I debated on two stars...We went here for dinner last night and it was terrible. The food was over cooked, wait staff was unfriendly. We have been here several times and this is by far the worst experience we have ever had. The nicest person there was the young man who cleared our table. The hostess had her feet up on the podium and was kicked back on her phone when we were leaving. It was almost as if we were a total inconvenience to them by going there for dinner. This is a fairly expensive place and we drove 45 minutes for dinner and to spend $125+ for dinner and to be treated like this is unacceptable. I called today and asked to speak with the manager and of course there was no one available to speak to. I left a message but doubt that I will hear back from anyone. read more

We have been dining here for a few years and have never had a single bad experience. VB has something for everyone, it is great for vegans and carnivores alike and a great venue for any occasion. The salad bar has a good variety of greens, veggies, and dressings as well as seafood, charcuterie, cheeses and hot items. The "meat parade" is the crown jewel of the dining experience. The gauchos cook every cut to perfection per your request, from rare to well done. The spicy picanha (my favorite!) is to die for, the lamb and chicken are juicy and tender, the filet mignon is fork tender, and the best part is that the gauchos always have smiles on their faces and are very attentive, courteous and responsive to their customers needs. I hate to give a less than stellar review for VB Steakhouse because I have been to their location in Irving (Vila Brazil) many times and they were fairly priced according to the level of experience. I expected the experience to be better at this location considering the fact that they now have a much larger restaurant, and would not have minded paying a higher price henceforth. But to my surprise, the experience was even less than that of what you would receive at the Irving location. The salad bar actually had less to offer than the Irving location, especially in the category of hot foods, and a lot of the meats they would typically bring around in Irving (including most of my favorite ones) never showed up at my table. Several of the same cuts of meat were brought over repeatedly and declined because I had already had enough of it. Some of it was very good, but some was barely warm, the polenta and some of the cheeses (Gouda, Parm) were almost tasteless and stale. The fried bananas and cheese bread must have been good, as my daughters scoffed down a lot of them. The lemonade was not as good as Irving. After about an hour the waiter asked if I wanted something specific and I asked about the chicken leg. Eventually, he brought out some chicken thigh, but it was nowhere near as good as the chicken leg I was expecting like the ones they serve in Irving. We were there for well over an hour with the green side of our request cards facing up. None of this would even be worth mentioning, except at the end of my meal I was presented with a bill comparable to Fogo De Chao for an experience that was only a fraction of what you would actually get at Fogo, and not even as good as the Irving location where I would get a larger variety of choices for much less money. I asked the waiter why I was being charged so much and at that time he indicated that it was because I ordered the "full dinner". This is where things became awkward, because when we were initially seated he asked if we had eaten there before, and I stated that we had only eaten at their Irving location. He then asked if we wanted the "full dinner". It should be noted at both locations you are asked if you want a "full dinner". However, I was unaware that "full dinner" at this location meant something different than "full dinner" at the other location. Based on the fact we had only been to the other location, the difference should have been explained to us. But, alas, we were not presented with any prices or menu or explanation. I assumed a "full dinner" was the same as Vila Brazil in Irving. Allow me to explain the difference for you: At their Irving location, "full dinner" means a full meat dinner as opposed to just salad bar. It may sound surprising, but it is true. At VB Steakhouse, apparently "full dinner" means "Do you want to pay $20 extra per person on top of the usual charge for certain cuts of meat that would be included at the regular price at Vila Brazil in Irving?" So, unknowingly, I accepted the "full dinner". And, in all honesty, this would have been fine if they actually had given us what we paid for. They claim the $20.00 extra gets you 16 cuts of meat compared to 8 or 9. However, never once did anyone come over with filet mignon, chicken breast/leg, sausage, top sirloin or lamb/pork chop, and probably a few more of the items that should have been included whether or not we paid extra. When I explained to the waiter of the above, he had the manager come over and tell me that the waiter told him that our cards were on the red side when he came around with those other meats - which is a lie. My card was on the green side until I paid the check and if I saw someone walking around with any of the above mentioned cuts of meat I would have flagged him down. He also said that the new pricing method brings in more customers. I find it really hard to believe that charging prices comparable to Fogo De Chao with no valet parking, such a small salad bar and so few employees walking around with meat garners more business. He ultimately agreed to reduce the price of the adult dinners, but he did not reduce the price of the childs dinner. Since we did get a few cuts (out of 16) of the meats advertised at the higher price level, I did not press for a further discount. However, I will not be back as I do not believe the pricing model at this restaurant even remotely matches the quality of the experience. They need to step up their game if they want to compare to Fogo. read more

I would give this place more stars but I am only allowed 5. We have been here many times and we are never disappointed. Yesterday, for my husband's birthday, we decided to celebrate here. Just an FYI, this restaurant does not open for dinner until 5 p.m. As soon as we entered, we were warmly greeted and seated. The salad bar is just awesome!!! It is why I love this place. My husband loves the unlimited amount of the all you can eat meats. The selection ranges from beef, pork, lamb, sausages, and tbh I can't tell you all the different kind of meat because I always fill up quickly. Stuffed to the gills and it is all exceptionally prepared, presented, and served. It is the complete dinning experience we wish all restaurants would abide by. Our visit last night was probably one of the best thus far. A young gentleman, named Ryan, ( I believe was his name), provided us extraordinary attention. He was Johnny-on-the-spot as was the entire serving team. He suggested one of their "sweet" beers. It was awesome. Thank you for that, dear sir. As we were leaving he informed us he was the manager of the location. He is an awesome manager. Great personality and customer eccentric. Great job and I look forward to visiting this place again. So this was in a great location close to the convention center and I have allergies to gluten and my body can't process sugar so I don't eat it. The manager Carlo was incredible, I called ahead of time to make sure they had things I could eat as you would be surprised at how much gluten or sugar is added into the marinades or seasonings used by many restaurants. Well this restaurant was amazing as they had like 16 different types of meat and there was only one of the meats I couldn't have. Carlo said "when you arrive tonight I will personally take a you around our salad/food bar and tell you what things have or have not got sugar and gluten so you clearly know what is available to you. On a day that my family and I were looking for a slight change from the big boys in town when it comes to Brazilian steakhouses, we happened upon VB Steakhouse. Their lunch time hours are until 2 PM and we arrived at 1 PM. On the tail end, but still a good hour to enjoy what they had to offer. First of all, the food is ok. Yup, just ok. The most average steakhouses could turn out exactly the same product all day long. Meat is meat. The problem we had was in the service. Maybe it was because we were on the tail end of the lunch stretch, but the wait staff seemed utterly disinterested in our presence. This was a weekday, so there were only two other groups at the restaurant when we arrived. Both of which, completed their dining at around 1:30. During our time there, we were told that 15 different choices of meat were offered for lunch. Only after asking for clarification did a few more than 9 selections even show to the table. The final number was about 10 or 11 choices offered, but not near the 15 advertised. The server that we started with, along with nearly all of the rest of the wait staff, began having their own lunch starting around 1:30. I begrudge no one a lunch break, but it was obvious that service to the remaining guests was second to this. There were a number of times that I actually had to go looking for a server for refills on food and waters. Most Brazilian steakhouses that I have been to offer a choice of meat temperature and ask about preferences in selection to bring a little more often. Again, a fail at this as well. My son and I prefer our meat very rare and my wife and daughter prefer medium to medium well for theirs. The most that was done to accommodate the difference in taste was to spin the skewer around and take from another location on said skewer. A good theory, but when dealing with such a wide range of temperature, what happened most often is the ladies getting meat that was underdone for their taste. I, as I often do, checked here to see what people had to say about this establishment prior to going. The high ratings were probably by people who visited on the weekends and at the beginning of lunch or dinner hours. Am I way off base to think that ANY business should perform their full service throughout the entire stated business hours? The result: Rather disappointed. Many sins can be overcome with good customer service. That is, unless the sin IS your service. read more

Service was attentive and friendly, but they also gave us the right amount of privacy (without me even having to ask!) so we could talk shop. For the price overall it was not worth it for us. I know a little small place in irving, not the best area but the food is much better and only $20 bucks per person. I probably would have tipped higher but if that's all they thought they were worth, so be it. This place is a great addition in arlington! The meat and salad bar was all plentiful and tasty. Service was attentive and they were ready with meat when we were.
