have to use them for service. read more

I called Van Buick in Scottsdale, AZ on Saturday, May 13, and I spoke with one of their salesman. He told me that I could trade in 2 vehicles and that the vehicle I owed on would be fully paid off (my other vehicle was paid off), by trading in both vehicles. When he called me back with the buy agreements, on both vehicles, I was not available, so he left me a voice message that was transcribed on my I-phone stating that I would have my loan paid off in full. I called him back to verify his message and he confirmed that my entire loan would be paid off and then I would start fresh on buying another vehicle. So, I drove 80 miles to their dealership (on Mother's Day) in my 2 vehicles (my wife drove one and I drove the other :) ). When we talked with Mark (a different salesman than the first one, as the first one was off on Sunday) he said I would owe $17,000 extra, in order to get the one vehicle I still owed on paid off. I said that this was not what I had been told on the phone. He then had me talk to the sales manager and the district manager and they still would not honor the word of their salesman. I said they should call him up to verify my story (I also showed them the transcribed message and had Mark listen to the Voice message. Mark said it didn't really matter that they were not doing what the salesman told me. I could go on with the lies and manipulation that they tried to pull off, however, I think you can see that they are not to be trusted and I strongly suggest you do not do business with them. read more

GM and Van Chevrolet: 2014 Buick Lacrosse FM radio cannot hold a radio signal and GM does not have a fix for the radio. They claim it is do to all the tall high rises and obstructions in Scottsdale and Phoenix. Then I called "Smiley.......he gave me his word he will review the situation and get back to me as far as bringing back the car and trade for something else. Buyer beware - lots of deception and down right lies. We were considering trading our 2010 Yukon Denali for an identical 2013 model with 33,000 miles. The advertised price was $33,000 but when we got there we were told it still needed to go through "reconditioning" to be sure everything was in good working order and that was going to be another $3500. We drove it and everything worked fine - just needed new tires. Then we got to the trade in - I checked the Kelly Blue Book trade-in value and the average was $17,211. They offered me $7,000 and told me it was low because the back-up camera and the navigation system didn't work. I told the salesman that was BS so we went out and showed them they both worked fine. They also tried to tell me the actuator on one of the passenger windows was going out because the window went down slowly - more BS because they all went down just fine. At that time I told them we are never going to reach a deal and ask for my keys back so we could leave. However the salesman came back with a better dear - I again told him we just want our keys so we can leave. Then the floor manager (not sure of the title) came in and tried to make another dear - again I ask for our keys back so we could leave. Next the general manager comes in and gives us the same routine. I told him about all the deception and that they are a shady dealership - of course he knew nothing about that. After he was convinced we were never going to make a deal he finally left and sent the salesman back with our keys. Wish there was an option of zero stars! read more

We had an appointment this morning at 9 am. Our sales rep, Richard, new that we wanted to test drive an Acadi Denali. When we arrived, he did not have one ready to test drive. Waited 30 mins- still no car- We said that we were leaving to go test drive an Explorer and we would be back in 30 minutes. Came back 30 minutes later - still no car. Two guys went off to get us one - 30 minutes sill no car. I have never experienced anything like this. If you are going to buy a GMC or Buick, PLEASE take your business elsewhere. Worst experience from beginning to end. When buying the car I wanted several addons and was told oh no problem we have the best tech guy in the valley. I said well if you can do that I will buy the car. When one of the options failed, i called the service manager John and he started immediately steadily raising his voice with why would I want to bring the car here its NOT Our problem. After hearing him say that with a raised and even yelling voice 10 times, I started to get angry and said I can't bare to hear you say that again. Im trying to figure out ultimately who stands behind the car and he yelled, spoke over me time and time again, at me again that ITS NOT OUR PROBLEM, TAKE IT TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP I couldn't do anything but Hang up. Its the old we can do anything when you are in the process of deciding to buy the car, but don't bring it here if there is a problem. I was told while buying the vehicle that everything was FACTORY that was being installed, but now that I have a major problem, they say I went "after market". So NOTHING is covered by Van or the warrantee. While in truth one of the two installations were done by a company (a vendor) who does all of their in house installations I had no idea qhy they would switch language, call it after market and boy now am I soooo clear they want NOTHING TO DO WITH THE VEHICLE or me as a customer. When you are the customer is it unreasonable to want a little empathy, understanding , patience? Perhaps want to ne even a little part of the solution. I am not a car mechanic and have NEVER had a service manager talk to me this way. I spent 20 years as an executive in the service business and would have calmly worked the customer towards a solution but NO, Johns clear goal was to make sure I knew they had nothing to do with it nor did they want to be part of the solution. Before I hung up I asked to be transferred to the GM which he wouldn't do, and even started arguing with me who the GM was. When I described him he said nope NEVER had anyone work here that fits that description. I asked again to be transferred and he wouldn't, back to the "we don't have anything to do with it". Finally, when he told me again that they have nothing to do with my issue and he wouldnt transfer me to the GM, I hung up. I was mad it took me 3 hours to get over it. And I garauntee if he would have simply granted my request it would have been a much milder, normal provider to the customer experience because the GM was a good guy when i talked to him when I bought the car. When I complained that I have had to drive to Phoenix 4 times to have a Cadillac dealer look at it he even had the gall to say well you drive down here all the time anyway because your dads ill. He knew I come to spend time with my father who is dying in a hospice from multiple myeloma. Thats why he felt no guilt about all my trips. Well, now that I'm clear Van wont be a part of the solution anyway, I will deal with the very nice man, the vendor not employee, who installed the parts and pray that when he solves the issue, the other piece that Van promised me when I was buying the car will end up working too. Btw, this shows they are just a small select service car shop who sells cars and changes oil. I guess my ideas and time I have available to have the whole thing fixed is totally of no concern to John. And yes I hung up on him, garauntee if you are reading this you would have too. NEVER EVER BEEN SPOKEN TO BY ANYONE let alone someone I spent $38k with. Worst experience in my life all over a dispute about who would or could fix it, how it would be fixed, when it would be fixed. Perhaps I will have another free week after my father and best friend passes away and I can take another week off to have this fixed. It also tells a lot about the service orientation of a business when Scanning all of the reviews, the owner/service organization only responds to positive reviews. There isn't one negative review with a "sorry for your experience, please contact us so we can make it right" or anything to that affect. If you are truly interested in customers and service you respond to the negative experiences. How can this all be possible and now, as someone else said, their sales people are calling me left and right to buy a new car from them. Are they KIDDING. ITS HILARIOUS. ALL OD THEIR CALLS ARE BLOCKED AUTOMATICALLY ON MY PHONE but I see when they call and just laugh. A simple problem they refused to fix or own up to. Again, they used my dying dad as the reason they didn't care how many times I came down to try to fix the problem. I was visiting my dying dad so as John said, I dont care how many times you've come down here. Tou have to come see your sick father anyway. LITERALLY!!!!! Purchased a 2015 Certified Pre owned Yukon Denali XL from Van Chevorlet and the second we signed the papers and were about to drive off the lot the A/C Compressor went out we had to come back the next day pull the car seats out of the car and take a loaner for the day. OK things do happen. Then 5 days later my wife is about to leave costco to pick up our kids from school and the car wont start. DEAD BATTERY. I called van and told them they needed to come out bring a new battery which they should have done before we bought a CERTIFIED PRE OWNED vehicle and they refused they explained that the car was not theirs it was ours and that we needed to call a 1-800 road side assistance phone # as we had also bought a $4,000 Extended warranty and they would come right out. We called the phone number all while at costco in the parking lot the roadside people said sorry we don't bring out batteries. I had to personally go to the costco JUMP START the new YUKON DENALI and then my 8 month pregnant wife had to drive 30 mins in her car all the way to the dealership to get a new battery that I then personally installed because they were much to busy to handle it. I even spoke to the Director of sales in the used car dept at van and he could have cared less about our issue he already got his $$$$ I will never buy or recommend this dealership to anyone. They don't do anything to CERTIFY these vehicles other then file the paperwork nothing is done to these cars physically to solve any of their problems !! 1 Star !!! read more

I took my Regal in for what should have been a 10 second fix - the front Buick badging fell off and all they had to do was literally pop a new one on. Was the first appointment of the day for my service advisor at 7 am. After waiting over 2 hours and watching everyone who had arrived after me leave with their fixed cars, I inquired how much longer and was told they hadn't even started working on it and that handle cars as they come in. When I reminded him I was the first customer of the day he didn't offer anything more than a shoulder shrug. I took my badgeless car and left. Worst car service experience I've ever had and yet they have their sales people hustling for new sales from the captive customers in the service waiting room. For a week we have been in constant contact w/new vehicle sales personnel from Van Buick GMC, after our experience at Liberty GMC, who gave us the run around, telling us they have what we are looking for & don't. We were VERY SPECIFIC about the vehicle I am seeking & were told they (Van) located one at one of their stock yards, but it would take some time to be transferred. They advised the vehicle would be at Van on Tuesday (7/16). That day came and went. We checked back & were told it was in transit & would be there any day. This morning (7/19), "Daniel" @ Van calls: Great news-The vehicle is in & it is exactly what we are looking for! He assures us the 2019 Yukon Denali has a 2nd row bench seat & all the other specific features we want. He proceeds to invite us there to test drive it. My husband is working in Glendale, AZ but we live in Tucson. He tells Daniel he will be in later in the afternoon, before I drive the 120+ miles to take a look at it. Daniel again confirms the vehicle is available for us to see/test drive this evening or in the morning. My hubby calls & we make plans for me to drive to Glendale after work (6PM), so we can do all this when they open in the morning. In the meantime, he braves the 30+ miles one-way, from Glendale to Scottsdale, in the afternoon commute traffic, to see the vehicle. He was met by a very cordial, professional salesman, who assisted him in attempting to locate the vehicle on the lot. He looked everywhere within their inventory...NOTHING. He checks w/Daniel & finds out it's NOT there. Daniel proceeds to tell my husband it's at one of their stock yards, but he can get it there in 2 weeks. They show him the paperwork listing the specs on the vehicle, as confirmation it is what we are looking for. My husband is appalled Daniel would have outright lied to get him there & confronts him about that fact. Daniel very smugly tells him he can get the vehicle there in 2 weeks, again and asks if he wants it. My husband tells him he won't spend his money with such a liar. Daniel crumples up the vehicle sheet & throws it aside saying, "You win some, you lose some." My husband warned the customers witnessing all this they should not purchase at Van & left to make the return trip. He called the business to speak w/the GM & Daniel got on the phone to tell him he is the ONLY manager my husband is going to get & tried to further exert his arrogance saying, So do you want to buy a vehicle? My husband was clear w/Daniel, we WILL buy a vehicle, but NOT from him; and, we WILL file a formal complaint about his conduct. Daniel insisted on talking to him about what he could have to complain about & never did put his boss on the phone...even refused the GM's name/contact info. Now, after reading reviews, I'm not surprised & don't expect much to come of all this, even w/the GM. It is clear this is just the way Van Buick GMC does business. We can find better places to spend $80K. However, I also hope others don't allow them to get away w/their shady sales tactics, unprofessionalism & lack of integrity. TAKE YOUR $ ELSEWHERE & STAY AWAY FROM VAN!! There are Felons out there more honest than Daniel & the crew @ Van Buick GMC. Daniel is fortunate I didn't drive all the way up there from Tucson. My husband demonstrated far more restraint than I would have; and, more than Daniel or Van Buick GMC deserves. Have had multiple problems with 2015 GMC Yukon. Has been in shop approximately 25-days in the first year. Although there appears to be an overwhelming amount of input and information available on the internet for the issues I am having with this vehicle (including white papers published directly by GM- the manufacturer of the vehicle), the service department "plays dumb" and acts as though I am the first 2015 GMC Yukon owner to bring up this well known, well documented issues/problems. The service department staff is courtesy and polite to your face, with friendly "hello's" and "please" and "thank you", while at the same time they are untrustworthy in their approach, how they avoid telling me (the customer?) the truth about recurring and ongoing issues with the 2015 GMC Yukon. Issues they have played dumb about to date include- vibration at 75-80MPH (service dept blames alignment, wheel balance, tires, etc.. See internet for the thousands and thousands of complaints about the same "buffeting/vibration issue"), and the "ticking noise" from engine compartment (new 2015 DI system with excessive noise), A/C that completely fails in rear of vehicle, entire steering column had to be replaced in first week of ownership, and then entire catalytic converter/muffler system, and then later the steering wheel had to be replaced (all defective). Service dept acts like its no big deal to have to bring in a BRAND NEW car for all of this repeated warranty or service issues...I see it as a monumental waste of my time (1+ hour per check in/check out, plus travel time). On last visit I was sent over to Enterprise Rent a Car to wait for 1-hour to get a loaner car, because service department gave away my GMC dealership loaner to someone else, even though I had an appointment that I scheduled the week before. read more

Let's start with my family visiting this location on Sunday August 18th, 2019. It was my intention speak a salesman from the Chevrolet side as I'd recently purchased a vehicle and had an excellent experience, however I'd entered on the Buick GMC side and was immediately pounced upon. In tow was my 22 year old daughter who was eager to purchase her first vehicle. After the inital pleasantries ,discussing need versus want price, payment haggling and 5 hours. The Buick sales manager shook my daughters hand looked her In her eyes and said " Congratulations on your first purchase. From there we were shuffled over the finance manager who went over the contract accepted my daughters down payment and allowed her to sign a contract he even suggested we take a picture to save the moment.We'd previously been told that the vehicle needed detailing and would be available for pick up on Monday. This was acceptable being that she needed insurance and most places were closed on Sunday. Fast forward to Tuesday as Monday was filled with promises of vehicle delivery upon confirmation of insurance coverage. Tuesday evening there has yet to be any vehicle delivery and now we're on a game of phone tag. I advised my daughter I'd drive her to the dealership and suggested she call to advise we'd arrive slightly before closing. The call is now transferred to the Buick sales manager who was previously unavailable on all prior calls he now states she is in need of a co-signer, which wouldn't have been an issue as I was there ready and willing to co-sign had he been honest and worked with a mustard seed of integrity this could've all been avoided , but instead he greedily used the old bait and switch .So disappointing to see dealerships are still using these tactics. How hurtful to see the joy and anticipation a young persons hopes to be cruley crushed. We've now contacted the dealership several times via phone and twice in person regarding a refund of the cash down payment only to be told the accounting department wasn't in and given their office hours. As recently as today which was the second visit regarding refund a kind young lady advised she located my daughters information and would have the account call her to set up an in person pick up of her check or confirm mailing. Needless to say once this issue is resolved we'll never do business with this dealership again. And yes I will post another review to confirm resolution. read more

Had a horrible experience at Van GMC. Took my 2007 GMC Denali in for a blown coolant line. Went to pick it up when it was supposedly done and got a warning code to shut the engine off so returned it. Second time to pick it up and had the same problem again!!! Finally on the third time to pick it up there was no code except now the two good air pressure sensors are no longer working so all 4 are out. It took years for the 2 bad sensors to go out. How do the other 2 go out while at the dealership? I denied the repair to the sensors so I guess they figured I didn't care about the 2 good ones??? Anyway, after all this, no discount, no apology, no nothing. Then my boss takes his 2004 Denali in to Van GMC for overheating and the same problem occurs the next time it is started after picking it up and driving it home. Both these instances on different vehicles occurred within 30 days of one another. Something is definitely not right at Van GMC. First and last time going to Van GMC! read more

After visiting a Chevy dealership in central phoenix and having a horrible time with their sales people and customer service, we decided to go to Van Buick. We were greeted right away and sat with Christian. Christian was amazing. He wasn't pushy or "salesy". He educated us on the car, our options, and at no point made any false promises. He was realistic but definitely tried to ensure a positive experience and made sure we left with the best deal possible. We were slightly high maintenance but that never phased Christian. The dealer off the bat offered thousands more for our trade-in that the first dealership we went to first. They do not penny pinch, and they do not try to upsell you on anything you can't afford. Finance was also a very smooth and easy going process. Thanks to Christian, we'll be returning when we need another vehicle. read more

He was helpful, honest & made sure I got a quality car within my price range. I did not pay a penny more than what I had planned on paying, and am very pleased with my purchase. I brought our 2012 Yukon Denali in for service on one of the captain's chair's mechanisms and to troubleshoot the DVD player. The car was dropped off Wednesday, August 20 in the afternoon. I was lead to believe that the car would be ready the next day. Two days went by and no one called. I had to call in myself Friday afternoon to get a status update. It was only then that I was told that the vehicle has just arrived at a bay to begin service. The fact that two full days went by without the vehicle being looked at was ridiculous. It was only after I reached out to a service manager that progress was eventually made. After which time, the car was ready within 2 hours. So my question is: Why did it take over 48 hours and a couple of phones calls on my end to have an hour or two worth of time spent on my car to complete the service request? On top of this, I had an oil change done and specifically asked if the car would be vacuumed. I was told that it would be and when it wasn't done upon arrival I was told that they wouldn't do it without charging extra for labor. The Buick people called me to set up an oil change appointment. I agreed to a weekday to avoid a long wait time which they assured me there wouldn't be. When I got there they told me I didn't even need an oil change. He told me it would take 1.5 hours and I was surprised and appalled. The technician just said oh well that's how long it takes. I went ahead with it anyway since I had already taken the time off work and was there. I waited 3 hours for my car to have an oil change. The technician came out after about 2.5 hours and said my car was just going through the wash and would be ready in a couple of minutes. I signed the paperwork and went out to my car only to find that it was still dirty and never ran through the wash. I went back inside, told the tech, he went back and took the car for a wash. 15 or so minutes later he told me it was done. He said his car wash guys had already gone home that's why it didn't get done in the first place. He then told me if I had brought it in earlier it would've been done in the first place. I told him my appointment was for 2:30 I got there at 2:25!!! It took him more than 2 hours to do the oil change that is not my fault and I was plenty early!!! On top of the fact that he lied in the first place saying it went through the wash. I told him I'd go to a different dealership next time, and he told me that I'd have to deal with a 'lower class of people' at the dealership I told him was closer to my house. I left, furious, got into my car, which was still filthy. Worst car wash I've ever had. I get a better wash at the drive through gas stations. Although the technician seemed friendly with me, the wait time and his attitude were deplorable. If I could get it done anywhere else under my lease terms (which he told me I couldn't since its 'special gm oil') I would! I definitely won't go back to that location! read more
