I've been contemplating whether to jump into a new car, especially seeing that it wasn't the best time to buy or lease a new car, I decided to wait. However, something happened and I needed a new car out of necessity, and after visiting some dealerships and doing a little research, I thought I had found the car I wanted and my heart was set on it. No one at that time could convince me otherwise. But I'm writing this review while enjoying my brand new Kia Sorento Hybrid. How did that happened when I was so convinced I had found my car? Well, and here is where my friends at Kia of Van nuys, did just that. A good friend had did some research to help me out and told me about Kia and said I should really look into it, it's great car and good ratings and might surprise me. One late night, my friend and I decided to visit Kia of Van nuys , just to check it out, with no intention of buying. But the moment we walked in, something felt different and little did I know I was going to walk away right before closing with a Brand New Car. Before the guys could get in a word, we said spare us the sales pitch, we know what we want and we have the numbers that we want as well. If you can't give us what we want, we won't waste our time nor your time. We thought at that moment we were going to walk away like a lot of places we went to. Sunny the manager looked at us with a " try me" attitude and introduced us to Luis who grabbed the keys and took us forever a test drive. He was really nice and talked to us about the car and needless to say I fell in love with the car. It was just the car that I needed and wanted. At this point I had forgot all about my dream car at the other dealership. Luis was really great in being thorough about the car and re assured me after I had some doubts, that everything was going to work out. Even when I was being doubtful, he told me to be positive and I'll get what I want. He was genuine and just seemed like a great guy and he made me feel really comfortable and believed that , yea, everything was going to be good and ok. And Sunny, God bless Sunny. I was really not budging on my numbers and I know he could've said no, but he worked and worked with me until I was comfortable with the numbers at the end. Anyone who feels their expectations might be u realistic, I'll tell you come to Kia and hook yourself up with Luis and Sunny, and to anyone at the dealership I feel. There was just a warmth and welcoming feeling with all the staff and workers there. I didn't feel like I was being sold anything I wasn't trying to buy. I could honestly say it felt like family here and you will be greeted and taken care of with the utmost respect and service. I'm happy with my car, my purchase and experience. I have tried calling Pedro (also goes by Peter) and left messages with the service manager but nobody has called me back. This has been going on for months. My family and I bought 3 Kia cars last year, a 2021 sorento, 2021 K5, and a 2021 forte. For the last few weeks the Forte has been stalling. Two weeks ago it stalled as we pulled out of a driveway and almost got hit by a car because it stalled and turned off. We've taken it for service 3 times and have been told it's fixed. The Forte has only about 6,500 miles on it. Today it stalled and turned off in the middle of the street, I was running to help my girlfriend move the car out of the street because it was blocking traffic and would not turn on. As I'm pushing the car concerned and worried that someone might hit us, I call Van Nuys Kia to schedule an appointment and to get a resolution to this issue. I speak to someone in the service department who doesn't provide a name and also provides zero empathy. He tells me to bring the car in right now or tomorrow morning. I advise him that it's not turning on and if Kia can tow it there. Again, he could care less and transfers me to a voicemail while I continue to push the car out of the street. I call back to Van Nuys Kia and speak to someone else, again no name provided. This time it's different, I get attitude and zero empathy and get transferred to another voicemail. So here I am literally on the streets, being told to get to Kia by an unknown person who doesn't provide me a time or an appointment. I bought my car when Michael Crawford was running Van Nuys Kia, and I felt like he rolled out the red carpet for me. He made me feel like my family needed 3 brand new Kia cars. Now that he's gone, the people I have spoke to today have made me feel like I had the rug pulled out from under me, as I've been treated like a bum. I wanted to upgrade my K5 to a sorento, but based on how I've been treated at Van Nuys Kia, I will be looking for other dealership options. I would not recommend van Nuys Kia, buyer beware!! Do not get treated like I have, there's a reason Michael Crawford is no longer here... It's been 3 weeks since my original post, and we received our car back from van Nuys Kia on 7/13/22. Since then, it's had the same problem, we were told that it was the gps that came installed with the car. The service team unplugged the gps and stated that this was the fix for our issue. This past weekend we drove the car to confirm that it was fixed and to our dismay, it was not. I have also called the GM at Van Nuys Kia (Arnold) and left messages without a phone call. I called the Kia consumer department and waited over 2 hours, once I reached a representative, I was once again met with ATTITUDE and the rep began contradict everything I was previously told by another rep. I informed the rep that I could only repeat the information that I was told. My purpose of calling Kia consumer was to have a technician come out to Van Nuys Kia to look at our car, as I was instructed by Van Nuys Kia. Now, I have to take back our car back to Van Nuys Kia to go in this big circle for the 5th time. Van Nuys Kia does not provide a loner car and does not reimburse me for the time I take away from work. So here we are with a car that's only a year and a half old and only has about 8K miles on it. The GM at Van Nuys Kia doesn't return your call, Kia consumer dept has a long hold time and just dismisses you and your issue. God forbid that we get in an accident due to our car stalling and turning off on the freeway or in traffic. Kia has been consistent in not fixing our car and even more with greeting us with plenty of attitude for very frustrated and disappointment customers. I can't warm you enough to stay away from Van Nuys Kia. Beyond disappointed is an understatement. read more

Very happy with my experience at this dealership. I was treated respectfully, and was able to negotiate a terrific lease on a 2020 Sportage EX. My salesperson, Erick, was a pleasure to work with. I've been looking at cars for several weeks, visiting different dealerships, test driving several different cars. Erick was knowledgeable and helpful without applying any pressure. After my car was in for a service I was refused updates and was even hung up on multiples times! Cynthia is entirely rude and not helpful. Additionally, the service department is full of complete assholes. I had to get my car out of there as soon as possible. After the way they treated my family and I, I didn't want a single person to touch my car. After asking for a manager multiple times, I was informed that the service department "doesn't have a manger" and there was no one I could talk to. read more

When I arrived Ismael was my contact person and he was friendly and explained the process for both if I needed to have the car worked on or just checked. When I picked up my car I asked for assistance with a few issues with my car radio and the wireless situation. I hate this place! After two bad experiences in a row I'm never going back. I'd rather drive all the way to glendale to the next closest dealership then EVER go back to this one just down the street from me. Last time when I was there they didn't rotate my tires and I had to go back and they basically accused me of lying but did it anyways. Why would I waste my time going back if it weren't true? The final straw was this morning. I set the appointment for as early as I could figuring it would be the quickest way in and out. 7:30am ok no problem. I get there just before the time to find two cars waiting before me. The guy says to pull behind them and wait my turn. Almost a half hour goes before those two cars one by one get driven away. I ask the guy what's going on my appointment was for 7:30am and it's almost 8am he says they book up to FIVE appointments per slot and also schedule impromptu ones over the phone and that they also only have one guy working on each. I said that's absolutely ridiculous and that I don't have five hours to wait there for my car to be seen. Just infuriating and horrible. read more

5 stars for OMAR ,he helped my wife and I purchasing a 2018 Ford Explorer he explained us everything and he was the only reason why we purchased the car but during the process they told me that the car came with paint protection and nitrogen in the tires and I told them that I refuse to pay for those but some how they added them in my contract . I ask ART if we were going to get new license plates since the tags are do January and I purchased the car in June and he said that it wasn't do in January 2023 that it's do in June 2023 but I just received the car registration with the do date in January 2023 which is only 5 months away from now and not a full year like other car dealership do normally after selling a new or used car ; I called the dealership this morning and I asked them about that and the lady said that since it's a used car I wasn't going to ge new plates and I have to pay for the registration in January but it's not true because even in the small used car dealerships they give new license plates in every car plus now I have so many issues with the suv and the dealership just told me to take it to ford not them read more
