I cannot say enough good things about Shannon and her business, Noel Herbal Skincare. I had my first facial with her over the summer and it was by far one of the most relaxing and effective facials I've ever had. As a person, Shannon is a true professional and is an expert when it comes to skincare and using natural products to promote wellness. She has such a gentle, calming spirit, and you feel at ease as soon as you are in her presence. When I visited Shannon, I received the Moon Facial, which was very restorative and left my skin feeling beautiful. It involves extractions and steam, but in the most gentle way possible. I'm personally pretty sensitive to steam, so I asked Shannon if it could be lowered and she immediately took care of it and was great about checking in during the whole process to make sure I was comfortable. The products she used didn't irritate my skin at all and really made a difference. My mom has also visited Shannon for facials many times, and tells me that her "happy place" is being at Noel Herbal Skincare, receiving the most amazing facial. I completely agree. WOW!! First the space. It is beautiful. You instantly feel at peace when you walk through the door. It is so bright and cozy. I did the 90 minute facial and it was worth it. All the products felt so good on my skin. When masks were sitting on my face Shannon did neck, shoulder and arm massages. I used the restroom when I was done and I was shocked when I looked in the mirror. My skin looked so healthy. A few months ago I did a hydro facial and my skin did not look like this when I left. I am so grateful I found Shannon and Noel Herbal Skincare! I had been commuting into Boston just to get a facial and found myself buying products and services that did nothing to improve my skin in a lasting way. Shannon is fantastic. I've been going to her regularly for a few months now for waxing services and I have no complaints. It had been years since I'd gone for a wax and I was ready to try ditching my razor once again. When I found the salon online, I read about her all natural products and attention to natural skincare and felt it was a great option in comparison to many other local waxing salons. Previously, I've always had irritation and just general discomfort following a wax. I have really sensitive and dry skin and it never reacts well. But the products that Shannon uses are extremely gentle and soothing. She gives great recommendations for skin care and is so attentive to the quality of the products she stocks for her services and for sale in the shop. It's really awesome to be going to a salon that really values local and natural products and creators. Shannon is so sweet and down to earth, and makes sure the salon's atmosphere is always inviting and calm with cups of tea and a relaxing vibe. I don't plan on switching things up any time soon. I've never had a facial before so I didn't know what to expect. I thought it would be just a quick application of a mask and wash' but I was wrong!! First of all, the products she uses are so gentle and her massage techniques are so relaxing. It wasn't quick at all, she took her time. You can tell she really has a passion for skincare. There were several steps and products used I didn't want it to end. As a mom of 4 and one on the way, this was the most relaxing and stress reducing experience I've ever had. And it didn't end on the face only! There was massage of the shoulders, neck, arms, and hands. I was able to fall into a deep relaxed state. After tge facial she removed black heads and i got my eyebrows waxed. When she was finished I didn't want to get up! I've been missing out on this personal care experience and I can't wait to go back! I felt like I was glowing when I walked outside. In addition to the facial I had a Brazilian wax. I've been to a salon and had a Brazilian wax by a Brazilian woman and her technique was fast but that left me red and sore. Shannon has a homemade wax brought in that pulls off so easily. The most sensitive parts I hardly flinched. I was amazed that it could be so forgiving and gentle. I'd lend some of the reduced pain to her technique and mindfulness of her products and clients needs. Overall, I'm beyond satisfied with my experience at Noel Herbal Skincare and would highly recommend Shannon to anyone who needs a rejuvenating skin experience. read more

I was very lucky to find Shannon's beauty space. I've been looking for a year and have tried different beauticians but Shannon is by far the best. I had a Brazilian wax with her and apart from being utterly personable and inviting, which made me feel very comfortable, she was very gentle during the process and she uses a great quality of wax. Before I even realize it we were done. It was easy and painless. Her little space is made with love and once you step in you feel all the good vibes. Can I give ten stars please? Background: I used to live in San Diego, land of plenty for skincare and beauty. I found the absolute dream aesthetitian there, and was so sad to leave her when I moved east I didn't even try to find anyone here. I want holistic, thorough and effective skincare with clean products (don't ask much!) And I found this nowhere in Boston! I bounced around with Groupons and followed yelp reviews, and four years later I found Noel. My skin is 35 years old, dried out from our winters, and sensitive. Then Noel worked her magic! My first facial! It certainly won't be my last. First off, what a beautiful space. Shannon was super welcoming from the moment we walked in and you know you are being incredibly well taken care of. I got the morning tea facial and extraction and it was so comfortable the whole time, even during the extraction.
