A group of us had dinner before the play our friend wrote. It's a comfy place with foods that are unexpectedly so delicious! The best thing was friendly service by Antonio! We will come back for sure and I even told him I would bring my friends from Japan when they come to visit me!

    Garlic bread!! YUM

I Stumbled on this little restaurant while visiting Venice beach. The food was AMAZING the pizza was the best pizza I've ever had and the pasta was GREAT. The owner and staff were so friendly and kind helping with anything we needed. The seating is lovey, I would come here again and again.

Kind man behind the counter and food was simple + fresh. Big fan of the garlic bread spread and my friend had a chai that was delicious. Also open on New Years Day. Will come back

This place is a cool hidden gem but not too hidden. The man at the counter is incredibly kind, reassuring that everything is freshly cooked. Such a great experience of good Italian food.

Linguini puttanesca and penne arrabiatta with chicken

We were on our way to our favorite sushi place when we were drawn to the happy sounds of laughter coming from the patio. The smell of garlic and tomato sauce drew us inside and we are so glad we stayed. This unassuming pizza and pasta place is a one-man-show complete with personalized, heartfelt service and delicious filling food. What a fun serendipitous evening! We had the pasta puttanesca - mildly spicy garlic and tomato sauce over linguini noodles with olives, capers, peppers and mushrooms. I opted to skip the anchovies. It was delicious! We took half home for the next day. We also ordered the penne arrabiatta (sp?) with chicken - spicy and slightly creamy tomato sauce that was cooked perfectly. We also took half of that home! Topped off with a bottle of Chianti (it was warm but otherwise delicious and reasonably priced) and we got a bottle of San pelligrino sparkling water. All for under $100 for 2. We felt like we were dining at an Italian trattoria. It seemed like the customers who joined us on the patio were all from out of town. We just moved to the neighborhood and we can see making this our go to date night spot.(also posted this review to google)

Food was really good, tried three different pizzas and tiramisu. Pizzas were all really good, tiramisu was spectacular and likely the best thing I ate. Hailed as the second-best pizzeria by the 50 Top Pizza USA list, I put Pizzeria Sei on my list as a…read moremust-try during my latest trip to Los Angeles. However, I left disappointed with my visit, especially after trying several other pizza restaurants on this list that absolutely lived up to the hype. Sei is in the Pico-Robertson neighborhood, unassumingly sitting on the corner of the block. The restaurant is very small. It features a bar that surrounds the kitchen area, along with a few tables. They accept reservations and walk-ins, and they also seem to do a lot of takeout orders. Not being able to make a reservation for three, we decided to get there early on a weekday to grab a seat. We waited about ten minutes for three seats at the bar. The menu has plenty of options, featuring both classics and more unique pizzas. We ordered one pizza per person with the intention of sharing all three, and went for a mix of classic and fusion, opting for the Margherita, Ruti's Pizza, and Mala Lamb Sausage. It took about 20 to 25 minutes for the pizza to arrive at our table. Visually, the pizzas all looked amazing. The crust was really puffy with plenty of color contrast on the plate. Upon picking up my first slice, I immediately noted the floppiness of the pizza. The center of the pizza collapsed, causing some ingredients to fall off. This carried into my thoughts on the texture of the crust. In the Margherita especially, the bites towards the middle of the pizza were really soggy. The texture was borderline unpleasant. Maybe it had to do with the amount of sauce they used, but I found that the Margherita was the only pizza we ordered that was really problematic in this aspect. And while the Ruti's and Mala Lamb pizzas were still floppy in the middle, they weren't as soggy. Despite this, it was clear to me that Pizzeria Sei cared a lot about their ingredients. The natural flavors of each component in every pizza shone beautifully. The tomato sauce had a really nice, sweet, and tangy flavor, and all the herbs were aromatic and flavorful. I found the Mala Lamb Sausage pizza to be the best. The flavor profile was well-balanced and unique in addition to the crust being the best. As I ate closer to the edge of the pizza towards the crust, the texture improved drastically. The crust itself had a light crunch but was overall very chewy, and it was finished with high-quality olive oil. Combined, these drastically improved the pizza. Was Sei the second-best pizza in the US? For me, it definitely wasn't. However, they offer a unique crust style hard to find elsewhere in the US, along with creative dishes that make Pizzeria Sei worth a visit. If I were to go again, I wouldn't order all of the pizzas at the same time. From the second the pizzas hit our table, they grew soggier, and as they cooled, all of the pizzas were mediocre. I understand that this style of pizza is required to be eaten immediately, but it is also something to note and plan for.

You don't see that every day, and honestly, it's one of the best pizza crusts I've ever had. We tried the bacon and leek special, the pepperoni and the plain cheese, and all three were outstanding. Despite having three types of pepperoni, this does not mean the pizza is going to be covered head to toe with pepperoni slices. The tomato sauce was the best indicator that we were eating a fresh pizza. The crust was crunchy and the cheese had a nice pull. A lot of oil pooled on the bottom which was the only downside. However, I would come back again to try the other pizzas. Note: Market Pizza is located in a back patio surrounded by Jackson Place (apartments for rent) and Jackson Market (historic neighborhood cafe and deli). It's a soothing environment for brunch with draping vegetation and cute furniture. Beware of flies during daytime. The store itself only had two people working (one person mostly taking orders and one person mostly cooking) so it took a while to make the pizza because the wood fired oven isn't necessarily humongous and there were several people who had ordered before us.
