Leaving this review really makes me sad because I've been coming here since we moved to this side of town two years ago. They used to be wonderful, and now I think they are established so the customer service has gone down hill. If you watch the nail techs they don't properly clean the bowls or wipe down edges of pedi bowls. It's gross. This last time I asked them to please wipe everything down and they did. The lady who did my toes gave a great pedicure but the worst paint job I've ever seen. I didn't notice how thin it was until I got home and actually looked. My biggest complaint was my nails. I've been getting SNS nails done for years. The same woman had always done them. The last few times my nails felt sore. I stopped going and gave my nails a three month rest. Just to go back and have the worst experience EVER!!! My nails where grown out and normal when I went in. She did SNS and drilled so deep into my nails that they hurt for a week after. I went back to my old nail lady by old house and asked her take them off and help me because I was afraid to go back but needed my nails nice for work. She removed my SNS and.... oh. My. Gawd. Pictures speak for themselves!!! No wonder they hurt!!! She damn near filed my nail right off. When I called the salon to tell the lady who runs the front she didn't want to hear it. Really could care less. I knew that before I called in. They could care less because it's a turn and burn for them. Again, I am sad to leave this review but others should know this could happen to them as well. If the nail techs are burnt out and stop caring about others they really should step away from the drills. Look at my index finger nail!!!!! The worst mani and pedi I've gotten. Nail tech went so deep into my cuticles, I had blood infused gel polish and bleeding wouldn't stop for two days. I went up to the front to realize she didn't even paint my nails properly, every single nail wasn't painted fully, almost only at an angle. She some what painted them over. I always go to this nail salon. I have found who I prefer to do my nails and I always leave happy. UNTILL this day . Last week I went to get individual lash extensions. I had my hair in a bun on the back of my head during my appointment. About 35 minutes into the appointment I ask her if I can take my bun out because it's hurting my head ( my eyes are closed because she was still working ) but she tells me yes. Once I take my hair out the bun , she says " OH NO THE GLUE " That scared me , and I say " WHAT WHAT HAPPENED ? Is it okay for me to lay back yet? And she says yes " (never tells me anything about glue getting in my hair )I lay back and she finishes my lashes , I love them as usual. Pay , Tip and leave . The next day I have a hair appointment and i begin to brush my hair out to prepare it for the style and I couldn't comb through a certain area, I immediately fear that glue was in my hair and that's exactly what it was. I had to cut the piece of hair off. I do enjoy her nail work and lash work but I enjoy my hair more and hope someone will reach out the me regarding this situation. read more

So I WILL NOT be returning to this establishment! I had "Dr. Tony" do my nails and he did a horrible job! I have been faithfully coming to this location for almost a year. Every time I come he try to half do my service, I always tell him I want a FULL set, which means soaking off the SNS and putting a new coat on. Usually he will laugh and do as I ask . However a week ago, he decided he was going to use the drill to file down my nails and basically did a SNS fill in ( who knew this exited?!?!) I asked him, if this was a fill in he said, NO. I had already waited an hour past my appointment time, so I let it go assuming he was joking....WRONG!! My nails were dented and uneven. I was furious! While doing my nails Tony said, "the next time you come you go to____, I no longer do nails. I just run the place!" That was the LAST straw, or so I thought. When I went to pay, I expected to pay for my pedicure and SNS fill...Tony charged me for a FULL SET!! Now I have been coming here every two weeks spending at LEAST $80 on myself, plus at times and additional $40 on my daughter, and have recommended at least 5 friends, I have no problem spending my time or money . But to be treated SO RUDELY, receive HORRIBLE "service", and then to top it off less than a week later, my nail POPS OFF!!! I will NEVER return to this nail shop! I have told my friends what happened and they too, will not be returning. I did not cause a ruckus, I paid and left. But that is the LAST time, they will receive a dime from me. I learned a long time ago, You should never beg anyone to take your time, money or love from you! I made an appointment for the SnS gel w/o a manicure with Vince for 10am, was a bit early and got seated immediately. He was very friendly and welcoming. Every one seemed really nice. After he started I decided I wanted to also get a spa pedicure so they transferred me to a pedicure chair in which his wife Anne did my toes, the foot massage was great. The SnS gel is usually $35 but is on special right now for $30, the regular spa pedicure is $20. My experience was amazing. I love the fact that the pedicure tub is lined with plastic and the place was clean. No extra services were pushed on me..... I have tried several nail salons but I think I have finally found the place!!! I will definitely be back. read more

Worst experience ever... Went there with two of my girlfriends and none of us left very happy with how our nails looked. Mine are HORRIBLE. Not only does the SNS look bad but you'd think after the 2nd time I said ouch after making me bleed the tech would do better. As the picture shows it happened on almost every nail. I left very unhappy and in pain actually. After seeing how upset that I spent my hard earned money on these nails my friends made me go back in and they did give me my $35 back. I love this salon. The owner, Mimi, is very professional and her team is very welcoming. The salon feels like a spa. There are rooms on the side that are dimmed and used mainly for pedicures. The water feature is beautiful. The salon is very clean, no cutting corners here. Everything is nice including the cushions and the chairs are all new! I have been coming here for 4 yrs. Venice is packed on the weekend, so you should call in advance and make an appointment. In addition, my daughter loves Mimi and always asks for her. I will no longer continue to patronize a business that consistently provides poor customer service. Anytime an appointment is scheduled and not honored is unacceptable. I have spent more than enough money here to be treated poorly. I arrived for my appointment on Saturday, only to be told by Michael it was on Friday. A girlfriend and I randomly choose this place after having breakfast and was in need of pedi's. This place was relaxing...more like a day spa experience. Little talking amongst the nail techs and no loud Jerry Springer in the T.V. playing. There were many nice colors to choose from unlike most nail shops. The chairs were comfy and clean and they used sterilized equipment and were conscious of thorough cleaning between pedi's. The only con was that I felt extremely pressured and honestly annoyed that the techs kept pressuring me to do SNS or Gel Nails. Not every woman wants or likes that, so please respect my decision not to do so. If you don't want to perform the service...don't offer it! Overall, the nails and pedi were great. She shaped and manicured then very nicely for my first time here. Somewhat pricey, but I guess normal for the area ($45 for basic pedi and pink fill-in). read more

I really like coming here bc there is one nail tech who does a great job but I will be looking for a new place simply bc of the up charge for "longer nails." It feels as if they charge me bc I don't say much but it's a bit ridiculous when you get them cut down to STILL pay for the higher price and you aren't aware you will be paying a higher price until you check out. I just left Venice nails in Snellville, Ga off Scenic Hwy 124 and I come from Conyers over here to this place in Snellville EVERY 2 WEEKS like clockwork. The services I get are typically $75 and I tip 15%. Today was the worst experience and I will NEVER return. The nail tech a male (sorry I don't know his name) was removing the SNS from my nails. In the process the electrick file he's using, he goes to deep into my nail bed on my forefinger on my left hand. Breaks through my nail bed apparently. He then puts the nail-remover soaked cotton ball on my forefinger and I damn near jump out the chair - I immediately pull my hand away and tell him its burning. He went too deep with the electric filer on my nail bed so because he damaged my nail I cannot get another full set of SNS. He suggests I wait let it heal. I say ok fine. Just f-up my whole experience now. I asked how much to just take off he says $5. I continue with my pedicure and it's time to pay. Pedi was $35 nails SHOULD have been $5 so total of $40. I'm checking out and quoted $44 I ask why? I only had the old SNS removed and a pedi. They then go get the manager...I explain the reason I didn't get my normal service is because the nail tech DAMAGED MY NAIL BECAUSE HE WENT TOO DEEP with the file. They then go get the nail tech and female manager and I explain the EXACT SAME THING. But for your nail tech's damage to my nail is the REASON I DIDN'T GET FULL SERVICE TODAY. They then try to blame my nails for being weak. Rather take responsibility for the damaged you caused. I said if my nails were weak then why didn't this happen to ALL MY NAILS? why just one? That's what pissed me off the most. So because I didn't get a full set you now charge me $9 to remove instead of $5 then you BLAME ME for nail damage I did not create. Not apologizing and taking responsibility for hurting someone AND jacking up the price is not only deplorable it's bad business all around. I understand mistakes happen, but to not take responsibility on some shit you did will never sit right with me or any other person getting her nails done. Love this sweet place! Hate showing up last minute, but when we got to the door at 7:25 (they close at 8) we asked and they said we were good for a pedi. They kept the doors open well after closing for my friend and I. That's good business. The pedi was delightful. Not super fancy and without tons of frills but you can't beat $35 for a good mani and pedi! They took their time and the job was well done. I got a lovely blue for both and although it chipped a bit day two, it still looks stellar overall. I also got my eyebrows colored (I didn't even know that was a thing) for $15 which was well worth it. The workers were accommodating and patient. Worst experience ever! Managee was rude as I'd gotten my nails done by Julie the day before and not only did I notice bumpy uneven nails, they were chipping already. In one day, these unattractive nails were chipping. I asked the manager for a do-over as they were unsightly. She declined fixing all of them although they were visibly unsightly and many already starting to chip. She finally allowed someone to fix ONE nail, while the others were also on need, she again declined. I showed her my receipt thinking she'd realize they were just incorrectly done. Let me start by saying that I've been a loyal customer of Venice Nails for several years. For over a year I've requested the same manicurist,Tran. I normally visit the salon about every 3 weeks, always tipping Tran. I always call in advance to schedule an appointment so Tran is prepared for me. I engage her in light friendly conversation always asking her how she is doing. I've told many family and friends to visit Venice Nails. Today's visit started the same as usual. Upon finishing up with my SNS I noticed an area on one of my nails that did not have SNS coverage. I showed it to Tran and asked if she could fix it. She added more product. She asked if there was another area and I noticed another nail with the same issue. She applied more product then got up and took the products away. When she left I carefully inspected each nail and found another nail that needed more coverage. When she returned I laughingly said, "don't kill me please, Tran, but there is another area here on my thumb that needs product." She yelled at me saying, "nobody's going to see it, nobody can see it. It is close to your skin, nobody is going to see that." I asked her to calm down and explained to her that I was having pictures taken and that my hands would be in the pictures and that I wanted my nails to look as nice as possible. She continued to scold me in front of other customers saying nobody would see it as her voice was continuing to get louder and louder. She left and retrieved the products needed, and applied them, never apologizing for yelling at me nor for the issues with applying the SNS product. I could hear the customer sitting to the right of me comment to her manicurist that my manicurist was out of line for the way she was treating me and that I was paying for a service and that I should get what I was paying for. I said nothing more to Tran and allowed her to finish up with the service fearing it would only get worse and cause me more embarrassment if I said something. After applying the oil and warm towel she said nothing. I asked if I could now go wash my hands and she snapped saying, "yeah, go wash your hands." I washed my hands and went to go checkout. Normally, Tran is at the register waiting to ring me up, she was not there when I went to check out. The, I assumed asst. manager, said you're waiting for Tran, right? I said, "Yes, but I think she is having a bad day because she yelled at me." Instead of asking me what happened, she began raising her voice telling me that she needed to hear from Tran. I asked her to please ring me up so I could leave. She continued to raise her voice never asking me what happened, only saying she needed to hear from Tran and that she had heard enough from me. I told her that I wasn't to be yelled at, but she continued to raise her voice telling me that she wanted to hear from Tran. Again, never asking me what happened. Tran finally came to the register and I told her that I'd been coming to her for a long time and that I was devastated that she yelled at me. She did not apologize and the young lady I assumed was the the asst. manager told me to stop talking. I said again, "please ring me up, so I can pay and leave." She said, "No, I want to hear from Tran." I said for the last time please ring me up, I've heard enough from Tran yelling at me. Finally, they rung me up and I paid and left. I really believe the asst. manager was trying to get me to engage in an argument so she would have a reason to call the police on me. I believe she wanted me to storm out and refuse to pay, which was absolutely not going to happen. I am hoping that me being a woman of color did not factor into the way I was treated. I can understand her wanting to hear both sides of the situation, but a bit more professionalism and tact are needed on her part. Not only that, but she never even asked to hear my side. Needless to say Venice Nails lost many loyal customers today. When I started going to their nail salon I told many family and friends to go, which they've been doing. Today, I've contacted them all and they are contacting their friends who are contacting their friends, and so on and so forth..... you get the picture. So if you are looking for a Nail Salon you may not want to look in the direction of Venice Nails, unless you want to be yelled at and mistreated. MiMi, I know you are the general manager/owner and manage many other nail salons in the area, you might want to meet with your staff at Venice Nails to retrain them on customer service. I'd hate for people to read this review and get the idea that other salons you manage offer the same type of poor customer service, they might think that it has something to do with your managerial style. read more

The following issues arose: (1) Upon arrival we were told we weren't allowed to sit together, (2) The esthetician left my nails soaking in acetone for 1 hour. This process is supposed to take 15 minutes, (3) Several other estheticians searched for my esthetician repeatedly. She refused to come back, as she was waxing another customer, (4) When booking my appointment and upon arrival, I made it clear we were on a time limit because of prom, (5) When my esthetician reappeared she placed the wrong color on my nail, (6) When I informed her of her error she called me a liar and began to CURSE AT ME, (7) When I refused to pay for the service she told me "FINE. Decided to give this salon a chance last year and everytime I go it's a great experience. I've never gotten a manicure here, only pedicures. From the moment you walk in, everyone is so nice. Didn't have to wait too for long and didn't feel a lot of pressure off buy additional services. They have a pretty wide selection of spa pedicures. Very clean equipment. They put disposable liners in for baths and open sterilized bags in front of you. Cleanliness is the first thing I notice. The chairs are close together but you don't feel like you're right on top of each other. I always get compliments on my toes after visiting here. read more
