I dont even know where to start, we had our wedding here this past Saturday 1/23/16 it was everything and more than I expected! Karen our event planner there was amazing beyond words so helpful nice and understanding. Frank - nicest guy ever. The staff there was amazing on our night they worked so hard. My only sad thing is it went by so fast !!!! Venuti's has become quite a huge establishment with the opening of their new facility on Lake Street. It is a huge place, encompassing 3 banquet halls, a chapel (one stop shopping for weddings!), and a restaurant and very large bar. We stopped at the bar for a couple of drinks and really enjoyed it. It's definitely more upscale, lots of marble and huge staircases, and a large dome over the round bar with twinkling stars overhead. Upscale crowd, little bit older, lots of men in suits. They had live music, and the singers were good; they played a lot of 80's and 90's dance music. We ordered appetizers and they were delicious; a grilled calamari was very tasty. Fun place! read more

Went here recently for a family baptism banquet. We started with a grilled octopus with caramelized red onions it was nice & tender only complaint It was a small plate of octopus for 10 ppl at one table. Had a tasty cream of asparagus soup. Salad course looked pretty but was also very small. My favorite course was the pasta with a mushroom cream rreduction it was very flavorful and I finished every bite.The main entree was a breast of lemon chicken. It tasted bland, as if the chicken was precooked and reheated. We had a nice cannoli cake for dessert. read more

Went here last night for the first time with my wife and another couple. The place is very nice and large. The ambiance and design is very comfortable and they have spent a significant amount of money on the building. The place is a restaurant and banquet hall (restaurant is in the front.) Meal was good. A nice variety of Italian foods, traditional chicken, veal, and pasta dishes. The place is a certainly on the more expensive side but not outrageous. Nice wine list and very nice desert list. I would recommend for romantic night out or a fun time with friends. read more

Venutis has the rudest wait staff I've ever come across. I had a wedding here and then went to Mother's Day brunch. Our server came by our table once or twice, never even gave us directions to go ahead and grab plates and begin at the buffet...it was our first time and our table was on the outskirts so we didn't know what was going on. We were flagging down bus boys to try to get a drink and when all was said and done we were presented with a bill that included $71 in gratuity for a woman that made it clear to us that she didn't want to serve us in the first place. As we were looking to get a cup of coffee, she was standing at the bar eating a plate of food. To make matters worse, our cards were charged several times and we now have over $1000 in pending charges to venutis. Absolutely ridiculous and the managers will do nothing to rectify the situation. I wanted to take a minute and leave a review as we were there for a wedding last month in January and had a great experience. My wife and I had been to two other weddings at other locations recently and found ourselves comparing the experiences. Line by line if you will, Venuti's came out on top. The food and venue were both well above average and I found the staff to be very attentive and courteous. One has to understand that for any "mass service" there can be bottlenecks, for instance when the entrees come out all 250 at a time or the bar reopens after dinner. This was not overlooked in our experience as we never had much of a wait and this likely attributed to adequate staffing (lots of service people) and experienced management. Never again. Went there with some terrific people from work which is the only thing that saved me from complaining to the manager. Mediocre buffet food- presentation just okay, desserts are dry, tons of carb heavy choices. Our waitress was Ok but there was one waitstaff who when I asked if there was anymore of something they ran out, after a long delay she said she'd check for me then proceeded t finish organizing the buffet foods while I just stood there for several minutes. The two he bill comes and because of our party size, the tip is already added to our bill at 20%. Really!?! 20% for a buffet?!?! And a clearly hating her job and not caring about customer service at all manning the buffet. Like I said- NEVER AGAIN!! read more

As a bride on 10/20/18, Venuti's is an absolutely beautiful place to have a wedding reception. I have nothing but the highest of praises for Ciara, our wedding coordinator, and Theresa, our AMAZING waitress the night of the wedding. From the first meeting, to the tasting, to the night of the wedding EVERYTHING was handled with grace and utmost importance. All of our questions were answered promptly (usually within 24 hrs but most of the time only in a couple of hours). The food is amazing, the people are wonderful, the venue itself is breathtaking. If I could do it all again I would choose Venuti's again.. and again.. and again. It's that good. Also, the bakery they work with.. had one of the best and moist wedding cakes ever. Their wedding packages are all inclusive down to the wedding cake. Guests could not stop complementing the food. We could not have been more pleased with this venue. Venuti's was a delight. I didn't like the fact they don't have prime beef but the lasagna made up for it. Homemade and fresh its one of the top pasta dishes I've had. I think they need to offer a few more meat dishes, but other than that its a winner for me. read more

I have been here for weddings before and they are the most beautiful wedding receptions I have ever seen. The food is amazing. I am currently getting married and have already put my deposit down because I know they will make our special day perfect. My husband and I had our wedding reception here back in October and everything was PERFECT! Venuti's staff are very helpful, flexible and very accommodating :) The food even tasted better on the night of our wedding than it did on the day of our tasting a year before! Been here a few times so we decided to join them for their New Years Eve event- not worth it. I paid $130 and did not feel as though it was money well spent. The baked clams (one do my favorite seafood dishes) were mushy and cold. The pasta from the pasta station had no flavor. The midnight snack was lental soup which was actually not bad. The 3 DJ's and band ALL played the same songs. Not to mention I purchased one ticket and was charged for two- my money was given back but not after numerous phone calls. read more

extremely bad experience. I ordered foods for taking out. The person answering the phone call didn't know their menu. I was reading from their menu and they said they've never had such things. So I drove there. I ordered for about 10 people, and they kept counting how many orders I've placed and complainting that it was tooooo much! We'll pay for it so just shut up and write down what I was saying! Everyone was standing there, talking about their vacation, not serving me, even didn't give me a cup of water! Beware of up charges for crumpled blue cheese on salads. Not mentioned on menu buy pushed by the waitress without mentioning extra charge The "manager" was surly when brought to her attention. NOT really a Restaurant! -- in my opinion. Went there on a weeknight because it seemed to have 4+ star reviews here. As far as a restaurant, although the server appeared to be experienced, he did not provide restaurant level service -- very sluggish. All of our salads seemed to have been soaking in dressing for quite some time -- almost as if the just dished out the salad that was left over from lunch. My son and I had the bolognese sauce -- I thought it was very good -- good flavors. My wife had the panna sauce, she was not impressed. I now remember why I quit coming here ... I was a regular for about a year and used to stop off weekly in the bar for pizza bread and a glass of wine. One time the blond female bartender served me pizza bread and it was halfway off the plate kind of laying partially on the bar. It also took a long time for her to wait on me. Another time I was there on my birthday and told her it was my birthday and she just said "oh". After that I didn't go back for a few years. Just recently a two for one pasta coupon came in the mail and I decided to go back thinking maybe she moved on and no longer worked there. Well, there she was and she recognized me and said "I haven't seen you for ages!". After looking at the bar's new half price happy hour menu, I spotted several bargains and decided to choose those instead of a two for one pasta special. I ordered pizza bread, fried squid, and crab cakes for dirt cheap. It took about 15 minutes for her to put my order in and there was just one other couple in the bar seated at a table. Apparently they didn't have an artichoke dish which I also ordered. Thats fine that they didn't have it, the real issue is that she delayed the entire order for a long, long time. When the food finally came (that also took a long time), I planned to eat the pizza bread and just sample the squid and crab cakes, then bring them home. The pizza bread was terrible. I absolutely love pizza and pizza bread and it takes a special kind of talent to ruin it for me. The crust was stale, the sauce had no flavor, and the cheese was sparse. The squid also had no taste and had some kind of wierd white breading on it. The crab cakes were very good. I took the remaining appetizers home for leftovers for family. When it came time for a second glass of wine, I had to wait and wait even though the bar was nearly empty. I also had to flag her down to get my check because she was chatting with the other couple and not behind the bar. The wine is reasonably priced here, and I'm guessing that the service in the restaurant itself is probably much better than the bar area. I'd take advantage of the two for one pasta coupon if you get one in the mail and check it out. However, watch the wine prices. One time a waiter in the restaurant tried to charge me a dollar more for the same wine I got in the bar for $5, but that was sometime back. read more

There was a private party going on. I decided to go dance(crashed a party). The rude banquet waitress told me to leave, I sincerely apologized and went back to m friends. Five minutes later the owner/manager came up to me and was a total jerk to me about it. I had to apologize two more times. Amazing!!!! This place rocks!! I typically visit on the weekdays and take advantage of the half price appetizers in the lounge. Its great I go in after a hard day of work to eat and drink like a Queen! I typically get some delicious Grilled Calamari and two glasses of my favorite wine Menage a Trois wine for $20 bucks!!! It is a steal of a deal and the food is out the world. My last visit I was there the blonde bartender was so kind to invite my to come back on Friday. Apparently they have bands EVERY Friday with no Cover at the Door!!!!!! I checked it out this past weekend and it was Rocking Out!!! The Band was called Chi Town Soul. So I came in ordered a bottle of wine and got FREE LIVE ENTERTAINMENT. What a deal!!!!!!! More restaurants should copy the genius setup on keeping their customers Happy!!!!!!!!!! For what other places charge for cover I was able to get two drinks!!! I like that idea better! Way to offer great Food, Drinks and Entertainment Venutis!!!! Just attended a wedding here and was very impressed with the atmosphere and most importantly the food! They served the chicken marsala, pork chop, and salmon at the wedding. The pork chop was huge and really good and the chicken was okay. No one at our table had the salmon. I'm not sure if the wedding cake was from here but that was delicious to. My only complaint is that the servers were so eager to take out plates when we were still eating! I still had my fork in hand when she tried to take my plate and I told her I want finished. Shortly after that I got up to get a cup of coffee and when I got back my food was gone! :-( read more
