I don't know Jeff, have never met him and he has never touched one of my appliances (yet, anyway)! So....how the heck can I rate him five stars?? Well, let me just tell you..... I had been having functional problems with my Whirlpool top-loading washing machine and after much frustrating research, selected a company to repair it. I gave them the make, model, etc. Well, that was a kerfuffle!! They never showed or called and made excuses the next day. They could not offer a workable appointment subsequently, and I moved on. I had read some reviews on Jeff's Appliance Services but was dubious..so I posted on Nextdoor asking for recommendations. Jeff's was one of only two I received. I called one afternoon and left a message. Jeff called back first thing the next day (he limits office hours to the mornings and does repairs in the afternoons). I explained my situation and gave him the make and model of the washer. He pretty quickly suggested that I might get the part repaired under warranty, despite the fact that my washer was almost 2 years old. He thought Whirlpool had had a significant problem with a part and was offering repair...but to make sure he said he would call me back after researching more about the issue. Sure enough, Jeff called back in about 10 minutes to verify that I could call Whirlpool with my information and they would fix it for free. He told me exactly what I needed to do. He said he could fix it for me, but he couldn't get the part for free and would have to charge me for his services! So...I followed his suggestions....and,indeed, my washing machine was repaired quickly and free of charge by Whirlpool authorized repair service!! So...Jeff has impressive knowledge about specific appliance issues, verifies accuracy and shares it honestly. Oh, yeah, he could have taken advantage of my situation and made himself some money, but he CHOSE HONESTY, TRANSPARENCY AND INTEGRITY! Those, qualities are worthy of 5 stars to me ... or more. So, while I will not enjoy having an appliance malfunction, I do look forward to meeting Jeff for the first time and thanking him in person for exemplifying true WISDOM AND INTEGRITY !!! read more

Just got service from Jeff's for a 50+ year old Hardwick gas oven that stopped heating in the middle of baking. Jeff arrived exactly on schedule, quickly diagnosed the problem, and amazingly had the correct replacement part on his truck! Service was completed quickly with no mess, and price was exceedingly fair. Highly recommend Jeff's for servicing household appliances. Jeff is amazing. His prices are significantly cheaper than the competition both for diagnostics and repair time. He also appears to charge actual price for parts instead of marking them up. He's also fast, honest and nice. He just fixed my refrigerator and the diagnostic, labor and part combined cost me just above what another company wanted for only a diagnostic call. Thanks Jeff! I'll definitely be calling next time I need any appliance fixed. Know that scheduling with Jeff can include a little phone tag because he seems to spend all morning on the phone with clients (creating a busy signal) and all afternoon making house calls. We 've tried Sears and Bettar Appliances over the last 10 yrs. Found Jeff to be a top-performing one-man band. You call & leave him a message about your fridge (Kenmore) He calls you back next morning. Sets the appointment. Analyzes the ice-maker problem , ordered the Kenmore part & came back & quickly fixed it several days later. The rate Jeff charges is very fair & reflects the lack of National advertising & overhead (Sears) and not the "Gotcha!" that I received in service by Bettar. Jeff also fixed my oven temperature panel by the only way: replacing it. Next: I had him tackle my dryer that had become noisier & noisier over the years. A very inexpensive fix for a 14 yr old Kenmore. Jeff was very familiar with the inside gears & rubbery band. BTW: Jeff is unlike the entire service world: he is an On-Time guy! read more

So unprofessional: Dishwasher with an error code. Technician arrives 4 hours later than promised, fixes a plugged drain, leaves with $115 and never tested if it worked. We try a load a day later, new error code. Technician tells us the computer is faulty and to replace the machine. Samsung support explains error code, we pull the machine and fix problem. It works fine. After a day back and forth with Jeff's via Messenger, no apologies, no manager phone call, only a call from technician explaining how I can fix the original problem in the future. Excuse me, but how do you stay in business? Thank goodness we had the capability to fix it ourselves and will ensure we never deal with these people again. read more

Jeff arrived as schefuled. Did some troubleshooting on our dryer that failed to heat. Discovered that we were the problem and charged us nominal for his time. Honest guy. Would def call on him again. read more
