Oh man, where to begin. Make sure you read all reviews, including hidden ones, as there are SO MANY NEGATIVE REVIEWS. The Service Dept earns a 0, and that's being generous. Sales, I would give a 2. Now, my experience. I leased a 2014 Jeep Overland at $55k. SERVICE My Service experience (advisor Terry, manager Carl) was horrific, and this result is taken from three visits, so it's not a fluke. It's fact. The last one was the icing on the cake. I brought my Jeep in for yet another recall, and they TORE UP MY BUMPER. Yes, what should have been a 5-hour job ended up as a a full week. OK, accidents happen. They don't do their own body work. Some hack shop down the street does it, and the work was HORRIFIC, with pieces missing! I followed up NUMEROUS TIMES with the service manager Carl, with no response. I simply wanted the work done right and the pieces replaced. RECALLS The visit before was of course for other recalls. They fixed one and failed to fix the other two, telling me I had to come back the next week. I of course didn't hear from them. When I called the week after, they said they had sent the parts back to HQ because they can only hold onto them for a week, so nothing could get fixed. It's incompetence and it's ridiculous. SALES The Sales experience was just typical used car sales BS. They promised me a deal before I came in, and of course when I came in they added a $5000 down payment and an extra 20% on the monthly payment, even though my credit was impeccable. Of course, we laughed and left, and a half dozen peddlers called me that night begging me to lease the car. Terrible. We agreed to a new deal, so when I came to pick the Jeep up, they of course tacked an extra $10/month. 'I'm losing money here!' Ha. Whatever, just get me out of here. read more

I leased a new Jeep from these guys in December. My salesperson failed to show me a bunch of features on the car. I came back to the dealership a bit frustrated but Roger La Prairie saved the day! Even though he was not my original salesperson, he took the time out of his day to go over every detail that I was not initially made privy to. When we came up against a question he could not answer, he took the initiative to jump on the phone with corporate and get all the details straightened out. My advice? Okay, me and my girlfriend went over this experience over brunch and decided it was worth a review. FIRST BAD REVIEW HERE I COMEEE!! Firstly, it's hard to say who's at fault, but I can only paint the picture of my experience. Our salesman; nice man, charming accent, you can tell he works hard for the moneyy! Negotiated like a sweetheart. This review isn't about him. He did what he had to do to to make us happy. He was nice. We appreciate it. So we go into Shawshank, the vortex punishment room to talk about warranty and whatever the heck. To back track a little, we were already there TWO HOURS. Two hours AFTER we agreed to the deal... you'd think they'd jump for joy and let us go! So we go into the warranty office and the guy looks like a boy scout with a serial killer agenda. Creepy in a playful, overly strained, murderous way. First thing we say is we've been waiting for 2 hours. He doesn't say anything. Why did it take so long? No answer. We ask is who runs this place? Who runs this place? Can we talk to him? He finally looks over and says "He won't be here much longer" and goes back to his work. We look at each other befuddled. No apology?? IS NO ONE ACCOUNTABLE?? He proceeds to down talk us like we're sixth graders and demands we buy more things. We are idiots for not buying them. Disgusting. How dare you? Belittling customers? Because we're girls? I have been trying very hard to stay away from writing a review. At some point you need to say enough is enough. I know some reviews can be unfair and don't tell the whole story which can lead to false criticisms. My first experience with this dealership came two years ago when I purchased a used 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. I had zero expectations since I had never dealt with them before. After some time, I went home in my "new jeep" what a great car and the staff made the experience a real pleasure. Two years into the future how things have changed. My 2014 Jeep is doing good my wife is driving it and she loves the car. It being her first car she couldn't be happier. She's seeing wear and tear on the car, we need new tires, the check engine light is on. So, we made the choice of going back to the dealership knowing how things went for us two years earlier, we felt confident that we would be taken care of as returning customers. As soon as we started looking at vehicle Rene approached us and very politely asked if we need assistance. He was not pushy and respected our place to look at vehicle always a step or two begin. Finally, after some time of viewing some jeeps, we were ready for him to start taking us on test drives. He took us to an off-site lot which had many more cars to choose from. My wife saw what she wanted a new 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Rene mentioned to us that the car had just been delivered but that if we wanted, we could take it on a test drive. We elected not to and moved on to other Jeep. But none of the other once that Rene showed us my wife liked. so we elected the first one she liked the new 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited . Two hours later Rene and Rodrigo the Sales Manager are looking for the keys, why because some other salesperson had hide them away in their drawer. We completed the paperwork closed the deal took a family picture with our Brand-New Jeep at 8:30 pm we arrived at 2:30 pm five hours of which two where dedicated to finding the keys to the car. Being a dark color car and being night it's very difficult to see issues, being a brand-new car, you also don't expect issues, but that's exactly what we had; ISSUES. The next morning my wife mentioned to me that the driver door doesn't close as smoothly as our previous 2014 jeep. I go and see, and yes, the door was not closing as it should. Then I notice paint imperfections on the hood nothing major but you would notexpected to see on a new car. To be fair the car is black and there is no way that the detailing and car wash guy could pick up on that. I am being very fair it was dark. My wife and I took the car back to Russell Westbrook Van Nuys to speak to Rene. We showed him the issues with the paint and the other problems we had. The door not closing correctly and the driver side seat belt not functioning correctly as well. It did not retrack as needed. Rene told to bring the car in tomorrow (meaning Monday) so that service can work on it. What could go wrong Just to put things in a timeline to better understand my frustration and reasoning to the rating We purchased the jeep on 05/04/2019 a Saturday, took it back on Sunday, asked to return on Monday 05/06/2019. That was the last time I saw my Brand-New Jeep unit 05/15/2019 twelve days later. Why because the car came with a faulty seat belt and the entire unit had to be replace. Now Hector from service tell me we will cover the cost of a rental vehicle. Now my card has been charged 454 I called enterprise and they tell me that's because I elected to have insurance. What the fuck. I have made several attempts to get a hold of this people and nothing and a single call back. 454 is almost half my lease payment. Because Travis was not in until 11am (they open at 9am) I had to work with "SILVA GUEMIKSIZIAN" finance manager. I had THE WORSE EXPERIENCE dealing with the Finance woman "SILVA GUEMIKSIZIAN". Very rude and disrespectful. I waited 15 minutes later to report her to her manager. ****FINALLY: They didn't fill my gas tank up at pick up. All in all. I had bought a car there that I've owned for 8 months now... in that time the navigation/radio computer needed replaced 2x, the heater needed fixed 4x, and the car spontaneously brakes when I'm on the freeway. Not safe!!!!!!!!! The service department had completely quit responding to me, ignoring my requests to set up appointments, and would not return emails requesting service appt. so I pursued an atty and the lemon law. THE WORST SERVICE DEPT EVER! I never write reviews, so this is BAD that it's come to this. I bought my certified pre owned Jeep here in April and have had nothing but awful awful service every single time since. The day I bought it, I asked them to put my old Jeep's soft top on the new one, which they finally agreed to do after much pushback. They broke the back window zipper and left me with no inserts to put the window into, so my back window is permanently zipped and loosely hanging for anyone to reach in and grab from my trunk. Secondly, they left the kill switch in my Jeep when I bought it. Went to take the doors off for the summer and noticed the kill switch wiring all still attached. Called the service dept and notified my salesman, Andrew. The service dept told me I would need to pay for it to be removed!!! Ummmm WHAT?! No???? Why would I pay to have the DEALERSHIP'S KILLSWITCH taken out of MY Jeep??? Thankfully my salesman finally got through to them and it was removed free of charge. Strike one. Then, TWO weeks after buying the jeep, my battery died. I emailed my salesman and he asked me if I had left lights on by accident etc etc. I did not, and asked if I could bring it in as it's very upsetting to have your newly purchases car's battery die, especially 1 day before a road trip. Went to the dealership, they were closed due to protests. So we had to have the car jumped and drove all the way to AZ without turning it off, had it serviced at a Jeep dealer in AZ. I provided Andrew with the receipt for reimbursement and spoke w/ multiple service reps- never got reimbursed for the $200 battery. Strike two. Today, I went to my scheduled service appt for an oil change and routine maintenance. Vahe, my service rep today, told me the oil change/ tire rotation alone would be $120 and in total for routine maintenance, it would be $720. I told him I paid for an extended warranty, which he conveniently forgot to look for, and he corrected himself to the oil change being 1 of 8 free ones, and maintenance would come down to $620- still ridiculously expensive for some brake fluid. I told him just do the free oil change and that will be it today. One hour of waiting later, I asked him how much longer, he said maybe 30-40min. Well....TWO HOURS LATER, I was still there and waiting and LIVID. I asked him why an oil change is taking two hours, he replied "they usually take four hours so..." And I told him "every time I come here it's a nightmare, I'm going to bring it elsewhere for servicing from here on out." He could care less. When my car was finally ready, he handed me the paperwork and said "your car's done, it's in the lot there." Never apologized, never had even an OUNCE of sympathy when I told him I need to work night shift tonight, NOTHING. I am livid. This is the worst service experience I have ever had. And as a woman, I also felt they completely dismissed me and treated any male customer much more graciously. I saw a male customer who was also very upset w the service dept and he got everything handled immediately. I tried calling to speak to the GM three times, not one answer on the phone. So I would give 0 stars if I could. This place is a terrible dealership, terrible service center, and a literal nightmare. Do not buy or bring your car here. read more

I've been through 4 Jeep dealerships in the Los Ángeles county and none were ever able to find me what I need and work with my circumstances nor honestly wanted to but, Russell Westbrook definitely did. My husband and I were in and out of there in under 3 hours! Since this is an honest review the only issue we had was with Alan the finance guy, didn't seem genuine and was a little harder to work with. Mind you my credit score isn't bad , but I currently am a cosignee of another vehicle which $3k is owed they offered me $889 with taking the other car as a trade in which is ridiculous, so I tried to do it without the trade in . My experience has been terrible. I went into the dealer on 5/1 to sell back my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and worked with Max from the finance department. He was semi helpful until he found out that the pay out on my vehicle was going to leave me almost breaking even. There was a fiasco with Eric the General manager and his appraisal guys and finally Eric pretended to be doing me a favor by honoring the appraised price I was quoted. We proceed with the transaction and the dealer has 14 calendar days to send in the payout to the lender. I check status with the lender 5/7 - nothing, status with the dealer 5/12 - where they apologize for the mix up and promise to overnight the payment, status again with the lender on 5/14- still nothing and then status again with Max who had no idea what was going on in 5/14. The lack of customer service, professionalism, training, follow-through and confidence in the staff and management at Van Nuys Chrysler is embarrassing. I loved my jeep for the time that I had it, but I would never do business with this location again. ------------------------------------------------------------ 5/15 Eric, The review above is more about my end to end experience at your location. Yes, you honored the appraised price after some negotiation but remember I encountered more issues around actually getting the staff at your location to send the payoff to the lender. The transaction was complete on 5/1 and it took over a week for your location to initiate the final payout with my lender resulting in your staff having to overnight the final payment. Yes, you made it right by overnighting the payment but the point that I am trying to communicate is that neither the buy back process and the closure of the payout process happened without incident. If I may suggest, if you don't have them already, more clearly defined procedures and training for your staff. It's what's best for your store and your customers. read more

The last time I came in to have my oil changed and tires rotated, Westbrook failed to tighten the lug nuts on my right front tire. As soon as I pulled off of the lot, the tire wobbled and the steering wheel wobbled and there was a loud thumping noise. I immediately returned to have it fixed and that's when I discovered the loose lug nuts. No apologies, nothing. Today I can in for service and I watched the technician on my dash camera while he did the work. I came in when he was finished and they brought me a key to a Jeep Cherokee. I drive a Ram 1500. Of course the key didn't work. NOW, they can't find MY key. I'm stuck because I bought a service plan when I bought my new truck from Westbrook. Now they say they'll cit me another key but my original key is floating around somewhere at Westbrook. I give Westbrook service department one star because I can't give them zero stars. read more

Came to check out their Jeep Grand Cherokees with my wife. A salesman that couldn't have been older than 18 came to assist. The kid took us to the used then the new car lot. The new lot was almost 15 minutes away which was totally awkward since he didn't give us any warning. The kid was new and couldn't give us any info on the vehicles or features. The prices had a bunch of pre-installed unwanted and overpriced dealer add-ons like nitrogen filled tires and anti-theft bologna wich we had no interest in that add about 3k to the price on most of the cars we saw. They wouldn't give us the final asking price on a car unless we, "came inside" the dealership and then said they give better prices in person as opposed to the telephone because they know we are "serious" if we're are actually there. I really hate to use superlatives when writing a review but the service I received at this dealership was the worst service I have ever received from an auto service center, period. First they tried (over the phone) to tell me that they didn't have the parts for the recall, but after I argued with them they "conveniently"realized that they did actually have the part needed to fix the brakes. I scheduled an appointment and when I got there there was no record of my appointment in the system so I had to wait until someone was available to help me. On the plus side they did finish the work that day (I needed an oil change too.) But when I came to pick the car up I was told to wait outside, which I did for about 20 minutes until one of the employees finally yelled "hey! you! it's over there!" I didn't even realize she was talking to me until she yelled it the 2nd or third time... What she was referring to was my car, which was just left sitting in the middle of the lot with all the windows down and the engine running. Of course they didn't wash it either, something that every other Dodge dealership I have been to has done, and on top of everything, now there is a weird glitch where when I use the auto-start feature, it turns the heater on... and the number one thing I used to use that feature for was to cool the car down on a hot day before getting in. I dare not take my car back to have them try to look at it, but I can assure you, it was not doing this before I took it there. Also last but not least they forgot to switch off the "Oil Service Due" message, so I had to look up on Youtube how to do it and did it myself. I would rather buy an entirely new car than go to Russell Westbrook Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Van Nuys again. read more

Ridiculous waste of my time. I had a headlight switch go out on my van. Looked it up and the part was included in a year-wide recall so I had to go to a dealer for warranty work instead of my local, reliable auto shop. They said they had time to get it in if I could get there right away. I dropped off the car before 9 am. She looked it up and said my car's VIN wasn't included on the recall so there would be a $150 fee to examine it and if it turned out to be malfunctioning that could be used toward the repair. I just wanted it done because I had a huge trip the next day. I asked her to call me with an estimate before proceeding on any work. By noon, no call. I called, got voicemail, left a message. By 1, no call, I left another voicemail. At 1:30 I called the main line and asked the receptionist if there had been a fire or earthquake in the service dept., because I was unable to get a live human on the line. She patched me through and I got a real person for one minute, who said she would check with my specialist and have her call me back "in 5 minutes". 2 pm, still no call back so I again had the main receptionist patch me through and I finally got to speak to the woman in charge of my vehicle. She said there was no problem with my switch and that they had a list of items that were wrong with my car if I wanted to go ahead and get them done there. Uh, no. I told her to print out the list and while they didn't charge me $150 for the diagnostic since there was nothing wrong (the failure is widely reported as intermittent as it begins) they kept my car all day long and did nothing but print out a list of over $2500 necessary repairs for the car. This dealership service department 'is incompetent at best. I took my truck in which is still under warranty for dead battery. After holding on to my truck for 2 days they advised me it wasn't my battery and that my radio need to be updated. Two days later I got stuck at work again with a dead battery. So I decided to have autozone check my battery, and sure enough the battery was bad... I also isolated the battery and check it and again it was low voltage. So I called the service department and they were extremely rude and condescending. I explained to them that I need my car for work and I can't keep getting stuck. The advisor told " let's remember you need us we don't need you" how unprofessional after spending $62,000 on a car..I'm surprised an autozone technician was able to figure it out but a dealership service department couldn't. Glendale Dodge diagnosed and fixed the problem in 6 hours from now on I'll be going there. read more

The cars are listed 5-10k less online to reel you into the dealership. Fine. Was still interested in purchasing two vehicles until I met the sales manager. As i started to negotiate he became very irritated and very sarcastic. Never in my life have I experienced this at a dealership. He needs to be demoted or fired. Went to go check out the new Grand Cherokees. Was received promptly by a young man, but wasn't Sure if they had one on the lot. Asked another guy if they did. He wasn't Sure. They told me all their cars were on a dirt lot about 4 miles away and that we can take the shuttle there. We took a pass. Was approached by a 4th salesman trying to get us to take the shuttle and I declined. Honestly I was expecting for The lot to have at least one new Grand Cherokee available to see. We came to this dealership because my sister wanted to see if she could get a good deal on a lease. She didn't end up leasing a car but we saw a Volkswagen Tiguan for sale that we were interested in. We went back the next day and decided to buy the car. The sun visor was broken and we were assured by our salesman, Israel, that if we came back the next day, they would fix it for us and also give us the second key. Fixing the sun visor was also written on the due bill (this is a contract). The next day, I texted Israel about the second key and he told me there is no second key and said that he had told me there might be a second key, not that there is. Well, there were 3 of us there that day and we all heard him say that the second key is locked up in someone's office and that person was gone for the day. I asked when my mom can bring the car in for the sun visor to be fixed. He said "the visor we can fix just let us know what day and time is good for you. Thank you." I told him my mom will be there at 10:30 and he said she can ask for him. So my mom took the car in at 10:30. She had my 2 year old niece with her. Israel told my mom that the car is under warranty and she should take it to the Volkswagen dealer. So he turned my mom away and sent her to another dealer even though he told me at least 3 times that they would fix the visor. This is on the due bill and also in my texts with Israel. My brother called Israel and spoke to both Israel and his supervisor and they both argued that since the car is under warranty, she should take it to the VW dealer. No apology for inconveniencing my mom. No explanation why Israel told us to go there and made an appointment with us if he did not intend to fix the visor. No comprehension that they are violating a contract they made with us and being rude about it as well. The supervisor told my brother "why should we spend time and money fixing it if it's under warranty?" Well the answer to that is because you told us you would fix it and your customer was at your dealership at the time that your salesman was informed she would be to have her sun visor fixed. Also, the supervisor hung up on my brother. Turns out, it costs about $300 to order a new key and we still have not been able to get our visor fixed. I am disgusted at the lies and lack of customer service demonstrated by these two employees. It is appalling. I have had a satisfactory experience with this dealership overall, but the 3 stars tell alot about customer service. Trying to get help via phone is ridiculous. It seems that if they don't want to be bothered, the hang up on you or transfer you to someone's voicemail.... and it's not the person you e requested. It is unfortunate for them to treat customers spending thousands of dollars like that. Went to check them out, really considering a new car, from the beginning I told them I just want to see numbers, the salesman/woman really nice , but I guess the one that actually makes the deals, he came out and said that if I didn't pick a car they would send the salesman home, I told them from the beginning, just show me numbers, our policy is that you have to pick a car or the salesman goes home, if that is their policy? Then you lost a customer. All the people I talked to was pretty cool, but that guy, I did not get his name, he just pissed me off the way he said it. I had a wonderful experience with Matthew Hagen! He went above and beyond to help me with a warranty issue. I've already taken my car to two other dealerships, and Matthew was more help over the phone than the other two dealership service departments combined. He actually put me in touch with the warranty department and they are working on resolving my problem. Overall I had a very good experience at this dealership. I had originally went in to just walk around and look at the different color options in person and the red on red was catching my eye. I walked in and Patrick greeted me immediately and asked how he can help. I asked him what the best deals were for the car. He came back pretty quickly with some prices which were better than another dealer that had given me. That got me excited, so he asked if I would like to test drive it. He introduced me to Cesar. Cesar was very nice and professional himself. He walked me to the car right away and gave me a walk around before I test drove it. I drove it and it was a good feeling. I came back and told them both that I need a few days to make my decision. They both understood and were very nice and weren't trying to just sell me a car by being pushy. They followed up with me a few times and answered all of my questions that I had regarding the car until I finally made a decision to buy it. I scheduled an appointment and went in. Did the application and got approved within minutes and was already waiting for paperwork and for my new car to be washed. I left and was very happy with my experience. read more

I wish you could give ZERO STARS ok here we go my brother took his 2015 challenger srt/8 and after paying almost $4k for the cradle to be replaced they try to charge him another $1,500 for a rental!! Even tho there rental is extremely over priced the Manager and service manager insisted that we pay the rental or we do not get our car! Now here is where it gets real fucked up after we had already seen the paper work and it didn't say anything about charging for any rental we refused to pay so after arguing with both managers for over an hour they get the idea to just write it in!! And have the Audacity To show it to US!! We were blown away So we called the police because it is illegal to write in something on an already existing contract needless to say we were completely blown away I know that this sounds nuts but when we tried to get the paper back when the cops showed up they had said they couldn't find it! This is the shadiest dealership around and I'm so glad I got video of both managers that were involved I really hope that Dodge does something about this enjoy the video read more
