After driving both we decided on a Sienna. Favour did an awesome job showing us the vehicle, driving it with us, and valuing our trade. He answered our questions or found answers to our question. Even was able to meet with a service advisor to ask questions about the hybrid system, etc. The negotiations took some time, but eventually we were able to get to a price that I wanted. Ariel took care of us during the finance part, and was equally great. Had a ton of questions and was able to answer them all. Overall they left us with a good experience and as long as customer service remains as it did with our experience, we'll be back. read more

My fiancé made a deal on a truck and was on his way with the check in hand only to be called and told they sold it someone else. They flat out said "whoever gets here first can have it." I didn't want to even give a star Vandergriff Toyota in Arlington, TX on I-20 customer service has significantly decreased since I've gotten 2 cars from them(used & new) as well as sent several friends and family members over as referrals....The left hand never knows what the right hand is doing....I've been dealing with a recall issue with my car that initially rolled out in 2019 or 2020 I believe...this whole madness with this recall ordeal has been a total nightmare....I use my car for work everyday so I always need reliable transportation....effective communication and transparency is very IMPORTANT to me!! so it's very crucial to me to know next steps ahead of time for planning purposes and to see how to work around my work schedule...so that I'm not only inconvenienced but neither is anyone else I may need to also carve out the time to work around my day....they never update my file with my updated contact information so when things come up or change they don't use the correct phone number to alert me....I have to wait until I call or get here to be told what the next steps are....I just don't have the time to sit at a dealership all day or keep altering my work schedule for their convenience....I have only 18 months left on my car until it's paid off but with the poor service and lack of communication I'm ready and willing to give up the car all together....I WILL NOT BE RETURNING! My wife went in today to get her leased 2021 Camry service done (oil change etc) Her service advisor Alfredo hustled my wife for $496 with unwarranted services that she didn't need or ask for. Fuel injector service, throttle body service on a 27,000 mile Camry when the service manual doesn't even call for it. We were considering trading her lease when it ends this May for a new 4Runner or sequoia because we have a kid on the way. Once again this dealership was dishonest. My buy out today would be $18,280 and some change. The dealership quoted $20,626 just to purchase her lease not including taxes title registration. On top of that $950 in "dealer added accessories" They didn't give her the quote because what they are doing is illegal. Thankfully she took a picture of the quote. I have brought it back several times to get these issues resolved and I am always told parts were on back order. Then the manager I was dealing with left. Just recently the new manager Jessy Salinas took my call regarding this issue early July he was great at communication at first and then was passed on to a service advisor knowing that I have been dealing with this issue for over a year at this point. Dropped off my car on two weeks ago and finally was told it was ready. I went to pick up my car yesterday morning and nothing was ever done!!! The issue was still there!! It was a dealership with a low rating but my advisor was DAVID OKERE and he completely changed my mind I won't be coming back. His attitude was very rude. You could tell he did not want to deal with me. And when she did, I didn't believe her. She sent me listings for four non hybrid cars. When I asked her if the car was still available, she wouldn't answer the question. Instead, she asked me what my price range was over the phone. Then she said the car was sold and would call me back in five minutes. She never did. I called back and spoke to a different salesman, Michael. He said the car still showed it was available online, and would call me back after verifying. I never heard back from him either. This service department has gotten worse I used to be taken care of by Nancy Goodwin a few years ago and hadn't came back since she left because customer service wasn't the same I used always get all my service done with her including routine oil changes She was always great! I recently had some valve cover gaskets leaking on my tundra for an oil leak and decided to give them a try again. Well since then the customer service and courtesy has gotten worse plus now they want to pass a 3% credit card transaction fee? Very bad service! They charged $860.05 for 30K regular maintenance without any additional work. I asked to check wiper blades; and nobody did it. After that they gave me estimate what else should be done for my vesicle for $6306.27 (including repair JPS). My car is in very good condition and runs great. So I knew my case was difficult I'd been fighting a repo for 3 years ago, poor credit but I had the cash flow. They gave my a Highlander which I love. The dealership was supposed to reimburse me $5,400 for my old car. They said it takes about a week. 2 weeks later I call cause I haven't heard anything. I call them and now they are asking for tax returns and other things. I gave them 8 bank statements already and told I was approved. Now I owe extra fees on a car I was told would be compensated for. It was very upsetting to reserve a mini van for renting and to not have any. We reserved one months ago just to come here and have them say they don't have any for us. They had a smaller car for us, however, it was then our responsibility to call around other locations and ask about minivans after they called some. So irritated. Definitely don't rent from this location or be prepared for disappointment. Well just like the rest of the reviews say, this place sucks. I went in with my own financing but they said they would match the rate and to give them a chance. Enter Duy Huynh. He seems nice enough so I hear him out on his spill about the extended warranty. I decline and said I will deal with that later as the car I was buying had a factory warranty. He pushes, what can I do to get you to buy it....I can lower your payments. Ok, let me see the numbers. He instead pulls out the iPad and said we will see the final savings after we're done. Well we finished up and he said the MPP warranty was $1200. Ok done. I get home and look for the detailed purchase agreement but I didn't get a copy. I emailed him and went thru the numbers. A quick breakdown. $2100 for the warranty, he increased the agreed upon sales price by $300, and added another $600 for some club plus junk though I wasn't buying a Toyota. So by simply agreeing to finance with this people my price went up $3000. 1 month later I'm still waiting to be refunded my money from this warranty. If you go into the room with this guy, just stick to your original numbers and don't let him upscale you anything. I put half the price of the car down and they still tried to screw me. Better experience then Sewell. Words can't describe how grateful and thankful I am for Vandergriff Toyota. The whole entire staff was beyond great! Starting with our salesmen Nasir, truly a remarkable salesmen at his craft, my wife and I did not feel rushed, the van was washed prior to us driving it and him apologizing for the long wait (well worth it to get into a washed car), he really took the time to hear us and serve us, Shaq was hands down the best manager he say a place to insert himself and make sure everything was going smooth and in fact he saved the sale, I absolutely loved talking with him and felt that he wanted our best interest. Cook the GM absolutely went above and beyond, he was incredible to deal with so polite and professional a master of his craft. Even after we bought the van he came out and pointed to some curb rash and said come see me later on I'll personally make sure that underside bumper is fixed. Incredible!!! Then John in finance amazing way to end the night, he was very fun to deal with, personable and went above and beyond. Went here to try to fix the grinding sound coming out of the front left side of the car near the fender and was extremely disappointed and angry with the outcome. I was told that I was gonna get called with the diagnosis and that I had the choice to proceed with service or not. This was not the case at all! They charged me without notifying me of anything or giving an estimate. When I finally received the call to pick up my car, I was very confused on what the lady on the phone was saying. When I tried to ask for clarification she replied to me with a degrading manner. Not only that but they called me 25 minutes before their service department was closing and they knew I had no means of transportation. While driving the car back to work I noticed that they didn't even secure the hood properly. Now I am down 160 and the problem still persists. read more

Purchased vehicle 9/14/23 and later got screwed by Odalis Alejo in financing at Vandergriff Toyota Arlington. After signing everything and leaving with vehicle I get call several days later to come in and resign some paperwork. I get there 9/21 and Austin Rines tells me Alejo is not in and asked him if he could have me resign. He said he did not know reason, but guessed maybe a page was missing on 9/14. So stupid trusting me just resigned paperwork without reading it. Month later I login Toyota financial to make 1st payment and see my payment is almost $200 more than Odalis's paperwork I signed. Spent to next 2 weeks calling and leaving messages for Odalis...she never called me back! 11/1 called Toyota Finance to try figuring out why. Long story short, Odalis change/increased my interest rate by 2% and deployed her plan with Austin as her minion, betting I would be too stupid/trusting to not read 9/21 paperwork & notice changed interest & payment. The first salesperson to approach us never pressured us and answered all our questions thoroughly. They were great at following up with us. When we came back to purchase our car, Liz helped us and went above and beyond. The financing process was also very smooth, Eli was great at explaining everything and very genuine. It would be zero stars if that was an option. Worst service experience I've ever had at Vandergriff last week. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Had a flat tire and went in for repair/replace. Service advisor Brittany asked which tire went flat and I told her (rear passenger side), however I also told her my husband put on the spare tire and that the other tire was put in the spare carrier under my car. They call a short time later and tell me they can't find anything wrong with my tire. Because I have a warranty, it got replaced. I got home and we realized they replaced my perfectly good, brand new spare tire and left my flat in the spare carrier. Are you kidding me? This was after they made my appt for the wrong day so I showed up and they could not find my appt on the schedule. Then the service advisor was superficially polite but clearly annoyed when I complained about my appt being scheduled incorrectly. She was no more pleasant when I called back after realizing their error (tried to blame it on me) or the next day when I had to go back to get the correct tire fixed. Ridiculous. I bought a truck here and my payments were increased by Jordan Lamar. Duc Le from the Finance Department also placed a false charge for a warranty I said I didn't want. It took weeks to get this warranty removed. Vandergriff refuses to change the monthly payment back to the agreed-upon payment. This place is a scam, pure and simple: bad folks and bad vehicles. Jordan Lamar and his supervisor are unforgivable. It's best to stay away from this business: they don't have Texan values. I have owned Toyota's for most of my life and have always stood by the brand. I have a 2007 Tundra that aside from some AC issues, still runs like a champ. Last September, we bought a truck from Vandergriff Toyota in Arlington, #vandergriff, #vandergrifftoyota #Toyota - a 1794 edition hybrid Tundra. This truck, not even a year old has had numerous hybrid battery cooling issues. We have had the truck in 3 times. The first time they had it a week and pretty much said, sorry no idea what's wrong or how to fix it (way to go Toyota, build a truck and sell it but not actually know WTF is wrong with it!) They say they even called in their corporate Toyota people to figure it out. The second time - still no idea. It's been confirmed that this truck's hybrid battery can not cool in temps over 111. Did they ever once think what the temp is in the vehicle on hot days? This is TEXAS - it's hot as hell here. Are you kidding me? So I went to try to make an even trade for a vehicle that's NOT a lemon - and I find out from numerous other Toyota dealerships that Vandergriff Toyota ripped me off and sold us the truck for well over $10K MSRP last year. Two months ago, they made me a lame offer on a different Tundra with less features and wanted me to pay more for that one than the first rip off. Now I go back to them to talk about the previous offer, but because they are greed driven, they refuse to honor the offer now two months later, and still will not give us a fair deal to get in a different truck. They do not care that they sold us a lemon. When will it matter? When it catches fire in my garage or I break down and get hit? Or when I am stranded because the battery warnings actually fry the battery? They do not care about making things right and making a fair deal - its all about the almighty buck and their profit. Called in for some parts for my Tacoma go to left on hold for 2 hours then when they finally pickup they had transferred me to the wrong department had to wait another 30m. They only did this bc they hated the fact that I told them it didn't take 2.5 h to take one tiny seal of the drive shaft. This place is not good with customer service and shady. Twenty years ago I bought a car from this dealership and had a very bad experience. We made a complaint but it seems things have never improved here. I just heard of the exact same complaint from someone else today. The problem was we had to spend a long time haggling on the price, after that we had to wait for yet a long time for a finance guy. At the end (after 4-5 hours) we were exhausted and wanted to just close the deal but lo and behold we found that they had added some tire gadgets that were not mentioned with us before and the price went up.
