The service here is great. The fries are crispy and delicious. I ordered the frito burrito and my dad got the cheezy "chicken" sandwich! The burrito was amazing. I suggest everyone go and get it! They make their own pickled onions and they blew me away. The chicken sandwich was also good, but the cheezy sauce didn't blow us away. I still think worth getting but maybe just the traditional sand which. I got a cherry lemonade and it was refreshing and delicious We also got a couple of cookies. They were soft and tasty. The name of this place says it all, I didn't have to think twice about coming here being a vegan and always looking out for good vegan food. I ordered the Srirancha style double patty with veggie patty and Chick-n patty (soy) combined along with a peanut butter cookie. The burger modest size, would've liked it to be bigger in portion, but what it lacked in diameter, it sorta made up for it in stack, I have to admit it was delicious. Scrumptious, flavorful and decent amount. I like how they included napkins and a Fresh Nap moist towelette, it reminds me of mom packing my lunch, nice reminiscent touch of care. They had a vegan peanut butter cookie which was my taste of bliss! (I hoped they didn't have canola or GMO ingredients in any of their food other than the Beyond Burger and Sausages) The service here was very pleasant and the girl on the phone and the window was very patient with answering my questions and being helpful and courteous. Traveling through and craving something spiced & not heavy. This caught my eye on Maps and we had to stop. We ordered the spicy breakfast burrito with brisket and the Fire loaded fries. Amazing vegan spot even my meat eating family enjoyed. Half of my family went to go get Conrad's and after trying this spot they agreed VEG-N tasted and felt better. I quote my cousin "I can keep eating this, it doesn't even feel greasy at all!" I got the following: CK-N Griddle burrito - one of my favorites that I got here, it was so good. Only thing I'd say is to make the egg flavor more pronounce. Besides that, I can eat this several times a week lol Cheezy Chick-N - Got two of these, it was delicious. JALA-JALA Chick-N - This was also one of my favorite, this thing SLAPS!! It all goes so well together. Coney Carrot Dog - My meat eating cousins were in disbelief when it came to our table, before they were cracking up of the idea of a carrot hotdog, surely they were all shocked how good it was. Crinkle fries - not much to say, just fries. They come quite plain so be sure to ask for some salt. My cousin got: Crunchy Frito Burrito - He said it was amazing, reminded him of his childhood so that's a win. Crispy Chick-N - He said it was good, but also noted that he wish there was mayo in there. Cinno/choco roll - We all tried this one and we wasn't really enthusiastic about it Oreo Donut Bites - everyone loved this one, this was def a home run. Conclusion and things you should know: The menu and pricing pics on yelp is outdated. To my surprise the prices have become cheaper! I will post pics below. The wait is about 15ish minutes so just keep that in mind. Overall, this hit the spot for us. The workers there are very nice and understanding. The menu is exciting and so many things I cant wait to try next time. We all loved the price and how affordable it is and not one of those vegan restaurants that try to get an arm and leg from you. I received my veg-ie double stack, plain chips, and she added two vegan chocolate chip cookies. I will be back. March 16, 2021: I still like this place, mostly because it's the closest vegan spot in town and it's good. I will visit again--eventually--because I am pleased with the customer satisfaction. So with my second visit, I ordered a rueben veg-ie (supposed to have double patty) with chips. I waited 34 minutes and once I got to my destination, found out that my order was incorrect. I was definitely not happy because 34 minutes for a veggie burger--that barely requires any cooking--is ridiculous. Also, I paid $16 and had a prior engagement to which this caused me to be late. This is a new to me place in Old Town Lansing, but outside of the main business district, at least for now. It's easy to miss if you aren't looking. And I highly recommend you look for it! I'm not a vegan or strict vegetarian, but my husband and I enjoyed our sandwiches from there last night. I had the buffalo chick-n on artisan and he had a reuben coney. Both were very good! I might ask for a little more ranch dressing next time, but the level of spiciness was just right. The cookies were a tasty treat. The people running it are over the top pleasant -- just ask them anything about what you're ordering! We will return! I hope their presence spurs more development in that end of Old Town. We have been vegetarian our entire life and Lansing is severely lacking in vegan food. When I saw VEG-N's menu, the best way I could describe this establishment is of having a typical LA vegan menu (which is awesome). We ordered the Loaded Fire Fries, BBQ Honey Not-Dog, and the Cajun Black Bean Burger. The fries were truly immaculate. They were seasoned very well, with a perfect crispy exterior. All the toppings were fresh and high quality as well! The Cajun Black Bean Burger was also fantastic, the sweetness of the bread perfectly balanced out the rest of the burger. Lastly, the BBQ Honey Not-Dog was phenomenal. We have never had a hot dog substitute before but it was packed with flavor! I had my meat-eater friend taste it and he said he wouldn't have been able to tell it's a meat alternative if I didn't tell him. Also, our service was impeccable and the sweet lady at the drive thru was so helpful with giving us ideas on what to get! We were very worried eating all this oily and carby food we would feel bloated, but this place seems to use such high quality ingredients, bloating was not a problem at all. Loved this place - great service, outdoor seating at near-by picnic tables (the indoor service was closed, no problem on this beautiful late summer day) - I ordered the black bean burger "classic veg" style, vegan cheese, brioche bun. And I know I thing or two about rockin out so this song would be a smash hit. A bop. This business is a chart topping success. Let me set the scene. It was a quick work trip. Just me, the boys, and the open road. Got our motor runnin, we were out on the highway, lookin for adventure and whatever meal came our way. Well it couldn't be just any meal. It needed to be a vegan meal. Enter Veg-n. Upon arrival this building looks like it could've been an old hot dog and ice cream place owned by a dad who retired after years of working the concession stand at a ballpark. It's now a vegan restaurant. And we were grateful to have stumbled upon it. The service here is top notch. I can't stress that enough. I hadn't even eaten a bite of food and after placing an order over the phone, this place had already earned at least 2 stars. Food? Oh yeah, that's why we were here. The food was Fresh. Buns? Fresh. Veggies? Freshhhhh. Chickn patty? YUP YOU GUESSED IT FRESH. My coworker was feelin silly for some fried spuds, but there were none on the menu. In our post meal banter we all thought fries and an appetizer of wings would be a fun addition. They were out of artisan buns, but the bun was ok. I requested they add lettuce and tomato, and that worked nicely. Could have been larger, but it was only $7, so I think still a good value. Delicious! I got a buffalo chicken wrap as a sandwich as a combo and everything was fantastic. The sandwich had a nice spice to it and the fries were crispy. As a vegan, I appreciate everything was plant-based. I don't normally get sweet drinks, but the cherry lemonade was also delicious. I bet non-vegans would enjoy the food, I'll be bringing friends to get them to try it. I was impressed that the big meal was less than $15. I'm excited to get back and try more of the menu. The food is tasty but there are few healthy options and it is expensive. The delivery service is awful - only one out of the four times I had food delivered did it make it to me without any issues - once it was left outside in a snow bank somewhere never to be found again, once the driver called me 4 times before delivering to me by throwing it at me and most recently it got left outside at the wrong address after multiple phone calls. I work at a large place that gets at least 20 food deliveries a day with no problem. I'm done trying to order delivery Also it is a drive through only so I don't think tripping should be required but if you preorder without leaving a tip they will give you a credit card slip to sign (which you don't get if you leave a tip with your online payment) basically shaming you into leaving a tip read more

I visited Veg-in today with my sister in law, we were quite excited to try a local vegan place as I have been vegan for a little over 6 months and had yet to try a completely vegan restaurant. I got the Coney dog without onions, and my sister got the Ruben sausage. Both were great vegan options to American classics, neither of us were blown away by our order but definitely still impressed and glad to see Lansing expanding their vegan restaurant options. I ordered mine without onions but I still got onions on mine, not a huge deal but it wasn't the most welcomed surprise. It's our first time going and there were other combos I saw that looked really good so I'm excited to come back and try those out. We've been there twice now. The first time the experience was fine but we didn't love what we ordered, but we knew we wanted to give it another try. This time however, it was a nightmare. We waited 35 minutes after we placed the order at the drive through to receive our food. Which was then cold. We called to notify them, and they pretty much said 'yeah, we have a new guy cooking.' Ok? Thanks for sharing but I don't care. My food is cold. We moved on, ate our cold food. Until we realized they over charged our card. Again, we called. The woman chose to argue with my husband saying she did not. When it was clear on our bank statement transaction and our receipt did not say the same numbers. They did not refund us. They did not apologize. They did nothing for us. I empathize food service is incredibly short staffed. But that is no excuse for poor customer service. The food tasted good though, probably would've been great hot, or even just warm. As much as I love supporting local. We won't be back and I would not recommend this eatery to anyone. In fact, I will tell friends and family NOT to go to this establishment. read more

I discovered this wonderful little drive thru thanks to the Happy Cow App on my phone. It is located just on the edge of the old town area of Lansing, Michigan. We parked our car in thier parking area and just walked up to the drive thru window and placed our order. They have a few picnic tables outside where you can sit and enjoy your meal. The owners, Christabelle Dozeman and Jonathan Ristola were very friendly, helpful, super nice & eager to please. They are happy to make substitutions to anything on the menu.....and .....they do it with a warm smile on their faces! They make most menu items in house when you order. We tried three different kinds of sandwiches and split them so that we could each taste them. The classic hot dog was just that - only plant based so it is a lot more healthy for you. It was delicious. The Reuben hot dog was equally delicious in its own way. Loved the sauce and Sauerkraut! The Buffalo Chicken Sandwich was amazing! We loved the tangy spiciness of it, combined with the pickled onions. The sauce and combined flavors were spot on and left us wanting more! We also ordered fries because...well... you neeeeeed them when you are eating the sandwiches!!!! They were wonderfully crispy on the outside and soft & fluffy in the middle....perfect! Christabelle & Jonathan were testing some plant based cookies and gave us 4 different flavors to try. They were all good, although the peanut butter ones were a bit to crisp for my liking. Wow!! I was excited to try VEG-N the next time I traveled to Lansing. Today was that day and I had an outstanding experience. I always try to plan my meals before I arrive so there are no surprises. While I chose this as my dinner location I didn't really study the menu until I was getting ready to order. Many more options than I anticipated along with ways to customize the order. We ordered the Brisket Bowl and Fire Fries. Yes to both. The Brisket Bowl was huge and heavy with the mixed greens but loaded with Brisket and toppings. The "hunny mustard" dressing was incredible to top it off. The Fire Fries were just...FIRE! So good with just the right mix of ingredients and not overly cheezy, which normally makes loaded fries sloppy and a mushy mess). These were perfect. I did heat up both items up in the microwave for ~30 seconds since I ordered pick-up and had a little drive before it was time to eat. Finally, I ordered cinnamon rolls that we're supposed to be for breakfast the next day but couldn't help myself. 20 sec in the microwave and oh so good. Thanks for the extra cookies too. This place has a lot of heart and a lot of growth potential. They are converting from vegetarian to full on vegan which is awesome! The cookies are so good, soft and chewy. The Detroit style chili cheese fries we're legit! Not a honey mustard fan but they make a killer one. Not sure if they will change the recipe as they go full on vegan or if it already is? Its bound to stay good. I can't help feeling slighted by the Ruben. It is no where close to a Ruben. It is a dog in a bun with sauerkraut, pickles, a slice of cheese, and sauce. So call it a Rubensque Dog!? I don't think it had a single grill line on it, which adds a lot of flavor to meat alternatives. The annoying feeling wouldn't exist if the person who took my order had offered more information when I asked questions while ordering. Although, I should have inquired when she said bun. Marble rye bread and the ingredients mentioned above make a Ruben. Why not slice the dog and toss it on the grill then put it all together in a sandwich, which a Ruben is!? I'm not mad, just disappointed. Especially now with inflation. Dining out is a treat. Should have gone with my first instinct, try the brisket, which they make in house. They are working towards having more in-house made menu items. I think they will do great things in the future, and are doing good now. I'd strongly encourage anyone who's vegan or veg'curious to go enjoy some of their menu items. It seems to be packed with a lot of meatless conversions on classic drive through/bar food which is always good to throw down on. It's odd and off putting to have seen all items in-house or togo packaged togo in plastic no less. There are so many packaging alternatives, that have a lesser impact on the environment. Washing dishes isn't a ton of fun but having reusable cups, silverware and trays invest in the future well being of the planet and your business.
