Not even a month later I received the registration to the car that I bought I was being charged the registration fee and the tags on the car that I had just purchased in September I have gone to the dealer multiple times to speak to my sales representative Leo and his manager Eric they have both told me that they're going to speak to their finance department I've called them multiple times to not receive an answer yet we are now in the beginning of the year January 2022 and I never got a response back I called multiple times I spoke to my sales representative multiple times to not get answers to why I was being charged. The first time that I went with that problem I also had A problem with my car my sales representative told me he was going to book me an appointment to the service department the following day to show up the following day and for them to tell me that they had nothing on the system. This is in review of the Service Department. After coming from a horrible experience at Cerritos Dodge, Dodge Corporate referred me to Mr.Robert Pane at Russell Westbrook CDJR. Rob did an amazing job at taking care of my replacement radio and my window switch. He made sure I was taken care of and expeditiously ordered the parts and had the work completed in less than one day. He also got me into a loaner car to make sure I had a way to get around. His communication was also excellent. He kept me updated with status of the replacement parts as to when they were received. He also called me with progress reports as to how the work was going when I took my car in. He has even followed up to make sure the replacement work is functioning correctly and it is, all the work done to my car is working just fine. Went ahead called about a chevy cruze 18 in which i went to go see within 30 mins. Immediately met Vianne, went for a test drive and talked about what i was looking for. The whole interaction was down to earth, straight forward no BS, good energy and spoke about my needs. So I finally got a response from this dealership via a BBB case I submitted, and they BLATANTLY LIED AND EXAGGERATED!! They said the holes were my fault from my own failed attempts!?! They said "We did mount it for her but the holes she had already drilled would not work. We drilled the correct holes and mounted the plate for her. We used covers to fill in her mistake." Are these guys for real?!? They never finished the job, that's the point of my initial complaint! Now they're making up stories?!? (See my first post!) When I first got to the dealership, I showed a service department associate named Omar the ONE SMALL drill hole I started. It was a clean mark, I just didn't have a strong enough drill to drill through metal, AND I purposely used a smaller drill bit size, which I told him. The dealership then attempted to re-drill that original hole I started, and they used a bigger size and THEY STILL FAILED! And THEY even started a 2nd hole and failed at that one as well!!! When they gave me back my car after that, another associate agreed that their own guys did a messy job!!! They never finished the job because they couldn't drill through the metal under the bumper because they didn't have the proper tools!!! So how in the world are they claiming that they did mount the plate and drilled the correct holes??? Are they all delusional?!? WOW. Ken, the Service Department Manager, said that in order to finish the job I'd have to take the car back in so another guy (who was off that day) could finish the job. And Ken said that it would cost $150+ because it would take 2 hours of labor. (I ended up taking my car to the audio shop that did my car speaker installation, and they finished the job in 30 min. and did it free of charge!) And here's the worse part, THEY DENIED the whole wrong key incident and said "We are not aware of any key issue she speaks of..." Seriously?!? There were at least 2 of their guys that were directly involved! One of their guys was even helping me and my friend to push my car out of the way when they couldn't start it because the car was blocking their driveway. And the other guy was still sitting in my car in the driver's seat steering and holding the wrong set of keys (which let me reiterate, they used to try to start my car multiple times)!!! Ken spoke to me directly after this and went on about how the car wouldn't go far without the right key and incorrect microchip in it! I don't understand why they would go so far as to make these false claims and denials. All I wanted was for them to own up to their terrible customer service and make their wrongs right!! Oh man, where to begin. Make sure you read all reviews, including hidden ones, as there are SO MANY NEGATIVE REVIEWS. The Service Dept earns a 0, and that's being generous. Sales, I would give a 2. Now, my experience. I leased a 2014 Jeep Overland at $55k. SERVICE My Service experience (advisor Terry, manager Carl) was horrific, and this result is taken from three visits, so it's not a fluke. It's fact. The last one was the icing on the cake. I brought my Jeep in for yet another recall, and they TORE UP MY BUMPER. Yes, what should have been a 5-hour job ended up as a a full week. OK, accidents happen. They don't do their own body work. Some hack shop down the street does it, and the work was HORRIFIC, with pieces missing! I followed up NUMEROUS TIMES with the service manager Carl, with no response. I simply wanted the work done right and the pieces replaced. RECALLS The visit before was of course for other recalls. They fixed one and failed to fix the other two, telling me I had to come back the next week. I of course didn't hear from them. When I called the week after, they said they had sent the parts back to HQ because they can only hold onto them for a week, so nothing could get fixed. It's incompetence and it's ridiculous. SALES The Sales experience was just typical used car sales BS. They promised me a deal before I came in, and of course when I came in they added a $5000 down payment and an extra 20% on the monthly payment, even though my credit was impeccable. Of course, we laughed and left, and a half dozen peddlers called me that night begging me to lease the car. Terrible. We agreed to a new deal, so when I came to pick the Jeep up, they of course tacked an extra $10/month. 'I'm losing money here!' Ha. Whatever, just get me out of here. read more

Okay, me and my girlfriend went over this experience over brunch and decided it was worth a review. FIRST BAD REVIEW HERE I COMEEE!! Firstly, it's hard to say who's at fault, but I can only paint the picture of my experience. Our salesman; nice man, charming accent, you can tell he works hard for the moneyy! Negotiated like a sweetheart. This review isn't about him. He did what he had to do to to make us happy. He was nice. We appreciate it. So we go into Shawshank, the vortex punishment room to talk about warranty and whatever the heck. To back track a little, we were already there TWO HOURS. Two hours AFTER we agreed to the deal... you'd think they'd jump for joy and let us go! So we go into the warranty office and the guy looks like a boy scout with a serial killer agenda. Creepy in a playful, overly strained, murderous way. First thing we say is we've been waiting for 2 hours. He doesn't say anything. Why did it take so long? No answer. We ask is who runs this place? Who runs this place? Can we talk to him? He finally looks over and says "He won't be here much longer" and goes back to his work. We look at each other befuddled. No apology?? IS NO ONE ACCOUNTABLE?? He proceeds to down talk us like we're sixth graders and demands we buy more things. We are idiots for not buying them. Disgusting. How dare you? Belittling customers? Because we're girls? I had bought a car there that I've owned for 8 months now... in that time the navigation/radio computer needed replaced 2x, the heater needed fixed 4x, and the car spontaneously brakes when I'm on the freeway. Not safe!!!!!!!!! The service department had completely quit responding to me, ignoring my requests to set up appointments, and would not return emails requesting service appt. so I pursued an atty and the lemon law. Once we arrived, the salesman not only confessed he had little to no experience on the make and model vehicle we were interested in, but gave us a run around for +2 hours (trying to confuse us with moving numbers around, amongst other scare tactics), but he and his manager didn't even deliver on the previous pricing agreed to over the phone. We could also see them playing basketball while we were mid discussion for about a 30min wait... When I said I was tired and wanted the night to think over the terms, the salesman asked us why we were even there, and suggested we should have walked out a while ago - so of course we did. Return customer for 3 years and I got treated like I was not as important . I bought a truck on my 2nd return to this dealer and I will not be going back . They ran my credit more then they needed too even when I asked them not to run my credit more than 1 time . They did not give me all the accessories I was charged for and was included in my contract. I have been calling for the past 2 weeks and still have not gotten a return call back as promised or my items I paid for as they promised to send them thru fedex. The reason I did not get all my items is because my sales rep Nathan was a rookie and left home before I can get my keys my mats for the car and also the manual. All he cared about is making sure the sale goes thru . I had already been there all day and when I'm about to leave they couldn't find my keys for my trade in so I can get my items out of my old car and the anti theft was still on the new car so I couldn't drive away and had to wait another 30 min for some one to help me . The person that was putting the plates on my car Andrew kept telling me that he has customers waiting and that by helping us was effecting his sale . I don't care about ur inconvenience all I care about is to leave . . So finally they unlocked my ani theft and I got to leave . To be fair, they were very responsive, but when it came time to do the deal there were a lot of red flags. When comparing to other offers, other Jeep dealers warned Russell Westbrook would alter the agreed deal and find ways to raise the price. Russell Westbrook sales were very eager to earn my business and offered a plethora of add-ons (leather, remote start) but could not close the deal at the end of the day. They went back on their word and raised the agreed upon monthly payment. I ended up getting another Jeep (already fully loaded) from Glen E. Thomas at Signal Hill and that process was way easier and much more honest and transparent. Going forward, I would never return to this dealer again. read more

I would definitely not recommend this place. Bought an Acura tlx from them. During the process, sales man Brian and his supervisor Rodrigo failed to disclose that the car had dents on the left front and left rear fenders. They tried to hide it and was hoping i wouldn't notice until it was too late. that to me is wrong. They later agreed to fix it but their body shop mechanic did a very poor job and Rodrigo said they couldn't do anything else about it. My experience has been terrible. I went into the dealer on 5/1 to sell back my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and worked with Max from the finance department. He was semi helpful until he found out that the pay out on my vehicle was going to leave me almost breaking even. There was a fiasco with Eric the General manager and his appraisal guys and finally Eric pretended to be doing me a favor by honoring the appraised price I was quoted. We proceed with the transaction and the dealer has 14 calendar days to send in the payout to the lender. I check status with the lender 5/7 - nothing, status with the dealer 5/12 - where they apologize for the mix up and promise to overnight the payment, status again with the lender on 5/14- still nothing and then status again with Max who had no idea what was going on in 5/14. The lack of customer service, professionalism, training, follow-through and confidence in the staff and management at Van Nuys Chrysler is embarrassing. I loved my jeep for the time that I had it, but I would never do business with this location again. ------------------------------------------------------------ 5/15 Eric, The review above is more about my end to end experience at your location. Yes, you honored the appraised price after some negotiation but remember I encountered more issues around actually getting the staff at your location to send the payoff to the lender. The transaction was complete on 5/1 and it took over a week for your location to initiate the final payout with my lender resulting in your staff having to overnight the final payment. Yes, you made it right by overnighting the payment but the point that I am trying to communicate is that neither the buy back process and the closure of the payout process happened without incident. If I may suggest, if you don't have them already, more clearly defined procedures and training for your staff. It's what's best for your store and your customers. read more

Unhappy. Bought my 2013 Challenger R/T from this location when it was Dodge Superstore. Came back here because I received a letter in mail stating I can keep my payments and get a new vehicle. After coming in and showing this letter, I come to find out there is no "deal", it's just another sales gimmick to get people to run their credit. They did not stick to their word in the letter, they could not get me any vehicle. Very unhappy about this, I have never been late on any payment on my car. Also the sales rep was more focusing on other clients than he was with us. I was very irritated about this as well. I really hate to use superlatives when writing a review but the service I received at this dealership was the worst service I have ever received from an auto service center, period. First they tried (over the phone) to tell me that they didn't have the parts for the recall, but after I argued with them they "conveniently"realized that they did actually have the part needed to fix the brakes. I scheduled an appointment and when I got there there was no record of my appointment in the system so I had to wait until someone was available to help me. On the plus side they did finish the work that day (I needed an oil change too.) But when I came to pick the car up I was told to wait outside, which I did for about 20 minutes until one of the employees finally yelled "hey! you! it's over there!" I didn't even realize she was talking to me until she yelled it the 2nd or third time... What she was referring to was my car, which was just left sitting in the middle of the lot with all the windows down and the engine running. Of course they didn't wash it either, something that every other Dodge dealership I have been to has done, and on top of everything, now there is a weird glitch where when I use the auto-start feature, it turns the heater on... and the number one thing I used to use that feature for was to cool the car down on a hot day before getting in. I dare not take my car back to have them try to look at it, but I can assure you, it was not doing this before I took it there. Also last but not least they forgot to switch off the "Oil Service Due" message, so I had to look up on Youtube how to do it and did it myself. I would rather buy an entirely new car than go to Russell Westbrook Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Van Nuys again. read more

Ridiculous waste of my time. I had a headlight switch go out on my van. Looked it up and the part was included in a year-wide recall so I had to go to a dealer for warranty work instead of my local, reliable auto shop. They said they had time to get it in if I could get there right away. I dropped off the car before 9 am. She looked it up and said my car's VIN wasn't included on the recall so there would be a $150 fee to examine it and if it turned out to be malfunctioning that could be used toward the repair. I just wanted it done because I had a huge trip the next day. I asked her to call me with an estimate before proceeding on any work. By noon, no call. I called, got voicemail, left a message. By 1, no call, I left another voicemail. At 1:30 I called the main line and asked the receptionist if there had been a fire or earthquake in the service dept., because I was unable to get a live human on the line. She patched me through and I got a real person for one minute, who said she would check with my specialist and have her call me back "in 5 minutes". 2 pm, still no call back so I again had the main receptionist patch me through and I finally got to speak to the woman in charge of my vehicle. She said there was no problem with my switch and that they had a list of items that were wrong with my car if I wanted to go ahead and get them done there. Uh, no. I told her to print out the list and while they didn't charge me $150 for the diagnostic since there was nothing wrong (the failure is widely reported as intermittent as it begins) they kept my car all day long and did nothing but print out a list of over $2500 necessary repairs for the car. The customer service at this location is TERRIBLE, and that's an understatement. My sister came in looking for a specific Jeep Wrangler last weekend. We waited an hour only for the porter to bring out the WRONG JEEP. We waited another hour for them to take us to the correct one. She decided she wanted to purchase the vehicle, so we waited another hour for them to tell us that they were not willing to sell the car for the advertised price. Do we hear "bait and switch"?? A week passes and an online sales associate contacts her and let's her know that NOW they're willing to honor the advertised price. All of the specifics were discussed over the phone and we drove another 50 miles to this location, asked for the associate assisting her the day before over the phone, and via email/text, as instructed. None of the individuals on the floor knew how to assist us. WHAT?? After an hour, we were finally asked to get the car out of the lot. We were escorted by an EXTREMELY unprofessional porter. He was using profanities and berating someone he was on the phone with right in front of us. Not to mention, deliberately rolled down the window to call one of his coworkers a "f*ggot" while my sister and I were sitting in the back seat. Needless to say, we felt uncomfortable with this type of service. We've been sitting in the lobby for five hours only barely writing up the contracts. It should NOT take this long, especially not when we had all the specifics discussed prior to walking through the door. And can someone tell me WHY it took 2 hours for them to provide a receipt to show proof of the battery change?? I purchased a used car here a couple months ago and dealing with the finance department has been a huge issue. I had to return back to the store three different times because the paperwork was not done right. I am still to this day dealing with them because of a finance issue that's still has not been resolved by the dealership . For about 2 1/2 weeks now I've been calling and leaving messages and still no one has called me back .this has to be one of the worst experiences I have ever had dealing with a dealership. read more

We came to this dealership because my sister wanted to see if she could get a good deal on a lease. She didn't end up leasing a car but we saw a Volkswagen Tiguan for sale that we were interested in. We went back the next day and decided to buy the car. The sun visor was broken and we were assured by our salesman, Israel, that if we came back the next day, they would fix it for us and also give us the second key. Fixing the sun visor was also written on the due bill (this is a contract). The next day, I texted Israel about the second key and he told me there is no second key and said that he had told me there might be a second key, not that there is. Well, there were 3 of us there that day and we all heard him say that the second key is locked up in someone's office and that person was gone for the day. I asked when my mom can bring the car in for the sun visor to be fixed. He said "the visor we can fix just let us know what day and time is good for you. Thank you." I told him my mom will be there at 10:30 and he said she can ask for him. So my mom took the car in at 10:30. She had my 2 year old niece with her. Israel told my mom that the car is under warranty and she should take it to the Volkswagen dealer. So he turned my mom away and sent her to another dealer even though he told me at least 3 times that they would fix the visor. This is on the due bill and also in my texts with Israel. My brother called Israel and spoke to both Israel and his supervisor and they both argued that since the car is under warranty, she should take it to the VW dealer. No apology for inconveniencing my mom. No explanation why Israel told us to go there and made an appointment with us if he did not intend to fix the visor. No comprehension that they are violating a contract they made with us and being rude about it as well. The supervisor told my brother "why should we spend time and money fixing it if it's under warranty?" Well the answer to that is because you told us you would fix it and your customer was at your dealership at the time that your salesman was informed she would be to have her sun visor fixed. Also, the supervisor hung up on my brother. Turns out, it costs about $300 to order a new key and we still have not been able to get our visor fixed. I am disgusted at the lies and lack of customer service demonstrated by these two employees. It is appalling. They were great when we were buying the car but as soon as we bought the car, all bets were off. They have definitely lost our business and we were in the market for 3 more cars- one for me, one for my sister and one for my older sister. BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. read more

I initially went to a different dealership in Alhambra, and they weren't able to make a deal that worked for me. I was on my way home and decided to stop at Russell Westbrook CDJR because it was on the way, and why not. When I got there I was originally greeted by a sales guy who seemed to be pretty convinced he couldn't give me a deal either. He then handed me off to John Morovitz. John was excellent, he's kind, funny and not sales-y, which I very much appreciated. We went and looked at a few of the 2018's they had in stock, we found one that had everything I wanted (minus the soft top - which was definitely not a dealbreaker) and took it for a test drive. We then went inside to figure out the financials. We agreed upon what was a better deal than I likely would have gotten anywhere else, even over Memorial Day weekend. He then took me to meet with Kevin Valenzuela, one of the finance managers, to do all of the paperwork. Kevin was equally great, funny and wanted to give me a good deal. I've never walked out of a car dealership feeling this great! I was well taken care of and got the car of my dreams!
