My husband and I have been eating a more vegan-based diet lately and Veggie Grill makes it so easy. This all-vegan restaurant has so many delicious menu options to choose from. Everything we've tried so far has been fantastic! A few fan favorites are the Buffalo Wings (INCREDIBLE!!!), the Santa Fe Crispy Chickin' Sandwich, Cauli-Mashed Potatoes, Sonoran Bowl, VG Beyond Burger, Carne Asada Burrito, and the Nashville Hot Chickin' Sandwich. I highly recommend any of these items. Honestly, I have a feeling everything on their menu is good. We frequent the Burbank/Toluca Lake location, and we're so glad new locations are starting to pop up all over LA county. I don't know there's something about this location that just doesn't do it for me and I've been three times now. The Hollywood location I feel like has a better menu and I think the food is prepared better as well. This one is located on what I like to call Healthy Street in Toluca Lake where all the restaurants for the most part are very health conscious. Veggie Grill is really good food and I'll definitely keep going because it's closer to me than the one in Hollywood but Pro tip if you get the burger tell them to cook it a little bit more well done! Holiday Feast...This was a premade meal that was picked up for Thanksgiving. We got the basic package with the Holiday Harvest Wellington, Baked Mac & Cheese with Parmesan Crumb Crust, Savory Sage and Onion Stuffing, Garlic Mashed Patatoes, Citrus Glazed Carrots with Toasted Walnuts, Green Bean Almondine with Herbed butter and Creamy Thyme Gravy. All sounded so good and easy, we needed it to be easy this year just reheat. So we followed the beautiful finishing instruction sheet directions. Which was mostly just heat up in oven. But the taste of some of the dishes fell short - thyme gravy, stuffing, and green beans. I should have steamed the green beens more and added seasons and thickener like flour to the gravy and the stuffing. The stuffing was the biggest disappointment for us. It was like getting a container of coutons. Would I order this again? I would order the Holiday Harvest Wellington that was beautiful and delicious, the Mac & Cheese, and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. VG rarely disappoints! The VG classic with Beyond burger is a fav of mine, but their new BLT is a strong competitor! Unfortunately, their chicken fingers have lost their magic. Since they closed the Encino location, this has become "my" Veggie Grill. It is as good as all the others: delicious healthy "junk" food. This is one of the few places where I order salads because I love them so much. I also love the fried cauliflower...genius that the sauce is on the side for dipping instead of all over the cauli, getting it soggy. The chocolate chip cookies are so tasty. Tried out their Pozole Verde Bowl and being raised on this stuff, I can say that this is a good alternative for a meatless pozole. My husband is a meat eater and loved the Beyond Patty Melt, so we hit a homerun here. I love the location and the ability to sit inside and outside. So far, so good -- the food was the same Veggie Grill selection and quality you know and love, location is cute and set among a lot of other desirable shops and stops, and the indoor/outdoor seating areas were clean and comfortably shaded. The outstanding part of this really was the staff though -- they were all so sweet, helpful, and efficient in dealing with this event's high turnout, and I was really impressed with how they handled the pressure and helped each other. Guys, I am loyal customer to veggie grill. Today that might change. I found a piece of rock inside my rustic farm bowl. I cannot believe this is happening right now. I noticed while I was chewing the food. This is unbelievable. I have to see my dentist for possible cracked tooth. I would hate having to get a root cannel over this stupid mistake. This is food safety issue and will escalate to the department of health. A report was filed today with the store manager. He also confirmed this is not the first time this ever happened. eh place. Decided to try it out because it has always been recommended by influencers or just people around me. Stopped by and got the "bulgogi beef bowl". The "beef" itself was too salty and the sides on the bowl didn't make sense for it to be a "korean style" bowl. The sides were cauliflower rice (bleh flavor), brussel sprouts ( not cooked thoroughly) and some slightly pickled cucumber which were probably the better item in the bowl. Also decided to get mac n cheese and was so disappointed, I understand replicating dairy is one of the hardest things to do when cooking vegan but it has absolutely no flavor at ALL? Overall wouldn't really recommend this place there's plenty of other vegan/vegetarian options that are doing it better. read more

So happy that Veggie Grill opened near where I live! Been waiting for this for YEARS! I agree with what the others say: Odd location in terms of the building. It was a pre-existing place, so, of course, it has those challenges. They are setting up outside seating, which will be great. Also, it's not a place that people usually spend hours at - therefore, it's more often a take-out or grab and go option - that's good. Why not make a couple of the spaces 10-15 minute parking? The signal in the space is hit-n-miss - so, connect to their wi-fi when you get there if you need to use their App and redeem Rewards. Keep in mind, it's Not Secure. (Also, download the App to get points and special rewards, etc...) Also, because it's a new location - you may be dealing with new employees who don't know the menu as well as you do. Patience. Patience. Patience. Someone made a great point - the order Kiosks aren't located near the door off the parking lot. And, the physical menus aren't anywhere to be found. It's a little odd. Really hit the spot after a big hike today. Ordered the mondo nachos and they let me substitute ground veggie meat in place of the chicken. It's soooo much better like that. I love the food here, I really do. There's just a few things I wish were different. I will definitely be back so this is more of constructive criticism than anything. The layout of this place is odd. If you enter through the door near their parking lot, you'll notice that you're immediately entering into a line. This is great, no issues here. However, there isn't a menu in sight. The nearest menu a pamphlet style menu that is located AT the registers. So the entire time you're standing in line, you don't have a menu to look over. This causes the line to back up because once you get to the counter to order, you have to quickly look over the menu right then and there and decide what to get. If you've never been to a Veggie Grill before then I would expect you might have a million questions especially considering that this place is pretty much entirely vegan. All the meats & cheese are referred to as beef, carne asada and cheddar, jack, etc. but are actually plant based. So having a menu that represents that would be helpful. There are touch screen menus right around the corner near another entrance but they have been out of order the three times I've been in. I'm not sure if their goal is to eventually only use the touch screens for ordering and omit the actual counter but if so, they should consider putting signage up or entirely closing a set of doors to redirect customers. Also, they have a giant empty wall where a menu could easily go so overall, I'm just confused as to why they don't have one. If you're ordering takeout, there's no place to stand so you'll have to go around the corner to the back dining area and wait for your food. This usually wouldn't be an issue but because of the configuration of the restaurant, when the staff calls your name, it's difficult to hear. If you miss your name after one attempt, they throw your food on a shelf and it's up to you to grab it. Maybe I'm just being picky here, but it's a little annoying. Overall, I really do love the food and their app and rewards system is great also. I will absolutely be returning but I would love to see some changes to ensure the best overall customer experience. read more

Once I got my meal it was delicious I had some fresh avocados sliced just right over a Mexican Grill type dish.
