I really like Vasso. She did a great job on my skin. I had a really embarrassing cystic pimple that kept getting bigger and was hurting really bad. Vasso got it to start going down without having to do a cortisone shot. So far it is almost gone. She explained to me it would take a while to heal so I am being patient. It was there for a week and a half prior and was only getting bigger. It is finally going down. I was so happy with her I brought my daughter back the next day to get a facial for teen acne. Visited Vasso today for a 90 minute facial, a deal I found on Groupon. Had a great skin care consult and then a relaxing facial. My skin feels great. We discussed products and the unlikeliness of me sticking to a multi-product regimen. Vasso made some low-maintenance suggestions and provided some samples. No pressure to purchase products but I researched the Environ line that she uses- great products. Scheduled another appointment in 3 weeks- looking forward to it. read more

Vasso is a pro. She is very careful and diligent from having you take your shoes off outside, she wears gloves, mask, outer garment, goggles and sprays/disinfects everything she touches. She just renovated the place and it is very clean and immaculate. You have to wear a mask, keep the bags/purse in the car and just bring your checkbook! I have been going to Vasso for over a year, she has worked wonders on my adult cystic acne that came On suddenly and left me so embarrassed. I use her products and find them to be top of the line. I see her very consistently because of my problematic skin and she gives me a great deal on the facials as I buy a "series" of 4 or more at a time-- otherwise I'm not sure I could afford so much skincare. Do not go get a facial at Vasso!!!! All she does is wash your face and pat it down with a sponge. I've gotten facials before and this honestly was one of the worst facials I've ever gotten in my life. She squeezed my pimples so hard & did not leave my face feeling healthy. She kept talking about her products and when I would talk to her about my products from Sephora she would say she didn't know anything about them but her products were good. Very disappointing with her service because I came home with a nose full of black heads. I did get the groupon and it was the worst 72 dollars I could have ever spent on myself after her service! I've been going to Vasso for almost 10 years. B.c. I traveled a lot and every time I would visit friends or family they would comment on how nice my skin is! And it's even improved in the past 3 years as I've been paying special attention to the dark spots I had formerly on my neck. Now they have diminished and a few more months should I use several of the Jan Marini, Image and Environ products she sells. All have been really good and high quality. I have sensitive skin and used to have adult acne. I highly recommend the basic facial, combined with a Vitamin C peel and seaweed mask at the end. Amazing. The most expensive and worst Brazilian Was i have ever had. No place for you to change, instead you are told to take you clothes off right there. Does not know the concept of stretching skin before pulling the wax out, so you suffer pain twice because the first pull does not work. Also I had purchased the voucher on Groupon for a Brazilian thinking the person knew what she was doing. WRONG! Came home and showered just to find left over hair yet to be waxed. 45 dollars?! I love Vasso with all my heart. Over the past two years I developed severe embarrassing adult acne. My went to a few doctors but they just threw different creams at me and never gave me any true direction. Feeling frustrated I went to vasso because a friend recommended it. I was very skeptical, but the owner was very nice, calming and very informative. We sat down and discussed the products I used and my typical skin then she got the room ready and gave me a facial. What I liked most about my first experience was that she explained every product that she used but I never felt like she was selling me anything or pressuring me to buy anything. She gave me some samples and recommendations and told me to wait a week and if I liked the products and was happy with my results to contact her. I was very disappointed in my experience at Vasso. In fact, I was so disappointed that I joined Yelp for the sole purpose of posting about it. Unlike most of the other reviewers, I found her manner to beaggressive and borerline insulting. To her credit, she seemed knowledgeable and passionate enough about skincare that I assumed she knew what she was doing. Unfortunately, it was also the worst facial I have ever received; it was actually stressful and my face was dryer afterwards than when I went in. Within hours of leaving, I needed to reapply my own moisturizer whereas other facials have left me literally glowing and feeling soft and supple for at least a week. In addition to moisturizing my skin, I was hoping for a relaxing, pleasant spa experience to pamper myself. Unfortunately, throughout the facial, she chastized me by making comments about how incredibly dry my skin was for a woman of my age (mind you, she didn't actually know how old I was) and basically tried to scare me into buying her expensive products. She actually said that over the counter creams could not overcome my dryness and that I would need to use her *expensive* products for at least 6 months to overcome what I have done to my skin or I would experience early aging. Really? I have actually gotten a lot of compliments on my skin, even from skin professionals. (Also, within the last year, I was carded going to an R rated movie, so someone thought I looked like a high school kid... so I don't really think I am in danger of looking line a prune any time soon.) Next, she asked me if I had freckles as a kid, and I said yes, in fact, I still have them and they really pop out in the summer. Her follow up to that was that I needed some sort of treatment to remove the spots all over my face (!!!!). (Umm, no thanks, I actually like my freckles.) Then she accused me of popping pimples on my chin and causing scarring. I NEVER pop my pimples; I have fair, sensitive skin. Essentially, her strategy for getting repeat business or selling her products seems to be making her clients feel bad about themselves. The only positive was that she did give me some free samples and shared the active ingredients in the products that would be beneficial to my skin. read more

Vasso does fantastic facials and is a warm, wonderful person to boot. She's helped tame my rosacea and although her services are not inexpensive, IMO you get what you pay for. I buy all my facial products from her as well, and she's always happy to give me a sample to take home before I risk spending money on something I may not like. If you're looking for a day spa environment with cucumber water and robes, this is not the place. If you're looking for a relaxing experience with customized service that produces results, you can't go wrong with Vasso. read more

She takes time to make sure you get the best treatment and provides you with samples and recommendations to get your own skin care routine right. Vasso gave me a facial well under 50 minutes (rather than the full hour), barely doing any extraction on my face. I was 8 minutes late, but then she kept talking with a long-term customer for another 10-15 minutes. When she asked about my skincare products, I told her that I usually made purchases from Whole Foods, not because I didn't respect clinical products but for cost reasons... The mood shifted, she worked quickly, and didn't give me any samples afterwards, as the others say. I think Vasso gives differential treatment to customers who buy her clinical skincare products. read more

I started seeing Vasso a few years ago. I had acne and some scarring and she helped me to get rid of the acne and scarring with products that were natural and not harmful to my skin. I discovered Vasso maybe 10 years ago, and so glad I did. At that time, my skin was in total disarray: clogged, blotchy, dry, spotty. For years, I incessantly stared into the mirror, picked and prodded in hopes my skin would miraculously improve. There were days I didn't want to leave the house, my skin was so bad. I tried every product in a regular Walgreens and nothing worked. I started with more upscale products (like Clinique, etc.) and they didn't make any difference either. I tried a number of different salons for facials, but they often left me looking and feeling worse than when I had come. Finally, I stumbled over Vasso and decided I would give a facial one last try. I admit, I wasn't too hopeful. However, she knew how to listen, examine and assess what I needed from the start. We started me on a regimen of products and regular facials. I could write and write about the kind of services and attention Vasso provided for my individual needs throughout the years, but the final result is that my skin improved to the point that I get constant compliments on how it looks and I almost never feel the need to examine my face in the mirror for imperfections. I leave the house without makeup 90 percent of the time and feel beautiful. My skin is just the last of my worries, and it makes me so happy. During the years, I would occasionally lapse and try out other estheticians, but I always return to Vasso. She just does it best. She is a true professional and I feel I can fully trust her opinion and recommendations. She is open to hearing real feedback and making adjustments.
