The best Chinese food I've had in a long time! I'm from Seattle and familiar with good Chinese food and randomly found this place on my way out of Indianapolis airport. China Garden had the best reviews compared to all the other Chinese take out places along my route. Everything I ordered was delicious and tasted authentic for Chinese takeout. I ordered the veggie eggroll, shrimp egg foo yung, pork sweet & sour, and chicken lo mein. All these yummy dishes have me coming back the next day to pick up more for the family! The exterior of this establishment looks sketchy but, I assure you the food is AMAZING. My take out came packaged nicely and the proportions were big and plentiful. The prices were very reasonable. I found this place while DoorDashing and it is a favorite of mine. I come by often and order crab Rangoon and BBQ Boneless Ribs with extra sauce (added cost but worth it!). When I stopped in today, I was pleasantly surprised to see that they've added indoor dining! You will still walk up and order from the counter but you can now sit down and eat inside. read more

This is the only place I get Chinese food from in Indy! The rice, noodles, and veggies are always cooked perfectly! I'm very picky with how I like my broccoli in Chinese dishes but this place cooks them through and makes them taste AMAZING!! There is a very little space to dine in so I recommend getting it to go. But seriously, you NEED to try this place it's the best. read more

Get the house special fried rice on its own or any of the combo dishes with lo mein or pork fried rice. For those who like vegetables, the chicken with cashews has a ton of carrots and celery. The Mongolian beef with beef fried rice is also pretty great here. read more

S11. Sesame Chicken 芝麻鸡 is more like spicy sweet and sour chicken . It did arrive still crispy though even with the sauce still on it. The 83. Sweet & Sour Chicken 甜酸鸡 arrived hot and crunchy with lots of sauce. We got chicken fried rice and pork fried rice which arrived nice and hot with chunks of meat. The chicken chunks were definitely bigger than the pork, which were tiny! The 4. Cheese Crab Rangoon 蟹角 cannot be called crab, as there is none in them and only a few had one tiny piece green onion. You are in fact getting cheese rangoon did arrive hot and crispy and were still good considering they werent legit crab rangoon! They did add duck sauce per my request, although im not sure it was actually extra as requested! I would order again just for convenience and because it was good and hot, but I will still look for an alternative! read more

If you haven't been. Go! This is the best Chinese on the southside of Indy and i'll go as far as to say the best I've had in Indiana on a whole. The food is always hot and even though they say ready in 20-30 mins, sometimes when I show up early it's already waiting for me. Prices are fair, and portions do it justice. I looked online and saw the reviews and decided to try. I am so astonished because it's hard to find the nostalgia of Chinese fast food from like when I was young. I can not say enough good things about this place. I used grub hub for take out from here and deposit it being a 20 minute drive from me the food was still hot. All the veggies used in my entree were fresh. I think the true testament to this place was my leftovers the next day were just as good as the night before. I will admit I am a picky eater when it comes to meat but the quality was one of the better ones in terms of Chinese take out I've had before. Will definitely be eating here again read more

I wanted to go somewhere for lunch that was quick and cheap today. I've been missing my old favorite quick Chinese stop and have been looking for a new one for a while around where I work. This one popped up and thought I would try it. The food took 10-15 minutes and everything was piping hot when I got it. The restaurant is taking serious precautions against COVID and I'm loving it! The food was delicious but extremely heavy! Extremely worth the price though. The chicken was crunchy on the outside just now I like it and the sauce was decently flavorful. This is my new go to for when I am craving classic Chinese American food. My husband and I got take out from here last night and it was a hit! The order was hot and ready when I arrived. The staff was friendly. The portions and cost were great. The food: Crab Rangoon - full of yummy filling! Flavorful and good. Also came with a side of sweet and sour sauce which was a nice surprise! Wonton Soup - I am a tough critic on this one. I prefer my wonton wrappers thin with a good amount of filling. I like my broth rich and full of flavor. The wonton soup was good but not stellar - in my very picky opinion. The wrappers were thick and the filling was not as abundant as with the crab rangoon. The broth lacked depth (again in my very picky opinion) Beef Lo Mein - great flavor, nice amount of meat and veggies. We will order again. Good value for price. We ordered a large (quart) both had two helpings and still had leftovers! General Tso Chicken- yes I know this is not a real Chinese dish but when it is done well it is good. It is done well here. It has a the finest hint of heat which I think it should There were crunchy bites the yielding to soft, moist chicken in the center. Next time I will skip the combo meal and just get the chicken as I did not find their fried rice to be my favorite. Egg Rolls- Hot, crispy and stuffed full of goodness. Part of the reason I am writing this review is so the I remember this place the next time we are craving Chinese take out. Looking forward to trying the Kung Poa dishes as I suspect they may be good here. read more

Got General Tso chicken white rice and the chicken was stringy & very sweet had an odd smell like weird oil and on recommendation got the boneless spareribs and they were either all fat or like beef jerky. The only decent part was the eggroll. Spent $18.00 and threw it all in the trash. Sad. read more

I was going through this city during a road trip and looked up good restaurants to stop at for lunch on Yelp. Unfortunately when I added the detour on Google Maps, I put in the location of this instead of a different restaurant by the same name. First of all, the service was terrible. I had to wait around 5 minutes for the woman at the counter to get off the phone. She did not even acknowledge the fact that I was there until she finally hung up. I ordered the general tso's chicken. It came with rice. The rice wasn't cooked and was basically inedible but the chicken was ok. Well, I say ok. When I initially ate the chicken it tasted fine -painfully mediocre, but fine - until I left the restaurant and there was a horrible aftertaste in my mouth and my stomach hurt. I ordered the Hunan Tofu and Hot and Sour soup minus the meat. Both were pretty good so my below average review is service related. I would do take out from here but never done in. I hate having to stand at a register to order. Normally I would just walk back out but I was really hungry so I stayed. Of course you have to pay first which is the worse thing a restaurant could ask me to do. So that means that there can be no tip on the card because why would you tip before they even deliver the food? Then it came out in plastic to go and on a styrofoam plate and styrofoam cup. Finally I had to get my own silverware. She couldn't even bring that to the table. I think this is the first time in my life that I left no tip. Now a few words from the owner: 1st-who are you to tell someone how to organize? 2nd-the silverware was right in front of your face. You were to lazy to grab it. Each one of the workers are continently working. Yes,nonstop. That is why they are busy. They have things set up to what helps them get food to customers immediately. 3rd-who do you think you are, king? not. They cooked your food and gave it to you fresh and hot. No tip. You're a low life. Maybe someday you will be repaid. You don't know customer service. You are very selfish. I have eaten at this restaurant on several occasions. Solid menu and well prepared food. I typically only order delivery, although my orders have varied greatly in size and food specification. They are always on time, most of the times a little early. I definitely won't knock a place for that. On that subject, I like that there are "free with orders of X size" items periodically sprinkled in. The reviews are definitely true! This is a dynamite place to go for Chinese especially the day after a night out downtown! I opted for delivery and it took roughly 40 minutes or so. I went with the steamed pot stickers, vegetable lo mein, and sweet & sour chicken! Everything was really solid especially the pot stickers after they're topped off with a little soy sauce. Wow, best fast chinese takeout I've ever had. I wish it wasn't so far from where I live in town. Ever eat at a fast chinese takeout place and have that question in your mind, "Where did this chicken come from, it looks like it was leftover chicken pieces reformed together?" Or some such experience - like it came from the vast Corporate Chinese Food Conglomerate To Keep Prices Down (CCFCTKPD for short)? Well, not here! I saw them handcutting fresh chicken breasts! :) The food tastes fresh, the sauces aren't cloying or gross and all the different types of Chines don't all taste the same. The dumplings are 5-star. Finally, it's better AND cheaper than any downtown Chinese fast take out. I've actually driven from downtown to get this. Perhaps the best selling point? My body isn't telling me I made a giant mistake after eating their food like some fast Chinese places. NOTE: I say fast takeout because it's not as good as some sit-down Chinese restaurants but it's the best I've had for the call and go pick it up Papa John's-esque Chinese! read more
