From the beginning we let him know we were looking around for pricing and deals and not specifically buying just yet. He let us test drive the car and when we came back had the paperwork ready like if we were going to buy. When asking him questions about the pricing on the car he seemed irritated demanding he was giving us the best deal possible which he wasn't as I had already looked online and at other dealers. he asked if we were going to buy the car and we told him we are going to keep looking as we just wanted info and he immediately got up from the cubicle and left without any word. He must have been upset that we didn't buy right then and there but him walking out and leaving without a word is unprofessional. Did not feel welcome at all by him. I recently leased a vehicle from Russell Westbrook in December. While the sales person Willy was amazing and did everything to complete the deal and make sure I was happy. Finance on the other hand at that location is garbage. I work at a dealership myself and work in the Finance department so I know the process myself and how important it is to get documents and deals funded especially when a trade is involved much higher priority because of payoff deadlines. I go above for my customers as they are priority. I traded a vehicle and it has been way over a month and it still has not been paid off. It is now going on the 30th day which means it'll ding my credit. I have called over many times to try and get a response from someone and they have not given me an answer. They seem to brush it off of course since they completed a sale I am no longer a priority. I would never go back this location to purchase or lease a vehicle and would not recommend anyone there. I am disgusted by their unprofessionalism when it comes to getting financial documents completed in a timely manner, coming from someone that works in the industry and understands the lingo. read more

I came here because their pricing was lower than average compared to other dealerships. Josh was able to help me pick out the car I wanted and their sales team worked out a deal for me that fit right in my budget. Their sales department is amazing and I have no complaints. However, the service department can be a different story. About a month or so after getting my car, I had an issue with the AC. I took it in and they kept it for a week. I took it in on a Sunday and Oscar was assigned as my advisor. Oscar said he would call me on Tuesday and give me an update. He did not call. Wednesday afternoon came around and I called, they said he was unavailable. Thursday afternoon came and I called again, they said he was working on my car and he would call once he got back to his desk. I did not get a call. I called again Friday and they said he was on lunch and would call when he got back. He did not call. I went Saturday morning in person to see what was going on and luckily Oscar was there. I told him I had been calling but had heard nothing back. He said my car was ready the day before, he just forgot to call me. I didn't get any update from him at any point until I went in person. After that incident, I met Alan and began to schedule my services with him. Alan is super helpful and is always in a good mood. He explains everything well and makes sure you understand what's going on. He's one of the best ones in that service department. Be aware, the service department takes a long time for even basic things like routine maintenance. You'll be waiting for 2-3 hours on a weekend for just an oil change. read more

I stopped by here on two different occasions and spoke to different people. Both times were laughable in their ability to contradict themselves in under five minutes. We had discussed ordering a Jeep and I said I'm not ready to sign anything right now. After deflecting the salesman's, and later the manager's, hard sales techniques like Neo in The Matrix, the last thing they said to me, after I again said I don't want to sign anything today, was "so you just want to wait longer for your Jeep?"... I said "yeah, I do". Then the manager followed me out the door, and the next thing I know he's talking to a different salesman right behind my car (so I can't back out yet can hear them) saying "that guy was a douchebag!". Is it possible he was talking about someone else, sure. When I first leased the car Artur was great he was a ton of help and it was a pleasant expierence he no longer works there, what was a lease became a purchase and I didnt even argue or made the price a hassle I simply got the papers signed and made everything a easy process for them I paid over 7k and they didnt even take that in consideration. Moreover when I went to sign all the docs I figured it would take no more then a month to receive the registration and paperwork not only did they run my credit way to many times that it did alot of damage but they also have tooken over 2 months to give that to me and I been messaging and calling them and I assume they think Its ok . Worst experience ever. 2nd time I came to this dealership to look for a Charger. My first time was about a month ago and after waiting for a few hours, they told me the car I was looking for had been sold but it had not been updated on their system. Today, I decided to go back and give them another chance. The salesman took us to 3 different lots to find this charger. 2 hours later, it was time to talk about #s. He was adamant about running my credit. I told him before running it, I wanted to know how much was I looking at with the type of credit that I know I have. He assured me I would get a great deal. After he ran my credit and confirmed I did have excellent credit history, he gave me bs that he thought I wanted a cheaper car therefore I had to pay more than what we had agreed on. Man the amount of stress I've gone through with the "managers" here. I was recently sold a brand new 2021 grand cherokee L overland and it's a lemon. Within 2 months its been in and out of the dealership 3 times due to it not starting. Every time it's taken to the dealership they "fix" it and say I should have absolutely no problems. They claim to want to help me and when I went and spent 4 hours there I left with no solution and them saying "well at least your car is fixed". Well guess what? The car is once again at the dealership for the SAME problem. At this point I started the lemon law process which is time consuming. When it gets taken to the dealership the roadside costs me $160 which I have to pay out of pocket but they insisted they would reimburse me. It's been 3 weeks being promised a check that they sent via "mail" just to find out they never sent it. They want ME to drive 1 hour to the dealership to pick it up. Here I am ready to drive to the dealership when Selena the manager tells me nobody once again is there to sign me a check because they have left. Absolutely no communication was given to me and I waited 3 days after my car stopped turning on to even send it to the dealership because nobody was ever there to sign a check. Why couldn't they sign the check and leave it with a manager on duty so I could pick it up on my time instead of theirs? I have NO idea. I was previously talking to Summer before she stopped working there and although there was no solution at least she had good customer service. Selena on the other hand has horrible customer service. I just got off the phone with her expressing my frustration on why again there is still no check after 3 weeks and 3 days of being told nobody is there to sign me a check and she cut me off, talked back, and tried making me feel stupid for not knowing that they could only cut you a check from 8AM to 5PM. Nobody once told me that. I work and can't just go any time of the day. She made everything absolutely horrible and worse, she literally through gasoline on fire. I am absolutely done speaking to their unprofessional managers here and at this point have to involve an attorney since they don't want to take me serious. I've been so kind and understanding and said "well hey things happen" because I work in customer service myself and these are the consequences, they take you as a joke. Waste of time and went back on an agreed upon deal. I was ready to buy a car that day. I called knowing exactly which car I wanted. Right away the sales rep Marlin was giving me the run around. He said someone was already buying that car but offered more expensive alternatives. I said thanks anyway but i was set on the initial car I called about. After about 2 hours of phone calls back and fourth saying someone was going to buy the car Marlin and I reached a deal on the initial car because you guessed it someone else didn't end up buying the car. He gave me his word that the agreed on price was what I would be paying for the car plus tax and fees of course. I sent him my info to get the paper work process started. And then the games began once more. His supervisor called and said that even though Marlin promised us that price they couldn't sell it to us for that price. 2 hours of Marlin discussing prices with his manager back and fourth only for him to end up going back on his word. I hate it when people waste my time. This dealership sent me an email giving me a lease option, so I walk in and I show them what they emailed me. The car from the email was a demo that was sold already but they told me that they can get me the same car but not the same deal. I told them if it's not going to work do not run my credit; however; they insisted it's going to be fine. We signed all the paperwork and they told me my car is going to be ready the next day but it's been over a week and I still don't have my car. I went to the dealership yesterday and they don't even have copies of the signed deal. Worst dealer experience and a complete waste of time. After doing lots of research online for trucks I reached out to this dealer to see if they could match or come close to prices that are being offered by dealers like Dennis Dillon or Dave Smith in Idaho. I wanted to see if I could find a truck at a reasonable price in Southern California before I made the trip to Idaho. I saw trucks that I liked at Russell Westbrook and I called and texted a sales rep by the name of Jose who told me to be weary of out of state dealers and that they would be able to give me a good price but that I had to come into the dealer because they didn't feel comfortable discussing prices over the phone because their prices were so good. I sent Jose pictures of the prices that we're being offered by Dennis Dillon which were around 9-10K off MSRP on 3500 Big Horns. Jose still said that they could make me a deal so I made the hour and a half drive down to Van Nuys. Once there I saw the trucks that I liked and told Jose that I wanted to discuss prices and that I was willing to buy a truck that day. The truck that I liked had an MSRP of $72,000 with an online posted price of about $70,700 which is not much of a discount at all. As we were discussing prices Jose gave me the typical sales man run around of what I wanted my monthly payment to be and how many months I wanted to finance for, blah, blah, blah. Never did he attempt to bring down the sales price to anywhere near 10K off MSRP. He then brought in the manager by the name of Mekki. Mekki was very unprofessional and rude and instead of working on the price he tried to make the conversation about sales tax and registration and try to make it seem like the out of state dealers had low prices because of the sales tax and registration. Either Mekki dose not understand how sales tax and registration wok or this is a tactic used by used car sales men to try and scare you. Luckily for me I work with numbers and I am very well versed in understanding how sales tax, registration and financing works. Mekki then tried to offer me an AMAZING DISCOUNT of $700.00 and bring down the total price to $70,000 before extras. The extras were about $2,500 for some kind of alarm and theft insurance bringing the total price back up to about $72,500. Keep in mind I drove all the way down there thinking that I could get a truck for somewhere around 6-8K off MSRP. After Mekki stated that that was the best they could do I walked out very disappointed that I had wasted my entire afternoon and gas. If you are looking for a new car or truck do yourself a favor and stay away from this dealer. 2.5% off MSRP plus $2,500 in extras is not a good deal at all. I can understand if that is truly the best they could do but this should have been made clear in the first place when I was showing them trucks with 10K off MSRP. If you are ever buying a new car or truck please don't ever feel pressured to buy any extras, they are a complete waste of money. You can also get extended warranties from the manufacturer themselves online for much better prices as well as GAP insurance. This is the absolute WORST human being I have ever encountered in my life. As I walked in to the Russel Westbrook Dealership in Van Nuys to get my car serviced (my 2-year old car that's still under lease died for no apparent reason), I couldn't help but stand there shook and distraught at the store's general manager, Vikas Mehandroo's ruthless and inappropriate behavior towards a CLIENT who came to have his car serviced. Mehandroo SCREAMED at the customer in front of everyone at the dealership, got in his face, definitely violating the six feet social distancing measures ordered by the state of California, and almost got physical with the client and ultimately kicked him out of the dealership. Being a victim of poor customer service myself, I whispered quietly "that's great customer service" only to be aggressively and abruptly approached by Mehandroo himself, who YELLED at me like I have never been yelled at before, from a distance of less than six feet apart. Mehandroo then assured me that I will not get my car serviced there and made sure to tell everyone in there not to help me. I was humiliated, assaulted, degraded, simply for making an innocent comment saying "that's great customer service". read more

This place is an absolute joke. I've purchased many cars over the years. This place takes the cake and not in a good way. My daughter found a used Jeep Compass she liked so I went with her as this was the first car she was buying on her own. The advertised price online is NOT the price once you sit down and start doing numbers. We had $4,000 in "extras" on top of a "Service Agreement" fee that is on the bottom right of another $4,000. Yes, you read that right... $8,000 extra dollars than the advertised price online. They are great at drawing your attention to the 'Monthly payment" so as to distract you from the TOTAL loan price. The noise level in there is crazy with TV's everywhere and lots of things to look at, just all a distraction... don't fall for it. We finally agree on a deal and into the finance manager's office we go. This is when it REALLY goes south. This is when I notice the extra $4000 for gap insurance and an extended warranty. We put $6,000 down so we definitely didn't need gap insurance. Finance Manager Jerson Gonzalez says I can cancel it and get a $4,000 refund. It's all "very easy" as he holds up a piece of paper. This was in lieu of having the contract re-done. Worst mistake I made was not INSISTING that the contract be re-done. I will NEVER fall for this trick again. I cancel the gap insurance and warranty package the FOLLOWING DAY and the $4,000 STILL hasn't been credited to the loan. Calling there is like calling into the abyss. You're transferred to voicemail after voicemail and leaving a message is pointless. I've left a few and never received a phone call back. I even resorted to emailing ALL of the finance managers I could find online a couple weeks ago.... I didn't want to resort to leaving a bad review but they don't care whatsoever. Here we are two weeks later and not a peep from ANYONE via email or phone call. It's literally been almost four months of texts and phone calls. Just send the check to the loan company, it's really not this difficult, especially when it was cancelled less than 24 hours later. Not sure if they think people get tired of calling and hopefully FORGET about the money? That isn't going to happen in this case, I can assure you. I will continue doing whatever it takes to get this resolved and the money credited. This is ridiculous and a total sham. Worst car buying experience ever. I never imagined all the stuff I have to go through to get some help. I finally get through and one person was able me and found my contract in the storage smh. I have 2018 Dodge Challenger and I know I said yes to gap insurance and to come out that they ripped me off by saying no you didn't . Who in hell will buy sports car with no Gap insurance? Will not be bringing my Jeep back again. I brought my jeep in October 2020 because my tire was making a noise. The tires looked kind of strange. They were curved in and out. They said that is how the tires wear out. I never saw tires wear out like that. They said to bring it back on Sunday and leave it until Monday. I did. On Monday they called me and said that I needed 3 new tires. I said the Jeep only had 38000 miles. they said it did not matter and there was no warranty on my tires. I said ok change it. They said they will have them on Tuesday. On Tuesday I attempted to call the supervisor of service. The operator transferred me. I left him a message to call me back I wanted to find out why there is no warranty on my tires. He never bothered to call me back. I tried to call the service guy several times and left messages but he did not call me back either until the car was ready. I had to rent a car and guy said he would only cover $30. I rented a car and of course it was a lot more. He said he would credit $30 but saw nothing on the receipt showing a credit. They sent an uber for me at least from the car rental place to the dealership and I got there another service guy was helping me since my service guy had left. He said there is no warranty on my new tires and they usually last only until 25000 miles. These tires are $1200 what kind of tires last only that. He looked at the tires and said Oh these are BF Goodwich they would probably last longer. I also had put in Nitrogen in the tires from the same dealership a few months ago. They charged me over $100 for this. I asked if they put in Nitrogen in the tires. They said no. I told the guy when I brought in the Jeep that the tires had Nitrogen in it. They said the machine does not work and they do not do that anymore. Funny how they changed it originally when I was paying for it. I saw Costco had better tires with a warranty for a cheaper price installed. Next time I will go there. Customer service is really bad at this place. read more

PLZ READ IF YOU ARE THINKING OF COMING HERE. My Jeep wranglers had to much oil put into the car so I took it here. They told me that my Catalytic Converter, manifold and exhaust pipe needed to be replaced and that it was going to cost loads of money. I didn't think it could be that bad and so They sent me the estimate and it's said 16,000 dollars. I almost started crying thinking what have I done (I couldn't even will my self outside). I had a weird feeling that it couldn't possibly cost that much and I took it to Burbank Motor works. They call me less then a day later with an estimate of 3,800 dollars ... and that was INCLUDING 4 brand new tires. Bottom line these people are scum of the earth and shouldn't even be in business. The worst experience I have ever had at a dealership!!! I called to inquire on a Challenger and spoke to the internet sales person named Ozzy and we spoke for a few days discussing a deal. After 2 days of talking we agreed on a deal over the phone and told me to go in Saturday night just to sign the paper work and take the car....... My wife and I walk in and ozzy comes and greets us tells us to wait a few min... those mins took an hour and he sent his finance manager to tell me that they were extremely backed up and they couldn't get to my contract for another 3hr....... if the deal was set it's only a matter of printing the contract and signing it, I've bought other cars before. So this guy tells us that I have 2 options to go back in the morning and they would have an open slot or they can deliver the car and sign paperwork at our home... I agreed on going in Sunday but he refused to give me a time and he would call me around 8-8:30 that evening to set up the time.. I told him why can't he give 9am and be the first and he just refused to give me a time. So it was 9:45 and no call.. I then waited till 12:30 Sunday after noon to txt ozzy and no answer then I get a call from another guy saying the couldn't secure the car till Monday cuz apparently they did not have it in stock. So this new guy was telling me to wait till Monday so they can secure the car from an orange county dealer so I told him I'd wait and said I would get a call in the morning.... No call but I did call Ozzy and he told me they sold the orange county car and they were trying to secure one from Northern Cali..... these guys are so full of B.S it's incredible. All I have to say is, save your time and go to another dealer ship like Rydell or Hunter dodge in Lancaster. read more

As soon as I walked into the dealer I was greeted multiple of times by many sales employees. Although, the first employee to approach me was Eduardo Mendoza and he was able to assist me with what I was looking for. After a few minutes of going back and forth from lot to lot, he was able to direct me to the SUV that I was looking for and that suited my characteristic and needs. He was very humble, respectful, and an awesome guy in general. Eduardo made sure that my family and I were treated well during our time in the dealer, such as having water and making sure that we were comfortable the whole time. He is such an amazing individual that our relationship from sales employee and customer seemed to be more than that. It felt as if we had known each other for a while and were best friends. Overall, Eduardo provided the best customer service and was the best! He made sure that my car was washed/detailed and had gas before I headed home. From the time I entered the lot I made it clear that I was not going to buy the same day & my salesman Damion respected that by not pressuring me at all which is why I bought the Truck, there were a few issues with the quality of the initial detail and a scratch on the truck, However Eric (The General Manager) took matters into his own hands and had the spray-on Bed liner installed as well as having the truck completely detailed by a third party. With that being said no matter where you buy a car from the chances are there will be issues, it is the customer service and how they deal with them which shows their true character, for instance there was a scratch that could be felt when you put your fingernail on it and they were able to wetsand it, buff, polish, and a thick layer of sealant!!! and that is why I rate Van Nuys Dodge a 5 star rating. I had a great experience on my visit here. I've been trying to get to buy from this dealership years ago and had some issues as well as everyone here but not enough for me to complain. It just wasn't the right time, that is all. They have been fair with pricing for me and I carefully check everything that I sign before committing. Almost all dealerships do that where they sneak in a few extras here and there to bump the price so always be careful. My experience though is different. I had one of the smoothest transaction in a Jeep Dealership. They listened to me and what I want and like any negotiations, if both parties are not fully happy with the deal that means it's the sweet spot of negotiating. I feel I did get the best price on my new Jeep Gladiator as other dealers were somehow marking it up, they were giving me the lowest price for a better model unlike the other dealer where I ordered a custom one but all of a sudden had a hefty price tag for a soft top when it arrived. This dealership definitely earned my business. My sales person, Vianne was very helpful and you can tell that she was very sincere and honest. She went out of her way to help me out and prioritized me. She was very aggressive in getting the deal done for me. Javier also was able to help me find the right bank to make sure I got the best price. All in all, it was a great experience for me if you're just patient and don't expect that they will roll out the red carpet for you just because you're buying a car from them. I got a Jeep 4 months ago and still haven't received a registrations or my tags, my tags have been expired since March from this year, I get stopped by the cops all the time for expired tags, I keep calling this dealer and no one knows what happened or either keep transferring me until they forget I'm in the phone. It's really annoying they're so unprofessional I paid for my tags and never got them, WORST DEALER I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND this place! Go get your car somewhere else. read more

I don't even feel like a 1 star review should be offered for this business. I recently purchased a vehicle from this dealership (and let me tell you I would've gone elsewhere had the vehicle I was looking for been available anywhere within 500 miles of this location). If you think there is zero haggling with this dealership you are wrong. I spent over 2 hours trying to make a deal...and the end offer that was accepted was the same offer I walked through the door with 2 hours prior. It was absolutely ridiculous. Now, because of the amount of back and forth that was done, we didn't end up walking out of the dealership until 1am. Yes you heard right....1am! After doing an inspection of my vehicle, there were several paint chips and a mechanical seat failure that I needed to have fixed. Well, I was told by my sales associate that it would be no problem and that I could bring the car back the next day and have everything fixed....sounds great an all right? Well...yea, maybe for someone who lives down the street, but no not for me who lives over an hour and half away. So, yes the next day I drove back down to their location of have my vehicle fixed only to be told they would have to keep my vehicle for over a week. You can imagine my surprise. The only decent thing about this business is the service representative that I dealt with Fabian. He was more than accommodating and really tried his best to satisfy me. Well, a week and a half later I received my car, thankfully everything was fixed. But that was not the last of my problems. Well, in the purchase of my vehicle, I also traded in a vehicle. I was told by the lady in finance that I should pay my next car payment, and when they pay off the car, I should receive the refund for the difference. And I should've known that would be a lie too. Instead of paying the agreed amount for my vehicle, the dealership paid the amount owed after I paid my next months payment (which was only done to avoid any penalties).This dealership is honestly out to get your money, and has ZERO concern for customer service. I am completely appalled at the way the handle business, and I will make it known to everyone looking for a vehicle that they should look elsewhere, even if the price seems right. read more

I have been a long-time and loyal customer of this dealership. I take all of my vehicles for service and even purchased 1 of those vehicles there. I went to get an oil change this morning for which I normally pay $32. The dealership will routinely provide me with an estimate prior to performing the work, something that wasn't done this time around. I told the clerk I don't sign anything without knowing how much I'm going to pay and he then told me the oil change was $59.99. When I asked why the sudden increase in price, he proceeded to feed me some BULLSHIT story about how they use synthetic oil. This dealership recently changed management; Russell Westbrook is a CROOK! I will no longer be going to this dealership. I was in the market to trade in my JEEP Patriot for a Renegade but I will take my business elsewhere. Stay away! read more

This rating is exclusively for their service department. I've never dealt with their sales staff or anyone else at this dealership, so I can't speak for them here. I'm only referring to their service department in this review. Their customer service is TERRIBLE. They had our car for weeks and during those few weeks, I must have tried to call them and get through to any service dept. rep at least 20-30 times. Not only was it nearly impossible to get someone on the phone, but the last time I was trying to call them for 25 minutes straight and never got anyone other than an operator on the phone, who could only transfer me. They were not able to fix our car, so we had to have it towed off their lot, and they charged us a fee for diagnosing the problem on the car - even though they couldn't fix it. So they couldn't do their job, and I still had to pay something. And their staff is less than friendly. read more

Wow!!!! What an amazing car dealership! The GM Vikas is selfless and considerate. He was an amazing help to my boyfriend and I during the entire car shopping process. Omar the floor salesperson who helped us couldn't have been more patient and understanding with us. We looked at a million different Jeeps and test drove numerous cars. He never made us feel like he was trying to sell us, rather it felt like he was trying to help us. They are both very intelligent and personable with great attitudes. Thank you to both Vikas and Omar, we ended up with a 2019 Wrangler and couldn't be happier!! Looking forward to doing more business with them in the future! read more

Went there today 12/30. With my brother who was looking to buy a new car. We were walking around looking at the inventory for atleast 30 minutes.... No one ever came out to assist us! As we are walking out a guy who said was the manager walked to us and say he could help but it was too late told him we were going to another dealer who would want our business! Came to Rydell Dodge and what a difference! Brother is walking out with a 2017 Dodge Charger!!!! read more

Worst dealership ever, went here about a month ago to get a car. I drove here to check for options I'd be able to get due to my credit. Instead the guy asked what I was driving now (I told him) then he told me to go back to that dealership and finish whatever I started with them l, however they wouldn't be able to help me out with a sell. Dumbest thing I've ever heard, you're in the car business and you decline giving me another car because I'm driving one already!!! Absurd and beyond dumb, so what did I do? Drove to another dealership who wasn't an imbecile and got a brand new Dodge Charger. Thanks for no business Russell, you my friend own a very incapable dealership. The manager and his main partner at the front desk need to go back to training school. You're in the car business, sell a freaking car and keep it pushing. Don't ask questions, just sell!! I hate this dealership and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
