I had called and made an appointment to test drive a 2020 Kia Niro. The woman I spoke to said they would have it at the dealership ready and waiting when I got there. It wasn't. It was at a different location. While we were waiting for him to get the keys and drive us over to the car we noticed him taking off his mask multiple times to talk to people so we opted out and drove ourselves. As soon as we got back from test driving the car, he started talking about prices and I told him my price limit, again. He was extremely rude and made little backwards remarks about how I can't actually afford this car and I should be looking at a much cheaper car. I had an oil change on a Saturday afternoon and upon bringing my vehicle in I was greeted immediately. Jonathan aka JJ was a great salesman. He was straight to the point and didn't force us into haggling or adding on any services we didn't need or want. I had been to many dealerships in the past month looking for a reasonably priced used Corolla and overall had horrible experiences with pushy sales people and managers who tired to sway me out of my budget and wish list. JJ understood our family's needs and was able to get us the car we wanted at a great deal. This dealership does price their cars at fair prices, we got a used 2015 Corolla with only 67k miles for listing price of about 15k which was a unicorn find in today's market. Also appreciated how Jacob in Finance went over our contract and clearly went over the car fax info and disclosures. After we had made our decision, he brought an even bigger sweetheart over who was his manager Russell to finalize everything. Even though we had some hiccups, Russell never hesitated or got frustrated with us. He was also enthusiastic and went out of his way to come up with so many solutions for us. Both men were a joy to be around and even though I was in the dealership with my family for 3 hours (buying a car takes time when doing it properly) they were very hospitable. Update: called the manager as recommended in the damage control response to my review. Left a message, never heard back. I did, however, take my car to a different dealership and they put the license plate on for free, and - surprise - they said that I didn't need to replace the whole bumper. Right after, I called Fernando in Parts at Kia Van Nuys and he was really nice and gave me a refund for the giant cheap plastic bumper that was $271. Now I have a license plate, no bumper, my money back, and saved $550 in "labor" that Kia Van Nuys was going to charge me for putting on the bumper I don't need or want. read more

Where do I begin? Suzie and RJ are scammers, we made a deal over the phone and even confirmed one more time with Suzie before coming in with so we wouldn't waste time. When we got to the dealership she handed us over to RJ an associate of hers. When we closed the deal on the phone it was $3200 down payment out the door and $179/month including tax for the monthly payments 36 months. When we got there it all the sudden jumped to $5600 down payment and payments in the HIGH $200s! HOW DOES THAT EVEN MAKE SENSE?! He went to go talk to Suzie and she wouldn't come out of her office because she didn't want to face us. This dealership is full of crooks and scammers! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!! Suzie should be fired she is a LIAR and didn't stick to her word!! RJ just tries to upsale you and is also not a good salesman! Terrible ! I was so happy to finally have a kia close to do routine change oils , i went yesterday , keep in mind my car never leaks oil I'm very anal if my car so check all the time , yesterday after waiting almost 3 hrs for an oil change because there were going to fix a recall also so they said , later to find out they didn't had the part so after waiting i still have to come back , anyways , after oil change done , they told me my car had a mayor oil leak and they can fix it for 1600 !!!!!!!! I obviously was shocked told them my car has no leaks. This morning i went to check my car and there is oil on the ground !! Now is leaking ! I'm sure the did something to the car !!! I'm so mad ! Don't go there ! They are robbers and trying to make money on this pandemic !!!!!!!!!!! Now i have to take it to my mechanic , so sad and frustrated about that place. If I could give this location no stars I would. The most recent incident took place 1/15/2024 where I had to bring my vehicle in for a recall. Mind you, I had just been there 1/3/2024 for a recall. Per the recall notice, the battery was not replaced as it should have been. As a result the power is limited, allowing very little acceleration. I was sent a text from Amee (service advisor) 1/15/2024, but when I replied for a status update, I didn't get a reply until 1/16/2024. This is after calling twice on 1/15/2024 & 1/16/2024 and being transferred to voicemail. The reply only states they are in the diagnostic process and I'll get a call shortly. As of now, I have heard from no one. I've also left a voicemail for the GM, at 818-751-2234 with no callback. Had they replaced the battery on 1/3/2024 this would be a non issue. The lack of follow up and professionalism is appalling, deplorable and all around disturbing and distasteful. THEY STILL HAVE MY CAR, NO STATUS, NO CALLBACK! THEY INSTALL GPS TRACKING DEVICES in their vehicles and don't inform you!!! HORRIBLE experience after pre-sale! My wife and I received good customer service pre-sale, when they were charging us +$10k OVER MSRP. Then, after the deal was done, our BRAND NEW 2022 Kia kept having issues and literally wouldn't start. We're a 4-person family with 2 toddlers and this is our only vehicle. The first break down was in Dec of 2021!!! Turns out, this dealership puts GPS tracking devices in all of their vehicles - which was NOT disclosed upon purchase - and is the reason our brand new 2022 car has been sitting in a different Kai service center for 5 out of the 8 weeks that we've owned it because of the electrical short that was caused by the GPS tracking device that Van Nuys Kia installed! On top of everything, this dealership gave us the wrong floor mats for our car and have made no effort to send us the proper floor mats. We called and left multiple messages for the General Manager asking for a call back to try and get assistance. No reply and no response to multiple texts. Unacceptable!!! Stay away from this dealership at all costs!!!!!!
