    Shrimp pasta and Lasagna Bolognese

Kind man behind the counter and food was simple + fresh. Big fan of the garlic bread spread and my friend had a chai that was delicious. Also open on New Years Day. Will come back

This place is a cool hidden gem but not too hidden. The man at the counter is incredibly kind, reassuring that everything is freshly cooked. Such a great experience of good Italian food.

Linguini puttanesca and penne arrabiatta with chicken

We were on our way to our favorite sushi place when we were drawn to the happy sounds of laughter coming from the patio. The smell of garlic and tomato sauce drew us inside and we are so glad we stayed. This unassuming pizza and pasta place is a one-man-show complete with personalized, heartfelt service and delicious filling food. What a fun serendipitous evening! We had the pasta puttanesca - mildly spicy garlic and tomato sauce over linguini noodles with olives, capers, peppers and mushrooms. I opted to skip the anchovies. It was delicious! We took half home for the next day. We also ordered the penne arrabiatta (sp?) with chicken - spicy and slightly creamy tomato sauce that was cooked perfectly. We also took half of that home! Topped off with a bottle of Chianti (it was warm but otherwise delicious and reasonably priced) and we got a bottle of San pelligrino sparkling water. All for under $100 for 2. We felt like we were dining at an Italian trattoria. It seemed like the customers who joined us on the patio were all from out of town. We just moved to the neighborhood and we can see making this our go to date night spot.(also posted this review to google)

It's a family-owned business with great service, delicious taste, and homemade sauces.

This place was a bit tourist trappy. Its a tad bit pricey for an 'order at the front find your own seating' place. The older gentleman that took our order was kind however everything else was mid in all honesty. If youre in the mood for some pizza you can get a better tasting pizza somewhere else for a way better price it was honestly kinda bland, nothing special. Although service wise they were kind it was extremely slow. On a Friday evening they only had one older Hispanic man running the whole kitchen not very packed at all but took 45+ mins for one pizza we ordered. I asked if they can please bring extra sauce and the man said "not sure I will see" and he just never brought it. I asked if they maybe had ranch and he said no. I know they are "authentic italian" but I have been to many Italian places and this isnt an issue so I was a bit disappointed considering they also never brought initial sauce request. Last thing if they offer you glass of wine, unless you want to pay an arm and a leg for a whole bottle i'd kindly refuse. Overall was just ok. Giving 3 stars because the man was friendly.

Amazing food! Everything is so fresh and delicious! Lovely ambiance, especially to sit outside. Service is fast and the owner is very kind. Highly recommend!

Had an excellent dinner with my girlfriend here. The food was great (good prices with big portions), the service was super friendly, and the atmosphere on the patio was perfect for a date night! We will be back!

this place was truly amazing! the front has an italian deli charm, while the seating area has chic dine-in energy. a lot of options for dining al fresco on their garden patio, nicely walled off from the street and sidewalk by lush greenery. the staff were friendly, funny, and attentive. the portions were massive and delicious! we kept commenting on how this was true Italian hospitality!

When I tell you this is some of the most authentic, delicious and satisfying Italian places I've been to in the LA area, this is an understatement. Antonio welcomed us with so much warmth and humor, and also cooked our ravioli and Spaghetti AllaNonna to perfection!! Plus the garlic bread is SO fluffy and flavorful. We really felt like we were in an intimate and warm Italian family dinner. It was so fresh and it was the real deal. 5/5 recommend, will definitely be bringing more friends here!!!

    Our amazing server!

The Margheroni pizza was excellent, featuring an ultra-tangy tomato sauce with a lot of bite, though my pepperoni pie could have used more slices of pepperoni. The place is small so if you want to do a walk in be prepared to wait, but the wait is honestly so random. One time I got in 25 minutes later and next time 45 minutes. First time, I got takeout and was honestly disappointed. The pizza got cold during the 12 minute walk back to my apartment and it just didn't hit the same because it wasn't fresh. Second time, we did a walk-in on a Sunday and somehow got really lucky. Waited about 20 minutes at a nearby coffee shop because of cancellations. We got the Margherita special and Ruti's pizza, and both were out of this world. Especially the Margherita special... this is hands down my favorite pizza i've tried in LA. I tend to gravitate toward classic flavors and they did everything right with this one. The crust alone... probably the best Neapolitan dough I've had in my life. It's pillowy, soft, slightly chewy, and just has that perfect structure. Only thing to note is their pizzas are VERY floppy. Like... really floppy. So if that's not your thing, you might not love it as much. Ruti's pizza is a white base with soppressata, fresh arugula, and hot honey. The sweet and spicy combo worked really well, super balanced and not overwhelming. We also got the tricolor salad which was a great starter. Very fresh, bright, and tangy from the lemon dressing. It cuts through the heaviness of the pizza perfectly. Third time, we did another walk-in on a Saturday around 2:30 PM and got seated within 30 minutes. At this point I'm convinced I just have good luck with the wait times!! We ordered the mala lamb sausage, diavola, bianca, and tiramisu. My favorite this time was the bianca. It was lighter and acted as a really nice palate cleanser between the heavier pizzas. You can actually taste the lemon in it, which surprisingly I loved on pizza. Only thing is you have to eat it fast because once it cools down, the cheese solidifies pretty quickly. The mala lamb sausage is definitely a crowd favorite, but not my personal favorite.... It leans heavier and the lamb flavor comes through pretty strong. If you like bold flavors you'll probably love it, but I personally prefer something more classic and clean like the margherita or the bianca. The diavola was solid. The soppressata brought the right amount of spice and everything felt really balanced. And the tiramisu... I will always get this if I have room for dessert. It's a good portion size!! The three of us shared it after already eating three pizzas (and still had 3 slices leftover) and we were completely stuffed. I would come back again for the Margherita special and the tiramisu alone.

Appetizers: Focaccia (sfincione) - 5/10 (GF rating 4/10) Super greasy, like, very. Make sure to ask for extra olive oil on the side, as that does make it better as they do have delicious olive oil. The bread seems like it's also cooked in olive oil, but frankly if they made their bread and had olive oil on the side it would've been much better. The bread itself though, ugh that whole bottom was wet in oil. Super unfortunate. Solid but oily as heck. Rice Croquettes (suppli in Bianco) - 5/10 (GF rating 2/10) Forgettable. Nothing special, no sauce paired with it. They're mediocre. I wouldn't get this again. Mains: Lamb Ragu (malloreddus) - 9/10 (GF rating 7.5/10) Extremely tasty. Pasta was very well cooked, lamb meat was perfect, as goes for the cheese on top and the sauce. Amazing meal. Would've been far better without having the subpar appetizers beforehand. Cheese and pepper pasta (cacio e Pepe) - 5/10 (GF rating 6.5/10) Non meat pastas aren't my thing, so take my rating with a grain of salt, as I would never get this myself. Girlfriend thought it was wayyyy too peppery, but that the pasta were cooked very well). Dessert: Panna Cotta - READ BELOW The panna cotta as a whole - disgusting. Jam on top was awfully bitter, quite literally inedible. The crouton like things were whatever. The panna cotta itself, as in only the white part, VERY good. After painstakingly doing our best to scrape off the jam, we were able to get to the base, and that itself tasted great (bar getting even a hint of the syrupy jam flowing into your bite). Service was fine. Didn't care for the ambiance.
