They have a decent space for indoor and small space for outdoor seating. The staff is friendly and engaging. I've enjoy the beers that I've tried here. I actually haven't had their coffee but it looks popular. They have a nice bar area facing the front. A good number of outlets scattered around. We were in Milwaukee for two days and came both days! The beer is good, the coffee is great, and the owners are amazing! Sometimes it's not all about the items you have but, also the experience of going to a place and this is one place I am definitely going to return not just for the tasty brews but, for the service and experience you receive. Great little spot to hang with friends. It is very casual. It's an open space with a bar and tables. Nothing fancy but it works! I had the cold brew which was delicious but strong! It's a great atmosphere and the bar tenders were very friendly! I did not have any beer but everyone I was like really liked it. You can sample them and the staff was knowledgeable. I'm pretty stingy with 5-star reviews, but Vennture is the most deserving of establishments. From a cafe/brew pub perspective, they do everything right. Coffee drinks are carefully crafted with the bean held with high regard, and the evening beers are, generally, bright, fresh, and flavorful. As a bit of a beer nerd, I praise Vennture's ability to serve beers that taste like few others. Not super-high in gravity (alcohol), they make very quaffable brews. Service is always attentive and friendly, as the owners themselves tend the place. They're quick with a smile or helpful advice, and they generally support the community in which they are in. Need a bite with your brew? Fear not -- Vennture welcomes you to bring in food from local establishments. Feeling competitive? There are plenty of games on hand to test your skills against friends and significant others. Cribbage, man. I would destroy you. In short, this place is a true Milwaukee gem. In addition to an excellent social media presence, Vennture has both great coffee and great brews. The owners took a risk opening a few years ago on North and in a space that needed a lot of work. But now you can taste beer in the summer with garage-door style windows and lovely outdoor options. Everyone is following great protocol and they're cheerful in the midst of it all. North Avenue has long awaited the opening of this space. These guys had a vision to create a place where great coffee, craft beer, and local community could all intersect. They've only recently opened, so I haven't sampled their coffee yet (which they roast on site!); but I have had both their Berliner Weiss and their Critical Adjustment Coffee Stout. I'm so proud to have a brew pub in our neighborhood turning out truly quality beer! The beers I had were delicious, cold, and FRESH! The atmosphere is unpretentious and feels appropriate for bringing folks together for a beer or coffee. There is plenty of seating throughout, but for a more intimate experience, sit at the bar and interact with the owners! Super pumped on this place opening in this area! Great atmosphere, location is nice as there are no places like it near by and the service is awesome. I liked all of the beers I had and the place is made mostly out of reclaimed wood. I met a group of friends and the place was packed! There was a dj that showed up to provide some cool jams and doors open to let in the breeze. Try the coffee, try the beer, try the beer that has coffee. Love the latte, and tried one of their cold brew specials, may have been a Kenyan collaboration, but I couldn't begin to describe all of the different tastes that came to fruition in this smooth, cool drink. Vennture Brew is one of the newer breweries in Milwaukee. They serve beer and coffee here. It does have more of a coffeehouse vibe to it with a modern feel, bright lights, and a calm atmosphere. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I'm definitely a beer drinker. The beer here is amazing. My friend suggested the Pie Curious and that one was my favorite. It's a blueberry and lemon pie sour. I didn't think it was sour, but it was appropriately tart with a strong blueberry flavor. I know I had another beer of there's but I can't remember what because I loved the Pie Curious so much. A must stop if you're a craft beer lover and in the MKE area. read more

This is a damn fine cup of coffee. Also, beer. And great service. Vennture has a variety of delicious cold-brewed and pour-over coffees to choose from, excellent lattes and huge honkin' scones. Their drinks are made with love, and they open at the crack of dawn. The place is immaculately clean, roomy, comfortable, and plays good music. They have a quick-serve honor bar if you're in a hurry and cannot wait in a short line of 2-3 people, maximum. We first went here when our relatives from Seattle/Tacoma visited and they told us that the only place they definitely wanted to check out was Vennture, a mere two miles away. We hadn't heard of it, because they had just opened. Prior to this, we were Stone Creek people, even though it was a drive. We got one of each of their taps. The Cat Shirts is amazing (if you like sour beers). After they left, we reverted to our Stone Creek ways. A year passed. We grew increasingly disenchanted with the hassle which is driving downtown during summer traffic. Vennture is unpretentious without being lazy. They have a patio (dog-friendly), the coffee is consistently good, and the staff is polite, competent, and willing to educate you if you have questions or are new to coffee connoisseurship. First, let me say that this place has GREAT coffee and GREAT beer! It's a cool little spot up on north Ave (perched among other cool spots) and they have a really cool indoor cafe and a nice patio for crushing beers or coffee. They've got a Golden Ale that's called Shower Beer (put that together--golden shower beer)., their IPA's are solid but accessible, and their stout game is on point. I visited Vennture Brew today, 5/14/22 in the late afternoon. I visit craft breweries as a hobby (and probably as an excuse to find nearby restaurants that might have ramen). Vennture appeared as an oddity to me in the neighborhood which is otherwise filled with stores selling European sausage, furniture, flowers and barbershops. Vennture's interior had a college trendy decor and staffed by hipsters. Most patrons had laptops out with headphones. Staff were very nice and appeared knowledgeable about both their beer and coffee. They offer a flight of 3 for about $12. My selections were unique. I tried one that was frothy and akin to a jelly donut in a glass, a tart sour and one that had hints of either coriander or a mint. They finished unusually and mostly fruity. I appreciated the artisanship of the beer, probably more than the beer itself. While I did not try any coffee, I decided to take the staff's recommendation and bought two 12 oz bags, one of Mexican and one of Guatemalan beans. Wi-Fi was easily accessible and stable. I was able to access a free brewery sticker that was left out to take. I'd like to return to try a coffee drink. read more

I came to for a beer tasting event hosted by MBS and Vennture, and I've been back a few times because we love it! Everyone was friendly immediately upon walking in for the first time. The bartenders & owners take the time to talk to you and give more information about their beer and coffee. I enjoy that they serve coffee AND beer. It's a great location to meet clients who can choose if they want coffee or alcohol The bar is large and there's plenty of seating, including long table with bench seating for larger groups. They also have window seating for people dining alone/working on their laptops. The decor is updated, clean and modern. I also always find a place to park on the street! read more

Oddly enough I've only visited Vennture in the morning, which is odd only because I like beer and would have preferred to sample that instead of their coffee offerings. However, we had a nice experience in the morning. It was during the summer so they had the window panes opened up to the street. I appreciated the decor, especially the floor in the entryway. Little special touches make it seem well cared for. Our barista(?) was a friendly fellow who answered our questions and prepared our pour over coffee. Best chai latte I've ever had - and I've had a lot of chai. Get it with oak milk and it's even better! They also carry Hatched handpies for pastries and they are incredible! The service is top notch and you really can't ask for better. It's also a great spot for kids. They have a huge game selection. First off - this place is gorgeous. I love everything from the logo design to the furniture to the wood out front on the face of their building. We went in around 4:00 on a Saturday and there were a few people there. You can enter through two doors and there is a mix of high-tops, tables and obviously the bar. Their beer options are clearly laid out and the options for pour sizes/prices are very easy to understand. I wish they'd put the price for a flight on one of the boards though. Maybe I just missed it? I found the variety of beer to be a little lacking - two oatmeal stouts, one saison and the rest were IPAs. However, one of the IPAs was a sour and I love sours, so I went that route (Cat Shirts). Harvey got the Cash for Gold, a strong IPA. We sat at a table and played cards for a couple hours and just sipped our suds and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. There was a family next to us with two kids and they were enjoying the few games that the brewery had to share. They don't serve any food at all, but welcome any sort of carry in or delivery that you might want to bring in which is nice. Taste pours are $2.50-$3.00 and full pours range from $5.00-$6.00, so not too hard on the wallet either. We really liked this place! They open at 5am and serve both hot and cold coffee too - Pour Overs, Cold Brew, Espresso or Tea. I usually want to grab a roll or croissant with my coffee in the morning so if they were able to even grab pastries from another local place then I'd be more inclined to stop by in the morning - though I'd be tempted to just grab a beer and stay awhile. read more

A few months ago I moved into this neighborhood. Of course, the trendy looking Vennture was on my radar right away. The coffee is great, don't let the limited menu intimidate you, ask of they can make what you like and they probably can! I was over the moon to discover they sell Hatched handpies, which are truly laced with addictive drugs (lard, who knew). I finally made it here for beer and it's pretty great. The Heights was a lovely lighter beer, Gregory's Cousin a delicious stout without any bitterness they can often have. Staff is always genuinely friendly, easing my anxiety about coming alone to a new place. My only complaint is that they close at 7pm. Maybe later hours as summer approaches? Anyway, we were looking for a little beer tasting just before the noon hour and this place fit the bill. There are a nice variety of beers, and not just hoppy IPAs. The staff is friendly and helpful. Venture Brew is great! The staff are extremely friendly and willing to answer any questions. They have coffee, beer, and a lot of sweets (including gf cookies and banana bread, but also gluten filled poptarts and homemade baked goods). They have decaf options and tea which I like after having too much coffee during the day. But in general the coffee selection is top notch They also have games to play and sometimes have live music. This place is a great work from home spot because the lights are bright and keep you alert and the tables are big. My only qualm is that I wish they had a wine option. And that they had more syrup options. I'm a celiac so I can't have beer. read more

First, let's get this out there- this spot is probably not for you if you're looking to drink your face off with your broskis. In fact, if that's your deal, just cross this place off your list and spare the rest of us. ;) it is, however, the perfect spot if you're looking to unwind over a beer while catching up with a friend. Or if you need a coffee and a change of scenery while you catch up on some work. Either scenario- seriously! I tried a stout and ipa while I was there. Both were awesome, but I won't get caught up in the details on those because I hear they're changing taps often (and working to get a few more!). Bonus points to this place for the following: 1. Prime location. Aka this area was in serious need of a top notch beer bar. 2. I actually felt cooler while I was there. 3. Simon is pretty awesome. Some people are foodies and although I am one of those I am more of a beer-ie. And I was a little let down with Vennture. We were so excited for a brewerie right down the road from us so we walked over with some friends and no one was super impressed. The beer lacked flavor to us and almost all of them said that the beer I brew in my basement is better (big ego boost for me) but I sort of agreed. We had one each and then bounced over to a different one. I will give the beer another shot at some point. However, we did come the next morning for the coffee and that was wonderful! The pastries looked good but we didn't try any that time. I would go back for coffee for sure. The decor and style is incredible! They did an excellent job with decor, cleanliness, the garage doors that open so you can sit open door it amazing. Husband and I are always looking for a good coffee shop when we're out of town. We love our DD, but a local coffee shop is always good to find and enjoy the local stuff. This spot was great! I ordered a Guatemala Quetzal pour over, hot coffee. Yum! Notes of apple and caramel to finish! Yum! Husband got an iced coffee ( I forgot what kind), but he loved it. We split an "adult pop tart", blueberry lemon. And yes... Yum! It paired up very well with our coffee. The ambience was super cool. I love when we "happen" a local spot like this. What a gem! Coffee roaster meets craft brewery and they've nailed them both. Came in Saturday night and enjoyed both of their saisons -- Throw Parties and The Heights. Learned that they roast their own coffee too, so we came back to watch the World Cup final Sunday morning over a great pour over and a barrel aged cold brew. (They do have one big TV.) They source some sweet/pastries from Troubador too if you need a small bite to eat. You can feel the love the owners have for this place and tell that it's been a labor of love. They shared that the concept/name comes from the idea that the intersection of coffee and beer is community, and it's clear they've been very intentional about cultivating a sense of togetherness -- in their shop's design and approach to customer service. I love this place. It's been a very welcomed addition to the neighborhood. Great coffee, great beer, friendly staff and welcoming environment. This joint has its own unique personality and offerings. It's not Starbucks, so don't expect a ton of froofy coffee drinks (however, they can make things off-menu). It's not a beer hall either; you won't find Miller Lite here.
