Nice atmosphere, very friendly and quick service. The pizza was large enough for 2 to share, although many in the place were eating as a single serving. This place has the best pizza that I have ever had. They have great service too. We got sat down immediately. We got our drinks and breadsticks, which were very delicious, very quickly and ordered. Wow, this is the best restaurant in Elkhart County and one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to. The ingredients are the key. Everything is top quality. The salads are amazing; the pizzas are delicious. The only critique I would offer is that they don't serve wine and cava in wine glasses. Cava in a regular glass doesn't taste as good. Simply the best service I've ever had at a restaurant. And we weren't even technically supposed to be served! We got some takeout pizza for our large group and ate outside so that we didn't overwhelm them inside, and the Venturi staff was so kind. We make the 40-min trek out here several times a month to eat here. The drive is worth it every time. The crust is glorious - thin on the bottom, fluffy around the edges, absolutely delicious. Business brought me to Amish country and I was in search of good food near Middlebury IN. I noticed several great reviews for Venturi so took a 15 min drive through the backroads and found myself in Goshen IN. First off, downtown Goshen looks great, lots of cool shops and eats. I found Venturi and had to circle the block and come back and found parking in a city lot across the street. Upon entering you'll be impressed with their space. They've done a great job of modernizing an old storefront. White walls, contemporary art and old floors and ceilings crest a great vibe. Their playlist is hipster eclectic groove. I overheard Ray Lamontange and something that sounded like a James Bond instrumental soundtrack. Not too loud, just right I sat at the bar and was served by a nice young man who explained their specials and pizzas. I ordered the seasonal salad which was fresh and good, even though a little light in the dressing. I selected a pepperoni and sausage pizza. Their crust is thin and quality. Not crispy since cooked in a wood fired oven. Sauce and cheese is light but you won't mind as the flavor is awesome. The pies come in one size, uncut and serve one or two depending on your appetite. This was my second time coming to Venturi's and it's still one of my favorite pizza places. When we arrived it was full but there was a group that was about to leave. They seated us at the bar and we ordered coffee while we waited. For the appetizer we have the Bruschetta and with the peppers and for the main I had the fig pizza. One word: AMAZING! I was definitely apprehensive about the fig jam and the Prosciutto, but little did I know that the 2 would make such a heavenly pairing. This once magical place has lost its appeal for me. The wood fired pizza oven was a great change of pace from the other pizza ovens arounf. Now the pizza comes out with a burnt crust taste instead of smoked. We ordered the Bruschetta to go and the tomatoes were latge wedges and there was almost no seasoning to them. We had to cut them up to smaller pieces to eat our meal. The bread was not toasted as much as it was burnt on the edges. The fougasse was really good and was the only positive for us for this meal. We don't like to eat in the restaurant due to the noise level at dinner time. The space is attractive and nostalgic to a point but all the sounds resonate off the high metal ceiling and wide open space. I'm getting frustrated with this pandemic. I keep trying new restaurants, but so many of them are to go. Which I know takes away from the quality a bit, shoving food in a box and driving it half an hour. Nevertheless, this pizza still gets 5 stars. I ordered the Naples style because they are one of just a few in the states that are authorized to make authentic Naples style pizza. It was my least favorite of the three. The best was the arugula fig pizza. This will be my first stop next time I'm in Indiana, and I will buy two of these pizzas. Absolutely amazing combination of toppings. Came here with my family (of 6 + a toddler) and we ordered 4 pizzas, but then a waitress accidentally gave us a pizza that wasn't ours and since she had already set it on our table, their rules are that it can't go to a different table. I really loved all the pizzas - they are cooked in their oven at nearly 1000 degrees for 90 seconds! So it's not your typical Pizza Hut/cosmos/dominos/papa johns/etc. Much more authentic - not Americanized. Love the outdoor seating that they offer cause there's not tons of space inside. Unfortunately the road was slightly busy with semi's and it sometimes made it difficult to hear each other around the table. The margarita pizza was phenomenal, staff was friendly and attentive, and they had a great selection of unique cocktails. Wine list was limited, but didn't take away from the experience. We received such great service at Venturi I have to do some bragging. It had been years since I had been here and was eager to try it again. We made a date night out of it on a Goshen First Fridays and were surprised our wait time was relatively short regardless of the crowd and the Friday night dinner hour. They texted us when our table was ready so this allowed for us to visit some of the shops nearby while we waited (the restaurant is small and there isn't much of a waiting area). Our waitress was super friendly and informative, asking us if we had visited before and giving us a rundown of the Venturi history and what they served. As a Neapolitan pizza joint, they are known for their wood-fire pizza made with crushed tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, fresh toppings, and homemade mozzarella. They are in Yelp's Top 50 Indiana restaurants! We started with the Seasonal Bruschetta which came with a generous portion of homemade mozzarella, fresh tomatoes, arugula, basil, roasted red peppers, olives, and wood-fire bread slices. Perfect for 2! We followed this up with a Pepperoni Pizza (easily shared among 2 people). A delicious Panna Cotta was offered to us on the house because they had felt bad we were tucked in a corner table. I will say though that we were perfectly content and had great service, this offering was just a generous token from them and definitely made a great impression.
