This review is about Ryan P. (this is not the owner whose name is also Ryan). I knew literally from the moment I met Ryan I had an outstanding employee that knew his stuff. He greeted me with both warmth and a unique authenticity. I needed to buy two readers because some of my glasses had caused a broken blood vessel on the side of my nose. It was tricky to find the right fit. Ryan was so knowledgeable that he knew how to approach the challenge. He measured the bridge on a pair of my glasses that fit well. Then he strategically looked at the different frames in the store to have me choose which frames I liked. All of the frames he chose fit me and weren't going to cause a problem on the side of my nose. Ryan P. was so thorough that he noticed that the prescriptions I gave him weren't correct. What a keen eye. He treated my situation so caring as if he were dealing with a family member. I never felt rushed or pressured. Family owned business with amazing customer service. My fiance got glasses from them years and go and raved about it them so he wanted to come back for his next pair. We arrived after they were closed due to an error on Google Maps but Ryan P let us in anyways when he saw us standing outside. Veo has a fantastic selection of frames and top notch customer service. They had no problem changing the lenses in a pair of frames purchased elsewhere. The lenses were more expensive than your standard eyewear store but the difference in quality is noticable especially on larger lenses with a high prescription. They were the only place around that could do this and they were totally fine with me bringing my own frame. I've had nothing but amazing experiences at Veo! On two separate occasions, I brought in sunglasses that needed repairs--neither of which I had purchased there. Despite that, the staff went above and beyond to help. Both times, they were incredibly friendly and fixed them for free! One time, they repaired them on the spot, and the other time I had to leave them overnight. Even then, the team was super communicative and kept me updated. As a bonus, they even made a free adjustment to the nose pads, which was such a thoughtful touch. Although I didn't purchase anything during my visits, their selection looked awesome! read more

I went into Veo today. Ryan was a superstar and helped fix my DITA glasses. They were missing a bolt. He also showed me some nice replacement glasses from DITA and a Swedish brand. They are super lightweight and customizable. Now I need to bring my husband in to get a second opinion because I am torn between the glasses. Veo Optics has beautiful eyewear; but where they really shine is the people that work there and the expertise they provide. James did an excellent job helping me to pick sunglasses and regular glasses that I get complimented on. Ryan P helped me with my sunglasses repair (it's so amazing that they have this service when you scratch up your favorite pair of sunglasses), and he taught me about cleaning my sunglasses better and put all the glasses I had with me in Veo's awesome automated glasses wash (highly recommend!). My friend just got her People of Jamestown glasses again! This time with transition lens and a different colored frame (previously red now retro coffee brown). The process was easy and smooth. Her previous pair lasted her for a long a time because the lens and frame is durable. What made the most difference is how knowledge and detailed oriented Cedric the manager was. He helped us understand the frame, weight, lens color (options and choice) how they will look and fit (my friend's smaller facial frame and shorter nose bridge required some adjustments and his advice was particularly helpful). I dropped into Veo Optics this week to see about a tightening. Cedric, the manager/optician, was such a delight. Not only did he attempt to tighten my frames without breaking them, free of charge, he told me to return for a free polish since I scratched the frames in a bad fall. On top of that, Cedric kindly counseled me on what to say to the company I bought my glasses from, so that they would replace frames. He was super kind, extremely professional & knowledgable, efficient & a brilliant communicator. I tried to tip him for his time but he wouldn't let me. The experience blew me away & I really appreciated it as I am very poor & cannot afford glasses from Veo. Now I will consider saving up & buying my next pair here. Thank you, Cedric! No one had told me there are easy transition progressives (no fish bowl or real adjustment necessary) but I was introduced by VEO to them when I was asking about transitions for my prescription and complaining about how I have two pairs of glasses now one for reading and one for distance . Cedric is exceptional and embodies the true spirit of service. I came to him with a cracked pair of hand-made glasses that were expensive. My lenses are highly specialized and cost even more at around $1000. So I had to replace the frames with an exact pair or be forced to pay $1500+ for a new set of everything. When I met with him to discuss my options, he offered to have them repaired by an outside vendor--and at a fraction of the price. I was taken aback. This wasn't even on my radar.
