Hello fellow yelper, I've been coming to Verdure and getting massages from Anna for years. I've left reviews before but today I had my first massage from Lilly and I had to leave another one! Lilly is also such a gifted and intuitive healer! I came in for a 90min deep tissue and because Anna was away for the next couple of weeks took the risk of trying someone new, and Lilly was equally amazing! She has such a knowledge of the body and how everything is connected and was able to work my body loose from what I though was simply a locked neck/shoulder. I recommend both Anna and Lilly if you're going to try Verdure Massage, though I'm sure everyone that works there is as equal a gifted healer as these two amazed women! Im so glad I found this massage place close to my house. My husband and I were looking for a place to get a good deep tissue massage for some time now. I booked a 90 minute massage at Verdure Massage for both of us a few days ahead and got a courtesy confirmation text. Day of: It was by far the best massage we ever got. We asked for a single room, so we were able to be next to one another. They ask you to come inside the room, and where the male & female will be. They came in a few minutes later ready to start. ( We weren't given instruction to undress to our underwear and get under sheets, so do that! Don't be shy). The girls ask for your preference of intensity and get down to business. I asked for hard, and it was a good hard all the way around. My back was kneaded out the most but my neck and extremities got the love too. For 2 people, it ended up costing 180. I have been here 4 times and all but one time I have seen Zoe. Zoe does an absolutely excellent massage! She really knows what she is doing and I always leave feeling incredibly relaxed. The place is clean and professional and they are very nice. My only issue is, Sadly, one day I forgot to ask for Zoe when scheduling and got another woman, L--y, who was beyond horrible. She spent the first half hour patting me over the sheet, and the rest was just...really bad. I told her where I was tense, (back and neck) and she spent maybe 10 minutes of 90 minutes on those areas, and it wasn't good. I have massages one a month the past 6 months. The service was great! My 2nd visit this girl kept farting gave it another chance (we're human). The last month I've gone, the girl was falling asleep while massaging me. She just kept pausing and going.. My mother and I have now been to Verdure three times and have made plans to go every other week. Zoe has done two of my three (didn't get name of first masseuse) massages and her technique is amazing. The 90 minute was probably one of the best I've ever had. I will continue to ask for her. She rates at the top with the massages I received vacationing in Thailand. Anna has done all three for my mother and she loves her (I know this because she was snoring very loudly beside me). I was so SO excited for this massage. I haven't had one in almost 2 years. I signed up for a 90 min prenatal massage. It started off great and I was loving what my therapist was doing. After 5-10 min, someone came in and switched with her. Her massage was okay, but not as good as who I initially had. The major issue was that she left my room over 10 times during my massage to answer the door and talk to customers in the lobby. When she left she would leave the door open and I was uncovered. She also answered the phone multiple times while in my room and continued to massage me with one hand while talking to other customers. I felt like I could not relax at all and was just frustrated during the entire experience. She apologized and told me instead of $90 she would charge $80. When I left I looked at their brochure and website and the massage was listed at $80 anyways. This was the most unprofessional massage I have ever had. This was our second time going for a Couples massage. Our Masseuse were Yan and Lily and they both did a wonderful job. We could book the appointment at the very last minute and they were accommodating. From the check-in process to the final steps, it was a wonderful experience. I've come here many time before and felt amazing every time. I went back today and had the worst experience. (I can't remember the name of the lady who did my massage). It was the worst massage I've ever gotten. In the beginning I told her that I wanted medium pressure and my problem areas were my neck, shoulders and upper back. I mentioned that I have a lot of knots. She asked me "pressure okay?" And I said "harder please" because the pressure was lower than soft. She was barely rubbing oil over my body. No pressure was applied. Once I told her to apply some pressure, she said "too many knots". I didn't even know what to say to that. She continue rubbing oil all over my body. She didn't emphasize on the knots at all. She also kept "massaging" my bones. There was a time when she squeezed my knees. It felt extremely uncomfortable. I obviously didn't want to leave a tip given that I had wasted $70. I was leaving and she asked me "excuse please leave me some tip" I said I didn't want to and walked out. Worst massage ever. The worst massage I've ever had, and I get massages every month. I requested a foot massage over the phone and they said I had to do 60 min full body but could do 30 minute foot & 30 minute body, I complied. When I arrived they advertised a 30 min foot massage, strange. During the massage I had to remind her it was supposed to be 30 min foot then only got 15 minute foot massage. Along with that, the sheet was not draped properly, her nails scratched me, she used gloves during the foot massage and the entire massage was ABRUPT AND ROUGH!!! I'm not gonna lie it was average at best. Came in for a 60 min massage and the first thing I mentioned was that I had a kink in the left side of my neck and that she was welcome to use as much pressure as needed. The massage ended up being more like 40 minutes because she started late, left the room 3-4 times in the middle of the massage, ended early, and at the end I left with the same neck pain. If I'm being honest I would've been happy if she had spent the whole time working just my neck, but instead it was basically just ignored. I get massages regularly as an athlete and this is the first time I've had a complaint. I still left a tip because to be fair it is cheaper than other places, but you should probably just spend the extra money and get a nice massage down the street that actually makes you feel the difference. read more

I normally don't post on Yelp. I've always been more of a lurker. However, I felt one comment stuck out like a sore thumb with inaccuracies. Nothing annoys me more than ill-informed or poor mannered posts who claim a lot of things but no evidence to support their so-called revelations. My partner and I go to Verdure Massage almost every month and we've always had exceptional service. Everyone is nice and really courteous. To the person called Little Y., your overdramatic tone comes off totally ignorant and racist, how are you going to insult people whose first language isn't English?! Based on all of your prior reviews of other places, it's fair to say you are a self-entitled & very negative individual. I have never had an issue communicating with any of the masseuses there when I needed them to change pressure or when requesting hot rocks. Sure there was one instance I had to repeat myself, but kindness doesn't cost a dime. Moreover, I have never had a massage naked there even when I did a full body massage with my partner. We stripped down to our boxers and they always placed layers of towels on us so none of our essentials were visible at any point. The only parts that were visible were our arms, back, calves, and feet. However, they were only visible when our masseuses were working on those parts specifically. Otherwise, we were always covered with a steamed towel in every session there. When getting a legit massage you generally feel somewhat sore because your muscles are getting a workout sort to speak. The massage therapist stretches the muscles to provide efficient blood flow so your muscles can work at their best long term. After any massage you are always recommended to drink tons of water to reduce the soreness. If you have a problem during the session, COMMUNICATE. As long as Verdure continues to provide excellent service, they will continue to have my business. That's my two cents and I'm keeping it! read more

Surprised with of these 5star reviews!! Had a couples massage, but wasn't satisfied. Way tooo much OIL!!! I asked for less oil on my upper body but the gal repeated the same thing on my lower body. They don't speak English! I was lathered up in oil like a chicken back and worth. Didn't get all the spots, I'm thinking because it's too slippery?! My hubby had the same experience. I had no pillow under my legs when laying on my belly which caused the pressure on my back and I was aching after. ALSO, the door peep hole is for them to look at you so obviously they see you naked! Well I called before going in, I asked if they did prenatal massages as I am pregnant and my body aches. They said yes. Then when I get there I was expected to only lay on my side. They DO NOT have special set up for pregnancy. I was extremely disappointed but I drove 30 minutes there and was hoping it would be worth it. The pressure and massage itself seemed alright but $80 plus $20 tip for me to be uncomfortable during the massage. I felt my body couldn't relax and I didn't feel much relief from this massage unfortunately Because of the position my body had to stay in. If you're pregnant I do not recommend this if your belly has grown! They do not have special pillows or set up for your belly to be in....it'll be a waste of money if you're laying on your side because your body will be tense from having to hold yourself up basically. Wish I could've asked for my money back when I realized how much this massage did nothing for me. I'm sure they're great for normal massages but not pregnancy. read more
