    Chicken Bowl
    Brianna M.

The food is so so yummy and flavorful. Butttt I would say it's overpriced for the ratio of meat/rice you get. I paid $18 (before tax) for a chicken bowl and I got maybe one chicken breast worth of chicken. Kinda disappointing tbh. It was so yummy but they def pack it up w rice and kinda skimp you on the meat. Definitely give enough veggies though which was nice. I'm conflicted cause it was soo tasty and the flavors were amazing but I really hoped to get more meat. Maybe cause I'm used to eating so much protein because I strength train/body build. I mean I would try this place to see if it's worth it for you! But u don't think it's worth it for me :)!

Entree' 1 Lobster and shrimp combo. The shrimp was nicely spiced and cooked perfectly, same for the lobster. The rice and vegetables were bland and very greasy. Entree' 2 Steak and Lobster combo. The steak was tender and cooked as requested. The lobster was also spiced and cooked perfectly. The rice and vegetables were bland and saturated in oil. Appetizer Potstickers greasy but spiced. $187 Service was quick and friendly.

I ordered a steak bowl last night and was extremely disappointed with what I received. I come here often and usually enjoy the food, so this experience was a big letdown. The rice in my bowl had a dry crust on it, like it had been sitting out for hours. The steak was tough, had a strange smell, and tasted nowhere near fresh. On top of that, there were no vegetables in my bowl at all. I ended up taking a couple pieces of zucchini and broccoli from my daughter's plate just to have something, and she also paid $25 for her meal. For the price, the quality was unacceptable. The meal looked and tasted old, and the portion was disappointing. Even the customer service was off -- the young woman at the counter was not polite and came across as rude. I'm a regular customer, so I was genuinely surprised and disappointed by how poorly everything was handled. I hope this was just an off night, but this experience definitely made me question returning.

I first heard about Vanilla Rice's Hibachi House through my boot camp gym, where the owner, Zach "Vanilla Rice" Tolen, was in one of my boot camp classes just recently. This place is located on Flamingo and Pecos, in an older side of Las Vegas that I usually don't frequent as much, unless I'm visiting my family friend and her son, who live literally right around the corner from here. Please keep in mind that this is a to-go place ONLY - there are absolutely no dine-in options here. My boyfriend went inside to go get the food and he told me when he got back out to the car that there was only one chair inside. I could already tell that the food was going to be yummy because I could smell their hibachi from the car. We placed an order through DoorDash prior to heading out. We ordered a side of potstickers with a drizzle of yum yum sauce, a steak bowl, and a chicken burrito. DoorDash told us that it would be ready in about 15-20 minutes, with the drive there taking about 20 minutes. Our order was not exactly ready when we got there, in which we waited an additional 10-15 minutes. The potstickers were really good, but I felt that the yum yum sauce was a bit on the sweet side. The chicken burrito had a mix of rice and noodles inside, including a variety of vegetables. I ended up nicknaming it the "Chinese Burrito" due to its' ingredients. I was really enjoying my burrito...until I came towards the end of it. Some of the noodles at the bottom were dry/not cooked all the way through and I came really close to chipping a tooth as a result. Luckily I didn't. My boyfriend enjoyed his steak bowl, which basically had the same ingredients as my burrito, except he had steak and not chicken. He said that he had some dry noodles towards the end of his bowl as well. It was also expensive compared to the quality of the food we received, so my final star rating here is a 3. I would've given it a 4 if it weren't for the dry noodles. Sorry Vanilla Rice. :(

Thanks you an amazing night at the Dailey engagement party. We had an amazing time! So much laughter and great jokes. Food was very flavorful and delicious! It's a win/win what an absolute experience. If you don't book him you're missing out.

Our chef, Kelvin, was entertaining from start to finish and kept everyone laughing while putting on a fun show. The food was delicious, and everything was cooked perfectly. My medium rare steak came out exactly the way I ordered it. The garlic butter was so good that I asked for more, and Kelvin was kind enough to make me an extra batch because I couldn't get enough of it. That definitely made my night. One thing to note: the floors can be a little slippery from all the buttery goodness flying around on the grill, so maybe don't test your ice skating skills on the way out. The only comment I would suggest on, which many restaurants struggle with, is that the water service for refills was slow. I do not know if this was out of courtesy to not be a distraction to the performance or interrupt our conversation, but I would prefer that as opposed to being dehydrated. :) Maybe also consider offering a pitcher of water if that is easier rather than monitoring the water glasses more closely and/or interrupting/distracting from something. Other than that, everything was lovely. The sushi bar looked pretty awesome. Maybe I will try that next time!

It is pricey for what the food is, but the atmosphere / views outside are spectacular. The first time I went here was with a couple friends and we ordered a bit of everything from various sections of the menu. We loved the raw items. So tasty and flavorful, especially their various contemporary sashimi. Their green chili yellowtail carpaccio had chili lime sauce, avocado purée, and crispy white konbu and yum. Their Japanese madai sashimi was Japanese snapper with salmon roe, watermelon radish, shio konbu, sesame, white shoyu lime dressing, and it was so tasty and beautiful. Their sashimi plate was gorgeous as well and the majority of the variety we received were tasty. We also had their Wagyu gyoza dumpling and spicy tuna crispy rice. Both of those were good, with the dumplings being a bit disappointing, but we preferred the raw items. We also tried their truffle creamy crab croquette and it was pretty juicy with some good flavors. We ordered some robatayaki as well, and most of those were pretty good, but not as memorable as their raw items. The next few times I went, I went by myself and sat at the bar. It was nice to sit there without a reservation. I tried their aburi sushi, both their seared salmon ad seared yellowtail. I couldn't decide between the 2 so I got both. So so good, but the salmon one was my fave. I also got their Wagyu beef and lobster roll and that was a bit disappointing.. it was just OK. The chef's choice sushi moriawase with 11 premium selections of nigiri was a great variety plate. Beautifully presented as well. Had some other rolls, but they weren't too memorable. Another time I went with a friend and the view was so amazing! We were celebrating our Vegas friendship anniversary, and our first server got note of that, but somehow our server was switched and then nothing LOL. Food was good though. We got their F1 Wagyu stiploin and that steak was tasty and tender. The potato was so beautiful and delicious. We also got a roll with scallops and it was wrapped in green soy paper. Tasted and looked very... healthy. We got their oysters and their chutoro sashimi with caviar... so delicious and def spent too much money on that hahaha. Their Chawanmushi was tasty too. We loved our view and watching a hummingbird and a lot of koi. For dessert, we tried a black sesame one and that was really good. Nice presentation too. I forgot which dessert we tried the first time, but I remembered really enjoying the black sesame. I've tried probably about 10 different mixed drinks from Mizumi and none of them disappointed.

Inside they have traditional tables, they also have booths by the revolving sushi, and they also have a bar with bar seating. We came in at lunch time and were sat in the revolving sushi area. Someone took our beverage order. But after that the rest is up to you. We took mostly plates from the revolving sushi. The biggest problem we had was that the descriptions lacked the ingredients of the dish. So you had to look them up on the computer screen to figure out what was in the rolls. We found out that not all but many of the rolls contained shellfish. Another problem was that if you didn't grab something you saw that you might want it didn't get refilled so you missed out. We tried one item from the computer screen. For this you have to use your credit card and pay. (that seemed odd) But the chicken karaage was very good. It was served to us by a robotic tray on wheels that ran above the revolving sushi belt. There was a fun factor of watching the sushi wiz by. But depending on what side of the booth you are on only one person can see the sushi coming the other person sees the sushi as it's passing by. My biggest complaint might be that none of the sushi is cold. That might bother some people. Still fun. Not the best sushi but very inexpensive for what it is.
