Excellent place to purchase a vehicle. They even have a basketball court inside the dealership for your kids to play. Free hot dogs and chips and a real comfortable environment. I highly recommend Chris Tidwell who was honest and a no pressure kind of guy, which I much appreciated since I knew the vehicle I wanted to purchase. And, he kept me to the budget that I initially expressed to him. Chris also explained all the features on my 2016 Challenger and went above and beyond what he needed to do. We bought a car here a few months ago. One salesman was awful and desperately aggressive (which is to be expected), but then thankfully we were handed off to a much better, relaxed salesman who helped us complete the deal. However, since then they have been the most inept, careless business I've ever dealt with. Called parts for a new key fob for my Dodge Ram. They have the part , transfer me to service department to book the appointment. I ask them if I need to have part held or will service do that. They tell me service will handle it. I book the appointment for 2 weeks later. I ask service if they will have the part held, they confirm that they will. Show up for my appointment two weeks later, NO FOB!! They ask me to come back in a couple hours ,they'll bring one over from another dealer. It took me an hour to get there and an hour to get back home!! Now they want to waste more of my time!! Why is there time so valuable? read more

Unreal Experience at this dealership. I went in to get an SRT Durango and got Alex as my salesperson. We picked the car and started to work the deal and he brought in his finance manager (Andy). They both looked over the deal and told me truthfully that they cant make it happen. I told them another dealer was willing to do it (which was true) and they told me that the other dealer is going to switch it up when I get there. I left on good terms and went to the other dealership. They did switch the terms and wouldn't even come close to the deal I was getting at Russell Westbrook. I bailed from there, called Alex and he played zero games! Told Me that the car and the deal are both still available and didn't take advantage of the situation. I got there and we finished and we ended at a certain payment for the lease after my down payment. When I went into the finance office to sign, the finance manager (Justin) told me that he was able to get my payment down $25.00 lower because my pay off was less than I told them it was. That was insanely cool because he could have marked up the price of the car to make up the difference but he didn't. These guys are seriously unreal, lots of good character and ethics at this dealership. I Won't waste time looking anywhere else in the future for any cars they carry. All around, this experience could not have been any better. On a side note, I felt so compelled to write this review because after all that they did to make sure I had a good and fair experience at their dealership, they not once asked me to write them a review. At the other dealership, they guy was trying to make it a condition for the purchase. Went to go pick up my 2015 Jeep Wrangler rubicon after sitting at the dealership and not being fixed. Had a problem with my dash flickering and lighting up like a Christmas tree. I had a video and pictures of the problem and DTC codes and they still told me I have to bring the vehicle in when the problem is happening. Today I picked up my car and while I was checking my vehicle to make sure they did what they did and that I had no damage on it, I opened my engine bay and I saw that my purge valve was dangling, the clips where broken on it. The mechanic came to check the vehicle and he blamed me and started laughing at my face and acting all buddy buddy with me. He also said the clips don't matter it's not an important piece, I'm sure If this was his vehicle he would have done the same thing. If I'm not mistaken his name is Jim, Jim I'm sorry but I am not your "BUDDY". He walked away thinking I was done talking to him and I told him where are you going you need to fix this, he turned around and walked back and stop about an inch or 2 inches away from my face as if he was about to fight me. When I went to go talk to the service manager Roy he didn't seem too happy either to see me and to speak with me. I'm surprised this dealership is still open after all this is going on. Do yourself a favor, go to ANY OTHER DEALERSHIP. This place will not sell you a car for the advertised sale price. Visited 3 times (my mistake going back) attempting to purchase a Jeep Wrangler. Very specific, called ahead, they knew which one I wanted to see. They never know where their cars are, had to drive to two other lots, walk around in the sun for a half hour searching for the cars. First attempt, on a Wrangler that was advertised at a deep discount, they mysteriously lost the keys, and had to order new ones which would take two weeks. Okay, willing to wait, wanted the numbers, salesman only gave me verbal numbers, and an extremely high payment, never told me how he got there. I'm in finance, I know what rates and payments are, he clearly did not want to sell me that car, not for the sale price. The next few days that Jeep was marked back up by $10,000. Gave the dealership another chance, called ahead spoke to someone else on another advertised Jeep, made an appointment, came in, they actually printed out numbers this time, but gave me a price that was $3,500 higher than the advertised sale price on the internet, they added "aftermarket items"? This is the worst jeep dealership i've ever been to. My car had stopped working back in October, and I took it here to get fixed. I was told I would have an update on the car the next day... No one called me back, and I spent hours trying to get the right person on the phone. I was passed along from person to person getting different answers from everyone. Then when I finally got a call saying my car was done I asked what would be a good time to come get it the next day and I was told "You can't come get your car tomorrow because it's my day off". I am in need to get an oil change on my car and decided to suck it up and go back to this dealership since it's 10 min away from my house and I've left multiple messages to schedule an appointment and no one has contacted me back in 2 weeks. I waited almost 30 mins . . and you know how it is, you wait while watching five staff members do everything except deal with customers.finally got to talk to someone, I was told I would be called at a certain time to collect the vehicle. . . no call, just crickets. . after first texting, then trying to chat on line, then calling . .leaving messages, calling again, leaving messages . . . nothing. finally reached the service guy hours after the the car was due back and the main reason for the service wasn't done. I give this place 5 stars. In my opinion this dealer is far beyond different from other dealers. I recently leased a black dodge 1500 2016. After shopping around with Chevy and gmc. I never would of tought my dream car was a dodge ram . My sales man Shahraze Ghilzai was extremely helpfull . He made sure i got the best deal. I was with my wife and son at the moment of the purchas. It was a long process but we made it happen. My 2 year old son loves this place. Down to the indore awesome basketball court. To the kids room where they have alot of toys. Couldn't get my son out the dealer even after we recived the keys to my new truck. But once again the inside basket ball court is awesome !!!! They never forced anything and did not make me feel like I had to sign paperwork that day. He provided specific details on costs and fees, unlike other dealers that only spoke in very general terms. My first visit to this dealer for repair and it was very unsatisfactory. It took 3 days to repair my Wrangler with a new water pump and battery valve and cost $950. When I called to check on the status, I was put through to someone's voicemail twice. When I asked questions about exactly what was done, the man couldn't even answer my simple questions. The first person I met was very helpful. He was(self professed) new but worked to let me see and sit in all the seats in several vehicles I wanted to check out as well as research info for me he didn't know off hand (5 stars for this guy). He then introduced me to his manager to look at financing options and see what payments may look like for a couple of the cars I was interested in. The first gentleman came back and took a bunch of my contact information so they could enter me into a file to move the process forward. Then I was introduced to a final gentleman (I forget his name but he was younger). He and the manager each asked me what it would take "to get my business today" and I explained to you get one that it would be hard since I am active duty military stationed in Japan and that I was looking to have a car set up for my family when we return to the states this summer. However, once I told him that I got the feeling that he was turned off and getting ready to b!ow me off. As he walked away, my mother who was with me so I could see how hard or easy it would be for grandparents to get in and out of our future family vehicle she saw over my shoulder the younger gentleman throw up his hands and scold the 1st (new) gentleman for something. Our assumption was that it was because he didn't want to deal with someone who didn't live in the states without a stateside address or phone number. I can respect how a sale like that would be prioritized, however he told me that he would send me the financing options (I showed them my credit report so they knew I was eligible for their best deals) despite being told initially they would print it for me to take with me back to discuss with my wife in Japan and I have still yet to receive this information about a week later. Again, I understand how they might view the extra work in feeling a car to someone who lives so far away, however how do they expect active duty military to buy a car? I have a family and this is to do as soon as I arrive back and I need a car as soon as possible which is why I'm here shopping for one 6 months in advance. Very disappointed and as a UCLA alum, would recommend Russell Westbrook take his name off this place as I would not want to be associated with it if I were him. read more

Attempted to purchase a vehicle from these guys. I have to say, if this is what buying a car is like, I don't think I ever want to buy a car. Our sales guy Edwin, was overall great. He showed us a couple of vehicles and we decided on one and we were ready to roll. The dealership is supposed to be "modern" where everything is out in the open with couches and even a basketball court. Very casual environment. No issues there until we went through financing. While waiting for our financing, I heard the credit rating of the other folks around me and that did not sit well with me. I don't particularly feel that such personal and sensitive information should be discussed let alone disclosed in the open. We were there from around 1pm on a Sunday, and the finance department after agreeing to give us a loan, came back twice penny pinching and Changing the numbers. By this time, it was around 7pm and we were infuriated when they had the audacity to ask for more. We walked out and went home, very disappointed. We thought that was the end, but our sales guy called us and said this was going to happen and that his manager was on board and to go back to the dealer the next day. We went back the following day as he said this wouldn't take very long. We were there on Monday for 2 hrs waiting yet again for anything to happen but nothing did. We got up and left again as we had to pick up our child from school. As we were walking out, our sales guy again said he would drive and deliver the vehicle with the paperwork to our home and of course, that never happened. We really need a 2nd SUV, and we even reached out to our sales person that night asking if this deal was happening, but he couldn't be bothered to even respond. The whole experience is a joke. Perhaps I'm naive, but the experience has a lot to be desired. What a waste of time. So disappointed. read more

I was in the most stressful position, as one one totaled my car that I had just paid off. I came into Jeep really sad about having to get a new car. I was connected with a man named Ali Ali. I told him I wanted a used car because I wanted to avoid a car payment. Instantly, he showed me my options. I'm only 21 and was worried about being taken advantage of. He must've sensed it because as he showed me cars he was showing me features he'd want someone to show his daughter who is in her mid twenties. I was indecisive and left. A couple of days later he politely checked in with me. I came back into the dealership and he was able to get me into a 2020 Jeep Compass for the same price that another dealership was trying to charge me for a 2016 Jeep. He and I literally worked on getting me the best car for what I could afford from 5pm-11:30pm. I am so happy and more so impressed that this location has hired someone like Ali who actually cares and isn't trying to scam a customer. read more

This is the worst service department I've ever encountered. The dishonestly and lack of integrity here is unconscionable. Twice I've been forced to take my car in to manage 3 separate recalls - a number that in and of itself lets you know what kind of quality Jeep brings to the market. I don't recall the specific grievances of my last visit except that my car was not ready at the time promised, and the service rep, Gregg, kept calling me Shannon. I do remember that I was reluctant to ever have to deal with them again. After my experience today, I will not go back to this location. As a matter of fact, I've been working to put together the money to buy a new Jeep in July, and now I think I'll simply buy another make of car. I was at the dealership last week to make the appointment to come in today to replace a recalled part related to the passenger airbag. Even that was a hassle, Gregg said that I would have to have a diagnostic appointment to see which part my Liberty needed - fortunately a mechanic came into the waiting room and told him that wasn't true, and identified which part needed to be ordered. I was told to come in today at 7:30 am and that it would take about 6 hours to complete the repair. I arrived at 7:34 this morning. My car was not "checked in" until 8:34 according to the computer (I discovered this while I was complaining to the mgr around 4:45). I have Omar to thank for that. When I left my car with Omar this morning, I said to him, "Gregg said that it would take about 6 hours. Is that accurate?" Omar told me that it was, and that it would likely be done even faster than that. My car had an appointment for an 8:00am repair, which would dictate it being done by 2:00pm. Just to be safe, I decided to give them a 90 minute buffer. I actually arrived back at the dealership closer to 3:40. When I asked about my car, Omar went through everybody else's tickets and said he would find out how much longer right away and let me know what the mechanic said. About 15 minutes later he still hadn't asked, or even found out where my car was. I was getting annoyed, so he told me it would be about 30 minutes. About 40 minutes later he asked me my name so he could check on my car. At this point I became very annoyed, all I could say was, "Are you kidding me?" He hadn't checked on my car before, he just lied. I got another "at least a half an hour" response. Additionally, every time I inquired, he'd remark that it's a recall, I kept asking him what difference that made, whether it's a recall or a regular repair, they both take time and need to be done properly. When I finally spoke to the manager, her was not pleased to know that I kept being reminded that it was a recall. Honestly, I was having a Pulp Fiction / Jules "Say recall again, I dare you" moment. The manager told me that Omar was new, and that they were shorthanded - fine, tell me my repair will take 9 hours, and I won't waste my time coming in at some made up completion time. When the manager asked what he could do, I said, "don't let this happen to the next guy." I then found out that Omar had told the repair technician that my car didn't have to be done until 5:00pm. Either Omar or the repairman is straight up lying. Either way, I'll never go there again, they have no respect for their customers or their customer's time. I have no idea how this dealership has such a high rating here on Yelp. I will say that if you look at the service department reviews, they are mostly single stars (aka the lowest possible rating). Never again. Btw, they're supposed to give you a courtesy vehicle if they have your car that long on a recall, this dealership proudly declares not to have any courtesy vehicles available. I was not the only unhappy customer today. There was a father & son who were waiting while they tried to locate their car for two hours - finally the father, approx 65 yrs old, walked around and found it. Another couple left after paying $150 to be told that their starter needed to be replaced, exactly what the customer had told them - while he was waiting way too long for a simple diagnostic, that came with an exorbitant estimate, he watched You Tube videos on how to replace the part, searched an auto supply for parts, and left disgusted & determined to do the repair himself because, "No way do I trust these thieves." I never thought I'd be longing for the days when Center Jeep still existed. Clearly I was not the only disrespected unsatisfied customer there today. read more

Might be because he is new, but he gave us an APR that was 2x what was advertised and didn't give us the full factory refund offer, by the way this is illegal. I would know my job, however, even if I was new. I'm not quite sure what happened here but went to another dealer, "West Valley Chrysler Jeep" was honest with us, offered us all that the Jeep manufacturer advertised and worked with on pricing. I came in with a reservation to have certain services performed on my vehicle. After a 5 hour wait and 600 dollars, all that was completed were extra service items that I agreed to have done. It should have been communicated to me that my vehicle would not be aligned, my break screeching would not be fixed, and the parts needed to turn off my indicator lights would not be replaced that day- basically, what I took an entire day off and made a reservation for- Instead of focusing on these issues, the service rep up-sold me on services that for some reason (money/scam) took priority over the reasons I brought my car in, which was frustrating for me, since I drove in from an hour and a half away to receive service from this location because of a history with my vehicle. I was also disappointed my car was not washed as promised when I came to pick it up. Honestly it was a waste of a day, and money. I will not be bringing my Jeep back to Russell Westbrook. read more

NEW UPDATE 3/3/16 !! So turns out the service manager at Van Nuys (ken) is a thief! and is horrible to get a hold of! When me and ken sat down he told me. "Your truck needs a new Turbo-$4,500 and a Egr vavle-$1,100 plus labor". I was looking at almost $6,000 dollars. But i had purchased a Bumper to Bumper warranty, so i was only going to pay for the deductible. I told KEN to hold up on his offer, because i wanted to investigate to make sure these parts were really needed to be replaced. I then drove to San Fernando Rydell and Spoke with Rick the Service Manager. I have nothing but good things to say about Rick. When i got there i was quickly helped by staff. One of their techs scanned my 2010 ram and what do know, nothing about my turbo being bad!or my egr valve ! Thier scanner just marked bad tire sensors and windshield wiper fluid box leaking ." VAN NUYS TRIED TO PUT $6,000 DOLLARS IN THEIR POCKET USING MY BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY AND FAILDED! "So when Van Nuys tried to do this, my account had been quickly frozen and has been frozen since last year. I just want to Thank You (Rick) at Rydell San Fernando for saving me the headache and time. I thought the 6.7 diesel engine had to crash around 300,000 miles ??So my father and i head to our local Van Nuys dealership and there we talked to an employee named ROSEMARY in service and JESUS in warranty . They sold us a extended warranty dodge offers for $3,500 dollars which is suppose to be cover the RAM till 124,000 miles, so we paid CASH ! "Thinking we werent going to have to worry about $6,000 dollars in parts right" . Wrong! The truck has been sitting in the lot for a whole month . I go into to the dealership on December 15, 2015 around 2:00 pm. I dont see ROSEMARY anywhere. Im standing on a broken hip for about 30 mins while i wait for some to help me . While i got jackie chan from service and jose thats a lot attendant getting into a argument about how jose shouldn't jump start a car and how jose should go fech a customers car instead lol. Very professional working as a team . So then a gentleman named Terry from service desides to help me. I ask him if ROSEMARY still works here ? He says, " she does no longer work here." So the truck was never worked on ! Now im stuck between a rock and a hard place . I asked Terry and the Service Manger what about my "New warranty" and they say , " We cant believe we sold you guys a warranty when your truck has these many problems and these many miles" . So the best we could do is give you a refund of your $3,500 dollars in a check and maybe a discount off the $6,000 dollar in parts because in the Warrantys fine print . It says " You have to wait 30 days till its affective and the vehicle should be in perfect condition". So why didnt ROSEMARY OR JESUS TELL US THAT WHEN WE BROUGHT THE TRUCK AND THEN SOLD US A WARRANTY THAT DOESN'T WORK ?! MAYBE THATS WHY SHE GOT FIRED . LIKE I SAID , "VERY PROFESSIONAL." I Made a deal to purchase a vehicle I wanted, I was then told to come back while they had someone deliver the car to their location because they didn't have the color I wanted . I had all the paperwork done just needed my final signature. I had already called my insurance to give the vin number so the car was insured in my name. Once it came down to do the signatures I said I will not was not sign till I see the vehicle in person then the sales rep told us the vin number he had given us previously before was the wrong one. They kept pressuring me to sign before I saw the vehicle .Turns out they tried to switch the vehicle we had originally made the deal on and give me a completely different car. After this so call mistake they still refused to commit to the deal that was made on the car I had chosen. if you're new to buying a car please don't go to this place. Whilst everyone is very nice they have sales men tactics that can totally and utterly defeat you. I was very specific in my request with what I wanted at 945am and by 6pm (YES A FULL DAY) I was given a option on a jeep WAY outside of my original need. My credit check took over half a day for them to 'get approved' which is quite frankly nonsense, credit checks are immediate. This is a sales tactic to keep you there. Such crap service! Called and made an appointment and told them exactly what the problem was. Rear bumper needs to be replaced and bling-spot sensors are not working. Was told no problem. Brought it in this morning, they took all my info, told the guy the exact same thing. Asked for them to call with a quote and that I needed the car back by 4pm to pick up my kids from school. Was informed none of this was a problem. At 230 I called and was put on hold for over 20 minutes and had to call back twice to speak to what was apparently the only person who could tell me about my car only to be told they can't take the bumper off the car. That I have to go to the body shop for that. When I asked why I wasn't informed when I made the appointment and when I dropped it I was told that the customers are usually wrong so they need to evaluate the car anyway! So I lost an entire day and I'm going to have to do it again elsewhere another day because apparently they cannot trust that I can tell when my bumper is pushed in and broken?! Yes its true. One Star is generous actually. If you are a consumer take this warning...BEWARE!!! I have been a Chrysler customer for 22 years. Don't buy a car here!!!! I bought a brand new RAM here and it was the biggest mistake I ever made. They are very unprofessional. I was promised certain things in the contract that they would not honor or make right. I had my car for 10 days, they were supposed to install 3 parts and I was supposed to have it back in 3 days. That was almost 6 weeks ago. I still do not have my car back. They do not return emails or phone calls and I continue to make payments and pay insurance on a car I only used a few days, almost 2 months ago... I would never make another deal at Van Nuys Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep Ram (also known as Van Nuys CDJR) and I the only reason I am writing this Yelp review is to try to save someone else from having to go through the stress and grief I went through. I still don't have my car back. Also (where ever the car is that I bought) they never washed the car (still has the blue tape all over the exterior paint) and they never filled up the gas tank either. Other things that were promised and never done but pale in comparison to the lack of communication and the taking of my personal property and not returning it. At this point it looks like I'm going to need to have a lawsuit to resolve this. At any rate there are lots of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram dealers...I would highly suggest avoiding buying a car or entering into a contract at Van Nuys CDJR. Pretty much impossible to ever get ahold of someone in the service Dept. I shouldnt have to physically go to a dealership, just to set up an apt. This place has horrible customer service. I'll take my vehicle somewhere else read more
