I'm giving it a bit of time to make sure the repair holds, but so far things seem fine. That said, I do have two concerns: Everything was done via text. The booking, estimate, and payment were all handled by text message. While that's certainly convenient, it also made the whole experience feel a bit impersonal. I'm not old, but I still value some human contact and connection with the company I'm hiring. The tipping prompt felt inappropriate. When I went to pay the invoice, there was an option to add a tip for the repair tech on top of the quoted price. I really dislike this practice. Restaurant servers depend on tips as part of their income; repair technicians should be paid an adequate salary by the company, without the customer being nudged to subsidize their pay. In short, I appreciate that Andy Duck Repair addressed the issue, but I hope they'll reconsider how they handle customer interaction and tipping in the future.

I eventually fixed the problem myself, that was not related to his advice. Turns out the built in diagnostics were misleading on this Samsung refrigerator. I just kept replacing the sensors until I found the bad one. At least he was honest and saved me a service call charge. I fixed it myself for about $100 dollars. The honesty was that he couldn't help and didn't want to waste my money. I appreciate that.

I don't know Jeff, have never met him and he has never touched one of my appliances (yet, anyway)!…read more So....how the heck can I rate him five stars?? Well, let me just tell you..... I had been having functional problems with my Whirlpool top-loading washing machine and after much frustrating research, selected a company to repair it. I gave them the make, model, etc. Well, that was a kerfuffle!! They never showed or called and made excuses the next day. They could not offer a workable appointment subsequently, and I moved on. I had read some reviews on Jeff's Appliance Services but was dubious..so I posted on Nextdoor asking for recommendations. Jeff's was one of only two I received. I called one afternoon and left a message. Jeff called back first thing the next day (he limits office hours to the mornings and does repairs in the afternoons). I explained my situation and gave him the make and model of the washer. He pretty quickly suggested that I might get the part repaired under warranty, despite the fact that my washer was almost 2 years old. He thought Whirlpool had had a significant problem with a part and was offering repair...but to make sure he said he would call me back after researching more about the issue. Sure enough, Jeff called back in about 10 minutes to verify that I could call Whirlpool with my information and they would fix it for free. He told me exactly what I needed to do. He said he could fix it for me, but he couldn't get the part for free and would have to charge me for his services! So...I followed his suggestions....and,indeed, my washing machine was repaired quickly and free of charge by Whirlpool authorized repair service!! So...Jeff has impressive knowledge about specific appliance issues, verifies accuracy and shares it honestly. Oh, yeah, he could have taken advantage of my situation and made himself some money, but he CHOSE HONESTY, TRANSPARENCY AND INTEGRITY! Those, qualities are worthy of 5 stars to me ... or more. So, while I will not enjoy having an appliance malfunction, I do look forward to meeting Jeff for the first time and thanking him in person for exemplifying true WISDOM AND INTEGRITY !!!

Back in September, I called them to fix my oven and paid $925 upfront for the full service. It has now been SIX MONTHS and the job is still not finished. They came once and only did half of the work. Then they came back two months later, and somehow managed to order the WRONG part. Since December, I have been waiting for them to come back and complete the repair. Every single time I call, there is a new excuse. No accountability, no urgency, and absolutely no respect for my time. On top of that, their customer service is awful. The staff is rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. The last time I called, I asked to cancel the service and get my money back since I already paid in full for a job they never completed. I was told I could cancel, but they would NOT refund me. That is unacceptable. I even asked for a clear date to finish the repair, and they refused to provide one. This has been extremely frustrating and stressful. Paying $925 for incomplete service and being treated this way is beyond disappointing. Save yourself the headache and go with a company that actually values its customers.
