Worst experience ever. I went a month ago to be scammed. When I contacted kia I was told the deal was available in regards to leasing a new Sportage. When I arrived and of course that deal was in available because the price on the car was not what was advertised they didn't have that available because the market and everything being marked up. I was also told that they don't buy cars. When I said I was going to go sell my car and I would then have my deposit in hand I got told Oh we can help you they wanted to buy my car now. I was promised a certain amount of money back but that did not happen. The finance gentleman Jacob went through signing all the documents with me but I had to send my mom documents because she doesn't live in the state and she was cosigning and he said he would go ahead and mark all the documents so that she knew where to notarize it and where to sign on everything. When my mother receive the documents there was no Indication on where she should sign. Or where she should notarize. When my mom called and talk to him he blamed me and said that I should've known where to tell her to sign and I should have told her what pages to have notarized. My mom got the paperwork back to them in a 24 hour turnaround. They sent her another document for her to sign again she got it back and a 24 hour turnaround. I started this process on the 22nd they finally got my mom's documents by the 29th didn't contact me until the next day. When I got there on the first I paid for my first months payment handed over my vehicle I was selling to them and got my new lease. The sales person wanted to take a picture of me which I expressed on multiple levels I did not want my picture taken I felt a very creeped out and uncomfortable in regards to the whole situation. Also was promised again that I would have my check within 10 days because they purchased my vehicle. Now I called multiple times. Left many messages and never received a call back.I got a call oct 28th after calling Kia multiple times in regards to my check I should've been receiving.But was to tell me that my payment was past due and I was already late. How can I be late it has not even been 30 days from the day that I picked up the car which was on 1 October 28 days later I'm already getting a collections and that my payment is late when I never received the payment that they promised me nor even a callback in regards to this payment. Also reading over my documents they took a payment out of that money they were going to send back to me. And it says on my monthly statement that they received a payment on the 22nd September and I made a payment on the first of October. when I picked up the car. So how could I be late. No one in that office will actually take any responsibility for anything that they do they all pass along the problem and tell me another manager needs to help. They also sent the full check to Toyota so that Toyota will then send me back my payment from them purchasing my vehicle they also took over three weeks to send this check to Toyota and that was after they took a payment out of that check when I never authorize that. So now Toyota is paid late I'm getting a late fee by them because he had never sent the payment on time so now I'm behind on a payment which I've never been and the whole time I've ever leave for a part missing my car anytime my car pushed off and not answered my question I don't feel like this was a good decision at all rude and unable to take responsibility for making any errors. Worst customer service in my life. When I requested for them to move the date for a payment she told me she did but when I followed back that was never done. I get told I can't speak to customer service until I make a payment so I can't get any resolution in regards to any situation I'm going through until I make a payment. Pretty class act. I do not recommend purchasing a vehicle here and if you do make sure you read all your paperwork I would not recommend letting them by your car and because getting any money back Who knows when you'll actually receive it or if you'll receive the amount that they promised you. For starters, if someone pulls in to the service driveway, maybe greet them right when you notice them pull in? I had three guys lock eyes with me until one decides to say something after having me sit for 5 minutes. It doesn't stop there. Jorge was "helping" me today with my service recall on my ALL ELECTRIC KIA NIRO EV 2022!!! Now, as many of you with common sense know.. ev cars don't need a whole lot of service done on them because well, there's no gas! I was told that they just had to rotate my tires, top off my brake fluid, and they rinsed my car. My appointment was for 1pm on a Wednesday. There were 3 others in the waiting room ahead of me, then 5 more after me. The 5 all left within 2 hours of me waiting there. 2 hours sounds ridiculous doesn't it? For the minimal work they had to do on my car. It gets better. Jorge reassured me from the beginning that it shouldn't take longer than an hour. I was pleased to hear it Jorge! Thanks for the very useless information! I was in the waiting room until 4:20pm!!! That's a little over an hour Jorge!:') HAVE SOME RESPECT MAN! I'm a full time student with a hefty load of assignment's due on Sunday. I noticed the older folks leave far before me when my car was ready for me all along. They just never bothered telling me and felt my time wasn't the slightest of their concern. Luckily I had my book with me and was just reading away as I let the hours pass me by. I did not have an honest trustworthy experience here. I am in the market for a used vehicle and found exactly what I wanted online. I called the dealership to confirm the advertised price and specifically asked the representative if there was any extra or add on to the price. She confirmed the price and told me there weee no extra charges or add ons. I made the trip down to the dealership the next morning and took about an hour to view and rest drive the car. I told the salesman I would take it but just then he advised the car comes with nitro in the tires, a gps locator, and door protection film all totaling another $1500. So much for no extras. I told him I wasn't interested. He then went in to speak with his manager and came out and said he could get it down to $800. Then he said $400. At this point, it was the principal. I told him I wasn't paying a penny more than the advertised price. This is a dirty tactic to get you in the store. I would say call before you visit and confirm the price but I tried that and was straight up lied to. I told them I'd buy the car for the advertised price but at this point it's inevitable I'll have purchased another car already. In my line of work I am constantly in discussion with people and their finances. If Van Nuys can't honor their ad, they'll never get a good recommendation from me. See the picture below. They will not honor the price advertised. Update...I was contacted by the dealer the next day and offered the vehicle at the posted price shown on their internet site. I have never submitted a review before, but my experience with the service department has been so bad I felt I had to share it. I bought the car from this dealership despite having a better offer elsewhere, because I wanted to buy it from a dealership closer to home. I also purchased a service contract which was a big mistake. My check engine light went on and the manual say take it to get checked right away. I call and let them know I need it checked right away because my mom is in the hospital and I can't risk a breakdown when I take her home. They tell me they can't see me for over month and to take it to another dealership. I ask to talk to the service manager they say he's in a meeting; I said, please have him call me and made sure they had my correct number. I have made multiple calls and emails, but get no replies. I took it to the Kia Dealership in Glendale, where they were very helpful, but now I'm having the same problem and Van Nuys Kia gave me an appointment at the end of July. Again no return call from the service manager. Why do they sell service contracts that they cannot honor? I really wish I had not purchased my car from this dealership dealership. read more

I am super impressed with Kia Van Nuys. I dealt directly with Cesar. He took really good care of me and made sure that I had whatever I needed when I dropped my car off. We ran into a little issue with our harness, but they immediately made sure to make it right and even went above and beyond to take care of it. I didn't even have to lift a finger. Cesar made sure to keep me in the loop he called me and told me exactly what was going on and they even delivered the dipstick that was missing, from my previous maintenance with Kia downtown LA. NOT Kia Van Nuys. They cleaned up Kia DTLA's mistake. Cesar immediately noticed the missing dipstick, and called me right away. Not only did they make several promises to me, they were uncommunicative during the process, lied about several things & let me believe that there were subtle issues with the process of getting the car. They strung me along for two weeks not being transparent about any of the information being given to me and when I caught them, they would tag me along to someone else higher in the dealership because they didn't want to deal with us anymore. For the past few weeks, I've been researching the Kia Forte for my kids. I've worked with no less than 5 dealers throughout southern California. In 2 instances, I dealt with a bait and switch, in which a price was quoted to me by phone and then suddenly changed when I showed up at the dealership. After all of this, I found William at Van Nuys Kia. I told him about my experience and he urged me to come in. They had the exact car that I wanted and was ready to make me a very fair deal. I went in and, true to his word, we go the car we wanted for a very fair price. Everyone at the dealership (especially William) was kind, courteous and helpful. Before we left with our new car, the staff had a little ceremony for us (so fun), took pictures and sent us a little video. This added to the excitement of my kid's first car.
