Josie is the bomb! I had had two really bad haircuts prior to coming here and was very anxious about getting my haircut again. I have long hair and not asking for a fancy stylish cut. I finally made an appointment after seeing the reviews on Yelp and am still surprised I had the nerves to show up. Josie was so welcoming and understanding when I told her why I was shaking and near tears and scared to have my hair touched again. She listened to my previous experience, asked lots of questions about what style I wanted and acknowledged that it was going to take months for my hair to grow out enough for the very uneven and short layers that had been done to be gone. I told her to please just let me have enough hair to be able to wear a respectable ponytail. So, I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and said let's do what we have to do. She did a great job! She was able to let me keep a lot of my length and an easy style that hid most of the damaging cuts. I left with tears of joy in my eyes and another appointment for 8 weeks later. Last night was my second appointment, and again I told Josie I was still anxious and she told me she was shocked how fast my hair grew and how thick it had become. I was beaming! Again, she told me we're getting closer to the bad layers being gone and we talked about a simple style to accommodate hiding them again, she did a fabulous job. She only had to take about a 1/2 inch off of my length and I have a cut I can style in a few different ways. She assured me by my next visit the bad layers will be grown out enough we can completely fix my hair. I highly recommend Josie. She's sweet, fun to talk with, and I can't wait to go back in another 8 weeks! read more

In all honesty the owner of the salon and I played phone tag a few times before we connected. She then offered to do my hair again for me, on her for a certain appointment only, after that I would be paying. Okay, I will accept. Get there for my appointment and she has a helper, not a problem. She is super quick with doing my hair; again, not a problem, for who wants to spend all day at a salon when you have things to do. Here's my kicker..... I go to pay and the girl at the front, with the owner right there, charges me full price with no discount. I even ask, that is my total today, even with my discount. "Yep, you want to schedule an appointment for future?" No, no thank you! Get half way home and my phone rings from the salon. "I am sorry, I over charged you and I am refunding your card x amount of dollars " service was wwaaaaayyy better, however dropping the ball on how much I owe from this appointment to my last sh**** appointment, not okay with me. She got back to me right away and got me in the very next day!! Customer service at this salon was amazing from the moment I walked in, it is extremely clean and very upscale looking, yet with reasonable prices. This review has been a long time coming. I've been here 4x now to get my hair done. The first stylist I saw did an ok job but it was just a cut so I went back when my color was due. Every time I go into the salon I bring a picture of exactly what I want so that there is zero confusion. I brought in my picture and the stylist (wish I could remember her name, it's been 3 yrs, but she's still there) and showed her exactly the color I wanted. I wanted a balayage and came in with my natural color root (dirty blondish) and a previous balayage already in my hair which was a dirty blonde. I wanted to go lighter and more of a cool blonde but keep the balayage look. She said no problem. I came out as a platinum blonde basically with a yellow/ orange base. It took her 3 hrs to do my hair and I was her last client of the day. I thought maybe it was the lighting in the salon but when I got home it was just a really bad color job. I called the salon the next day and asked the receptionist if she could get me in ASAP with the stylist to correct it and she asked the stylist and she said it was her days off the next two days so I could come in the following week. I say, "No way. I'm not waiting a week walking around with this hair. I have work I have to go to." The receptionist said she will try and find a solution and will call me back. She called me back and said Tabitha could see me. (1 STAR FOR SALON) - good customer service on the salon's part. I went in and saw Tabitha and she added a toner to my base and did some type of blending to make it look like a natural balayage. I liked it. Came in a second time and saw Tabitha and she did another balayage and I liked it. (ANOTHER STAR) This last time I came in though I did not have a good experience or like how my hair color turned out. This time a lot of my base had grown out due to taking longer in between appts. I showed her exactly what I wanted and she said no problem. I wanted a lighted balayage. I came out with unblended golden yellow base tone (which i said i did not want any golden, honey, champagne type of blonde, i wanted cool/ashy). As soon as she took a blow dryer to my hair and knew I hated the color. I told her it wasn't what I wanted or what the picture looked like and she told me it's the lighting in the salon and to check it out when I went home and tried to push the purple shampoo to get me out the door - which I knew wasn't going to make a difference which I told her that and it wasn't the shade at all I was going for. She told me she has another client and I can come back at the next appt and add more blonde and retouch the toner or if I absolutely hated it when I got home then I could call the salon and they'd figure something out. That bugged me big time- I paid almost $300 for a hair color that I hated and completely was not what I asked for and I knew that while I was there and she didn't fix it. I text her the next day after my appt telling her I'm super unhappy with the color and she said ok come back in on Tuesday. Which pissed me off even more because I had to go the whole weekend -on a trip- with brassy, yellow, unblinded hair. I came back in it still wasn't what I wanted when she "corrected" it and I left unhappy again with some purple shampoo that doesn't even work. Now the toner is even more washed out due to washing my hair since then and now and I still don't like my color. It's not what I asked for. That's 2 stylists at this salon that I've come in with a picture of exactly what I want and left as an unhappy client. These spots aren't cheap. I will not be coming back to this salon. Everyone is nice enough and the salon is decorated cute and looks like a high-end salon and charges like a high-end salon but the stylists I worked with did not seem to know how to master the balayage style or blending them with the root/base to look like a professional stylist did my hair. A client should never have to rely heavily on a purple shampoo to get the time they want, especially right after their salon appt. Tabitha told me to use it every time I wash and that will try and give me more of the blonde I'm looking for. Um no, that's not how it's supposed to work. So frustrating and a waste of my money and time having to go back a second time. read more
