    I'm so incredibly impressed with this company! I have a house with a walk-out basement, so the sides of my home are sloped hills, and my builder ran my dryer vent up to the attic from the second floor. This means my vent was 25 feet off the ground! American Classic, my home builder, also decided to use a $5 part to cover the dryer vent, a cheap three-louvered design. After nine years, two of the louvers broke off, so I had a hole in the side of my house. Not surprisingly, a bird decided to fly in there to get out of the cold. The bird went all the way into my house - right up to the dryer - and died. So I had a vent 25 feet off the ground in desperate need of a real vent cover, and a dryer hose that had never been cleaned in nine years. I got the bird out, but I couldn't fix the other problems. I called around to at least eight different places, and none of them could/would work on a vent that high off the ground or service the Renton area. Ventflow to the rescue! They came out on Monday after I called them on Friday (so quick service), and despite the challenging scenario of getting up on a ladder to mount a new, strong vent cover, they tackled it perfectly. They were professional, wore masks, and got the job done quickly. I'm so incredibly thankful that Ventflow is around to help home owners like me and I'll certainly use them again in the future for vent cleaning.

    I really wish every business was like VentFlow! I can't get over how smooth, easy, quick, professional, and cheap they were! I found them via Yelp and saw that all the reviews were 5-star--that's not normal. Between all their great reviews and mesmerizing before and after photos I reached out via the Yelp app to see if they were available. Not only did they reply within minutes, they gave a flat rate quote and was able to come out ASAP. VentFlow arrived on time with masks and gloves (and little bootie covers for shoes when inside!) and went right to work. My dryer vent vents out our new roof --and the roofers did not put the right vent on! It was a total fire hazard. They explained what had happened with the "vent" and what they did to fix what was there. They were only hired to clean the vent, but went way above and beyond. There was no bait and switch on price and there was no up-selling at all. I asked THEM what it would cost to cut into the roof and install the proper vent and it was WAY less than I anticipated. Our roof is under warranty, but if I do end up replacing the vent--I'm going with VentFlow. That should tell you something about them and their super reasonable rates. Yup, all 5-star reviews for a reason!

I asked him what that meant, he said it was like an air purifier. He was told we would be only paying for the air duct clean and the product itself. He was originally quoted $800 for the cleaning and the air scrubber for a $1600 package deal. We have an Aerus Air Scrubber cut in and installed into our HVAC system. As I walked in the door that night from work, I said, "why does it smell like an ozonator in here?" He asked me what that was. I explained that it was something that sucks the oxygen out of room to remove strong orders quickly. Companies that do Bio-hazard clean-up and restoration commonly use these machines. I am very familiar with this smell, as I have been in property management for 15 years. In fact, I own a small one for vacant homes. Ozone machines can make people very ill. My husband immediately notified Jim, the owner, that my son and I were smelling this odor and were getting headaches and our eyes were watering. It's important to note: we experienced NONE of these symptoms before AirCare USA. Jim claimed that they do not use ozone as they tried that once and he knows its bad. He had no idea what we could be smelling. Maybe it was the "sanitizer" they spray in the machine. He asked us to give it a little while longer. A week passed and still the smell was there and we were even more sick. I got on a step stool and unplugged the machine. When we called to ask them to remove it "100% Customer Guarantee" they pushed us out weeks. The day before the appointment I called Jim and asked how we would be reimbursed. He told me it would be up to Alex and he wasn't sure how much but he would cut us a check. Late that evening I received a text telling me we were not receiving anything back. During the appointment, Alex told my husband we would only see a refund had they been able to get their money back from the company. My husband asked why we should be on the hook for $1600 for something that was making us sick, Alex asked why HE should be on the hook for it. They buy these units in bulk and can't return them. He also said there was nothing in the unit and he has no idea what we would smell. As Alex was leaving my husband had to ask for our piece of equipment back that makes us sick, that they were going to take and not refund us any money. We have a patch in our HVAC system, you cannot find this model number of air scrubber on the internet anywhere and we are still out money. This was our experience with AirCare USA.

In related news, I later found out that asking adding a surcharge for debit transactions is actually illegal per U.S. Federal law. Good to know. (https://usa.visa.com/dam/VCOM/download/merchants/surcharging-faq-by-merchants.pdf) You might bring this up when they attempt to do charge you for a debit card, which my agent did. They can charge up to 3% for credit cards. Nevertheless, the good folks are the office were very nice about reversing the double-charge. I am waiting to see when it comes through. Pro's - Basic work seemed to be done well and at a price that was competitive with others I contacted at least for the basic service. - Communication was prompt. - After some re-scheduling on their part, the team did the work swiftly and efficiently. - Most of the terms were clear in advance, using Yelp Projects. Con's - This is a fairly shiesty corner of the home maintenance world. Many providers seem to give you a low-ball estimate to get in the door and then upsell significantly. - Envirosmart is not an exception. - The initial quote was $200. This included scoping the ducts and doing the negative pressure clean-out. - Onsite, they then upsold me to $670 for a more thorough brushing of the vents, sanitation, and some other ancillary services. - They were only modestly well-organized. They called the day-of to reschedule because of a conflict with internal training. They also confirmed a different time than I had originally scheduled. It was the difference of a 9 to 11am original window and a 2:30-3pm arrival. - The Yelp Project communication could have been clearer. They did not specify whether they were calling to quote me or coming to do the service! Amid all this and with some clarification and flexibility on our part, we worked it out. I would have appreciated either a discount or additional service for the delay. None was proffered. I did not go ahead with the upsell as I had already gotten quotes for less from other providers with somewhat more transparent pricing. I think the work they did appeared fine. See attached pics. Your guess is as good as mine which are before and which are after! They did not specify when they sent them to me and email took off the timestamp. I'm hoping the cleaner ones. I probably will try another service when I do this again and with a higher rated provider. All in all, though, I had low expectations and those low expectations were met.

    I used Capitol Duct Cleaning for a dryer vent cleaning in April 2025. This year the dryer started…read morehaving problems again. About 14 months after the initial cleaning, an appliance repair company discovered a brush was lodged in the dryer duct. When I called Capitol to address the stuck brush, they denied responsibility for it. They gave excuses for why their air-hose method had not removed it, and were unwilling to do anything about it except charge me for another cleaning. Regardless of whether they left the brush there, it's clear their service did not remove it. In my view, a professional cleaning should have included removing any obstructions like this. It's pathetic that the appliance repair company discovered the probelm that the duct cleaning professionals had missed. I reluctantly made an appointment for another cleaning. The office representative said a manager would call me to discuss the situation. The manager never called. I waited for the technician, who never arrived. When I called to follow up, the office girl told me that she had canceled the appointment, which she did without notifying me. I made another appointment, again agreeing to pay for another cleaning. I sent them a photo of the brush stuck in the vent under the porch, along with details about the tight access (roughly 10 feet in with no crawlspace), and ask them to confirm that they could remove the brush at the agreed price. They did not reply to my email. When I called, the girl in the office assured me that she had seen the email and the photo, and that they could remove the brush for the quoted price. Great, but would it have killed them to acknowledge the email? After waiting two weeks for the appointment, the technicians arrived today--90 minutes early, when I was not ready for them. They had no idea they were there to remove a stuck brush. After wasting about 15 minutes of my time while I was supposed to be working, they determined they could not remove the brush. I told them I would be going with another company and asked them to leave. From start to finish, this company didn't do a single thing they said they were going to do. I don't intend to deal with them again.

    I booked AirGanic's services for duct cleaning, furnace cleaning, AC cleaning, and dryer vent…read morecleaning. They came on 3/6 in the provided time window, and did a good job of cleaning from what I can tell. On their website, they mention they provide a before and after report of the duct cleaning, though the only report I've received so far is the indoor air quality one. It would be nice to see the before and after, but that's not my biggest concern with their service. Unfortunately after they completed the service and left, I noticed floor new vibrations on the floor that is right below the furnace (which weren't there before the service). At the time since this was still during the day, I figured it might be from some construction work outside and ignored it. The vibrations continued into the night at which point I was getting concerned. I call them on Monday 3/9 and the earliest they can send someone to check it out is Friday 3/16 -- not ideal, but appreciated nonetheless. It's the same tech who did notice the vibrations on the furnace with the blower compartment open and fan running. Unfortunately he doesn't have an idea on what could be causing the vibrations from a cleaning. I suspect the vibrations to be from the blower going out of balance (perhaps from something settling on the blower during the duct cleaning). He goes to call his boss and returns saying the boss isn't also sure of what could be causing the vibrations, that the blower could be cleaned but AirGanic doesn't do it and that the boss would reach out to me with details of a company that cleans furnace blower. It's been three full business days and I've yet to recieve a call from the boss. I removed, cleaned, and put back the furance blower myself in the mean time which did resolve the vibrations -- it looked like there was stuck on paper on the blower fins. No idea where that came from. I'm not particularly happy with how my situation was handled -- if I am told someone will reach out to me, I expect to be reached out in a reasonable time. If I'm hiring a professional for a service and something unexpected happens, I expect help from the professional -- that's why you hire a professional. I was left without help and had to guess and fix the problem myself. Everyone makes mistakes, that's not what I have a problem with, I'm only interested in how well the mistake is remedied. I imagine this was something that doesn't happen frequently. In all probability, you'll hire AirGanic for cleaning, everything will go great -- I certainly don't contest that the cleaning itself was poor or unsatisfactory -- but if something unexpected happens, you might not get the help you are expecting.
