I really love the work Yazmin does and can't recommend this place enough especially if it's your first time. It was my first time ever getting lash extensions done and Yazmin was very helpful in guiding me to the right shape and fill. She asked important questions that I never thought of (e.g. how many coats of mascara), and so I was able to get the look I wanted even though I was completely unfamiliar. The process was smooth and relaxing. I had no irritation and it's been about a month now, and my lashes still look great. Easy to wake up and just go about life - makeup free. I purchased a Group-on not expecting much but my experience turned out to be great. Please be advised Yazmin runs her business so don't expect to walk into a huge spa with receptionists so be patient.... regardless Yazmin is amazing , I am beyond happy with my lashes. She made me feel super comfortable and I love her bed side manner. We bonded so well and she knew exactly what I wanted regarding my lashes. A definite loss for the Suburbs but a win for the City. Velvet Room has moved its location and taken along with it the best facials I've ever experienced. Yaz, the owner, may have scaled back but only in regard to space. Once you're in her hands.....there isn't a spa or upscale luxury facility that can compete with her. She is THAT good. Yaz knows what she's doing. I had the microdermabrasion and oxygen facial. My skin looks and feels fantastic. She did explain what she was doing and walked me thru the microdermabrasion process as I was new to it. She chatted with me during that process but then was quiet during the rest of the facial which was perfect as it was very relaxing. Her arm and hand massage was an added bonus. Already booked my next appointment. She said she has 15 years experience and it shows! When I called to book, I had to leave a message and she called me back the next day to schedule. I thought it was a bit odd until I went to the appointment and saw that she is a one woman show! Since she is doing treatments, she can't answer the phone so she calls back in the morning or afternoon the next day. read more

Yaz is amazing! She works quickly and always does a fantastic job. I've gotten many compliments over the past five months. I would highly recommend her. I was a groupon customer and I recall it took a few days to get in touch with her but once I did she got me in and from then on I was able to schedule my three week fill ins pretty easily. She does tend to have a lot of appointments so I find it best to schedule my next appointment the day I go in for a fill in. read more

Ever since purchasing a Groupon, I've called, left voicemail messages and sent text messages requesting an appointment. Not one voicemail or text was returned. The website for this company doesn't exist. i am now attempting to get my money back from Groupon for use with a more reputable place. read more

Horrific. Lash placement uneven- had to go to Celebrity Lash on North ave and they fixed it for me. Very unprofessional- Cancelled appointments three times. Offered a free fill for the inconvenience and then "forgot." I purchased a fill and went to get it done since I already paid and Yaz complained that she was swamped and couldn't get me in as I was 10 minutes late, and I'd called and texted multiple times explaining that I'd be 5-10 minutes late. The appointment would have been 45 minutes anyway! Could have easily fixed some of the lashes, but was "locked out" of her office. No apology. Very poor job. Thank god for Celebrity Lash as they fixed this botch job! It was really upsetting. I left in tears. Not easy to get to either. read more
