Chicken Verdiles comes with either pasta or 2 sides

I grew up in the Lansingburgh area so I've known about Verdiles for many years. For those that do not know Verdiles, it is a family run restaurant and back when they first started it was their mother who made the pasta sauce and meatballs. Her recipes are still used today. I love going there, the staff is very warm and welcoming. Everyone is treated like family. The atmosphere reminds me of a 1960's Italian restaurant. They have made many updates and changes to the restaurant but it still has that vibe. I love looking at all the pictures of the Verdiles family that are around the restaurant. I recommend their homemade pasta with your meal. Great food, great atmosphere and great service. You can't go wrong.

It has been quite a few years since SO and I dined at Verdile's. Servers used to be all men in tuxes, but this visit we were greeted by a lovely young woman who was quite efficient taking our order. There is a parking on the side of the building. Appetizer was fried calamari, which comes with choice of marinara, cocktail sauce or remoulade. Tentacles and rings were cooked to perfection, not greasy, tender and golden crispy delicious. Enough for two to share without totally ruining your dinner. Dinner entrees do not include a side salad but does include a lovely loaf of bread. I ordered the fettuccine alfredo with shrimp and scallops. Alfredo sauce was thick and heavenly, pasta was homemade/fresh, just never enough shrimp and scallops for a pescetarian. Was glad to see Verdile's still open. Is a good place for a good meal.

Classic classy and delicious. Wonderful service and the menu is varied and unique. Close to Peebles island state park for a wonderful pre or post meal walk along the Mohawk River.

For over 75 years Verdiles has been hosting customers providing great food and great service. Old school atmosphere is quite welcoming. Menu is fresh and updated. Parking is plentiful. Prices are reasonable. I love the congenial atmosphere in the bar.

Amazing experience here with the kamayan feast that was prepared with love by Chef Champ!…read more When we arrived, the table was all set. Chef Champ greeted us and learned each guest's name and showed us how to properly grab the food for kamayan. We were encouraged to grab a drink from the fridge, and I had the calamansi. We feasted on chicken lumpia with Thai chili sauce, lechon with garlic vinegar, chicken inasal, sweet and sour snapper with rice, 3 types of sauces and fruit. And as a dessert, we had beautifully prepared halo halo. After the meal, Chef Champ explained the hand painted wall and the inspiration for the design. This was such a wonderful and cozy experience. I wish I lived closer to Troy so I could go back again!

Menu changes so keep an eye out. If owner is reading this, please add fresh lumpia to the menu once in a blue moon (because that's something I've refused to try cooking at home it's too many components). For anyone wondering what that is it's a savory crepe with cooked vegetables with a sweet and salty sauce and it's so good. Halo halo was good. Reminded me of the days when my parents would buy halo halo from the Filipino storefronts on summer weekends in southern California where i grew up. I got 2, 1 for me and 1 for my fiance. It seemed as though 2 different people made our halo halos because his had coconut, mine didn't and his had a garlic aftertaste like when you cut a fruit on a cutting board after cutting garlic on a cutting board since garlic is strong. Service was so fast. It's all preorder so i ordered the day before, got a text ~15 min before my pick up time that it was ready and picked it up. It's a small place, cute and cozy for a fast meal or for takeout. We know where we'll get our halo halo fix. That and fresh lumpia are the things i eye on the weekly preorder menu

Opinion: Best Chineses food in Troy!…read more By the looks of the building, I was always skeptical and for years passed it by. One day out of sheer curiosity, I decided to go in and give it a try just for ha ha's. I was not disappointed! I was wowed! The food there is served fresh, hot, and delicious! I was so impressed with the crispiness of their eggrolls, and the perfect vegetable steaming. My noodles are always tasty, delicious, and not over or undercooked. I have been a frequent flyer at this establishment ever since I walked in that door. The staff (family) are very sweet, gentle people, and are very gracious and accommodating. I will be a regular at this establishment for the foreseeable future, so kudos to Yip's Garden! I have not been able to find better Chinese food in this area, and will no longer be looking elsewhere.

Yip's Garden opened in the former Sunny's Wok in North Troy…read more I stopped by this Chinese takeout restaurant for lunch takeout very recently. I ordered the L5. Pork Lo Mein with Pork Fried Rice Lunch Special ($7.25 plus tax) and a Large Wonton Soup ($5.50 plus tax). There was a bit of a language barrier when I ordered at the counter. The place is small and there are a few tables for eating in. My food was hot and ready in 8 minutes after ordering and paying. The lo mein had a mix of thin roast pork strips, cabbage, onions, & carrots with soft noodles. The lomein was not too oily. The yellow fried rice cooked soft and had egg and tender roast pork pieces. The wonton soup had small, very soft pork wontons in plenty of hot chicken broth. Overall, I would return here again for Chinese takeout.
